So this place is an auto mechanic. It's somewhere you hope you will not have to visit. And if you do, it will cost far more than what you want to spend.They charge 125 an hour which is basically average and I'm not in a Position to evaluate their skill (which could be high). They had good communication and seemed reasonable.Would I Automatically come back here? No. Would I consider coming back here? Definitely. And that is my advice to you. There are several Auto mechanics in Oak Harbor. Call around and if you like what Jack's says, then come here. They did not overpromise and under deliver so you can make a fairly informed choice.

Jack's is the only place on island I trust with my truck. They're friendly and have always been great to me. Highly recommend! Any problem with the Ford, they get her purring again in no time! Professional, knowledgeable, and will never overcharge you for anything. Been going to the shop for around 3 years now, finally time I wrote a review!PS - the crew does a great job at storing and maintaining vehicle while I'm deployed!

Jack's Auto - with Jack and Josh and the whole team have once again provided perfect service for my 1992 S-10 and 2008 Toyota Sienna! Both vehicles had long-term electrical system issues and technician Mike with Shannon and all figured it out and did the exactly right-on repairs at a very fair price: Thanks Jack's Auto for 14-plus years of outstanding, worthy service (and you even laugh at my jokes)!!!

They found that my 2000 Lexus was too rusty to repair the park break. If they only want to work on new cars without rust or oil they should say that off front and don t charge 52$ for 10 minutes of deciding not to do the work.

Amazing work and customer service. Fair pricing and honest work. Shannon specifically did a fantastic job working with me on what I needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone tired of being ripped off by city franchise shops.

They diagnosed my car, gave me 2 options, 7000 for a new engine, or drive it until it blows up. I got a 2nd opinion, there's 4 codes that were given, and turns out it's an easy fix. I don't recommend this place to anyone. In fairness, they didn't charge for the so called vehicle diagnosis that was performed.

I shopped around quite a bit before deciding to take my vehicle to Jack's. An older gentleman I know who does all his own work on his beloved cars was going to take his daily driver into Jack's for a big job because it needed to go up on a lift and he informed me that Jack's had a stellar reputation here in Oak Harbor. I hopped on the phone and asked them for a rough quote on the job I needed done and they were noticeably more affordable than other people in the area.I wasn't even quite sure what part I needed because I was unsure if I had ABS because the car was new to me. They ordered both parts to make sure they had the correct one on hand and said they could just return the unused part for a refund. I know nothing about cars other than how to drive them and I feel comfortable taking my vehicle here without the fear that they will tack on unnecessary work.Thank you Jack's for taking car of my new car and getting it road worthy for a reasonable price with AMAZING service. Same day fix and extremely courteous on the phone. I will be back for all my mechanic needs!

Such nice/wonderful folks!!! Very accommodating, managed to find time to diagnose AND fix my rig even though they were booked solid today. Offered me a cost-effective and honest solution rather than gouging me, I'm road worthy again and at half the cost that was quoted by another company in Oak Harbor. I am very impressed with their service!

We were on Whidbey Island for a getaway between Christmas and New Years when our 2004 Lincoln Navigator decided to start acting up on the Friday before New Years weekend. Jacks got our truck in right away, gave us a reasonable time and estimate, and kept us informed the whole time. We were able to rent a car right down the street for a day and then got our car back on Saturday so we could go home on Sunday as planned, rather than be stranded on the Island or have to take out a weekly rental and return the following weekend. Not only that, but they came in under the price they quoted us! We were very happy with their professional, pleasant, and prompt service and would highly recommend them.

Honest and upfront from the get go. Priced a bit higher than a couple other places but service and treatment at Jacks was far superior! Josh saved me money as well by informing me of another repair they could do while they had my truck and avoiding another appt and more labor. They were recommended to me and now I see why. Very pleased! Thank you Jacks!

Told me I had too much air in my fuel lines from my air conditioner being messed up. I don t know anything about cars so I believed it but my car guy friends told me that it wasn t even possible since they re completely different systems. Paid $600ish for a part I didn t even need and my car still messed up 4 months later with the same issue. Turns out my fuel pump was faulty.Service: Air conditioning

My car broke down on a trip to Deception pass. The tow truck driver took us to Jack's. I was told they wouldn't be able to do anything until Monday. This being a Friday this was terrible news. We were from out of town and stranded. To make a long story short they took the time to fix my car and got us back on the road. Great honest people, good prices, cleanest bathroom and very much appreciated! Thank you to Jack and Ron Jr.! If I lived closer this would be the place to go for all my auto repair!

Seriously wish I could give them more stars. We have been on the island for almost 5 years and Jack's is the only place we'll go. They are so nice and understanding. They do an amazing job and are honest good people. Sadly we are heading back in because our suv broke down but we know Jack's will take great care of it.

Fantastic guys! Kind, honest and straight to the point. Even offered me a ride home when I dropped off my car! Told me to come back at 1000 miles so they can make sure my gasket properly sealed at no extra charge!!

Great service, fixes problems for reasonable cost. Time and cost estimates are accurate. Best repair experience I have had in Washington state (vastly better than various dealerships in this area).

I had a vehicle that was stalling and not throwing error codes. I brought it into Jack's who was very honest that without the stalling occuring for them to see or error codes the option was to throw parts at it hoping to fix it which they did not recommend. They did however take the time to review the characteristics of my stall referencing databases narrowing it down to a recall for an ECM relay on my Xterra. My dealership stated the relay was replaced on recall but I took Jack's advice to replace anyway and it solved the issue. I was impressed they took the time to discuss this with me even though they were not going to make any money off me. If I lived in the area I would definately be bringing my vehicle here. Service was professional; everyone I talked to was polite. There were extra, unexpected repairs to my car, and Jack invited me into the shop to show me the old parts and explained why they had to be replaced. There was nothing about the experience that I wish was different. I will definitely be back again.

Never coming back here again. The first time I came to these guys, I had a massive oil leak and needed help asap. They helped me out and I was satisfied with my care (the first time). Came back a second time to get my oil changed. They proceeded to tell me I had oil in my coolant. They told me it would cost $1700. It was obvious I didn't know much about cars because I was asking a lot of questions. They told me not to drive my car long distances and to be extremely careful. Just recently I had my friend's dad replace me radiator because I was leaking (cracked radiator). I asked about the oil in my coolant. He said I definitely have oil in there, but it's not from a leak from a blown had gasket. Someone HAD to have poured oil into my coolant tank. And it had to be the guys at Jack's auto repair. NEVER going back again.

I went here since it was close to my place, I expected normal things but they went well above what I hoped, they fixed my car when I took it in and found some other issues that they helped me get taken care of. They have great customer support and are a pleasure to go to, I'll definitely be making these guys my go to repair shop

Very pleased from the minute I walked in the office they were all professional even helped me get my vehicle back to my house very reasonable and friendly I mean it when I say I'm going to take my vehicles there from now on I've had quite a few bad experiences from other mechanics
