This place has went down hill. They use to do walk in appointments and out of pocket repairs. I walk in and no one is in there. When someone did show up she was apparently the estimator. I explained our situation and she was snotty refused to even schedule a out of pocket estimate for us. I don't really know what her position is but maybe she should be more professional.i understand they're short staffed but it doesn't mean that you can be disrespectful

The insurance said we needed an estimate from this place after someone drilled into my gas tank. They couldn t get us an estimate in the 24 hours they had it on their property, nor do they hold themselves liable if my truck was vandalized again parked in their front open parking area. Just rude and unbelievable attitude towards possible clients.Update 12/27/23 I m responding to the company that stated someone will be calling me, yeah that never happened. No apologies or explanations, this place is so disappointing.

My car is currently at Gerber being worked on. While I can't really speak of the service provided by the shop, the customer service has been absolutely terrible. My biggest complaint is simply that they do not even attempt to answer the phone. My insurance company, my wife and myself have all called numerous times in the last 10 days. At least 25 times. And not once have I spoken to anyone since I dropped off my vehicle. The only contact I have been able to accomplish was to physically go to the shop and attempt to get information about my car. And then, let's just say, the information was difficult to obtain. This is costing me time and money due to them SIMPLY REFUSING TO ANSWER THEIR PHONES. Honestly I can't believe a business can operate like this. Would not recommend bringing your car here for this reason alone. Very disappointing to be told how busy they have been while the employees are sitting in the lobby area chatting about whatever, while the phones don't get answered. Infuriating is a better description.Service: Body & Trim

I found this place to be very difficult to get service. Two weeks after the insurance sent them the case, and I could not reach them on the phone or get called back, they still did not call me, so I went to them.While I was there, they claimed that they never received the order. So I called USAA in their office and handed the lady my phone.While there they were actively making fun of a distraught customer after sending her out with an employee to look at the work she said was done wrong or not done at all....while helping me.Once that was done, she went out and looked at the car, promising an estimate by the next day. Several days later, I could not reach them over the phone still and no call backs after multiple voicemails, I went back in person and waited for the estimate, and to schedule the work.The work was scheduled a month out, and there was no way to get it sooner, so I accepted determined to drive as little as possible due to alignment issues and in infant.I most recently received a message 2 days before the scheduled work, saying that "all of July was being re-scheduled and they could not see me until the end of August.At this point I called USAA and complained about the company, and requested to be sent elsewhere.Caliber Collision looked at my car, an estimate was given the same day, and the work was done the following work day. All was done with friendly professionalism.

So... this is hard because Gerber themselves are 5 star. From start to finish was great. Customer service was great, everything.Where the 5 star stops is the exhaust place they subbed out to. I believe they said it was buckys? The welds are absolute trash... like... my 7 year old could probably do better. The bolts they use were what appear to be the right ones but one is obviously used and not new? But yet they charged what they charged? This is highly unacceptable.Luckily this was an insurance thing, but the amount the insurance paid makes me feel bad that this is what they paid for... this looks extremely bad for Gerber that they give this place business and this is the result. I've learned that at least myself if I need exhaust work done in definitely not going to go to buckys.. I'm fairly certain there's a good chance this will fail and start sending exhaust into the cab, but only time will tell.If you can, use Gerber as they're great, but if you need exhaust work, ask them if they can sub out to another place, maybe someone that actually knows what they're doing.

Back in Oct/Nov, I had a ladder fly into my car on the freeway and crunched my front end. Gerber was the soonest available to even get an estimate, which 3 months later is where I wound up.When I came in for the estimate, no one was at reception or anywhere inside the building for a solid 10 minutes. Myself and another woman were waiting and when someone arrived, she stated that it s not her job running the front and they are short staffed. So we started out that way, which maybe she was having a bad day so I just let that slide.Next comes the estimate process where I waited for their photographer to show up (didn t take long); she was wonderful, we were laughing and having great conversation. She told me that it d be roughly 1k but they wouldn t know until they got the bumper off to see if there was further damage. She scheduled me to come back today at 9 am.My insurance company called to see if we had received an estimate since they did not. They then called Gerber to confirm that I had an estimate preliminary on file and Gerber said I HAD NEVER BEEN THERE AND THERE WAS NO RECORD ON FILE for me.I repeat. I had never been there . Even though I was there for over an hour and my husband even stopped by toward the end of the estimation process to see if they were going to keep my car that day (did I need a ride home?) or not.I should ve trusted my gut instinct and asked to go somewhere else but at this point we are half a year away from the initial accident. Now my insurance doesn t even work with Gerber anymore, so if that doesn t tell you something maybe this long review will.

