The guys at AE of MV are one miracle closer to sainthood. I've taken my '94 JDM Toyota Hiace to several different local shops and nobody wanted to deal with its electrical issue until I found these creative, crafty and knowledgeable guys at this tidy and well run shop. I had a short in a headlight junction that prevented my low-beams from operating. Unfortunately, after a global search - including auto shops in Japan - we were dismayed the wiring diagrams for this model Hiace were unavailable. AE's team tracked down the short, and then devised an affordable solution to prevent needing to purchase an entirely new junction (>$500!). The guys at AE are friendly, resourceful, organized, excellent communicators, patient and funny. Their tenacity and creativity led to an affordable solution, and I'm thrilled to have my low-beams returned. To me, this was a minor miracle. If you're looking for a shop to take excellent care of you and solve interesting problems, or simply to do straightforward maintenance, these are THE guys in the Maple Valley area. I'd give a sixth star if I could.

I've had very good service from this shop on a variety of car makes and years. The work has been from "simple maintenance" issues to "engine replacements", tire replacements, electronic issues, trouble shooting and diagnostics. The shop is well equipped and personnel are skilled at accomplishing repair and maintenance of vehicles. I'm glad to recommend them.

Zach and the crew here are amazing people. They treat you like family and you can tell they just want to help you out. Car trouble sucks, but they made it as painless as possible. 100% recommend this shop without hesitation. I owe y'all a beer or two.

The guys are really quick with inspecting my breaks and are were willing to repair them as soon as possible. Prices are excellent. I will definitely come back to these guys

So far so good, the car they have had been a disaster from day one so I'm not holding out much hope for it to be fixed. 10/25/23 review addition.. so this will hopefully be a warranty issue but it has been waiting to be towed to Lynnwood where the original repair was done. I paid the bill but it didn't leave me enough for the tow. I had a few people who said they will help and haven't yet. These poor guys are probably sick of seeing my car in the parking lot. Thank you for putting up with me you guys are top notch! I promise it will be out of there soon.

I m so happy I reached out to this shop. Josh helped me greatly and saved me a lot of $ just by checking out a couple things and assuring me he couldn t see anything wrong and to keep an eye on it.Four months ago I d had work done on same car and when I called that same shop for current POSSIBLE problem and was told it would cost me at least an hour (144.00) to hoist it up and check it. They weren t exactly warm and fuzzy when I had work done before. Not friendly or polite, very short w me, all business, and difficult to contact. Still much of same.I like honesty and people who care about their customers. Thank you Josh & co!

Continues to be my go to for vehicle service. Fair prices, haven't had a single quality issue, and they even helped me out with some of my pre bought stuff I couldn't use after hurting my arm. Good people providing a solid service. Recommend to all.

We came in to ask for help on a small, random issue with our bike and Zac met us with a smile and helped us right away. He was beyond kind and generous!! And made me laugh. Haven t received kind help like that in a long while! The space is also clean and multiple people checked to make sure we were getting what we needed while we waited. Great spot and great people - very trustworthy place!! Thank you so much again, Zac! You saved our day!

Whoever is answering the phone right now is a liar.I had called to get a quote on a part + labor, gave the part number that I was given by the dealership I bought the car at, and the part cost I was given was about $20 less than price on Amazon. I was also told that they would install a part if I brought it in, and that it would be covered by warranty. So it made more sense to have them order the part and install it, rather than waiting for it to ship to me and then bring it in myself.Come today when the work is done, and the actual cost of the part was more than triple what I was quoted, and I was told that they wouldn't have used a provided part for warranty reasons. They didn't do an oil change either, which I had specifically requested also be done. The only reason I went here is because the quote I was given was less than buying the part myself.

