Andy s Auto Repair operates with a scamming mentality. Despite a month-long wait for an appointment, the service was abysmal. Upon arrival at 8am, the garage was bustling, but mechanics were idle. It took relentless waiting just to check in, and by 1pm, my oil change hadn't even begun. When they finally got to it, they concocted a laundry list of unnecessary repairs totaling over $2000. Upon inspection at home, there were no leaks or issues they claimed. The replacement of parts that are not malfunctioning or leaking, such as the timing chain and gasket, raises suspicion. The timing chain and gasket are not directly related to an oil leak unless there are specific symptoms or diagnostic tests indicating a problem. They're clearly preying on unsuspecting customers. Avoid this establishment unless you enjoy being scammed.I must reiterate that upon returning home, I did not observe any visible oil leaks as initially indicated. It's this discrepancy between the reported issue and the absence of observable leaks that raised questions regarding the necessity of the suggested repairs.Furthermore, it remains puzzling how a diagnosis for a timing chain replacement, a complex and costly procedure, could be warranted for an oil leak when no visible leaks were detected.Scam!

I discovered that one of my rear blinkers was out this weekend and stopped by the Hyundai dealership shortly after they opened to see if they could quickly pop a new bulb in. No walk-in availability and was told to go to Grease Monkey down the road. I remembered my mom had been to Andy s, at the recommendation of Edmonds Automotive, so I gave them a call and they told me to come in. They installed a bulb and I was on my way! Thanks for the quick help!

One of the great mechanic shops around. Honest, considerate, accurate, and complete - all for a reasonable price. We have taken all our vehicles to Andys for years, many, many years.

I did a on frame restoration on my cj7 & installed some aftermarket engine mounts and built my own t-case crossmember but wanted to upgrade to heavier duty mounts and have a better t-case member built as, I am a novice welder and the new engine brackets need to be welded to the frame.I explained over email, over the phone and in person in detail what I wanted. Corey assured me they could. So, I made an appointment. I drove the jeep to their shop. But when I got there Corey forgot to write down the appointment and he wasn't there to confirm that I had an appointment. But I believed once Corey arrived he could explain everything. But he never showed. I was hesitant leaving my jeep over night, but Brian assured me it would be parked in the rear of the shop. So, I figured, I really wanted to get it done so agreed. ~But what's worse, they Bait and switch! They are big talk, but don't deliver on their bragged experiences or abilities. I really wanted to like them as I've met some creepy and dishonest auto shops but sadly they also are a big disappointment. For one, they like to 'up sell' to people. True mechanics will see these tricks but novices, should be warned.Ex. They told me they would have to move the entire exhaust system to the other side of the vehicle in order to build a t-case crossmember. News flash! It doesn't matter what side the exhaust runs down as you'd have to build the crossmember Around the exhaust pipes either side of the vehicle! And Corey said my New JM200 motor mounts was "wrong" for my 4.3 v6 GM engine swap and couldn't install them. But they could buy another pair (which would be $199 plus a few more days to reach them). And when I asked how much to do what they wanted, Corey said they "were ALREADY a couple hours into it". ~So, they charge people to look at vehicles and see if they can do certain services, even if they don't do any actual work?! And when I went to rescue my vehicle they parked it next to the crosswalk (sorry no crosswalk, they left the jeep partially in the sidewalk) and left the key in the ignition. Again, I really wanted to like them and hoped I found a place my family and friends could go but now have told them all to avoid Andy's.Especially ~Beware If you're a novice at auto mechanics. As, I worry that other people will NoT see their true colors and so, I reported them to the BBB and others...As far as Corey's response to my review. I contacted mountainoffroad.com that sells the JM200 motor mounts, gave them my specs (1976 cj7 jeep with GM 4.3 v6 engine, th700r4 transmission, Dana 300 t-case etc) and asked if they were a direct fit. Scott responded "Yes." .....Believe me or don't. Look at the pics. After Corey said they were charging me for looking at the jeep, and couldn't, or wouldn't Install the better mounts, I then asked if they could reinforce the current mounts. They only did two gussets, (said would do 4 and charged $281 for them as well as to check brakes as the pedal was soft after I converted from front drum to disc brakes and wanted a second opinion on it.) See pic~paint bubbling from spilled brake fluid that they did, and clearly the exhaust (I built) is not in way of crossmember. The green drawing in the photo is an example of how I wanted them to build the crossmember. (as you can see the exhaust is on the passenger side and away from the parts requiring modifications) The last photo is of the JM200 motor mounts that I wanted them to install over the current fragile ones that I installed.

My family and I have been taking our cars here exclusively for service for over a decade. Corey is the most honest mechanic you'll ever come across, and his guys do great work. Never overcharges or recommends any work that isn't necessary, and will always ask first. I won't take my cars anywhere else

This place was so efficient and friendly! I was just missing a few bolts in my splash guard, called them, and within 30 minutes they were able to fix it and have it back. They have extremely competitive prices and the staff is extremely friendly. I will definitely be back for all of my auto needs!

Wow! I really don t know what else to say!!! My Chevy Astro from 1994 had an exhaust leak (I thought) turns out the whole thing to the engine was completely destroyed by rust and it would cost me over 4000$ to do it the save way. They told me that I could tell them to give them a 1000$ operating range and they ll try to fix it (if they fail well I don t think I would pay over 6000$ or even more to fix it). One day later they called me and it was done!!! (they also just used 600$) And the car is now like new you hear nothing!!! So I can 100% recommend going there. Awesome service!

