Friendly, honest, professional and effective for all my auto repair needs. K.C Martin is my go-to for all my auto repairs that I can't, or don't want to do myself. I am a Do-it-Yourself kind of person, but I take my big problems to K.C Martins. They always come through. Recently, my Ford F150 Truck was shuddering when turning while pulling my travel trailer. I took it in and got in the same day. They found the Differential fluid needed changing only and that fixed the problem. They also noticed that my brake fluid was way bad and recommended I change it as well. I agreed as I had noticed it more difficult to stop lately. Picked up my truck the next day, no more shudder and brakes are so much better, I didn't realize how bad they were! The team at K.C. Martins are the best and I trust them with all my auto work on my F150 and my wife's Hyundai. They never disappoint.

1st class - good old customer service and car care. I've been bringing vehicles for my family and businesses here for over twenty years. They once replaced a headlamp without cost to me because it took less time for the technician to do it than the company's minimum charge. When I need to be sure the diagnosis is accurate and the work will be complete its' got KC Martin's name on it - Thanks for taking care of us Derek. You've been a good neighbor.

When our family suffered a death in the family, KC Martin worked hard to get my car ready in time to get us to a funeral out of state. They were kind, compassionate, and they went above and beyond to fix my vehicle in time for our unplanned departure. Thanks to their team for dealing with my emotions and fixing my vehicle in time and under budget. I highly recommend them.

I am so glad to have found this shop. They did a great job on my vehicle and it is driving great now. After having all of my brakes, rotors, front left axel and both lower control arms replaced, the vehicle is driving much better than it was before. After deciding to remove my car from a shop because I almost got taken to the cleaners for loads of unnecessary work, this shop not only found terrible safety issues with the car the previous shop did not, but also did not recommend any of the other extra and unneeded work like the previous shop. I will definitely be using this shop again.

We had been a customer of a quick oil change place for many years. The last time we took our car in, was the last straw. We no longer trust them and were looking for a mechanic to do an oil change. We called KC Martin and Terance was polite and professional. He said we could bring the car in the next day which was surprising they could do it so soon.We waited in their comfortable lobby that didn't smell like tires or gasoline. The tv wasn't blaring with some sports show full blast, but instead it was quiet, clean and it looked like they had tea but we had brought our own drink. They had WIFI so we could work while we waited. The restroom was just down the hallway and was also very clean and well maintained. They ended up charging us less than the quick lube place and again, we were pleasantly surprised! My parents used to come to KC for all their car issues when I was a child so there is longevity with this business. They also said they would check our fluids between oil changes which was a service we were getting from our previous place of business. We are happy to be their new customers and feel secure knowing they will take care of us.Thank you to Ryan, Derek and Terance, keep up the good work!

My dad was best friend s with the owner of KC Martin Transmissions since high school. Both businesses always give 100% to customers and have always provide a fair service for a fair market price.I have a 63 Nova that was having a lot of problems, and after multiple visits, the team was able to work through and diagnose a bunch of small issues with the front end. Through their patience, they were able to get the front end aligned so now it s driving beautifully. It s rare to find people with experience on old car suspensions and geometry. Shoutout to the team for always providing honest work!

We had a 2000 Mustang GT with the ABS light on. We took our car to KC Martin for diagnosis. They had our car for about a week. I finally got a call and was told that the problem was the main computer. They also mentioned some other things they found and I okayed the repairs. About two weeks later I got a call that the car was ready. They had to send the computer for reprogramming. The bill was about $3000. I asked them to leave the key in the car so I could pick it up after hours. I was told they couldn t do that. So I had to drive there on my lunch to get the key so I could pick it up later. I went back later that night to pick up the car and as soon as I turned the key on the ABS light came on and stayed on. I was pretty frustrated. I left the car and got my wife to drive me back home. When I deposited the key in the envelope, I left a message that the car was still not fixed and I was frustrated. By 1 o clock the next day I still hadn t heard from them so I called. They had the car a few more days and then finally determined that it was still the computer. They said they could send it back to have it re-programmed. At that point we needed two cars , so I continued to drive it with the ABS light on. Also, when I picked up the car, it was absolutely filthy. Bird droppings all over it and all over the convertible top A layer of dust and dirt on the top surfaces.Last month we traded that car in on a new vehicle for my wife. I went back a couple days later and spoke to the mechanics for the dealership. The problem with the ABS light? The right rear sensor was bad - about a $300 repair. I paid $3000 and the problem with the car wasn t fixed by KC Martin. They clearly didn t do proper diagnosis and charged me for their incompetence. If they were the only auto repair shop in western Washington, I would drive to Spokane. Do not use this place.Service: General repairs & maintenance

We were looking for a local automotive shop to take our vehicles other than an auto dealer. So glad we found KC Martin Auto Services. Very knowledgeable and professional group. They did a courtesy inspection of my breaks after they ve already done the work on it a few months before. Others would charge you just for bringing it to their shop.

