I would give a Zero star if I could! horrible people! I took my car here for a engine light change they gave me list of stuff, wind shield wipers, oil change, tune up, brakes, rear wiper blades motor. 3,700+ tax laterwhen I got my car back the my rear defroster does not work, got damage from replacing the motor, they want to charge me another 300+ to fix it! for something that they broke, I look it up the parts to fix it is less than 20 bucks! they end up fixing it and not charge methen the engine light is on again!? and will not take gas! 700 bucks later! now my car is leaking gas??? and still will not take gas! oh and yes there will always charge for diagnostic for the same stuff that they miss.he said oh it's the other parts now, another 600 some $I will never come back to this place very shady,

These guys are so awesome. Took care of my work van when water pump broke and they were super nice and fast and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them.

Quick and ahead of estimated timeMy 2000 Toyota Camry broke down in Bremerton, I had the car towed to PSAR to get an estimate of its cost. Chase said it might be the following Wednesday before they could look at it as they were booked that far out I was there on Wednesday, and I said ok. Chase called me on Friday with the estimate I said I would have to think about it as it was a good sum of money to have everything fixed. I called him on Monday and asked if we could do the essential to get the car running again. Chase said sure and I ok'd the work. He called the next morning the car was ready. So even though they were very busy they were able to get my care fixed well ahead of what I thought it would have been.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Puget Sound Auto Repair is an outstanding auto repair shop. Allen, the owner is honest and is up front with the repair cost. The crew, including in the office communicate well. and they are very good at what they do. I am a local business owner. I take all of my vehicles to this shop because of the trust that I have in them through my past experiences. I cannot recommend them more highly.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Alan and his team were able to fix an engine that we thought was heading to a junk yard another shop told us we needed head or new engine for 5k or not worth fixing...towed it to Alan He started it few days later and said he was pretty sure it was fixable. It was a broken rocker spring and rod and he was able to fix it total bill $700 ish including tow. Definitely going back in the future. Honest good mechanics are hard to find.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Allen and his team of mechanics and office staff have done amazing work on our vehicles. I couldn t be more happy with their honesty, competitive pricing and the work they do. They fixed everything! A one stop shop for all your needs. I trust them 100% to work on any of my vehicles and will definitely recommend them to all my friends and family. Great job guys.

My axle broke and my wheel came off. I spent a lot of money having people guess how to fix it. I took it in to Puget Sound Auto and they fixed it right up. Excellent customer service, super friendly staff. They let me fix a little at a time so I was able to stay on budget. I would give them 10 stars!! I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for quality service at a fair price.

While this review is from my first experience, it will not be my last.I was impressed with the communication and thoroughness of the whole crew here.The problem with my vehicle was explained well. They kept me updated throughout the process. They were able to fix the problem within a more than reasonable time frame.I am happy to have found this repair shop.

Great place. Checked my transmission and let me know what needs to be done next at a great cost. I've known the owner for a little while now, but he's only had this garage for about a year, so I wouldn't go by the reviews older than that for this crew. I'll definitely be going back for auto repairs.

My wife brought her truck in for an oil change (they were booked but were able to squeeze her in - thank you), and found her driveshaft had come loose. She has a trip to Vancouver this weekend, and had she gone to Jiffy Lu** instead, she d probably be stranded on the freeway! Alan spoke with me about the situation and graciously was able to get the part(s), and repair it albeit their busy schedule. All for a fair price. I'm part of Martin's dyno tune customer base and we are super lucky to host dyno day here. I in particular am the one guy two weekends ago that used tools from the Mac box at the end of the shop and I am eternally grateful for you guys. I had to do my timing belt twice in the gravel on the side of the building, (took 1.25hrs) but this is about me appreciating the opportunity to be there. I hope it lasts forever and your owner must be a really really awesome guy. Nice waiting room!!

My truck stopped running and would not start again, I took it in not knowing the cause and Puget Sound Auto Repair work quickly and diligently to figure out the issue and fix it. They are competent, fair and reasonable with excellent customer service and keep you in the loop when working on your vehicle. After a lot of trouble chasing the cause of the issue they were able to fix it and charged me a fair price. I have lived in the area my whole life and dealt with most of the auto repair shops in our town and have been either over charged or disappointed in their work, Puget Sound Auto Repair is first of only 3 shops I would recommend or even take my vehicles to in all of Port Orchard.

I don't trust anyone else to work on my vehicles besides these guys. Awesome work, awesome prices. And very flexible. They even offered me a replacement ride whilst they worked on my truck. Super glad they left D&W auto shop to start their own business. Good people all around.

