I wish I can give a zero star -0Passenger side heater wasn t working at all. I took it to Buckys in Lakewood WA to fix. They did a great job of fixing the problem but unfortunately, they creates a different problem for me. I returned the car back to them about three or four times for overheating light flashing. I scheduled to take the car then they told me, nothing wrong with the car and we shall continue to monitor. I said OK second time I took the car they told me oh it was a tube that broken and cracked the leakage of the coolant and that problem was solved. I said OK I took the car within a week or so, the light overheating lights came back on flashing at me I called them. I returned the car. They look at it like oh it s some ring that has a problem so they change that ring I said OK perfect let s continue to watch that. Sadly it happened again last week I took the car they feel that they said they fixed the problem. yesterday I took the car. They said there was nothing wrong. They have done a run and they didn t see anything wrong. I told them it s a cooling sensors I read online. I watch a video online that he says when that little flashing it means something is wrong w cooling system so that whole cooling sensors needs to be change the whole cooling. System needs to change replace the whole thing. They are like. Oh nothing wrong with the car. We fix the problem but when I pick up the car, I noticed there was a water on the carpet on the driver side and I thought oh maybe because it was raining it might be drizzle from the shoe of Mechanic but this morning I look it was still wet, drench and wet I look under it was like the water coming from the engine area I called them I spoke to somebody and they are like oh I wasn t here yesterday and I told him I m the car elsewhere so I will take the car elsewhere for them to diagnose what s going on because I feel like they have broken my system because the car was in a good condition When I took the car for heating repair . The only reason I took the car there. It was the heating problem and after the heating problem, this issue started over and over so we will see.. I encourage anybody not to take the car to these people because they are going to destroy your car for some reason it s in their power to destroy my car. We will revisit this when I find out what s wrong with the flashing lights!

I don't know what's happened in the last few years, because our last experience at Buckeys was so awful. We came in to do a very simple brake job. They called us less than an hour later, throwing a 3k$ cost quote and a huge list of new problems with our car.....?? And on the things we knew we needed they triple charged us for parts. It was frustrating, because our car was working great minus the brakes before we brought it in? When we went to take our car back, they gave us a list of issues handwritten on paper, didn't charge for diagnostics and sent us on our way...??The reasons behind all this odd behavior can only leave me to assume they didnt even do a diagnostics(because they would DEFINITELY have charged for that) and they just threw a huge number at us, hoping we'd be sucker's.Don't waste your money. We found a reputable mobile mechanic and paid less then 800$ for a full break job including parts+labor. These people used to be pretty decent and seemed honest a few years ago. I will never go back after reading these recent reviews and having that awful experience.

Everytime I've had my car serviced there , all of the workers are professional, clearly explain the work that's needed and the cost. I take my car there for routine maintenance and would recommend Buckys to my friend's.

I was recently in need of an emergency purchase of a new vehicle, and wanted to do things right and get a pre purchase inspection before purchasing a used vehicle. I had already been looking at cars all day, and in the afternoon found one that seemed like a viable option, but I wanted to be sure.No other mechanics in the area had openings that afternoon or took drive ins, so I was relieved to hear that they have drive in PPI s.The mechanics were super knowledgeable about the local used car dealerships and were able to give me some pointers. They were also able to quickly find that the car I was looking at had some transmission issues that the dealership was trying to cover up, and kindly advised me against the purchase.I m really thankful that they found the issue and saved me from purchasing a car with transmission issues that could cost $3k-$4k to repair. The only downside is that the PPI cost $140 before tax and after being in a bad car situation, I definitely felt that financially.

Recently, my son s car was overheating. He drove it to the nearest garage, Bucky s, where they diagnosed a blown head gasket. They recommended replacing the radiator and encouraged an entire engine rebuild for $8,000. After hearing this, we had it towed for a second opinion. The second garage found a unclipped upper radiator hose. Our bill for everything they repaired there was $900. His car has been driving strong.

They put a new engine in my F150. Couldn't get it running. Deceived me into paying to have it towed to south hill location ( farthest location possible from home) then tell me I need a wiring harness they cannot get. Let's keep in mind that i drove the truck there...... So I go retrieve my truck that breaks down 2 blocks away and there is no ac or power steering..... DO NOT GO THERE OR TROY AUTO REPAIR IN OLYMPIA.... JOHN TROY IM SURE SABOTAGED THE IN QUESTION WIRING DIAGRAM.......

Absolutely aweful, they attempted to fix an engine shake 3 times and it STILL doesn't work. They said it needed a $3,000 tune up which didnt work and then another 3,000 to fix the cam phasers. They do not care about you or you vehicle, DO NOT take you car here for any reason. I have lost over 2 months salary and my truck drives worse than when i brought it in.They tried to tell me i was getting a "discount" by removing the shop fee and some other minor charges, yet i had already paid the shop fee the first 2 times.