Great service but appointments are booked out about a month and they tend to be more expensive than other automotive places.

If asked, they will offer advise on whether or not it's worth the cost to repair it. These people do solid work and keep the customers' in mind. They have worked on my vehicle several times and I'm always satisfied with the repairs. They warranty a lot of their work and are very honest and integral about the work they owe you under warranty. 10 out of 10 I highly recommend KC Martin as a mechanic.

My car broke down on 405 at midnight. I had it towed to KC Martin and dropped the keys in the overnight drop-box. They were super busy but managed to get me back on the road with a new alternator less than a day and a half after I dropped the car off. Paid a fair and reasonable price as well.

The left indicator was out on my Jeep, so I looked up the price to change it out and it was a crazy amount the dealer wanted -- just to change out a light bulb! My husband recommended K.C. Martin and I'm in awe. Not only was Derek's work TOP notch and fast... it didn't break our budget. I'm not just telling you guys... I'M TELLING EVERYONE! Thank you, Derek, and thank you K.C. Martin!Service: General repairs & maintenance

It s a scam! Not recommended. I got my engine valve replaced here months ago. They broke my oil stick and didn t even tight screws. The check engine light came up recently, I took my car to another auto shop. The mechanic asked me if someone had worked with my engine before and told me it was obviously that the gasket was not assembled in a professional manner.Updates: Seems the owner did a great job replying reviews and finding excuses.Service: Engine repair

My car made a noise that sounded like a transmission going bad. After my mechanic claimed it was the transmission, which KC Martin had rebuilt 3-years earlier, one of their technicians immediately identified the cause, uneven tire wear. Rotating the tire eliminated the problem. The best part of this is that KC Martin didn't charge me for their diagnosis. This is one class act.Service: Transmission replacement

These folks helped us in an urgent situation. We are from out of town and had a sick cat getting treatment. They were able to get our truck repaired (fortunately it was an easy repair) and we were back on the road within a few hours. Very grateful they agreed to check out the truck the same day. God Bless their us with knowledgeable mechanics.

Always the best! I drive more than 50 miles and take a ferry to have them service my vehicle. I've tried others, but I don't feel confident that the work I requested was done. Thank you K.C. Martin!

I am 80 years old this year. I have only been dealing with KCM, both engine and transmission work, since 1972. That s 50 of those 80 years. In all that time I have never been disappointed by any of their work or in any encounter with their personnel. On a scale of one to ten, I would have to give them an eleven. I have recommended them to many people and have never heard any negative feedback from anyone. Honesty and integrity appear to be their mode of operation.Services: Auto brake repair, Auto maintenance

I have been taking cars to KC Martin Automotive for about 20 years now. I ve had many bad experiences with garages in the past, and knew I did not want to take my car to a dealership. So somebody recommended KC Martin to me. And I have never been disappointed. They do excellent work, and they never tell me I need something done when I do not. Their staff is very very friendly, and they give excellent customer service. The last car I had was a Subaru legacy That I drove to work and back every day to the tune of 100 miles per day, and I got 550,000 miles on that car before I traded it in. It was still going strong. Some of the people that have given me excellent customer service over the years have been John, Derek, and more recently Tonya and Marisa. Also Moishe. I will never take my cars anyplace else.

KC Martin was my go-to place for years. Sadly, there's been a change of management and staff, which leads me to my latest and last visit with them. Yesterday, I was supposed to pick up my repaired vehicle after-hours. The manager assured me that he would leave my keys under the floor mat. I got a ride to the shop, opened the door with my extra key, and found no keys under the mat. In addition, the passenger-side window was halfway open. Anyone could have entered the vehicle when it was unattended. And to top it off, my credit card was never run through when I called the previous day to settle up my bill. I can only imagine my card number lying on a desk exposed for any one to see. This was the last straw. After putting up with recent visits leading to no resolution of my vehicle's coolant issue, plus suggestions of unnecessary and expensive work that "needed" to be done, I've had enough. I don't want to enrich KC Martin any longer with my hard-earned money. Goodbye, boys.Service: General repairs & maintenance

