Swain General store has been in serving the Port Angeles area for decades. It s a fantastic old Timey general store feel. Has a great selection on tools, sporting goods, garden supplies, home improvement, and much more. I typically find this place to have many of the little mechanical parts or pieces that I m looking for on their shelves. Not to say they don t also supply fishing licenses and hunting licenses for the consumer. Would Port Angeles definitely try these guys for anything you might need.

Great experience shopping. The store has so many items, it takes a lot of exploring to see everything. I'm a Fiesta owner / collector and I found a good collection of Fiesta dishes for sale.

Must stop and shop for travelers and locals alike. I can find almost anything I need at Swains! I really like the selection of men's and women's clothes. They stock reliably good products.

What can I say? It s the perfect small town general store. It s my first stop for all kinds of stuff, from hardware to clothes, cooking and cleaning supplies, auto and outdoors goods. I love the place!

Cool beans. The place to go for gifts souvenirs and necessities. Definitely worth a stop. If you are on a vacation get the best souvenirs ever plus pick up the stuff you forgot. If you are passing through stop by to get gifts for yourself and loved ones. Coooooool beans

Great place in Port Angeles for hardware like Ace, but also lots of other goods, gifts and unique things. Since 1957, it says. I love the popcorn.

Swain's is the perfect place for whatever you may need. You name it they have it. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Swain's.

We were visiting Washington and this store was highly recommended as having everything. That may be true- they have a lot of things from $ 39 butter dishes to food and shoes. Which is what we went there looking for. My husband found a pair of sketchers for $80. Pricey. He wore them for 15 minutes - literally and the ball of his foot starts hurting. We drove back the next day to return them. He had them 1 day! The store clerk wrinkled her nose and said she would have to call the manager. There was nothing wrong in appearance, but he said he couldn't re-sell them.They were really rude and we are out $80. No signs posted anywhere about returns

Swain is the first place to go for all your basic needs in Port Angeles! There motto is Swain's has it all! And it's basically true. The folks who work there are very friendly and knowledgeable! As a fisherman I really love that their fishing department has the perfect gear for Olympic Peninsula salmon and steelhead and the guys who work there really know their business because they were actually on the water on their days off!

They literally have almost everything! I came for butane fuel in a can and they were out, but so were last 2 Walmart s i went to. I got other things. So it s probably a shortage.Super friendly staff. Glad to be giving them my $ instead of the giant big box behemoth. They are hiring and have benefits. Please support independent stores.

Swain's really does have (nearly) everything. They must treat staff well, because they have great retention. I even take out-of-town visitors there.

Wish we had a store like this closer to Seattle. This place has everything you need and more. Indoor plants are very inexpensive, kitchen gadgets galore, clothing, shoes, snacks, toy section is amazing.

Friendly & helpful staff. It's bigger than it looks from the street. Lots of great stuff. Got our crab license added to our fishing license. And picked up new raincoat & fingerless gloves.

Such a wonderful local store that has helpful folks working there that will help you find whatever you are looking for. The outdoor plants are healthy and very reasonably priced. You can get custom mixed paint colors here also in several qualities with reasonable prices. And I've never met a single worker there that I would not give 5 stars. Everyone is so nice and friendly and helpful!

I've been going to Swain's my entire life and it is such a GREAT store for the Port Angeles community. They provide great products for reasonable prices and take great care of their employees and community. There's always friendly faces at the checkout and popcorn hot and ready. Highly recommend!

Good products staff can be a little judgmental if you look super from the streets but they have a lot of products and will order things for you.

Best selection of Levi's I have ever seen!The great t-shirt selections cover full-spectrum of different styles, not just onezies, twozies on what you might be looking for, they have many, many choices of colors, sizes, and brandsI love the helpful service that the floor salesmen provide.Wow! What a great store!

Could not be happier with the service at Swains! Jeff W was extremely helpful with fixing our stroller when we needed to find the parts, he really went above and beyond what he needed to. Highly recommend!
