Good service! Very responsive after servicing. There was an odor coming from the engine block... probably a bit of some lubricant. Brought my Forrester back in and they got it solved right away. Fair price. Referred my son as well.

I feel really fortunate to have met the folks at Rainier Automotive. I have a JDM 1994 Toyota Hiace, and it's been a challenging and frustrating experience finding reliable, trustworthy and creative people to help me work on this classic rhd microbus. Jim, John, Zack, Waymon and Becky have consistently gone above and beyond my expectations, and always are confident, positive and even enthusiastic about working on my van. They've invented creative solutions to failing heater lines (photo attached), sourced hard to find parts, willingly used parts I've sourced from overseas, and referred me to other excellent shops for work they don't do (like Bucky's Muffler Shop!). If you live in the Maple Valley area don't hesitate to give Rainier Automotive a try. You'll be very pleased with their communication, timeliness, honesty, quality of work and prices. I'm willing to bet you'll commit to them for all your automotive needs. I have.

Incredible! This is the best auto repair shop Ive ever worked with! They are extremely professional, highly trained/skilled, very affordable, timely, and are just nice folks. I mean, they communicate so well that I thought I was being punked /pranked first couple times I was called about updates. It s nice to know in the future I can call Rainier Automotive & they will take care of me.Try them you ll see!-Eric H.

Deena and Jim when above and beyond to work with my third party warranty to cover as much of my repair as possible. The report provided by the technician that was diagnosing and inspecting my vehicle was thorough and detailed. I refuse to take my vehicle into any other mechanic in the greater maple valley/black diamond area. Vehicle: Subaru Outback (05-07) 2.4i

Being in the Automotive Industry myself I can really appreciate GREAT customer Service. Rainier Automotive always goes above and beyond. Very friendly, even remember repeat customers, that says a lot. I trust no other shop with my Wrangler bottom line. Continued repeat customer!

Updated review: Phenomenal service!!! Multiple warning lights appeared on my dashboard. They got me in same day and solved the problem.Previous review: Easy experience! Great communication. Finished on time. No hidden charges. They did a B service on my Honda Odyssey and they went over some recommendations based on my mileage - I approved most of them. The issue with my car was difficult to diagnose and ultimately meant it needed to go to the dealer. Despite spending several hours trying to figure out the issue they only charged me for one hour of labor since they were not able to find the root cause.I would not hesitate to bring my car back (or any car) here.

I bought a used 4Runner w/ about 200k miles on it and they have done the work to ensure it s running as it should. They replaced my CV axle shaft, fixed an oil leak, and diagnosed some other issues w/ the vehicle. Fair prices and they were able to turn my vehicle around quickly in order to get me on the road. I ve spent a month driving around the west coast and then some and have had no issues. Rainier has been a great shop to work with! They are communicative and organized. The cost breakdown is clear. I ve been able to schedule service next day and weeks out with no problem. If I have an issue, they ve made it right. In my case the technician didn t get a trim screw tight enough in the dash and they got me right in and fixed it.Services: Electrical repair, Air & cabin filter replacement, Body & Trim, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Fast and thorough service. Rainier is always friendly and accommodating. I needed my car back by a certain time and they gave me a loner car just in case my car wasn't ready. My car was ready with time to spare. I really appreciate the excellent service. I also appreciate that they always provide a report of what parts were inspected and which may need service in the near future. It really helps with planning and budgeting. Wife's 19 glc300 had a vibration at startup. Rainier Auto did a great job finding the busted motor mount and replacing. Thing runs smoother than when we bought it in Hawaii. Thank you again Rainier Auto.

I was very happy with them. I took my son's Mini there to diagnose a check engine code and it ended up being the thermostat housing. They replaced it and were responsive during the process. I will be bringing my other cars to them in the future.

I was down to 1 working headlight and was nervous that the remaining light was due to fail soon. They were able to fit me in to their very busy schedule so that I could drive at night and not worry about my headlights. They were great. Even let me bring in the replacement headlights from another vendor.

I have used Rainier Automotive for my personal vehicle and my work vehicle. They have been able to get me in within 3-5 days or so each time and are always professional from start to finish. Especially where my work vehicle is concerned, they could easily tack on unnecessary repairs since my company has deep pockets but they are very honest and have never had an issue where I felt like they were trying to run my bill up. They have done a great job of keeping me posted as to the progress of repairs and estimates. I appreciate these folks very much. Mistakes happen and unfortunately 2 years ago, Rainer installed something impropriety on our vehicle. However, when we realized it and brought it to their attention nearly 2 years later after Les Schwab pointed it out, they didn t hesitate to make it right and fix the issue. It may seem weird to leave a 5 star review, however we recognize that people and businesses are not perfect, but it s how they respond to their failure that really sets them apart. Thanks again Rainer for owning up to the mistake and making it right! We greatly appreciate the honesty and transparently you demonstrated. Nowadays, not many companies respond in the humble and honest way you did!

We've been customers of Rainier Automotive for five years. Rainier has taken excellent care of our mid-size SUV, and we appreciate their competence and honesty. Their service guide according to mileage is very helpful. Nothing is mandated -- it's actually an outline of services to discuss, and most of the recommendations are put on hold until we meet the mileage target. If I'm not going to do a repair or maintenance on one of my cars myself, then I bring the car to Rainier. Straight up shop with no upselling. They are ALWAYS busy and have cars lined up for days, so if you're sitting on hold and/or you don't get a call right away, you know the reason. They aren't the only mechanics shop around, but are always busy, that should tell you something. I've been going to them since I moved to the area and glad I found them to take care of my vehicles.Services: Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

Great admins that work at the shop. I came in for a manifold donut gasket replacement. Though it was very straight forward, I did learn a few things and had a great conversation. Great customer service and quality employees. Very satisfied with the service.
