My GMC 2500HD truck was showing signs of transmission issues days before my family and I were getting ready to haul our 40ft travel trailer to Spokane for relocation. Brought my truck to A1 Transmission to have them check it. Turns out to be internally damaged. I had to be in Spokane in a matters of days and A1 Transmission was made known to my situation. They went above and beyond to have my truck ready with a rebuilt transmission for our move. I know now we can be sure to get to where we need to go with our trailer in tow. They also updated my transmission cooler with a bigger one. Thank you too everyone at A1 Transmission.

Very good company, I had a problem 5 years ago, and lived right down the street, and even though they specialize in transmission work. My work didn't involve any transmission work, but he knew I needed the work done and was in a tight spot, so he went ahead and did the work immediately for me so I could make it to work the next day, and he didn't realize how much that meant to me, and it meant so much that, I'm posting this comment 5 years later, as I had this company pop up on my profile, to give feedback for some reason. And I have always remembered that they did this for me, and I had to make sure that they know I still remember the great work they did, and how they went out of the way to help me, and they didn't have to by any means, but thank you so much for the help you gave me that day

I had the best experience with A-1!I took my car to a different shop and got a very high quote. So I decided to call A-1 to see if they could take a look at it. I spoke with Mike who was VERY helpful. He described what they would be doing and also explained all the different scenarios that they could possibly encounter. Once they found out what was going on with my car, he suggested the best route we should take. I trusted his judgment and agreed to start work. He kept me in the loop the whole time they were repairing it as well. I truly appreciate honest mechanics and am so happy with the work they did. I will recommend A-1 from here on out.Thank you Mike and employees for making this a hassle free experience and thank you for the communication and expertise you showed. We'll done A-1!!!

These guys are sprinter experts. They fixed my problem with the hood sensor that Larson Mercedes dealer couldn't do. I took my Metris to Larson 6 times and they could not figure it out. One look by Ken and he solved it. Kudos for being awesome and you guys earned my business for life and all of my fleet will be serviced here. Thank you once again for saving my business. 10 stars.

I took a car my wife bought here to get it looked at. They were unbelievably helpful. They took time out of their day to help me diagnose the car and gave me a few courses of action. I felt the service was comparable to the 1950s service station when you would pull up to the pump and some guy would come out and fill the tank, check the oil, check the tires, clean the windows. Just friendly and personable and professional. Definitely getting my repeat business.

I highly recommend this auto body shop. My car had a problem that was beyond my knowledge. I dropped my car off and they quickly got back with an answer to what was wrong. I didn't have the money to pay right away, they fortunately allowed me to leave my car in their lot till I had the finances. A-1 fixed my car quickly and efficiently for a very fair price. My car works like new. The employees and the owner was also very kind and communicated very well, which I most definitely appreciated.They've definitely got my business and would refer them to anyone needing help.

Our transmission went out and they were more than fare on price so we decided to pick them! The response time was fast if we had any questions or concerns. The turn around time was faster than expected. Went here on with a Groupon. They were helpful and honest about my brakes. Went to replace front brakes, they checked my back brakes as well and didn't like to be and tell me they were bad too like some other places I've been. They even replaced my headlight lamp, moving charge. I am a woman who is always looking for car people who are honest and not trying to take advantage of me.

Ha man I'll speaker the truth when I say these cats are great. I've had no problems at all. They worked with me letting me pay what I COULD every week . while at the same time doing an outstanding job on my chevy suburban. I'd recommend them to my own mom they that good . Tom, the owner, is always willing to listen and help with your problem. They do excellent work and have saved me hundreds of dollars on my repairs. I had an issue with my Dodge truck and another shop wanted thousands to fix it. The part was $150 and they had me up and running the same day. Kudo's Tom and Ray

I d like to start with this, I NEVER leave reviews. Ever!!! But A1 deserves one. They are super friendly, quick and know what they are doing. They did not try to up sell me on anything and they were honest about everything. My car was running super rough with an issue that was rare and hard to replicate. They scanned the pcm turned out to be a simple TPS sensor. The tech who helped me showed me on his scanner the numbers that were messed up. I had purchased a new one and installed it myself. He then re scanned it for me to confirm that this was the fix and it sure was. To my surprise they did not charge me a dime for the inspection. These are honest to god mechanics/transmission specialists who are here for the customer. And super military friendly I might add. If my car ever had any transmission issues or anything involving any kind of service A1 offers, they are the first place I would take it to!

I had my truck serviced at another mechanic. A few days later, the transmission fluid poured out of my truck. I dropped it off at A-1 not knowing what was wrong, but expecting an expensive bill. A-1 called to tell me my truck was ready for pick up. They informed me what the problem was. The transmission fluid was overfilled, which caused it to leak profusely. I walked in and they didn't charge me a penny. THANK YOU!! That is great service!!Service: Transmission

Mike is the best. He is honest and trustworthy. I brought my car in for a second opinion about my transmission. He told me everything was good unlike the first shop who handed me an expensive quote for a new transmission.

Tom, Brody, and Ray are amazing!! This is the place you want to go.. Especially if you are military! They have a military discount, and more importantly they diagnose your car for free!! If you want great quality service, and just all around nice honest people who are knowledgeable about all cars... CHECK them out!!! Five stars!!! Thank you!!

If you have a shifting problem on your Nissan xterra these guys will fix in a timely manner and at a decent price they even found another issue that I have and told me where I can get it fixed. As soon as they get the parts they'll fix it In a day or two. And so far I'm not having any issues.

