It's because I know Leo that I'm comfortable with driving my 20-year old car. Whenever there's a (potential) problem, I can say with confidence "don't worry, I know a guy."Leo is the honest, hard-working auto mechanic who I go to for all my car needs. He'll let me know what's wrong, what needs immediate work, what can be put off till when, why, and how I can save my car and money. It's in good part thanks to him and his lovely wife that I got through a rough 2023. Thanks again Leo!

Great knowledgeable, personable, honest, reliable,sincere caring mechanic.Many things we appreciate . A really good mechanic is one them. And Leo auto repair shop is the one to appreciate to know ,and to have in the east sideYou can easily put your trust in this shop to fix your car troubles. Leo is the man .he will make sure your car issues will be diagnosed correctly, and fixed correctly, at a reasonable price.When you are on the east side, and presumably everything here is supposed to be more expensive, and cost alot more than other areas, Leo auto repair shop stands out as a customer friend by keeping his good repairs at a very reasonable rate. His prices are not cheap, but are reasonable.Carolina is the manager ,and she runs the shop, the office, and the business very efficiently, and effectively. It is a family business. She keep clients will informed of the progress ,and she controls the quality, the timing, the pricing, parts ordering,scheduling, customers service,and relation, plus alot more..Between Both of them,and with both of them working at the shop you will feel your car is in good hands, and you can leave all your worries far behind.They give clear upfront pricing,and estimate of costs,and time,subject to other issues found during the repairs,or diagnoseThey have nice big parking lot, their location is excellent, and easily accessible, and on bus route Bus 225This mechanic shop is a true good no nonsense, mechanic.When you are in the east side, and you think of auto repair then only think Leo.Unless you have AAA then you can tow your car hereThey work on Domestic, and Japanese vehiclesThey use OEM parts which is more expensive, but they are more reliable ,and we appreciate that.If there are more than 5 stars this shop would easily get it,and earned it.I want other car owners to know about Leo mechanic shop, so they can benefitThat's my reason for this review

I recently visited Leo's Auto Repair for the first time and must say had a fantastic experience. Leo's is a small family run shop and simply a neighborhood gem in Kenmore. I have always taken our car to the dealership for any maintenance, and this was the first time I was going to an independent shop. Reading Leo's other reviews, I had a good feeling about his shop.I made an appointment and dropped the car off in the morning. I was given an estimate then, and mid-day got an update call on the status of repairs with an estimate update, which was close to the original. By the end of the day, the car was ready and I was able to pick it up. Leo did a fantastic job addressing all the issues. My repair total was very reasonable and I knew had I gone to the dealership, I would have paid much more! Leo is one of those rare honest and trustworthy mechanics that's worth his weight in gold (sadly for him, he's a slim, fit guy!) I have no issues recommending his shop to anybody and am looking forward to my next visit.Like all my other reviews, no consideration or benefit was given by Leo's or anyone else for writing this review.

Leo's Auto Repair is a true gem. I bring my car here for both routine maintenance and when my older car starts making mysterious noises. Leo is talented and thorough and gets to the bottom of what's going on and they do it quickly! Carolina is kind and communicative which I appreciate because car problems can be stressful. She keeps me informed of the status and patiently answers all of my questions. The fees are super reasonable - much lower than what it would be at a dealer - and especially given the attention and care with which they approach each car. Feeling comfortable on the road - priceless. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Leo is an amazing mechanic! He will troubleshoot a problem until it is solved and fixed - even when the big name shops can't (or won't) find the problem. He and Carolina have highest integrity and are great to work with! We've been taking our vehicles to Leo for several years - my only regret? I took this long to write a review.

Brought my classic, original owner, 1988 Toyota truck in for oil change and air filter, as well as a clutch quote. Leo did great work! Also took photos of the truck, including underneath, because I was putting the truck up for sale. Very pleasant and professional.

Leo was incredibly kind and generous with his time. He s very knowledgeable and cares more about trying to solve the issue rather than trying to squeeze some for every last penny they can get.The receptionist was also very pleasant to talk to and did an amazing job.I will always go to Leo and his team first over anyone else!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

They have been so helpful an honest. They don t recommend unnecessary work and give me their honest opinion. I am glad I found them after the dealership tried to get me to trade in my perfectly good car. It s still running fine 3 years later and 120K+ miles! Thanks Leo!

I had a great experience taking my car to Leo's for my front and rear brake pads/rotors. They're very professional, fair and fast. They communicated very well and ordered all the parts prior to my appointment so they could have it done same day. As it turned out they were able to resurface the rotors dropping the price well below the quote.I'll definitely be going back to Leo's for future work.

