With two dead batteries to deal with, Scott took time, AFTER CLOSING, to help me out. Not only did he come charge both batteries, he drove one of the cars around to make sure it was good to go. After we realized that the battery was old and mostly gone, he installed a new battery (even though it was purchased elsewhere) without hesitation. Beyond great customer service AND on his own time. Between this and a great recommendation on my Honda about a little known extra warrantied item, he s shown he is a fantastic person to operate a small business in our community. He could ve charged me for numerous different items, but was earning a customer and showing he truly cares for people. Thanks, Scott!

Really appreciate the professionalism and general niceness of the staff. Sounds dorky but they're honest, explain what needs to be done and just want to make sure my car is safe to drive. 2013 Subaru Forester needed engine valve cover gasket replaced. Easy to schedule. Actual cost ended up $200 less than the estimate. Can't beat that. Oak Harbor Auto Repair is now my go-to maintenance shop.

Was out of town when a sensor broke in my truck. The owner took great care of us at a very responsible price. Also enjoyed our great conversation about the amazing Island of Whidbey. Thanks again and as much as I enjoyed your service I hope to never see ya again lol.

My AGM battery died. Scott and Roman did a thorough job of assessing, testing, and replacing the battery. Price was excellent!Scott is focusing on building trust with his customers. My interaction with Oak Harbor Auto Repair indicates it will be a welcome addition to the business community in this town.

I understand this is under New Ownership (Previously Martin's Auto Electric)!! Such a great experience with the new crew. Roman took great care of my car (HONDA CRV). I have only ever had the dealership work on my car, I appreciated his knowledge and felt comfortable having him work on my car. I am relatively new to the island but will continue to bring all our cars to Oak Harbor Auto Repair.

Roman took very good care of my Mini from diagnosis to repair, and had it done in less than the expected timeframe. I will be using Oak Harbor Auto for all my automotive needs and referring anyone I know that needs service. Great new addition to town, great guys.

Best auto mechanic in town! Martin s Auto has caught and fixed a mistake made by another mechanic in Oak Harbor for my vehicle. They are easy to schedule with, do excellent work, and are fairly priced.

I have loved working with Martin s here in Oak Harbor. When I moved back home my van needed some serious work (still does) and my parents suggested Martin s. I brought my van in for an oil change and diagnostics. They treated me so well and helped me figure out what would be the best plan in getting it running better. They were very accommodating and helpful. I have been back to them for more work as I ve needed it and the prices are fair and realistic. But what makes me love them the most is when I bring my messy dirty van in for an oil change and find that they have vacuumed the front seats. As a busy single mother of four this really makes my day! Thanks Martin s you are the best. I highly recommend them!Update 8/25/2020: I have been taking my car and also my mother's car to Martin's for almost three years now. And I have always appreciated how this place has taken care of me and my van. I recently took my van in because it had been making an awful sound and I was worried that I had reached the point I knew was coming. I thought it was going to officially be time for a new van (mine is old and not worth the amount of repairs it has needed since the day I bought it ten years ago.) I brought it in and they checked it over, changed the oil as planned, and found my problem. A bolt had wiggled loose near my wheel and was making the upsetting sound. It was a quick fix and Martin's didn't charge me for fixing it. I live on a dirt road so having something come loose has happened to me many times over the years. Martin's not only fixed this loose bolt, but they also fixed my window that had stopped working. The car sounded so much better and drove far better then I would have expected it to. I wouldn't be surprised if they had fixed a few other things as well. I was only charged for my usual oil change. This generous act of kindness is seriously why I will continue taking all my cars here. Martins is a good company, and they work hard to do right by their customers. I seriously don't understand why they don't have a higher rating. I would not take my car there. For one they dnt have a authorized mechanic working in your car. They have a guy that learned about cars off of yourtube and even the main owner witch was Steve has found searches on how to replace parts and was a little upset. So u should have a authorized mechanic standing by to check there work if there learning to work on cars, anyone can be a parts replacer and work on cars, but to be honest my dad is a retired 29 year mechanic and u just can't have anyone that says they know abiut cars working on others customers cars and i would not take my car there anymore if I was u, sorry to tell people this but it's the truth his name is Luis and he is from autozone in California and burlington as a person to look up parts not a mechanic 2 difft people if u ask me, good luck to thoes that are still going there since there isn't a real ASE certified mechanic there to check over his work

I first started using Martins' years ago, since Steve & Leah have been running it I never hesitate to refer anyone to them. They are very professional and fair if for some reason you have an issue they are reasonable, and they make things right or refer you to any shop. They are an asset to our community. Had my engine check light fixed and my actuators that control the flow of my heating system ie... Defrost and floor and middle heat. Works great now. If you have a automotive problem with electrical related issues I recommend you got them.