Very professional and kind. I called multiple places and they were the only ones able to fit me in the day of after I explained what was wrong with my car. They were transparent and told me the price of diagnostics over the phone, and it ended up being even less than what they had said! It ended up being a bad battery that I had gotten only a year ago that wasn't working, and instead of trying to manipulate me into spending more money and buying and getting it installed there, they gave me great recommendations as to how to go back to where I purchased my current battery and exchange it as it should still be under warranty. Best car shop experience I have had. Would highly recommend.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Battery

They have been managing service and various repairs on my Honda Odyssey, Ford Transit, and Mini Cooper. Overall been doing a great job with no complaints at all. Great with a local shop to me that does great work. This is the best-run shop I've ever worked with. They are honest, and really want what's best for their customers. They are skilled and resourceful troubleshooters--they don't just throw new parts at a problem (which would be expensive for the customer).I dropped my hybrid off to have an electrical issue fixed, and even though I thought the issue was with a cooling pump, the owner recommended that I have them perform a diagnostic first, just to be safe. In the end, they determined my issue would need to be fixed by the dealership due to the specifics of the hybrid system, but they didn't charge me a dime for the diagnostic. Besides that, they could have easily replaced the pump and charged me for something that wouldn't have fixed my issue, but they did the due diligence to make sure I didn't waste my money.During the same visit, they also diagnosed a separate issue with my fuel system and determined that it was low-priority and not worth fixing at this point. Again, they could have let me spend money on something unnecessary, but they didn't, and they also didn't charge me for diagnosing the issue.Automotive Experts is definitely my first choice for anything auto-related.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Battery and Alternator went out same time. Justine replaced them both, a few months latter due to bad parts they went out again. Justine not only replaced them again but did the work free of charge. Now how many shops you know today will do that ? Great shop great service , fair prices. This is my shop from now on.

Exceptionally run business.I've had Alan service my vehicle on 3 occasions, each time it's the same process.I call in to set up an appointment, he gives me a date 2-4 business days out and asks me to have the vehicle there around 8am. That day, I drop off the car at 8am, then around 9am I get a call with a diagnosis, a price and a timeframe for how long it will take (so far been either same or next day).From there, the work is completed on time and either at or below the quoted price.Speaking of price, I'm no car expert, but I've been pleasantly surprised. When I had a radiator leak and the whole radiator needed to be replace, I did not think I was getting out for less than $1,000, but it ended up being something like $600 for diagnosis, repair labor and parts.Services: Engine repair, Auto maintenance

This place is awesome. This was my first time being there. Justin the manager found a way to get my car in for an oil change and tire rotation the same day. Very knowledgeable, friendly and awesome customer service. Cost less then going to a dealership. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

In an industry known for ripping people off, these guys have integrity. Let me tell you 2 stories.The first time I walked in to this shop I told them to replace the front and back brakes on my car. I had been told by another shop that they were all worn down. I got a call from them the next day telling me the back brakes were fine. They replaced the front brakes but wanted to check with me before replacing something that didn't need it. That's right. They turned down work I had told them to do in order to save me money.Just this weekend I dropped off my wife's car because it was making an awful squeaking sound. I'm aware this is typically because of loose belts and that it isn't that hard to fix, but I don't want to mess with it. They fixed it at no charge. Let me say that again: an automotive repair shop did work on a car and charged me nothing. Not even 30 minutes of labor. Nothing.Go in and ask Allan to take a look at your car. Good news or bad news, at least you know he's not lying to you.

There is a story behind this 5 star review. My wife tried out Automotive Experts of Maple Valley because it was closer than any of the dealerships in this area. We went to them for a fluid check, and brake replacement. Had our differential fluid filled, rear brakes and rotors replaced. After we got the car back the bolts unthreaded on the rear calipers. We called them immediately. They didn't fuss, they didn't deny. They apologized and went out of their way to collect the vehicle at their expense. Bring it back to the shop and not only fix the areas we'd asked them to repair, but replaced our front rotors and brakes free of charge because the tech redoing the work noticed a little shimmy in the handling of the vehicle.Our car runs better than it ever has. Rattles we just assumed were part of the vehicle are gone now. This place gets 5 stars from me for the way they took responsibility and immediately took action to not only correct the repairs we'd asked them, but to go beyond and fix things as a courtesy that they didn't need to touch. That speaks to the character of the techs and the owner. That type of customer service reflects on the leadership and doctrine that is behind the business. We'll be back. If you're in the Maple Valley area this place is worth looking into.