We have used KC Martin to service our work vehicles for probably 15 years. We took a Dodge Work truck in due to a transmission issue (not going into gear and shutting off), back in March of 2019. As we suspected, it was diagnosed as needing a transmission rebuild. The transmission was rebuilt and everything was good. Fast forward 2 and a half years and 10,000 miles and the same symptoms started to show up again (though not as serious). We took it back in and we were told there was not much that could be done until the symptoms worsened, which was no big deal, we get that its hard to diagnose a problem that only happens occasionally. 3 months later (Dec 2021), the truck started to act up really bad (same symptoms), so we took it back in and we were in essence told, the rebuild is out of warranty and there was nothing that they could do, except (most likely) rebuilding the transmission again. We paid around $2500 for the transmission rebuild and I think anyone would expect to get more than 2.5 years out of a professionally rebuilt transmission.I guess this can happen, cars are not perfect, nor are repairs an exact science, but again, 2.5 years out of a rebuilt transmission isn't great.Overall, this was a pretty disappointing way to end, what has been a good relationship, in maintaining our vehicles.Service: Transmission

KC Martin was recommended to me by a friend of mine. I've taken my truck to them twice now (differential and brakes) and have had an outstanding experience with them both times. They are wholly transparent, timely, and seem to be very skilled at what they do. I've had bad experiences with auto repair shops in the past but KC Martin, in my opinion, has set a new benchmark for how a customer should be treated. They will be my first choice for any future work that may be needed and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a shop that truly does honest work for an honest price.

After moving here, we were concerned about finding an honest repair shop. K.C. Martin Automotive is not only honest, but the employees are friendly and very helpful. We recommend them to all our friends and know we are being dealt with fairly. Not only that, but when a warning light suddenly came on in one of our vehicles and we didn't have an appointment, they came outside, checked out what was happening and told us it was not an emergency and we could make an appointment within a week. Honest AND helpful! A great combination!

I called KC automotive in hopes I could find a good deal close to my house, and I got exactly that. After having a tow from my workplace in Redmond, they diagnosed my vehicle and gave me an accurate time of completion the next day. They followed through with the expected service time (and from a person who normally does her own work, I was very impressed with how fast it came out) and the price for parts and labor were very fair. Work was done well too; it's as if I was the one fixing my truck myself! Front office people are professional and nice, but also are fun to joke around with. I've had bad experiences with a lot of places (hence why I do my own work) but I did not have anything bad to say after leaving the lot. I will definitely be coming back again, for things even as simple as an oil change. If I could leave 10 stars I would.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Oil change

K.C. Martin Automotive is a customer of ours so I was happy to have them look at battery issue with one of our FASTSIGNS vans. The service was great and I'll use them for my personal vehicle going forward.

I asked that I need to repair the car. I was told that first I need to make a diagnosis that costs $ 150. And by the RESULT of the diagnostics, it will be known what needs to be repaired and how much it will cost. I was signed up for June 9 at 8:00. I arrived on time, they said after 12:00 the bus could be picked up. They gave me the car at 16:00, while saying that they had fixed it. I stopped by at about 14:00 to ask why it took so long, to which I was told that the turn and my car was next. Returning home, I noticed that the problem remained. I came again and said that the problem was not solved. In response, I was told I needed to do diagnostics again and it would cost $ 174.Why do you have to pay a second time to do the same? It is indicated that they give a guarantee for their work for 24 months or 24,000 miles, so I repeat for what should I pay again? And why make a record with the indication of the time if no one observes it.07/06/21 Today, under my review, the owner left a comment. Therefore, I decided to supplement my review. Not actually responding to my review, while accusing me of not paying. Although in his comment he himself indicated that I provided a voucher for payment of services. Before I took my car to them, I visited them twice. The first time when I was, I said that the payment would be a voucher and I needed to know the amount for which a voucher should be issued, the second time I came with a voucher and showed it and they signed me up for diagnostics. I had to wait three weeks.Regarding the "free" correction you made:1. An employee who called me about the fact that I can pick up the car, said that this is included in the cost of diagnostics, and the owner writes that it was made free of charge, figure out who is lying yourself.2 After your "free adjustment" my car started to start worse, and when returning home from your service, the car behaved the same as before your adjustment. Although I was told that everything was fixed and no further action is needed. The owner does not forget to indicate that they have been doing business like this for 70 years, and it is a pity that they have been doing their business like that, as a professional with 70 years of experience can easily identify a faulty 1996 car, which does not have as many complex elements as newer cars.I saw from personal experience that they cannot make the diagnosis correctly, since the result of your diagnosis is absolute zero. And it s a pity that you don t respect not only the time of your clients, but also your work and your 70-year reputation.