40.95 for labor alone on an oil change. I understand if that's your standard rate per hour, but you did not work on my car for an hour. If it takes you anywhere close to an hour to accomplish an oil change, you are so unbelievably incompetent at what you do I don't have words for it. Never coming back for any reason. That is a horrific price for the easiest maintenence procedure on a car. Staff were friendly, but nothing is going to make up for feeling like I just got bent over and r@ped by your absurd labor cost.

When I first spoke with the older woman at the desk I asked so meek and politely can you give me a quote before you charge me anything? And she said yes, we won t charge you anything because we aren t fixing anything, we are just going to look at it. Then I was relieved because all I had was exactly $80 to put to fixing my car at the time. So obviously not enough saved to fix it yet, I just needed Pros to look at it so I d know the issue. And she said it ll be a couple hours, about 2 hours then I get 0 call or update for 6 hours. Then I m told to pick up my car and when I go to the desk she says that ll be $80.50 . Then i told her that wasn t clear at all from the beginning, but i controlled those feelings of injustice and just meekly paid it and went off. And also they couldn t figure out the exact problem with my car. So It was all around a massive pain and a bad experience and there was straight up lying from the first conversation I had with the woman. The guys in the back seemed nice but I didn t hear much from them other than that they couldn t find out how to fix the problem, but they did fix my reverse camera which was a nice thing. And they did a clean job and did what they could. Don t get me wrong, I appreciate that. And maybe today was just a bad day or maybe the business is a bad business. This was my experience, there s no resentment against any of them. I just know I needed to share this, and I personally won t be going back there again. Thank you, and to the woman at the desk.. I don t hate you Lol. But that was wrong to not give me full clarity especially when my first conversation with you was about not charging me for something without telling me you were gonna charge me for it first. Before anything was done, I asked you that. To anyone else reading this, This is my honest experience, maybe you ll have a better one. Thank you for hearing my voice.Service: Electrical

Took my son's car there for a diagnostic to find out why 2 cylinders were misfiring.They had the car for 3 hours, the mechanic said it was a head gasket, when we asked if he checked the compression he said no. So they kept it over night to continue to check it.They kept the car until about mid-day when I drove by it was just sitting in the back, no phone call. So we called them and they said they couldn't figure out what was wrong and charged us 115 for no answers.We could have just left it at home and saved 115.

Called twice and was hung up on. 1st time, not a word said just heard the receiver pick up then slam. 2nd time what sounded like a woman, said hello. She kind of sounded agitated. I asked about alternator installs and without a word she hangs up again. Checked on the website to see if maybe they had a different number and just hadnt updated it on google yet but it was the same. Just going to go elsewhere, not dealing with them.

I found my experience at Martin's completely unprofessional. My came out of the shop in far worse shape than it was in before and I had to take it into two different shops (including the dealership) to fix what Martin's did. I will never use or recommend this shop.

Great place. Had a heater go out and wanted them to check belts and stuff. Got estimate next mourning and good to go next day. This was a motorhome so kinda limited to where we could go. Very friendly.

Took my car to the shop to have a noise checked. Charged me 190 bucks to tell me "yea there is a noise but we dont know what it is" sooo yea this place is a RIP off and now my car smells like cigarettes. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE save yourself a waste of time and money

Honestly there's some of the rudest people you'll ever have work on your vehicle I would never recommend Martin auto and electric LLC you're better off going to a big chain versus this small company

My husband went in to get an oil change and a man was sitting at a computer and got up and walked past him several times and never said a word to him. Finally he asked if Steve the owner was there and the guy said he was Steve. So my husband told him he was coming in for an oil change but now he would never be back. I hope that was a wake up call because that is not how you run a business.

They are awesome so far...it took a long time to find what's wrong with my moms car, and we still need to take it back to find the specific problem and they didn't charge for the time it's taking to search. That's amazing!
