Another car problem fixed in a day for an excellent price.Dallas and crew essentially entirely rebuilt my front brakes in a day, they even took time on their lunch to paint the calipers and program my new key fobs!I swear by this shop and wont let anyone else touch my car.

I ve been taking my cars to this location since the mid nineties. It has changed hands a few times since then but the owners (current/past) have always been very thoughtful and excellent at explaining the work that they perform. Highly recommend this place.

2003 Jeep Liberty Water PumpI discovered a leak from the front of my engine on my 2003 Jeep Liberty with the 3.7l V6. It looked to be coming from the top of where the water pump mates with the engine block. I discovered this after replacing my radiator.I snapped a couple pics and popped over to Basic Auto to chat with Dallas. After looking at the pics, he agreed that it is the water pump leaking. I had also mentioned that I had attempted to remove the thermostat cover to replace the thermostat. The bottom bolt was binding so I asked if he could manage this as well.He was able to get me an appointment for the following week (much sooner than I was expecting). He also quoted me a very reasonable price for the work to be done.I dropped off the rig the night before the appointment. I received a message to call the next afternoon. I called and talked to Dallas. He had said that the bolt for the thermostat cover had broken and explained in detail the potential options and that there would be an extra charge for the additional labor. I agreed with his direction and understood the it would be ready the following day.The next day I received a message that the rig was ready. When I picked up the Jeep, Dallas explained to me what he had done with the bad bolt. I was great with the fix. When he presented me with the final bill, I was pleasantly surprised that it really wasn't much more than his original quote!I am very happy with the work as well as working with Dallas. Great shop, great guy and would take any of my vehicles there.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

I brought my car in today because my battery on my hybrid was dead. They took me in right away and were honest, caring and fair with pricing and what it would need. They didn t just go into replacing the battery, they took their time to figure out the small matters first before just automatically jumping in. And the thoroughness doesn t break you bank. Highly recommend this place for all of your auto repair needs!

I always go here for oil changes and basic check ups! Mitchell has been the most knowledgeable, down to earth, and kind guy. I don t know much about cars and he is always great at helping me understand my car more. Service is very quick too, with flexible scheduling and good prices! Super convenient location for me, and the coffee is great next door!

I've gone to Dallas at Basic Auto Services for years. Quality work, has never exceeded estimate and often comes in slightly under. In the one time he was unable to do the work (I have a hybrid and the specific issue required a special certification) he recommended another local shop, which turned out to be a good recommendation. Go here and you're in good hands!

This place is great! Very efficient and timely. Will not up-sale you on services, though are mindful and conscious of other services your vehicle may need. They are fair and reasonable in their pricing with above average quality work. This is a local, family owned shop and I feel like I just found my go to mechanic for the rest of the time I will live in the area. 10/10 would recommend!Service: Auto maintenance

I'm a US Navy Sailor currently stationed in Japan and was looking for a vehicle to buy in Washington. Basic Auto Services was very quick to schedule an appointment with me, even though everything was done completely over the phone. They did a very detailed inspection on the vehicle I was about to purchased, but they revealed to me that the car was actually in pretty poor condition. HIGHLY recommend this shop to protect your purchase!Service: Vehicle safety inspection

It's like a primary care doctor for your car. Nice people who patiently answered my questions.My first time here this week, brought my car in for winterization and they did a thorough overview, made sure things were in top shape, and reassured nothing was in need of repair. If there had been a problem, they'd give the details so you can make an educated choice on where to take it to get it fixed. Much better than going to an auto place that does everything but you're not sure if something really needs fixing because the shop is motivated by the money it'd get from whatever they said needed repair.

Dallas and the crew at Basic Auto Service are honest, reliable, and frankly some of the best auto mechanics in the business. I was very satisfied with the job they did on my 2008 Honda Fit. Fixed the window that wouldn't roll up anymore in half the time they quoted me and the price was very reasonable as well! Love this place - if you're looking for a good mechanic I highly recommend giving them a shot.

Genuine, clean, organized and 100% trustworthy. I don't trust too many mechanics and for me to say I would whole heartedly recommend Basic Auto Services, definitely speaks volumes. Mechanic was up front, he presented me with the broken pieces he replaced without being asked and really just made this random mechanic shop find so worth it! I will continue to have my truck repaired here. And I will continue to recommend Basic Auto Service.Service: Auto engine tuning

I needed to get my car looked at right away and Dallas was able to look at it for me, diagnose and fix it promptly knowing I wasn't able to drive it home. He went out of his way to do this and I couldn't say thank you enough! I'm definitely going to see him from now on, he is very honest and trustworthy.

I've been a loyal customer to Dallas and crew for the past couple years. I own an import Toyota Hiace Super Custom (right side drive). It's a fun car to own but parts can be tough to come by. The team here have been really patient with us as we are constatly sourcing parts, some that have fit, others that haven't. Dallas also saved us from ordering a new power steering pump after he dissected it to find a bad o-ring. Simple fix that saved us hundreds. They are super honest and reliable. Keep up the great work guys!

John and Dallas at Basic Auto are great guys. They are hardworking and thorough and extremely honest. We ve always been able to find great mechanics over the years but when our latest retired a few years ago I panicked. One call to Basic Auto took care of my fear. As a woman, I always wonder if someone s trying to take advantage of me but these 2 men are as good as they come. Our adult children use them, now, as well, to maintain their cars. Please don t hesitate to give them a try!

Went above and beyond to create a wonderful customer experience! Went to get an oil change with no appointment needed and ended up getting free visual car inspection, light bulb changes, and free car vacuuming. Great customer service at an amazing price!

Dealership was asking 1500 to fix a few leaks they discovered during a maintenance check, so I looked around for a better price, brought my truck to these guys who were actually honest and told me there was literally no leakage. Walked away not having to pay anything...Definitely good to know this is an honest business, I'll be coming here from now on!

My wheel nearly fell off after bad Wmart tire mounting. Basic Auto showed me the problem and started work on it the next day, replacing the broken parts. I was afraid the brake caliper would have to be replaced but they found it to be un damaged. Went for an oil change. They got me in on short notice and finished on time and did thorough inspection of the car and took time to talk though the things that will require attention in the future. Plan to go back again for more work.
