1/18/24My wife's van needed a new flexplate. I was quoted $1,195 plus the flexplate... the bill was $1,195 plus the flexplate! I had the Transmission serviced also. It runs great! I love these folks!As you can see from the photos, they are very popular. .. alot of good people needing a good honest shop!11/20/19I read somewhere in the reviews that someone complained about the warranty service. I had a minor problem with the Windstar shifting a little rough occasionally. David got it in the shop and found the problem. It is back on the road and doing great... no charge. I'll keep recommending Sea Tac.I took my first transmission there 44 years ago. I was a broke kid and David's father treated me great. He gave me a free flexplate I needed but couldn't afford. David is doing his father proud. I'm about to take my Windstar in. I've recommended them to many friends and family over the years... never been disappointed. I've always been impressed with their service.RonJust picked up the Windstar. It runs great. I tried to pull my pickup out of a ditch with it... bad idea ... ended up using AAA for both I broke the planetary gear ( whatever that is ) and just basically tore it up.The guys at Seatac Transmission had it in and out in one week with no appointment. I'm a happy camper.My out the door price was $3388.00. Again... I'm happy.These folks are EASILY worth the drive. It's hard to find an honest shop... these folks are.RonUPDATE...I dropped off my Ranger pickup when I picked up my Windstar for servicing. It has around 85,000 on it. Welcome to honest... when I talked with David today he said everything looked good and the bill was $125.00 + tax. I have $50 that says most shops would find SOMETHING that needed fixing. I'm happy again. Well worth the drive.RonI've been busy so I am just now wrapping this up.I picked up my Ranger. What a difference! Once again Seatac Transmission treated me great.Thank you,Ron

This is my third visit to SeaTac Transmission and I have never been disappointed. It is about the most HONEST transmission shop out there and the owner/employees are top notch. Just took my 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid in today for a CVT and Rear Differential ATF WS fluid change and saved about 50% from what a dealer charges for the same operation. Honesty and value, what else could you ask for.

Worth the extra dollars to have someone experienced and that you trust doing the work. Family business that's been around a long time for a reason. Recommended to me by co-worker. A little pricey for flush, filter, gasket, but otherwise 5 star.

I took my truck to have the transmission rebuilt and a new clutch and throw out bearing put in it. He had my truck for 5 months total 2 months the first time and the second time I had to take it back it was 3 months. He did not return my phone calls he did not update me on the progress of my vehicle or tell me what was going on with it I had to call him every time and after I got it back the second time, he had not even touched the truck in the 3 months that it had been sitting on his property to fix what he didn't fix the first time. He gave me $800 back to fix what he did not fix the second time but charged me almost $3,000 the first time for parts that he didn't put on the vehicle incorrectly. Now almost a year later I still have issues with my truck and still cannot drive it because I do not have the money to fix it again. I do not recommend this businessService: Transmission

Dave is a great person!! I ll just say that first! I felt like I called too much LOL but he never changed his professionalism or his attitude about it! He was very patience when it came to accommodating my family s needs! They worked on my car in a timely matter considering it was a big job! But the customer service is outstanding! Shop is clean! I had my transmission replaced at another shop and it started acting up just out of warranty. The other shop insisted I needed another transmission... Dave had his team troubleshoot the problem, gave me a fair quote and then came in under bid when the repair was done. Dave and his team have done excellent work on my 2003 Tacoma. My truck broke down on the side of the road after his shop closed, and he went out of his way to let the tow truck driver back the vehicle into his gated lot at around 7pm. He is direct, fairly priced, reasonable, and looks out for his customer's best interest. What I really appreciate is that he always picks up his phone, so even if you don't hear from him about how repairs are going, feel free to call him and he'll answer. Thought I had left a review of this shop, but guess not. Had them rebuild my 2003 Matrix manual transmission that failed at 60,000 miles (known issue). They worked with the extended warranty company and it was fully covered. When that rebuild crapped out (transmission defect, not the rebuild) I read online that the Matrix/Vibe 6-speed was a direct bolt-in. They said they would give it a try and let me know if there was any extra labor involved. Well, sure enough they installed it for the quoted price and it was done in a few days. This was 10 years ago, but it looks like the same guy still owns it, so I would still expect top notch service.

