Was victim to the Kia boys but they were luckily unable to get the car out of the driveway. Took the car to John because we needed the car towed and he told us he could handle it and he was closest to our house. Huge mistake. He got the work done quick and it seems ok. We do now have to carry around two keys for the car. One for ignition and one for door/trunk. Not sure how that works but doesn t seem right. We had the car brought in Monday. He called me Tuesday asking for authorization to work because he couldn t get ahold of insurance. He hadn t noticed that the rear window was completely busted out..He called me Thursday telling me the car was ready. I couldn t pick up till the next morning. Friday morning I called to make sure he had submitted the claim to insurance. He told me he didn t know how so I could submit it to insurance and get it reimbursement. I told him that s not how it works. I then had to explain to him the process to submit to insurance (which was essentially emailing the estimate to the email address I provided him on day 1. Monday insurance told me our rental car coverage ended on Friday because the car was completed. My husband went and talked to John s wife in person and she said they deal with insurance all the time . We went on vacation (stressed out by the way). A week later my insurance adjuster said they had tried contacting John twice because they needed photos. He once again told me he didn t respond because he didn t take photos . Again on the original paperwork it stated pictures were needed. Did I mention that the quote I was originally given was almost $1000 less than the final bill? The adjuster talked to John and was thoroughly unimpressed with his lack of professionalism and understanding of the process. Luckily she was a blessing and got my payment approved through her supervisor which is not the norm without photos.I 110% would not work with John again even without the headache he created with insurance.

Overcharged on their diagnostic which only took 30 min, if even that. Did not notify what the cost was until after they did it. Charged $140 for a simple check up. Quoted $750 to put on a battery and alternator, way overpriced. Glad I did not take up this place as it seems they also have a reputation of overcharging on repairs and charging you after the fact. Bad business practice.

Staff are friendly and willing to explain everything in detail. Rates are reasonable. They are always willing to accommodate my need to be shuttled back to work while they work on my vehicle. My go-to shop in the area.Last service I had required brake replacement, which they estimated 3-4 days due to the availability of parts. The work was done the next day, much faster than estimated.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Brakes, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Great customer service, very prompt repairs, and reasonable pricing. What more can you ask for? I think I found my new go-to mechanic. A big thank you to John and the entire team!

Friendly staff. The appointment took 4 days; I called on Monday and got an appointment for Thursday. They did not provide a shuttle service, although they mention that on their website. When I checked in my vehicle at 8 AM on Thursday (7/21/22), the staff told me that shuttle service would be available at 8:30 AM. I decided to take a 2-mile walk home instead as my morning exercise. The staff (Eric) called me around 4 PM to let me know that my vehicle was ready for pickup, and they did not have a shuttle service. So, I had to walk 2 miles to the shop.Service: Engine repair

The owner and crew are always on point with meeting my expectations and excede my standard level of satisfaction. I leave happy and with a sense of peace. I can write this as a memory of a few visits over a number of years. Thank you.

From my 3 year experience, I felt falsely assured by John, the owner, only to end up with work done incorrectly to be redone too often. He gave poor warranties, more expensive parts that failed frequently, and his cavalier attitude. He may do right by some customers, but I think he sizes up others that he can get away with gouging. Not all the mechanics are experienced.Make sure you get your AAA discount, and if John refuses, complain to AAA. Verify the warranty and if it includes towing and if there are any additional charges you might have to pay, like shop supplies you never got, or incidental additional products used, because John doesn't like the losses he must pay for the costs of doing business. He really does like you though.

Make sure you get your vehicle estimate in writing. We were told one thing on the phone and once the bill came it was over $2000 higher than expected. They are very nice people, but either have poor communication skills or purposefully scam people. We felt used.

I am so shocked by the level of care from this company. My sister had her transmission blow and they gave her a great quote and timeline it would be fixed. I understand things come up that raise the quote but to not inform her of how much it was going up? Over 2000$!! And that was after they took off the work they said they completed but they never did!!Do not go here! They lie, add on things that they don't do to your bill, not keep there timeline. And to do this to a small family trying to make ends meet.. just down right dirty company!! Do not trust them!!!Service: Transmission

Where to begin. Automotive diagnostic center give you a free inspection of you vehicle. John and Kyle are probably two of the most honest people I have ever met. Integrity is just one of their core values. With my Ford Fiesta they change my timing belt and did some other stuff to it also. They ended up keeping my car a day longer. The first question I asked was how much for a rental. John let me know that they would be covering the rental charge. I informed him that I wouldn t be able to pick up my car for another two days, without hesitation John said they would also pay for the second day of my rental. I then took my wife car into the shop because we were smelling burnt oil. They discovered a leak and many other issues. We immediately decided to fix the issue. They also did a fantastic job fixing my wife vehicle. No extra fees or hidden expenses. We actually ended up paying less than originally estimated by almost $800. They have made life long regulars out of me and my wife. I hope you enjoy your experience too.