Too expensive! Called and was just quoted 89 dollars for an oil change on a 2020 honda civic from a female receptionist. Found much cheaper down the street instead.

Made an appointment months ago for my tundra, just for a transmission flush. This am woke up to the ice storm, so had to scrape and dethaw the truck to get it down there. show up, just to have the guy tell me none of his techs showed up. Could have called me to give me a heads up.

This place is honest, good to there word, and go above and beyond for your service and expectations. Dropped my Jeep off for the U-joints to be done and to get it checked for other work. They called me same day, letting me know of cost, and what else I needed done. I approved. Unfortunately, someone broke in and stole the wheels and tires off of my Jeep! The repair took another week, but they went above my expectations by replacing my wheels and tires with what I had, and covered the cost of the repair, I did not expect all of that from them. Just picked up my Jeep and sure enough, still costed me nothing. I would recommend this place to anyone based off of my service!

The owner is outstanding! A very popular place because of the awesome service and quality of work. Even though its busy the owner makes time for you and listens with his undivided attention. Did special work changing my transmission fluid due my enclosed system. I called later that week because my check engine light started blinking. He said bring it in let's see what's going on...I brought my car in and he ran diagnostics on it. It showed my car was misfiring. So he could have easily said we will have to work on instead he was very honest and said I dont notice a misfire but keep an eye on it and let me know if the engine light stays on. Another mechanic could easily have had me spending hundreds on a job...

I feel pretty discouraged as I have done a decent amount of business with Automotive Experts of Maple Valley in the past. A week ago I called as I had spent a lot of money to get my vehicle repaired here back in April of 2020. When I called them last week it was because my car was having the same problem. It s been less than a year and a half so it still should have been under warranty which states 24 months on my paperwork. I see they have revised their warranty time frame a few months after I had work done on my car. I believe it is now just a twelve month warranty. When I had my car fixed in April of 2020 it came with a two year warranty. When I called to try to get my car in last week about the same problem I was told they were short handed and they couldn t get my car in until this week, which put me in a bad position as I had to take it elsewhere and spend another costly amount to have it fixed again. It seems anymore a lot of businesses use the covid excuse for delays and I do understand people do get sick, but at the same time I spent a lot of money here on this issue and feel pretty agonized that I just had to spend another costly amount taking my car elsewhere as I had the impression they were too short handed to honor the work done 15 months ago that was still under warranty. When I called last week it sounded as if they already had too many other jobs to take care of and it seemed unpredictable as to when they could get my car fixed.

My experience at Automotive Experts was great! We had our GMC Acadia towed down to there shop to have them figure out why we had a few warning lights on. It was dropped off on a Tuesday morning and by that afternoon we received a call letting us know that our battery was 100% dead and not coming back lol. They asked If we were ok with purchasing a new one so they could install it and further diagnose any issues. We agreed and they went back to work. Less than an hour later they called again and explained that a vacuum port had worked itself loose, automatically turning on the check engine light and turning off the "stabili-trac". (Which were the exact two warning lights that were on). They re-connected it, test drove it and decided that was it... We were told e could come pick it up that same day and that there would be no charge except for the battery.So in summary they are Quick, efficient, honest, transparent and truly there to help you get you vehicle fixed! If you need some work done I 100% suggest visiting Automotive Experts!

Often its hard to trust auto repair shops. And even harder to get the work done in a timely, complete and successful way. I went to see Automotive Experts of Maple Valley based upon other reviews I had read. I was impressed with the patience and focus of the owner to both understand and answer my questions. He answered every question I had on a variety of automotive issues. Very up front with the estimate and made for an enjoyable experience. I will return for more work and highly recommend their service.

Most honest and straightforward shop I've ever worked with. Exceptional service! The owner runs it with integrity. They never "upsell" you, they just give you an honest assessment, provide options and let you decide. I highly recommend this garage.

I had some work done on my Fusion, days before a transcontinental trip. After my journey began, there were problems related to the repair. Despite that, the guys from Automotive Experts were 100% helpful in working with another repair facility to get my car back up and running again. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable repair and post repair support.
