Worst service ever. The perfect example on why mechanics have a bad reputation on scamming their customers with extra fees and charges. I took the vehicle to another shop and was quoted over half off. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. I learned my lesson and won t be back.UPDATE AFTER OWNER RESPONSE: calling your customer s reviews fake further proves that you don t care about customer service. Most apologize and want to learn on how they can improve. You didn t even try to do that. My review isn t fake and now the world can see just how valid my review is. I really do hope that your methods and attitude change towards your customers. They deserve better.

I can t say enough about Kent Auto. I own a local business, and making sure that our vans are always taken care of properly is always top priority for us. Kent Auto also realizes children will be in these vans and the crew always checks and triple checks for safety and reliability for us.I would recommend Kent Auto to anyone that needs any type of work on their vehicle. Their rate is always fair, and they always stand behind their work.

Kent Auto Repair was amazing! I walked in first thing of the morning needing a new water pump. They were able to fit me in that day, got not only the water pump installed, but a couple more items that were needing replacement. All done before 3 pm!! Outstanding service - I was kept up to date as the work progressed along.

My mom's car was in some trouble and needed the alternator replaced.That morning, made a phone call, a nice guy answered my questions regarding a quote for the price and availability for repairs, and had me me come in as soon as I could.They got Mom's car is back in working order and answered any questions I had about maintenance. Excellent service.

Refilled my AC condenser, took everything back out because there was a leak and then charged me $125. No progress made and took advantage of someone in need. Take your business elsewhere.

I have used the shop a few times and they are friendly and easy to work with. They are also honest, which can sometimes be hard to find. The cars run great.

KENT Auto Repair addressed my issue in a timely and knowledgeable fashion. I was dealing with an engine light and a couple of fault codes related to fuel injectors, plus some symptoms I thought might be a charging problem.

This shop is easy to miss, it is right across from Trader Joes. The staff was nice and quick, they weren't overly friendly but not mean or rude it's a mechanic shop not a hair salon. They were able to get me in the same day and ensure my car was drivable until the parts came in. The prices seemed fair especially for the speed of service. The dealer had me scheduled for weeks out just to look at it and I'm sure would've cost more.Services: Auto body & trim repair, Electrical repair

My conclusion from this experience is: they don't care about their customers so why would they care about your car? It's not their priority. If you want to take your car to a business like that, then you reap what you sow.The experience: The business promised to have $1800 repair done on a certain day and time in writing (text message): "The part will be here at 9:00am, vehicle will be done tomorrow." but failed to honor that promise, neglected to inform me that they were going to be late, and made no concessions on price, no apologies whatsoever. (The part arrived in time, so wasn't part late arrival.) I needed to take the car back that day due to my own work schedule. They still charged me $150+ for testing. And were rude on the phone, did not want to take ownership or any responsibilities whatsoever. Instead, they said on the phone: "things get busy sometimes...is there anything else?"Service: Exhaust

Quite rude on the phone, doesn't bother Introducing themselves and conducted there manner very disrespectfully.Was supposed to get contacted back for information yet have been left ignored. They don't care about you since they know they are "busy" so just know you might turn out to be one of the left overs.Auburn car repair & off-road with John is much better. And is quite cheap.

Don t expect your moneys worth!I got my AC system repaired, they replaced a relay and topped up my coolant levels. AC blew cold for two weeks.I took it back. Didn t even give me the time of day. If $180 for two weeks of AC sounds good to you then go for it. I ll personally work with more reputable mechanic with an actual sense of pride in their work.Edit: the owner has been kid enough to reply to my original comment, but has given several falsehoods. No UV black light was used to diagnose the leak in my AC system and no quote was delivered on the repair for my car. I don t know if it s a single hose that is leaking or a major part. I m not asking for free work, I m just asking for for some professionalism.

Easy to communicate, speed at work, you are welcome at any time, no need for appointments, courtesy and excellent dealing, completing the work within 30 minutes. Most importantly cheap wages compared to others I highly recommend it, experience is the best guide..