Always thorough and thoughtful with an attention to detail that makes me confident in driving long distances in my vehicle. Out of the cars I've had maintained by Andy's over the years I've had ZERO of them have any issues. Before I started going there I had cars having problems all the time. This place has great service and great prices.

Corey is very customer obsessed. I went in for a minor issue (post a phone call) and Corey squeezed me into his already busy schedule. He had a look at the issue I was facing and explained why what could have happened, how we can fix it and the various options. I immediately felt confident that I arrived at the right place. Of course Corey's price was reasonable tooOne of the best shops our there with reasonable price and customer focusOnly con is , the place is a bit easy to miss if you don't look for the huge signboard

When the dealer couldn't replicate my problem but wanted to replace my entire electrical system I decided to get another opinion, George at Andy's told me they would find the problem not just wholesale start replacing parts that we don't know if they're bad or not.Quote from dealer- $1700Fixed at Andy's- $600And it was not the electrical system...Very happy customer.Thank you everyone at Andy's!!!Service: Electrical

I recently had taken my F150 to the Ford dealership for a check engine light and some routine maintenance. When I went to pick it up, it was running extremely rough and blowing white smoke. I asked them about it and they looked it over and told me it was just the chemicals burning off from them doing the fluid flush. It didn't get any better so I decided to have someone else take a look at it. I called Andy's Auto Repair and they answered right away. It was nice to talk to an actual person and have them really listen to what had happened. I dropped my truck off in the morning and Corey said they would take a look at it and let me know.I was expecting it to take a few days for them to check everything over but was surprised when he called me back the next morning and said they had figured it out and unfortunately I needed a new engine. He was extremely helpful and walked my through the whole troubleshooting process they did and did a great job of answering all my questions.Buying a new engine wasn't the route I wanted to take so I told him I would pick up my truck the next day and he said no problem. When I picked it up, Corey was very sincere and told us that he was sorry this had happened to us. When I asked him how much it was going to cost (expecting some cost to look everything over and troubleshoot the issue) he told me there was no charge and to have a nice weekend.I definitely recommend Andy's Auto Repair to all my friends and family and will be bringing my new truck here for all it's needs.

They are the best, honest and do great work. Took one of my work vans there for a leak and they fixed it for 65.00. Fleet service in Everett wanted 3000.00 to fix all kinds of leaks that didn't exist. They will get my business for all my vehicle's.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto A/C replacement, Transmission repair, Car waxingServices: General repairs & maintenance, Auto A/C replacement, Transmission repair, Car waxing

Very professional, very knowledgeable. They were too busy to entirely fix my problem (a window that wouldn't stay up,) but they were able to get the window up and lock it into place until they could get the vehicle into the shop for a proper repair. My father was an auto and engine mechanic, and he taught me what look for in an auto repair facility. Andy's has all the signs of an excellent repair facility. I'll update this review when they've done more work on my vehicle. For now, I'll recommend them, based on what I've seen and heard there.

This place has saved me a lot of money over going to the Honda dealer. Quality the same or better. And Andy's never lied to me.

I'm glad I went to Andy's. One, they allowed me to furnish my own parts which saved a lot of money. The process to set up an appointment was really easy. They did quality work; I waited over a week to write this and nothing that they installed have failed on me. They even changed my headlight and taillight bulbs, and checked my battery for free. Then the coup-de-grace was the cost of labor was a lot less than what I expected, especially compared to a quote that I received from another mechanic shop. If your experience is anything like mine, you won't be disappointed.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Brakes, Battery

We took our 2018 Subaru Forester in for the 60,000 mile maintenance check, i had done the cabin filter and air filter and had the oil changed before hand. I wanted to get the rear diff oil changed, brake fluid flushed and changed and new spark plugs, also tires rotated. We left the car the evening before and Corey called the next morning and said he had looked at everything and did not need this maintenance done as everything looked really good. He did rotate the tires and said we could come pick up car at our convenience. We expected some charge to look over everything and do the tire rotation. We got there and he said no charge. We have always respected his opinion on his work. Thanks for being honest.Eric & Chris Burt, Edmonds, WAService: General repairs & maintenance

Have been taking my car here for over 7 years. They've always given me the best customer service and have done nothing but amazing work on all my vehicles. They have fair prices and Corey always lets you know exactly what is going on an communicates with you through the whole process- even if your car is in the shop for a few days.I've always taken my car here, no matter where I live. It's worth the drive for superior care.

Just wanted to thank Cory and his team for the years of excellent service they have provided us. Hard work, honesty, and reasonable pricing are reasons we have done business with Andy's Auto for 6+ yrs. In an industry that abounds with skepticism it's great to see that there are still businesses with old fashioned principles. I would compare them to a 50's diner where they serve juicy burgers & hand-cut fries

This is the best auto mechanic shop in the area. They did my clutch and bled my brakes in one day I dropped off my truck in the morning and picked it up after work. It was perfect. You might be able to get your work done cheaper but you cannot get it done better remember you get what you pay for here. Andy's has a reputation as an honest top notch repair shop and I would recommend them over any other shop in this area. I don't let just anyone work on my vehicles but I trust this shop exclusively.

Have had very little success in getting anyone here to pickup the phone during business hours. Have left them 3 messages in last 3 weeks including my name, number and reason for my calls (just seeking appointment for a routine oil change for my car). They have yet to return any of my messages. Pretty weird.

I ve taken all my vehicles to Andy s for the last few years. Everything from a 24 ft box truck to a Mitsubishi Eclipse. They never hesitate to get the job done no matter what! It was hard to find a mechanic for my box trucks until I found Andy s. They treat me like family there and I really appreciate everything they do! Highly recommend.
