Misrepresented and didn t deliver:I would caution against using this shop. The owner sells his skill level/knowledge of mechanics as much more advanced than it actually is.His mechanic, Jeremy is an incredibly sweet person, but is also severely limited in his skill set.I personally trusted them far more than I knew I should have and it ended up costing me upwards of $10,000 in wasted parts and services.I asked him not once but at two different times in my dealings with him if it was wise to cut my losses and replace the engine. Both times he convinced me to continue restoring it and ultimately recommended that I allow him to entirely rebuild my engine .against my better judgement I proceeded .Only to have him tell me in the end that the block was cracked and I was going to need a new engine He returned my vehicle totally disassembled, covered in grease, buckets of parts strewn about the cabin and still needing a $10,000 new engine. Then gave me his final bill.I eventually took my rig to a licensed, competent shop. There I was informed that any knowledgeable mechanic would have tested the block to evaluate for cracks prior to proceeding with the expensive rebuild.** had posed this question to Jay before I allowed him to start.I asked him if there was a way to be sure the block wasn t cracked before proceeding. He was very reassuring. He stated that the rebuild would give me a brand new engine that it would be the same outcome as purchasing a new engine and that this was the way to go.So I trusted him.Another incident, he had me come to his shop and get my starter to take to Kent to have it rebuilt. I then had to go back and pick up the part in Kent and bring it back to Jay for installation.Jay then called me and stated there was an issue on installation and that it had arced out when installing . He informed me that I would have to return to his shop pick up the part and bring it back to the rebuilder in Kent. When I did this, the rebuilder tested the starter, told me it was fine and gave me proper instruction on the correct way to install it. I then had to return the part to Jay and share the information on how to properly install a starter. There was never any acknowledgement, ownership or consideration for this mishap.Personally, I would highly encourage you to look elsewhere. Good mechanics are very hard to find.I know this frustration.Save yourself time and monies and try to find a highly rated, trusted and licensed shop.

I have had Jay work on a number of cars. He can do good work, but he s a busy guy and doesn t particularly care about his customers or their schedules. I dropped by his shop to ask if he had time this week to look at my daughters air conditioning system. He said to bring it back the next day. I did that, he said it needed a part and sent me to the store to pick it up and pay for it there. I did that. He said I would have it back by mid afternoon the next day. I called the next day to check on progress. He said he was out of coolant and didn t have time to get it himself. I went to multiple stores that afternoon and found none in the stores because washington state won t sell to consumers anymore only to certified air conditioner specialists. Apparently he is not certified. He fails to mention that when I asked him to work on it. So I scrounged up some bottles my family had around. I dropped it off at his shop that night and asked if he worked Saturdays. Not usually he said but had someone there that could do the work. The next day I asked if the car was done by text he said it was and I headed over to pick it up. After I paid him in cash he told me I was rude because I actually went to his business instead of waiting for a call back I guess. Told me he liked to skinny dipping in his hot tub and that he didn t like that I just stopped by. Then he asked me to never come back again. Told me to lose his number and called me arrogant when I said I would. I was nothing but polite even when he yelled at me in front of my daughter. Like I said he does good work but I guess try not to catch him on a bad day. Also be prepared to run to get parts if you want the work done in a timely manner.Services: Steering & suspension repair, A/C installation & repair

Jay is one of the most professional timely people that I've had the pleasure of working with in the automotive industry they took care of me and helped me with my wiring harness and even did a valve positioning job. I was super excited to meet him and his assistant as well as work alongside them they were amazing and helped me with any questions and concerns that I had with my restoration project!

I messaged this guy 4 days ago and got a response. He ignored me until today. Today we setup a time to meet where my car is located. He no showed, wouldn't respond to my text or calls. I told him I was getting a ride there, messed my morning and my ride's morning. Waste of time!