I have been a customer for about 8 years now. This shop is not the cheapest in town but what is a fact is that the integrity of the ownership to do the best for the customer is without question. I recently had a series of things go wrong with a car. The owner worked with me to get everything fixed. He even made repairs to the faulty computer module to save me from an expensive replacement. It was nerve racking at times because I had to trust that his recommendations would work and that it would not create a substantial financial hardship in the process. I followed his advice because of my history with the owner and the quality of work I had received in the past. This shop delivered for me this time like no other I know would do. The car runs better now than it has in quite some time. I can say that it is extremely comforting to trust this business to do the right thing for the customer.

I had my engine replaced. Allen the owner is very professional and will give you the straight truth about your problem. I took my truck in with a engine problem, after he looked at it he showed me all the problems, not just tell me. I understand some about motors and could tell from what he showed me that it needed to be replaced. He provided me with a very good recommendation on a motor company and I am glad I went with it.

Rick did some (a lot) of work on my Ford Explorer last year. It was in rough shape and it ran like a top when he was done with it.I'm a little late writing this review but I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else.I was also very ill at the time and Rick took 20% off of my bill. All the employees are super nice. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you Rick.

I had my 2003 Ford F-250 powerstroke bullet proofed and had Allen and his mechanic do the job for me and I am glad I choose Puget Sound Auto because my trucks performance is out standing and the Diesel mechanic knows his Diesels. I highly recommend Puget Sound Auto Repair. Thanks for the great job Allen.

Great one-on-one comprehensive service.A special "Thank You" to Brenda for arranging to stay open late until the tow truck arrived with my car. I can't be driving around with a broken engine mount. My car was repaired the following day. True to their cost estimate!

This independent shop is straight up with diagnostics and disclosure of problems and solutions. I have never once felt they were taking advantage or talking down to me because I am a woman. Highly recommend.

Fan Clutch R&RI was having a problem with overheating and it was noticed that the fan clutch needed replacing. I drove the car over the weekend and it didn't get over 220 on the highway or 195 on back roads. So, I feel this has corrected the overheating problem. Now I can enjoy cruising again, without having to worry about it overheating. The work was quick and everyone was professional. Also, I wasn't charged an arm and a leg for the work. I will come back , if I need any other work accomplished. Thank you for your help.

Allen Allers, family and crew have an excellent repair shop. My Chevy Silverado had a what I found to be a common problem for Chevy/GMC trucks and SUV's from 2000-2008. The steering column intermediate shaft bump and rattle with subsequent wear. Our local Les Schwabb had replaced the intermediate shaft several years ago, which seemed to do the trick. But, the issue came back with a vengeance this year. Schwabb evaluated the issue again and stated honestly that it was beyond their capabilities. The recommended Puget Sound Auto Repair for the next step. I had not done business with these caring folks before. From the moment I walked into the office, it felt right. Allen worked with me on several posted options until we came up with the one that worked. For the time he spent working on this, I know he did not charge fairly for himself. My problem is fixed, he now has a solution to the issue for subsequent vehicles, and he earned a lifetime loyal customer.I have been working on vehicles for over forty years and can attest to the fact that Allen Allers is a, what us old shadetrees would call, Top Mechanic, todays vernacular being Top Tech.Thank you again for your caring, professionalism, and work ethic.Ken Jensen

Our 2004 Honda CRV stalled-out on HWY 16 and we were lucky enough to tow our car to the shop before close. By 5PM the next day, they were able to diagnose & fix the problem (a burnt-out valve timing oil switch & VVT solenoid gasket). Great shop ... super skilled mechanics who problem solve fast for an affordable rate! I would highly recommend Puget Sound Auto Repair!!

I take my 07 Hyundai to PSAR for all maintenance and repair needs. They are the trustworthy, professional and friendly mechanics I have been looking for. I was buying a used Ford truck from a private party in Port Orchard and wanted to have it checked out before purchase. This company gave the truck a clean bill of health, just citing "low coolant level". I thought, ok $10 for some coolant. The "low coolant level" was actually a leaking coolant bottle which cost $1000 to repair. Either they didn't diagnose that or they didn't bother to tell me what repair entailed. I don't think they caught it though. I took it to a Ford dealer and they saw it right away. Had I had it diagnosed correctly, I wouldn't have bought the car, or asked the seller for that much money off the asking price. So do yourself a favor and take a used car you are buying to a dealer who looks at that kind of car all the time.