Super smart and very knowledgeable, they know the exhaust trade. Someone stole the catalytic converter off my 7.3 Powerstroke and they helped me figure out I didn't even need it. Lol

I dropped my 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT for a oil change today.I dropped if off at 8 am. I was quoted a price for the service. I went back home and to my surprise they called me at 9 am with status. They had looked the car over and saw some things that needed to be serviced aside from the oil change. I was told what needed to be done. The severity of the issues and left to decide what I wanted to do.Everything that was said needed done does match to the cars mileage. I declined at this time as I was not prepared with the amount of money needed for the repairs. I was met with understanding and never felt I was being pressured to have them do more work than I originally wanted done. I was told the car would be ready for pickup shortly. When I arrived i was greeted as I walked through the door just like when I dropped the car off. The price of the oil change was exactly as I had been quoted. They topped off the brake fluid and a little coolant as it was a touch low. No charge. There wasn't any pressure as to when I could come in for the other work that needed to be done. As part of my receipt it had a print out of the issues and pricing so I could come back at another time if I wished.I highly recommend this location. Bryan and Donovan were a pleasure to deal with. I will be coming back as I was treated with respect and the price was just as I was quoted over the phone. No hidden fees etc.

2 months ago I took my car in to fix and they said they put in a new part and the problem is fixed and my car won t shut off again while driving and it cost me $1100. On Friday while driving to Walmart the car just shut off on the ride but mind you they put in a new part and it shouldn t happens again. I towed my car in that same day and got my car back the next day which is Saturday and I was told it should happens again. I paid $856 for nothing, the very next day which is Sunday I was driving to church and the car shut off again but good thing I was able to turn it back on. The next day which is Monday I didn t even go anywhere until 6pm for my classes i turn on my car but it won t start I called them they told me to tow in my car it prolly something else. Please don t ever go to this place they rip you off and nothing but liars.

Bucky's will take advantage of women. I watched the Narrows Bucky's charge a lady and her daughter for a new heater core. I was having a new catalytic converter on my car. I watched them change the thermostat and thats all they did and charged the lady for a new heating core several hundreds of dollars more. This place lives up to the stereotype of how to over sell a woman by herself who knows no better. I d hope that s not it but at this point, who

I went in to get my service car fixed for my security business. The employees there were able to figure out the issue and fix my car problem the same day. They did find that something else was wrong with my car and was able to fit me in the next day. The service was impeccable. They treated me with kindness and I could tell they cared about me as a customer. Will definitely be back if I ever need my car worked on again. Thank you guys so much.

Buckeys is affordable but I learned in the long run they do things to cause your car to brake down again. In my situation they were working on oil switch and intentional loosen parts like spark plug and coil packs and leave it and the removed the tire weights on my tire when I had them do my break and rotors. Just needing with things they aren t getting paid to world on to cause you problems o come back again. I had two separate situations this happened. Want to share for those of you who can t afford it may go to buckeys for the deal but in the long run it costs you way more money and puts your car at risk of causing you to have an accident. Be safe don t go to buckeys Lakewood!

My car sprung an oil leak and after calling the dealership service department and getting no where, I decided to take the car to Bucky s since they had done a repair for me in the past. Vehicle service aside (it was good, too) the customer service was absolutely phenomenal. Quick, communicative, and cost-conscious. The manager is incredibly friendly and has a positive attitude toward customers. Really happy with my experience!

I went to Buckys as I was recommended by someone and inquire about my transmission as I know nothing about cars. Griffin was there to assist and he was very equipped with all the information I needed to know. He was articulate and he knows what he was doing. Bryan was also there to assist and checked my car if the transmission is sounding bad or whatsoever. Then both of them checked the engine and the fluid which was my main concern. I didn t end up doing a service as they told me well enough of what I need to do. Am very happy of the customer service that they displayed! Very professional and knows how to take good care of people! Amazing indeed! I will surely recommend you guys to people who needs car services.

We will never bring our car back to this place. It literally took them five times to figure out why the check engine light was on. They also did our oil change, and we never had a problem with anything with this car except for the check engine light. Three weeks later we had an oil leak and finding out it was the oil pressure sensor that was leaking all over the engine. We finally took it somewhere else and they asked where we took it because that should not have broke.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I highly recommend this place. The owner is very nice. He seems like he is looking out for your best interest without seeming sketchy. He was willing to look at my car hands on and see if he can help me start my car. My car was having electrical issues and only started when it wanted to. For a while the owner helped me learn a trick to start the car until it stopped working over time when the car problems got worse. When he didn't know how to fix it he was honest and gave me his best recommendation, which was to replace the key at a locksmith for cheap price then referred me to the Ford Dealership for diagnosis to fix the car not starting like it should. I appreciated the honesty because going to mechanics can feel intimidating sometimes. But I felt like he genuinely wanted to help me. And the referral did help me fix the problem.Service: Electrical

I don't normally do reviews on businesses because I just expect great service however it seems that statement doesn't hold much water today. Bucky's went above and beyond great customer service and actually did what they said they were going to do. They kept me apprised of what was being done on my vehicle and they finished it much sooner than I expected it. They were very pleasant and were eager to please. I would recommend Buckys to anyone who needs automotive service.Services: Battery, Oil change