I took my GMC van to replaced rear left & right bearing The owner Tom Davis give me an extra discount, besides the the15% military discount. Reason was I have to wait another extra 30 minutes, but actually the military discounts is more than enough. I also took my Nissan for transmission drain & fill and they did an excellent job for both vehicle. I also want to thank Ray and the young guy that performed a complimentary checked on my brakes. I highly recommend A1 Transmission for all your car services.

I love bring my vehicles here. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly and they remember you. They are cheap and offer some discounts (like military). They also do regular maintenance. Not just breakdowns. Super satisfied with our service everytime we visit.

The guys at A1 Transmission were great! Took my trailblazer in for a rebuild, the quote was fair and the military discount was much appreciated. Haven t had any issues with their work to date and best of all, they will periodically contact me to ask how my truck is running. Would definitely return, thanks again A1!

My transmission was shifting hard. Most everyone I called were too busy to help. Mike said to bring it in. He and Tom found out the problem and I was on my way.It shifts great now.I certainly recommend this place if you need help with your transmission.Thankyou both..

Best experience I've ever had dealing with an auto mechanic shop. They quickly and accurately diagnosed the exact problem with my transmission, explained all my options and associated costs, and gave me their best recommendation.They found a perfectly good transmission with only 30k miles on it from a scrap yard and only charged about $800 for the labor and replacing the transmission (including %15 military discount). They also fixed another small issue for half price that lakewood transmissions quoted me for the same fix.They also did the entire transmission replacement in less than a day. I dropped it off in the morning and they had it rubbing like brand new that same afternoon.Can't say enough good about them. Straight shooters, kept it simple, honest, great price, and quality work.(Don't waste your time like me dealing with lakewood transmission. They completely mis-diagnosed my issue and quoted pretty expensive prices. Poor customer service and overall very disappointing experience. )

Great shop! Dropped my truck off at 2 and was picking it up at 430 for a new alternator install. Will only take my truck to this shop. Real down to earth people. Reminded me of people from back home!

Great work, not super expensive and rip offs like Firestone. They are military friendly and one worker (also prior service) was super friendly and him and my boyfriend shared deployment stories about tanks haha. Great place

(I wrote this review on Yelp! but wanted to make sure it was on Google as well)I bought a deal on Amazon Local to get my front brakes done on Feb 14th. When I got the voucher I called and set up an appointment for Mar 7th. The gentleman on the phone was nice. So far so good.The day before I was supposed to go in to get the brakes fixed they called me at 3pm and I wasn't available to answer and couldn't call them back during normal hours of operation. I showed up the next morning at 10am for the appointment. The guy at the front desk said he tried calling to let me know brake jobs were taking 2-4 hours since the machine shop they send the rotors to was lacking in workers. They had called the machine shop and let them know they were running this promotion a month ahead of time so they could schedule accordingly for a bit higher volume of customer but the machine shop I guess ignored it. Not that big of a deal, wish they could have let me know a bit sooner than the day beforehand since they had already been running into this issue but I was able to borrow someones car for a while so we didn't have to sit at the shop all day. The guy also let us know the owner had authorized them to sell the rotors at cost if they were not able to be resurfaced and instead needed to be replaced (ours were $90 a piece).I ran around for a little while with my husband and son while they had our car thinking it would only be for a few hours. At about 1pm we got a call that the rotors were too run down so we had to replace them. We gave the OK and waited a bit longer. 3pm rolls around, nothing. We were driving back to try and avoid traffic so we stopped in and they told us that they had ordered the wrong rotors (our car is a 2002 but was manufactured in 2001 which threw them off when ordering the parts) so they had to send them back and juuuuuust got the right ones in. It would take them an hour to put the car back together. I had to call and cancel an appointment I had at 4:30pm since I knew I wasn't going to be able to make it. So we stayed in the area and hung out for over an hour trying to kill time, still nothing. We drove by and the car was sitting there, done in the parking lot and no one had bothered to call to let us know.My husband swung in to pay. The first guy we had dealt with and another guy were in the office arguing, didn't even acknowledge he was standing there with his card out ready to pay. When they finally stopped arguing, the front desk guy explained that we needed more work done on the car including the rear brakes that needed to be replaced anywhere from 3 months to a year depending on driving condition, while the guy he was arguing with before chimes in with "Just tell them they have 3 months! Didn't you go over this with them already?" which turned into another argument between the two. My husband paid and left. The sunroof was open when he had gotten in the car as well and we definitely didn't need to open the sunroof at 10am in the morning when we dropped it off. Checked the mileage on the car and there was two additional miles which could have been freeway driving to check the brakes since they were right off of the exit. We actually got home at around 5pm-ish.Now the first guy we spoke to was really nice and courteous, except in the case where he was arguing with the other guy in the office. We tried to be really understanding about the situation with the machine shop (that was out of their control) and having to replace the rotors (again nothing they could do about it) but after spending our whole day waiting to get our car back, having to cancel appointments, lack of communication on what was happening and passing by to see our car was done and sitting in the lot without receiving a call and no apology or an attempt to make things right we will not be going back there and do not recommend anyone go there to get work done.

Complete scam artists. Bought the brake set groupon. Took my brakes off. Charged me for new brakes and a speed sensor. Just had it confirmed they just paimted my brakes and put them back on.Now the guy refuses that hes ever had me in his shop. Even though i have a $130+$50 (groupon) charge on my debit to his store. I have pictures. Of inside his store. But ive never been there.

I have worked with Tom, and his family of a crew .They are great at what they do when they do. please let your worries go when you take your automobiles to A-1 Transmission. They will never let you down. Thank you A-1 Transmission for all you have done for my family and I.
