I was thrilled to discover this auto shop! I have a Mini Cooper and as much as I love it, it is prone to needing work. The guys at Auto Werkstatt were friendly, knowledgeable, and fast! If you have a Mini, or other European car, I highly recommend John White and his team at Auto Werkstatt!!

They did an awesome job on my wife s 2016 Mini Cooper Clubman. Quality oil/filter and good price. Quality snacks and waiting room that you can also see your car through the window while the mechanic works on it. I ll be taking my vehicles here and will be recommending this place if my coworkers or friends have German vehicles. Thank you!

I brought in my 2001 BMW 330ci (154,000 miles) two weeks ago to have a complete rear differential reseal along with replacing my oil pan gasket. Auto Werkstatt also did a complete inspection and recommended putting in a water pump along with lower front suspension control arms (both left and right). Since it was my first time at Werkstatt i was a little skeptical about additional repairs, but once John and Payton showed me while my car was on a lift the leaky water pump and front end wear, I was glad that they had found these additional safety issues. There was no pressure from them to complete these additional repairs. I have owned this car since it was new and I plan to keep it for years to come. Rod, John and Payton were top notch and I would highly recommend anyone with a German car to access this shop.

After Seattle Mini told me they would only replace the transmission on my Mini Countryman, instead of just the failed valve, someone recommended this auto shop to me. Dropped the car off with them on March 8th and I had the car back on March 19th and everything was good. The car is driving great.Very professional and clean business, fair pricing and from my experience and what I have heard from many others they really do great work.I will be taking my car to them from now on even though they are a bit out of my way.

I live in Seattle and had my options of a lot of shops to do the work on my 2003 BMW 540i. The timing chain guides needed to be replaced (common failure on these cars) and I chose to take my car 21 miles out of the city to have the work done here. It s a very time consuming and expensive repair and requires a lot of knowledge and experience. I had 100% trust in John and his shop and he delivered. There was an issue with one of the parts after the work was done that we ordered (not his doing or his part, he had no way of knowing it was bad) and the part and the work were all warrantied and taken care of immediately. I brought the car back and John kept it until it was completely back to working order. John stands behind his work and guarantees anything that they do and kept me informed the whole way through.

Found this place when I was trying to escape from Seattle Mini dealership trying to scam me with unnecessary repairs. Rod, John and team are very honest and with integrity like every American should be unlike the Seattle mini dealership guys. Ban dealerships and bring direct to customer.

Took my Audi in to get diagnosed and got repairs done. They did a wonderful job. Absolutely no issues. Great communication. I highly recommend them if you have a german vehicle.

I had to tow my Mercedes to Kassel from Autowerkstatt in Kent where after telling them exactly what the issue was they still couldn t assess it; this while acting like theyd done a full diagnostic which they had not done. I eventually got a refund for that after making the owner admit they never actually did it. This was after he quoted 20 hours to do what Kassel eventually did in about 10 hours. You can trust Kassel s integrity and capability.

Great shop. Thought my Mini problem was going to be a big expensive issue, but they sorted me out within 24hrs and had the car fixed. It was half the cost I expected. I highly recommend them.

My regular mechanic was booked way too far out for me so I went looking for a place near to me and found John (the owner) at Auto Werkstatt German Car Repair. After reading reviews i gave it a go. Its been about two weeks since he did the work on my 2007 Audi A4 sline Avant and I am extremely satisfied with the new turbo and a maintenance issue with the high pressure fuel pump that is common with the 2.0 engines that I was unaware of but John was able to diagnose the problem and fix it.My first impression upon walking in... its a small shop (2 lifts) but what standed out to me was the cleanliness. To me that says a lot about a person.I believe his prices to be in par of other major repair shops but at Werkstatt you get a tech that knows his stuff and work that he stands behind.Their are more bad shops out there than good one's... Auto Werkstatt German Car Repair is one of the good one's.Can't say enough for John

Outstanding auto and customer service! John and team brought my VW back to life by identifying several issues and providing a no pressure service and repair plan with options at a great price. John provided thorough communications throughout the entire process and this was probably the first time I felt like I was not being told I needed a bunch of unnecessary repairs. I dropped my Audi Q5 off in the evening and it was ready for pickup the next day! Such quick service and every problem was fixed. I was very happy with the price as well. John works on my wife's car more than anything but he has finally worked on my vehicle. The shop does excellent work and he doesn't cut corners. We will continue to bring our vehicles to Auto Werkstatt plus the shop also sponsors my wife's Mini Cooper group. Auto Werkstatt is highly recommended by me and others.