We were traveling back to our hometown and we got towed to automotive diagnostic. They were so helpful. They got to our vehicle right away and we re really straightforward about what needed fixed and even offered to let us borrow a car to go to the nearest place to grab lunch while we waited. They even had a little area for kids to read, and crayons and coloring books. This place was just what we needed when we were stranded. Thanks guys.

I've been bringing my car to this shop for 8+ years. John and his guys are always fair to me and willing to explain the details of my bill, the work that needs to be done, and why they're doing it (but you do need to ask, as they've been working on cars for a long time and can forget that laymen need a more simplified explanation). Whenever I've had a problem with their work (which is rare) John just tells me to bring it back in and they'll take care of it. For example, a year ago, when they changed my brakes, they forgot to put a pin back in one of my centric rear brakes. It was rubbing on the wheel continuously, even when not braking, causing it to wear unevenly. I called them, took it back in, and they changed out the worn brake pad (making sure to put the pin in) and didn't charge me a cent.Another time, I had to bring my car in a couple of different instances because we couldn't quite get the issue down. It was the cooling fan, but what was wrong was a mystery. The first fix didn't work, so it was a faulty part that they had to replace. The second instance I took it in, they only charged me for the part (what they had to pay for the part, no mark up) and didn't charge me for labor. They can be pricey, but they do good work and I trust John. Their prices are competitive to other quality shops in the area, and they don't charge nearly what the dealer would (don't always trust the dealer either, as I've had good and shoddy work from dealer shops). On my latest trip to AD, I had a tune up with belts and water pump replaced. I knew I had a passenger side grounding strap broken that needed replacing and I planned on doing it myself after I got my car back from them. Went under the car to do so after picking it up, and they had replaced it! It's not a very expensive part (~$25 from a MOPAR dealer) but just the fact that they noticed it, changed it, and didn't charge me for it, just further impresses me with them. There are bad ratings on here for AD and a few have a point, others are just being unrealistic. Use your best judgement when deciding where to go (don't just take my word for it, or anyone else's) and ask questions. If they're not willing to answer you, show you the old parts from YOUR car (not just spare worn parts they keep for show), not willing to guarantee their work, or just seem down right shady, find another shop. From my experience, John and his guys are one of the best options in this area. But, again, don't just take my word for it.

Dropped my car off to get a rear main seal replaced. They found that the clutch and flywheel needed replaced along with a seal and slave cylinder in the tranny. No problem I said. However when I went to pick up the car, AFTER THEY TEST DROVE IT, it was pulling to the either side very hard and there was a clunk in the steering. These problems were nonexsitent before I dropped it off. Brought it back for them to check it out and it still pulls hard to the left and still clunks. They recommended I bring it to Les Schwab to get it aligned. They said they were running out of time to fix it themselves because they were working a half day going into Memorial Day weekend. Google requires 1 star minimum. I give them no stars. The $3k+ that I spent would have gone further and with better quality at a different shop. Potentially even the dealership.

I was charged lots of money without being informed of the charges ahead of time, and their diagnosis was wrong. It was a total waste of time and money, rude service. Go anywhere else.

BIGGEST RIP OFF WASTE OF MONEY EVER.Worst place I've ever been to. Paid tons and tons of money for nothing. Beware he charges $140 for "an hour of inspection" and will get back to you saying he doesn't know what the problem is and that he "needs more time" which will be another $140. He inspected and never told us any idea of what the problem was.

Great group of knowledgeable people who get the work done on time and at quoted price. If something gets discovered they stop working and call you so you are able to talk about the discovery. Always polite and courteous.

Upset with the service preformed, spent hundreds for them to forget to completely put the car back together- resulting in it breaking down again. will not be coming back to a place with such little attention to detail

These guys can find & fix the issues that other shops scratch their heads (and drain you wallet) over - and I even come here for the little things - like oil changes for ALL my vehicles - BMW, Chevy SUV, and Freightliner motorhome!