Beware after picking my car up, Dave left my hood open I did not notice for 2 days he put my life at risk, also when my Ins Co would not cover the cost he said to me:"I'm not making any money on this I through caring".He would not help me replace my windshield I had to get it done elsewhere. He made me feel like I was not worthy of care.With everything going on it is never a good idea to leave your hood open.Avoid this place like the plaque....I will never use this shop again period.Services: Auto windshield repair, Transmission replacement, Auto glass replacement

Called to arrange an oil change and was told I had to wait to hear back from someone who was on lunch at the time I called and that the person answering the phone couldn't look at their schedule, never got a call back. Called in a second time and was told I had to just bring the car by anytime, but not this week, had to do so when they weren't busy, but also that they couldn't tell me when a good time was to just bring it in while they weren't busy. I wanted to try this company but clearly they don't want customers and can't manage a calendar.

Direct, professional people; from the front desk to the owner. Fair prices, too! I have an enclosed transmission system which requires a specific tool just to drain and fill the fluid. They gave me a time estimate and kept to it! What's really nice is if all you need is a fluid change, it's kinda like a Great Clips... no appointment needed. But, I'd call to let them know you're bringing something in and what for... The only reason for 4 Stars is that the entryway is not marked as well as it could be, which leads to a little confusion. But, just pull into the fenced lot on the right and you're there

Took in my Mercedes SUV to get transmission service done. The quote was at least 20-25 percent cheaper than the dealer and the independent shops. This is the 2nd car I took in. My first was the first generation c class. Both times, my car drove as smooth as butter after the service. The location was a little out of my way but very worth it for the quality of service and savings. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get their transmission fluid changed or serviced.

I worked in their warehouse across the street and also for the transmission shop also for 18 years. They did work on my delivery van and on my personal vehicles also, I always thought them fair in their prices and products. I have sent friends and family to them for all our transmission needs, they're awesome......

Had a good experience with these guys, was referred to them for a tranny job by my mechanic. They are honest and fairly priced. Upon installing my transmission they even offered to install a couple suspension parts for no extra labor, just the cost of the parts.

fter a few weeks of misinformation and extravagant cost estimates to repair my transmission from Subaru of Pyallup, I called and talked to Dave about the situation I was experiencing. He informed me that my transmission COULD be rebuilt unlike what the Subaru service manager said and quoted my a price thousands less than was given to me by Subaru of Pyallup.Dave called me a few days later and asked me if the dealership had informed me that the transmission needed to be replaced, and when I told him yes he said "they were full of sh!t". He stated it was the transmission module that was bad and that the transmission was fine!!The work was done for around $11,000 less than I was told it would cost me at Subaru of Pyallup. If you have a transmission issue with ANY model car I would stonily suggest you give Dave a call before anyone else!!! He is a straight-shooter.

I called them twice to make a appointment for transmission service.. they said we will call you back nobody call me back and then i went to the place again to make a appointment they said we gonna close for Thanksgiving we will let you know what's the next available appointment after we back Thanksgiving but still i didn't heard anything from them.... terrible service i never wet back to that place

I had a very good experience with a transmission that went bad after 60,000 miles on a Toyota Matrix. This shop rebuilt it and we still drive the car two years later. I strongly recommend this shop and trust their expertise.

I would not take any of my vechicals to any other transmission shop! I bought a 50 year old antique car to Dave to fix or repair. Dave Ott found out that the transmission case was shot! Dave found another case and rebuilt that Transmission. Thats a miracle on it's own! Over 10 years later Transmission still works and shifts perfectly! I also have had several other transmissions rebuilt there. We now live in Oregon and if any of our vechicals ever have transmission problems I will ship them directly to Dave at Seatac Transmission! I recomend them highly!

Suggested to me by a mechanic to have my transmission replaced on my 04 WRX, and put new front axles in. First: they forgot to re-connect the hose on my power-steering. I went back and they fixed that. Now: about a year later: transmission output shaft seals are leaking. Plus an assortment of noises from the replaced axle areas.Solution: Always pay extra and go to Subaru specialist shop.

GREAT transmission shop. Dave is very honest, he will tell you exactly what does, and does not need to be done. Unlike many shops, who will just replace things unnecessarily.

Jason when you tell me to call you first thing at 8 wed morning an your not in yet . So we leave you a number to call which you don't use then we call back at 11am an your already at lunch. This is what poor customer service looks like.

I can not believe the treatment that I got from this owner Dave I had my transmission oil changed by another mechanic and my transmission light came on and they told me to take it to a transmission shop and I told Dave this and he said he didn't want to work on my car that's horrible customer service if u ask me
