This place is great! They know what their doing. This is the only place I trust to work on our car. Don, the mechanic who works in our car, is great and is very experienced in his work. (Shout out to you!) Sara, the receptionist, is the best. Very friendly and personable.

Amazing service. I called the day-of for a pre-purchase inspection on a pre-owned Miata and the team at Pete Lea's were able to accommodate for it. Joe gave me an incredibly thorough report of the car's condition and was honest and detailed about everything that he found. Everybody at the shop was friendly. If I need service in the Olympia area, I will be coming back!

Love these people!These guys are the best. the are very honest, the work they do is quality, thorough, and super fast. The prices are a little high, but if you're like me and are willing to pay for quality work and peace of mind, this is it!

These Folks are incredible at what they do. Sarah at the front desk negotiated on my behalf with my service warranty company to get them to over the amount I was owed on my vehicle. When they pushed back Sarah kept them accountable and worked hard to ensure that I was taken care of. Sarah explained everything about my car to as simply as possible, and was patient as she answered all of my questions. She truly is a professional. She even gave me all the paperwork needed to take my car directly to Audi for a recall.Don took me into the shop to show me exactly what was wrong and where the leak was coming from. He explained that the problems with my car are very common and how they develop. He knew that my car had a common issue with the timing chain, and inspected t to find that indeed, my tensioner was all the way out. I was weeks or months from catastrophic engine failure before he took a look at my timing chain. He also was able to save me even more money on the valve body by getting rid of fluid build up in the wires. Don truly knew my engine and transmission inside out, and educated me on common issues with these engines. If you have a Volkswagen or Audi, and it has an FSI, TFSI OR TSI engine you gotta come here. They will take care of you and can save you tons of money. I'll be bringing all of my vehicles here from now on. They are voted #1 in the south sound for two years in a row now. That has to count for something!Again. Than you thank you thank you to Don, Sarah, and the rest of the team here. Such wonderful professional human beings.

Just got another oil change from Pete's shop and they remain a very honest mechanic shop with reasonable prices. I've been taking my car to them since I bought my car new in 2005. Pete and his mechanics don't hunt for or make up problems, unlike many others (like Meineke) and when you get an oil change there the mechanics go over the whole car, including brakes. I highly recommend this shop.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have never encountered a more honest or customer service focus mechanic in my life.This place diagnosed my car for 3 hours, and then insisted on not charging me so that I could maybe see if I wouldn't have a problem anymore if they had fixed it by doing some of the good old-fashioned wire jiggling.It's not that they didn't have the part, they did, but they were trying to save me thousands of dollars of repairs. In the end, it didn't work and they did the repair required quickly and masterfully, but the fact that they were willing to go out of their way in order to try to save me money when they thought they could, speaks volumes.The mechanic took the time to stand there with me for 20 minutes and explain what he was doing, his thought process, his prior experience, and generally just make sure I was comfortable. Fantastic.I heard a lot about this place before I came, and I can guarantee you I won't take my car anywhere else.

A VW specialty place for my 74 bugs. Hard to find a reliable, reasonably priced vw place anywhere, but this place is exactly that.

I love driving a VW because every town I live in has a great aftermarket shop ran by smart capable humans. Pete Lea's shop and crew are awesome. Never a hassle, fair prices, informative, knowledgeable, and a 10% discount, when paying with cash money. Even my dentist only offers 5%. I love these people. And I popped in for a check engine light at 9am and the part was ordered and replaced by 1 pm. The lady at the command desk knows how to roll. (Sorry, I'm not recalling your name. But you're amazing )

After Towing my Jaguar home from this facility, I noticed that the power shut off in the trunk had been messed with while troubleshooting. This mechanism is in the negative ground cable to the battery. It was very secured when my car was delivered to pete lee Automotive. It was not put back together properly, the cable was loose where it connected to the body and other grounds were very loose in the same area.A piece of trim behind L.R tail light is missing,it would be nice to get that back.Update 9/23..MY CAR IS NOW RUNNING.. it was a fuel problem. pete Lee's Automotive was a waste of time and money.

I had a pre-purchase inspection performed for a car by appointment. They were fast yet still very thorough. Once It was done they let me know immediately. They also had no problem answering the many questions I had after the inspection was done. Both the customer service representative and the technician were super friendly and very informative. Great people to work with, and I would do business with them again.

Small shop staff seemed to be knowledge. When I got my car back from them the hood latch was broken and I was not informed about it and my dashboard was not clipped back together correctly. I called them to find out what happened and they apologized I had to bring it back in and they replaced the latch and buttoned the dashboard up properly. Overall with the amount of work and headache my vehicle provided them I was pleased with them. They have reasonable rates compared to the other shops in the area that service Volkswagen. I would use them again.

I have a 2000 VW Jetta TDI that had a problem with the oil pump that my regular mechanic was not able to fix. These guys got it done right away, no problems since. Excellent and prompt service, very professional and knowledgeable, HIGHLY recommend if you have a foreign diesel car. This is the place to go.

I have been to 4 different shops in Olympia over the 15 years I have lived here, and this one is the best! The office manager knows cars, the mechanics are excellent, and the owner has taken his time to work with my insurance company to get my car fixed...when another shop passed it as safe. I cannot say enough about how professional, knowledgeable, and kind these people are! I

I've been taking cars of mine to Pete for YEARS. My family has always gone to see him, and his work is always impeccable. He's fixed every issue I've ever had with my vehicle(s), while being one of the most genuine humans I've met. Although car maintenance can be frustrating and tedious, Pete and his staff make it so simple and easy and I always look forward to visiting them!

Finally found an honest mechanic! Pete Leas Automotive is the only place I ll take my vehicles, after trying a few other foreign-car specialists. The Mercedes Benz dealership performed a known recall on my car and diagnosed three other things wrong with it took it to Pete and he only said one of the three were needed. I trust him and his shop.

I have taken my cars to Pete Lea for years and years. I won't go anywhere else and neither will my family members. Pete is fairly priced and "tells it like it is" as it applies to your car repair needs.Don't think twice about calling Pete Lea for expert care and excellent results! He can fix anything.

Fantastic - Fair - Beyond trustworthy - 100 worth my time. I had an issue with my Turbo on my VW. He was close in the initial diagnosis and then only charged me for the work that needed to be done to put things back as found - even though he had to do some separate investigation and could have charged me for parts I didn't actually need. He actually suggested I not change the turbo ($2000) and look for other options for a new car. A++

These guys were great, we went in when our car started making an ominous low-pitched 'foghorn' type noise. I was thinking wheel bearings, but they found it was the air conditioner and assured us we could continue our journey safely (if a little hot)! They were even nice enough to not charge us!