I brought my BMW E70 X5 in for a diagnosis today, I was blown away with their attention to detail and thorough diagnosis to identify the issue. Then the team addressed the issue and provided detailed diagnosis on a separate issue, that needed attention. Double charged me in the work he already did months before and claimed that he didn't have it in the computer because they moved to a new location. But i told him I have a copy of the receipt and was surprised the first time he charged me $500.00 and then he charged me $430.00 for vanos solenoids. the second time when I told him that he already replaced it. I told him to refund the the 430.00 but he refused and said I will only give you $300.00. I went to the dealer and they checked if it has been changed and they said it has not. I will not be going back this repair shop again. My car is still having issues and it has cost me a lot of money going to this repair shop.

John was able to correctly diagnose and fix the low speed hesitation in my VW CC. He also fixed my water pump assembly and installed a new (and better) water pump and now my 2016 CC is running like new.Highly recommend- tell them phil sent ya!

It is great to have an independent mechanic that knows German cars. When I was having some issues with my 2008 BWM, they were able to get my alternator replaced, along with my oil change and battery registered. They took great care of me. I experienced quick and exceptional service. There was good communication on what was going to be done and I am very satisfied. Getting a quote quickly with the full breakdown through email was great!Services: Battery, Oil change

SO ITS AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP !! RITE ?!AM I SUPPOSED TO ENJOY GOING THERE BECAUSE THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE ARE PROFESSIONAL AND POLITE ?THEY REPLACED MY ENGINE FOR DOUBLE LESS THE THE OTHER GUYS INREDMONDTODAY , WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT ( DONT RECOMMEND IT ) I GOT IN JUST AS THEY OPENED , MINOR PROBLEM ,SENSOR REPLACEMENT AND AN OIL CHANGE ,OH !AND REPLACED THE TAIL LIGHT BULB .THEY FIXED IT NO PROBLEM PRICE ? I shopped around and found John. One of the few guys to call me right back with a quote over the phone and followed it up the a complete estimate. I had a big job, my 2011 BMW 328i needed a new engine. He just started his own business after working at Fife BMW for a decade, so I felt like he had the knowledge and expertise. During the job, he made some wise recommendations for the used engine (replacement of gaskets) while it was easy to work on. After he completed the job, the new engine developed a transmission leak. Even though the transmission was not part of the work. He had me bring the car back. Within 4hrs, he replaced a transmission seal for no charge! I ve previously owned an BMW Z3 and a Z4 and have had work done around different shops. John s work surpassed all of the previous shops and his price is more competitive. Although his shop is small and off the beat and path, it s better described as a diamond in the rough, or boutique European Garage. I know he can do the most complicated job, so I m confident that he will be doing my next oil change service work. John was absolutely amazing. Not only did he ask many questions about the situation when I got there, but he also got the car up and di what any quality mechanic would do. Inspect the job before going into it. His knowledge towards vehicles isn't comparable to others. John definitely knows his stuff. He was also very kind enough to do a quick glance over of my Mini Cooper and proceeded to point out things that have been missed or not noticed. Not I have a list of what needs to be done with my vehicle in order to keep it running the way it is or better. Hands down the best mechanic for German vehicles I have ever been to. John and his crew are incredible. I had a cylinder 1 misfire on my VW Jetta and needed a fix from someone I could trust. John was able to find me a used engine at a reasonable price, and touch up the car with additional updates all in a two week turn around. Price was more affordable then mainstream dealer. Dealer couldn t get me in for 3 weeks! Go to Auto Werkstatt if you are in the Renton area and drive German auto!

I am so excited that I found John White to work on my older Mercedes C320 he has kept it running and saved me a lot of money! I ve had other shops tell me I need thousands of dollars worth of work and I had John look at my car and eliminate over half of what I was told needed to be done!John dose excellent work and stands behind it, he is honest, courteous and very trustworthy.