They got me right in and problem was taken care of in a couple days. They aren t open on weekends.I have a 09 Cadillac DTS which needed a valve cover gasket replaced.Charge for everything was a total of1,224.70.Year guarantee or 12,000 miles whichever comes first.Service: Transmission

This place was super helpful... my car had an electrical problem this morning and they got me in today. They figured out the problem, got me an estimate and fixed it. I had my car back by 3:30. My van wouldn't start. It had a new battery and I could hear the starter motor working. I had the van towed to Kent Auto Repair and once it arrived, the van started. They started the van several times. They drove it to warm it up and it still started. They checked out all the starting components and found nothing wrong. An intermittent failure can't be diagnosed until it fails again. I do not fault Kent Auto Repair for not finding out the problem. What I really liked about Kent Auto Repair was excellent communication. They answered all my questions.and I felt like they really cared about my situation.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I m restoring a 1991 LS400 the 1st Gen code name Flagship 1 or (F1), that started the LEXUS brand. I perform most of my vehicles repairs unless it requires a special service like A/C service, I contact a professional. I m very picky about who works on my car, I contracted Kent Auto Repair. They listened to my concerns and did a Great Job not only repairing my A/C, but noticed my Clutch Fan was part of the problem, causing the dual electric fans to work overtime, no other shop noticed. Went to Kent Auto as they are one of the few places that will do an A/C system evac & charge after a DIY'er has replaced all their own components (compressor seizure)...they didn't even require an appointment, just drop in. It didn't turn out to be that simple, though. After charging the system and checking press/temps, they determined that the variable orifice tube wasn't passing refrigerant. They recovered the refrigerant, disassembled the high pressure line, and found the variable orifice tube was installed backwards (d'oh!), and as a result had been forced beyond it's stop in the line. Required removal of line to get all pieces of the damaged VOT out. Cleaned and re-installed the line and a new orifice tube, recharged system, and voila' - working A/C! They also brought to my attention that my viscous fan clutch was weak...I changed that out later myself (no pressure to have it done there). All of this was done within about an hour and a half on a walk-in basis, while they had other business in the shop. Charge was more than reasonable given the amount of work that went into this 'simple charge'. Great service by knowledgeable professionals who go above and beyond to do right by the customer - Highly recommend Kent Auto Repair.Service: Air conditioning

Very personal and knowledgeable owner! He tracked down an difficult issue we had on our Chevy truck and fixed it. They also charged a very reasonable rate for the parts and work done. If our truck ever needs any other work and we are in the area we will definitely go back. I highly recommend them!

Exceptional service at a fair price. I called broken down and on a busy Saturday they managed to fit me in; they came and towed me, diagnosed the issue and repaired my car while I waited - even though they had plenty to do! They had a full lot when I arrived and people kept coming in while I was there. I think the fact they are so busy is a testiment in itself of the great job they do and the care they show their customers. If I need work on my car in the future, I'll definitely go back.

This place is the best. Went above and beyond to get our car in. Very professional and very nice staff. Car is running great and very satisfied. They are super honest about repairs that you need and very honest about the ones that you do not need. I would recommend anyone to make this their personal repair shop that you can trust . Very reasonable when it comes to pricing, hard to find a shop like this, trust me! Also got our car back quick.

stay away!!! they don't stand behind their work.......If they had a zero star rating they would get it. A/C was not cold when I bought the car. brought it to these guys who informed me it was a faulty seal and that for roughly $300 they could fix it. it was extra comforting because they said if it " starts blowing warm again this season, come back and we will fix it". so, I let them do the work. when I picked it up, sure enough ice cold A/C! I was very satisfied and thought I had found my new repair shop. but about 2 months later the A/C got warm again and the compressor was making a god awful sound. I said to myself no problem, I have their warranty. set up an appointment with them, but when I brought it in I was treated like crap. apparently because I had a problem with their repair? I was asked "how many days can we have the car?" I informed them I cant be without my car for days. especially because when I made the appointment they said they would be able to get me right in. they said they were very busy but they would try to look at it that day. A couple of hours later I get a call and they tell me that there is still refrigerant in the system so there was no problem with the repair that they previously did (surprise,suprise) they proceeded to quote me $1600 for parts and labor to fix the issue. I said no thanks. I took the car and drove straight to an A/C specialty shop where they informed not only was there no refrigerant in the system, but that the refrigerant has lubrication for the compressor and that the leak from the previous repair at kent auto caused the compressor to seize up and the rest of the system to be ultimately contaminated. long story short, I ended up having to buy a compressor, receiver/dryer and a condenser plus all of the labor which the A/C shop did for $1300. I would stay away from these guys. their prices are good, which was the attraction for me. but this is definitely one case where you get what you pay for. They are nice people when they don't have your business, but as soon as you pay and have an issue you're on the back burner.

Quick, Helpful EstimatesMy "check engine" light came on last week, so I took car to shop. As always when Ive needed repairs, Kent Auto called within just a couple hours with estimate. Michael explained my options clearly and helped me prioritize repairs I will need in near future. I appreciate Bryan and his team.