This shop did my estimate on January 2nd. Two days later I was called by Gerber corporate to be told that my estimate wasn t in. I informed them I had gone in and gotten my estimate. Three weeks later my insurance called me to inform me Gerber never submitted my estimate. I called the shop and the person who originally did the estimate said I totally forgot to submit, I will do it right now . A week and a have later it had still not been submitted. I went into the store and was told that they would be right with me. I was ignored for 10 minutes. I called my insurance and told them everything. The person at Lakewood admitted everything to my insurance. It still took another week for my estimate to be submitted. I am now with another shop but my rental has obviously ran out. I contacted Gerber last week to ask what they are going to do for me. I was told I would be called next day. 3 days later no one contacted me. I had to call them back and was informed if I had stayed with them they would extend my rental but since after the third mess up on their part I went elsewhere, there is nothing they can do for me. Obviously this location is horrendous service but please bear in mind Corporate knows about it and could care less!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Body & Trim

I love this place. I have gotten work done on both of my vehicles here. Dave is very professional and a great estimator...I have up and coming work that will be done on my car. I learned Dave no longer works here. I hope service is the same seeing that I have waited almost 2 months for an appointment.

Do not trust this place ! They have horrible customer service . I went there for an estimate and I even had an appointment and I waited for 30 minutes and finally the estimator came out and she was there a total of 5 minutes . And I never received an estimate and I called and called till finally State Farm had called and finally got thru . Then we received the estimate which was completely wrong and my car had more damage and I had to take it to another shop and now I am fighting with my insurance company because of this horrible place that she just put a quick estimate together and that was it . Nothing matches the damage to my car that the other shop seen . Unbelievable ! Please stay away from this place .

I brought my car here after getting backed up into. The staff were extremely efficient and very kind. They even finished my vehicle sooner than they predicted. They went above and beyond and my car looks as good as new. Thanks, Gerber!Service: Body & TrimService: Body & Trim

Not only did they reschedule our appointment several times but when we showed up to the final scheduled appointment, the lady at the front desk was so rude and said we still don t have any technicians to work on your car, so wide-eyed and shrugged her shoulders. She had no regard for anyone s time or her interaction with us as customers. She just sat there listening to a seminar on her phone until I decided what I needed to do. She didn t greet us upon entering or exiting the place.

Although they are backed up on work, this company has always provided great work. I have used Gerber Collision & Glass for many years now anytime that have been involved in an accident. Only 1 time was my fault. Either way, I can't recommend them enough. Thank you Gerber!

Someone hit my car in my work parking lot and I went through Gerber through my insurance. These guys were amazing! Amazing communication throughout the whole process. When I dropped my car off they arranged my rental to pick me up at the shop on my behalf. I got texts daily with updates and my car was done in 5 days! The original quote was 2-3 weeks! Blessed to have my car back in time for the snow and looking brand new. Thank you Gerber! I will be recommending this location to everyone.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Friendly, competent and professional service from start to finish. And then Gerber gave my car back to me way cleaner than how it was when I dropped it off. They only had to replace my hood so the amount of time and effort they took to clean my car inside and out has stuck with me. I am very happy I brought my car there.

Have always taken my cars here for my accident claims. They are fast and efficient also very friendly and honest.FYI: they do not have a drop box to be able to drop your car off the night before your appointment.Gerber Collision: Maybe after reading this you may consider having one. A Dropbox would be more helpful for people who have to work early in the morning M-F and cannot drop off during your open hours.

Did a great job. Very poor communication about delays. Had to call them about when job as going to be finished. Told job was going to finished on this day no call or message about delays. Would recommend but make sure they keep in touch with you. Very frustrating.

The staff was helpful and friendly I would have rated higher a staff member quit and they dropped the ball without keeping me updated after having my car for over a month with no communication rental maxed out with insurance 3mo still no car and no help

After my accident I needed to get my car in quick and many other shops in town were telling me it would take a few weeks just to get an appointment and Gerber got my car in the same day and finished it in one day! They arranged for my rental car and kept me updated throughout the process! I would highly recommend!

Their customer service on the phone with excellent but we tried 3 � 2 get an appointment in all 3 times with cancelled. I am sure this is a great company however make sure you ask for someone In replace of a person who cancels, this way the job will get done. I gave it 3 stars only because of the customer service on the phone .