I called 3 places after my car broke down on the road. The first 2 said later this week and next week to be able to even look at it. Leo didn t hesitate ! They said bring it in and diagnosed and fixed the problem, were super helpful, fast, and cost effective. If you need a service or any work done come here. Even my tow truck driver said he brings his personal vehicles to Leo. Thank you again Leo and company! I appreciate you more than you know. They changed my oil and fixed the plastic under my car that was falling apart. Same day.

Leo's garage is close to my house and I went to have my oil changed and the lady said sure, come here in an hour we'll squeeze you in. They did the oil change at a reasonable price and mentioned a problem on my tire which I didn't know and immediately I had fixed. Great service

I discovered Leo s in 2020 and have been taking my Ford Escape here ever since. Customer service and hearing exactly what was repaired by the mechanic versus the service manager at a dealership is so refreshing! Carolina & Leo are a great duo! Best of all, I know my car is safe after repairs because I know Leo looks at the bigger picture.

Leo has serviced both of my cars and has been very flexible on scheduling the repairs, with some of them being urgent. He has had a solution for all my needs as well as great pricing. Other shops have given me the run around and like to hold my cars for long periods of time. When I bring my car to Leo's he gets it in and out so I can be back on the road.Another thing I like about Leo's Auto Repair is that he fixes what needs to be fixed and let's you know about things that could be an issue in the future. I didn't feel like I was at a used care dealer.Located in Kenmore, it is quite the drive from where I live but it is worth it. Customer service is great as well. When there is a change of plan or when my vehicle's are done Carolina always contacts me with the details.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Engine repair, Brakes, Auto interior vacuuming, Battery, Oil change

Great auto shop. You will have no regrets using Leo s services. The mechanics at this shop are thorough! As a person unfamiliar with the mechanics of cars when I have a service performed at this shop I appreciate the time the mechanic takes to show me the root issue. Showing me the difference between the new and old equipment that they install.The quality and strength of the parts they purchased to repair the trunk of my car was very impressive and reasonably priced. Much less expensive than the quote I had received from the dealership. The reception into the auto shop is welcoming. Often times auto shops can feel overbooked, it appears that this shop is good at providing quality services versus having a large volume of service. Hope they consider getting AAA Certified, exceptional customer service relaxes me. This shop has handled my car servicing with great care, and ease.It is owned buy a couple and they have two kids that are very well behaved and smart! This is a great place to bring your car it is the best place that we have found by far!! The couple that own it are friendly, professional and honest. Leo takes his time to explain what is wrong with your car and will even show you different parts that are broken and will then go on to go over what can be done to fix it. Having had horrible experiences with mechanics in the past and going to the dealership where you feel like you are being robbed by their prices it is refreshing and a delight to know that there are people like Leo and his wife who operate a shop that is trustworthy and fair and they do an OUTSTANDING job. I will be bringing my car back to Leo for anything that it needs in the future and will refer everyone I know to do the same.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery, Oil change

I brought a car I was interested in to Leo's for a pre-purchase inspection, and I'm glad I did! They were able to get me in relatively quickly for the inspection and had it done within an hour. The two mechanics and the receptuon lady I spoke to there were honest, professional and straightforward. This business saved me from making a 4 thousand dollar mistake on a Subaru! Their inspection was thorough, and they informed me of everything that was wrong with the vehicle along with a rough estimate for repairs, just like I had asked for. They did not try to coerce me into having repairs done at their shop either. This is a good business! Good mechanics are hard to find!

Took a vehicle here for a pre-purchase inspection. Carolina provided awesome service. She fit me in last minute and was kind to me the whole time. They gave me really helpful feedback about the state of the car and their price was amazing. I can't recommend them enough. If I lived in the area I would go to them for my routine services! Thanks again Carolina and Leo--I wouldn't have this car in my garage right now if it wasn't for you!