Go to any other body shop. Our vehicle was rear ended, so we went to Gerber for an estimate and to schedule repairs. Terrible customer service. They were extremely snide and condescending, they were over 20 minutes late for our appointment when there were no other customers at the business, set a date nearly three weeks out to begin repairs, then never emailed us an estimate afterwards. I called multiple times to follow up, couldn t get through to anyone. When I finally called their headquarters, I was told that not even they were able to get the Lakewood location to answer their phones. They emailed the location and asked them to call me about the estimate, and no call ever came. We wasted over a week waiting to hear back when the car could have been being repaired elsewhere. They don t answer their phones when you call to follow up, and they are extremely rude and have no respect for their customers time. Save yourself a headache and pick any other shop that s available. We cancelled the claim with gerber and chose carstar instead, and they have been much more responsive and have already begun the repairs. Just a tip in case anyone else on here is in the same ridiculous situation with gerber and needs an alternative.Service: Body & Trim

They did an amazing job on my 2019 Optima after it got some front and rear damage. Looks new again! Will definitely be returning if I ever need a repair done

I had a deer run into my 4-runner and these guys got it fixed in 3 days, were extremely nice, and very professional!We looked at a few places to go and felt like most places were just trying to get as much money as they could from us. One place said it would cost $3500 to fix, until we said we had USAA and then they quickly said it would only be around $1800. Gerber collision gave us the best price up front without all the quick adjustments once they knew our insurance.If you have USAA, this is one of their approved places and they set everything up for us and it was SO EASY!This is definitely the best place to go for collision repair. Hopefully I don t need to, but if I do, I know my vehicle will be in good hands here.

Do not go here. And then make sure you don't even drive by here. It will cause you to have a headache just being in proximity....major issues with scheduling (months!!), getting anyone at the "hotline" to answer the phone, finally!!! being transferred and then multiple times they will hang up on you, showing up as scheduled and not having your car worked on so having to pick it up and take it back, just a very negative experience that you should avoid so go elsewhere!

I had the strangest experience. We show up to an appointment and an older white man with rubber bands in his goatee told us that they can't work on older cars. Why not call us before we came here as we told them the make, model and year of the car ( they also said they were excited to see the car )? He responds with odd absurdities claiming he can't remember things from weeks ago ( we saw him in-person 3 days prior ) amongst other things. Why not simply apologize and hold yourself accountable? Instead, this older white man with rubber bands in his goatee proceeds to blame others on his staff and mock us for being disappointed. This man's actions were so odd. I never have to leave bad reviews for anywhere - this was just abnormally strange and needs to be documented. If this is any indication of the work that they do, I would take your business elsewhere as I have never been spoken to like that. It was like the Twilight Zone.

My mini came out better than when it was broken into. Great customer service quality of work. They went above and beyond my expectations even when BMW was sending them glass that was not going to work. Thank you so much for fixing my car and making it look brand new. Defiantly will come back for any repairs.

I was trying to get my rear passenger glass replace for Subaru Forester. Called Gerber got a quote from Glass America. i made clear to install the OEM clear glass and i will just get it tinted afterwards. Came to the Shop Gerber and meet with installer. Notice they they brought the wrong glass( it was a privacy tint). Installer told me will just install this glass for now so that i have a glass for now. after few days went back to shop meet with a different installer. brought again a wrong glass . explain to him that i ask clear glass in the first place. He said the dispatcher will told me they called all their supplier and dealership here in WA. and told them they don't carry or make a clear glass for my car. i called 1 dealership and they told me they carry clear glass for my car . So i don't know what is the deal with that customer service who lied to me and to just give the glass that i didn't ask in the first place. i tried calling back but their not answering.Installers: 5 Star ( fast , clean , professional )Customer Service or dispatcher : 1 star

I recently got my car repaired with Gerber collision & Glass on Febuary 8th. I had an estimate it was accurate and fast, then had my car in their shop. What I liked about Gerber collision is the facility is clean, the staff's and people that was working on my car was very friendly, and always kept me informed about the status of my vehicle :) these guys receive more then a 5 star. I personally would give them a 10 stars!! The front desk person the lady I forgot her name supper friendly and kept customers smiling. Gerber Collision Keep up the good job with how Honest, Friendly, and how Clean you all keep the facility. I THANK YOU ALL SOO MUCH. Honestly the first time I was sketchy in putting my trust with them, with my car experiences I had before, now I can Honestly Trust them 100% they took really good care of my car, and not last but least treated me with nothing but respect since the beginning.

Julie the gm was extremely rude to me while going threw this process of my car being worked on . the fact that she laughed at me and hung up on me when im going threw a hard time is unbelievable to me and yes i called corporate on her.