I was impressed by the honest inspection & professional treatment I received at Leo's Auto repair, and if you're in the market for a trustworthy mechanic it would definitely be worth paying them a visit. I've been stuck on what to do about a vehicle that's been in the family for a decade+ and debating what to do (fix it & drive it to the ground, sell it, go on a long-distance trip prior to selling it etc), partially bc I've had a series of bad experiences with mechanics (dishonestly recommending things that were either not needed at all or did not make sense given vehicle's age, upselling etc) in the past and haven't found someone that at least on gut-level feels trustworthy/whose assessment I feel I can rely on since I moved. But at Leo's Auto Repair I feel I received respectful, professional, and honest treatment and service, and a candid assessment of my vehicle. On my initial call, Carolina took time to explain what would be performed in the inspection & answer my questions in a kind, informative way - which I appreciated. Then, when I brought my vehicle in, I met Leo and he listened closely & patiently to what I needed from the inspection, didn't laugh at my beloved-if-beaten Subaru, and also flexibly gave me a time window for the inspection (as I preferred to walk in a nearby park & wait for the service to be completed rather than go home) which he was able to complete within 15 min of his estimate. When I returned, I was specially impressed that a) that Leo was able to pick up on something no one in the past had regarding the rear brake hoses, while at the same time also not recommending more work than necessary (ex: replace rear break pads and rotors rather than doubling the price by recommending all breaks/rotors be replaced at the same time). I felt Leo was trying to honestly & directly point out what he discovered and give his candid assessment - no games or gimmicks. Both Carolina and Leo took the time to speak to me & in a detailed way explain what they felt would be deal-breakers: expensive repairs upcoming that basically would not be worth the current value of vehicle, and mechanical/physical concerns that would impact the car's longevity odds regardless of interventions like replacement/repairs/upkeep etc (note: salt on roads aren't kind to cars). I appreciated that - even if for them the decision of what to do may have been a no-brainer - they didn't trivialize my confusion or my vehicle, but took time to explain to me its overall condition & the cons of trying to keep it, keeping not only the issue of economics but also basic safety in mind. Because I hoped/debated on keeping the vehicle for a few more months (past this 'inflationary' period of buying/selling used vehicles) or maybe take it down on a last long trip, they also took the time to give me their opinions/assessments on the matter, addressing some of my fears/concerns (including tactfully disabusing me of some of my notions) but also sharing what to expect from their professional point of view (from a basic safety, fear of theft/loss of property, new vehicle recommendations, or buying process point of view).It makes sense to get an inspection when buying or selling a vehicle for honesty of assessment, and the same can be said for finding a mechanic. I feel Leo and Carolina's treatment of my vehicle and myself to have been fair, honest, candid, realistic, respectful, professional - and I walked away with more insight/education and a mechanic shop whose expertise I can rely/trust on in the future for future assessments and/or repairs. I recommend them as a couple building a family business in a hard climate but working in an honest way to provide value and help their clients achieve the right & needed solutions - all with a great deal of patience, professionalism, communication and respect.

I have used Leo's on several different occasions for a variety of needs for 2 different vehicles. Leo does excellent work for a fair price. And the shop is clean and neat. Most importantly they are extraordinarily trustworthy. I highly recommend having your car serviced there. Support a local business with the confidence of knowing they will do the job right. They opened up early this year and we all know about what Covid has done to even established business's ....let alone new ones just starting out. Trust me and give them a chance to earn your business. They earned mine. An example of the integrity of this car repair. Took my Honda Element for service. The latch to the hood did not work properly prior to me taking in there and i forgot to tell them the "trick" to getting the hood open. When he went to open the hood Leo accidentally broke the mechanism.Without asking or haggling Leo ordered the part replaced it for free and even gave a free oil change. Amazing mechanic! My car had been breaking down several times last year. I took it to different mechanics and none could solve it. Leo was able to solve all the issues at a reasonable price. He is detailed oriented, efficient and very honest. Great communication with the customer throughout the whole process. 100% recommended!!!

Finding an honest, competent, and personable mechanic seems near impossible. However, I just had an inspection done for a potential buyer of my car. What a pleasant experience. Leo is super personal and obviously very knowledgeable. I will be using Leo s Auto Repair for all future servicing and repairs on my vehicles.

Its unnerving to find an honest, reliable and friendly auto repair shop. Call me an auto shop phobic, but since switching to Leo's all those fears have vanquished. Their service (Carolina & Leo) is super friendly and workmanship is superb. My wife and I love and trust Leo's Auto Repair and will continue to take our car there for any sort of service that it needs. We highly suggest this auto repair and service shop to others in the neighborhood. And, Leo's is the easiest and best way to support local business.

Leo is a superb mechanic and very personable. He does excellent diagnoses of problems and charges a fair price. Carolina does a great job of running the office. I went to Leo's shop to repair my chassis, he finished the work very fast and the price is very reasonable, only 1/3 of other shops I quoted. Will definitely visit again for oil changes and other mechanic repairs.

I had a fantastic experience at Leo's. My car would intermittently not start. I called them and they were willing to send someone out to my home to check it and figure out a way to get it over there.I decided to replace the battery on my own first. This helped to get it going again but I wanted to get it inspected in case the starter or alternator was having trouble.They were willing to check it out and actually brought me into the garage while they tested it. They showed me what they were doing and explained their thought process while checking it out. Everything looked good on their end but they gave me recommendations on how to problem solve on my own if it ends up being the starter.I decided to get my oil changed there since it was due anyway. When it was done they showed me some things that they recommended getting done but didnt pressure me on getting it done at that moment. They just wanted me to be aware of some other things that might cause problems later so I am prepared.I have never felt part of the process when having a mechanic work on my vehicles. I highly recommend Leo's if you want to have peace of mind when getting your cars worked on.
