Travel 100 miles a day to and from work and had some worrisome brake issues but not time to be without my vehicle. Staff was clear on issues, pricing was great, time in shop really efficient and fast. Life savers 100%. So grateful.

Took our 2012 Chevy Equinox in for noise in front end when braking. They diagnosed and later replaced both front wheel hub assemblies... $954. Next day when we drove the car, same noise we had before. Instead of taking it back to them and getting more work done, months later had my father, who was a master mechanic for 30 years, look at it. He found a warped brake rotor and front tire with a broken belt. He replaced the brake rotor & replaced the tire. Noise gone!Poor diagnosing at this shop who has been in the business for decades. I expected way better.

I had a part fall off my car from a poor job done at different shop, and they took my car in and fixed it the same day. Great customer service and they made sure I knew exactly what was going on with my car! Great shop and greater mechanics!

These guys are the best in automotive service. After doing such a great job on my wife's Expedition that now handle's like new they didn't even went the extra mile on my 08 f450 Firestone diagnosed it twice and wanted to replace the whole a/c system for 2500. These guys found it was a broken wire plug tab. They found one at wrecking yard and replaced for 500. And made sure it's working correctly. Above my expectations Thank you so much!Great family automotive repair at a fair price!

I submitted my vehicle for an oil change and two (intermediate) repairs. It took 8 hours for them to do an oil change, (*lie incoming*) tell me that my ONE headlight would cost me --$$900-- OR MORE to fix the wiring issue, and tell me my window needed a part. I picked my car up while the part for my window was ordered, and found that my hood release no longer works. I was told that it's not their fault, and it's at my cost to repair it. 'OK whatever I'll run a cable myself, parts already ordered thats dumb though'. I return, and pick up the car once the part for the window comes in and has been installed, and discover 3 sizeable gashes in the tint (and possibly glass) window. I physically brought it to their attention and without struggle they complimented an appointment at a company an hour away from my home to retint the window which I have to take time out of my schedule to attend. Essentially my car came back to me with just as many things wrong with it as I dropped it off with. Headlight that still doesn't work, my hood release is broken, and my $200 tint messed up. Use your own discretion.Edit: The mere fact that they're now lying and denying the damage they've done to my car to try to make themselves look better says everything. I was given one option by Trenton at the front desk, OUT OF TOWN for having their damage repaired. After I left this review letting everyone know EXACTLY what happened, not slamming the company or anything, this man called me and told me he was no longer going to pay for the damages he was responsible for.

The good people at Sorensen's Automotive put on a clinic on why you should always consider local small business when possible. The staff from the front office, the technicians, and the owner were all patient, kind, caring, and most importantly they are doing the job right. They offer a complete diagnostic for a reasonable fee and will provide you a *detailed* estimate before starting repairs. No surprises here. Strongly recommend you give these folks your business before considering 'bigger' shops elsewhere.Service: Engine repair

My Family and I have been taking our cars here since 1975. Honest and truthful shop. It's about doing right not gouging the customer. Have taken my car here and said fix everything you can for under 1000...had then come back with 150 bucks worth of needed fixes, other places it would have been 985 bucks. Friends have taken cars here on my recommendation as they didn't trust anyone for them to tow to dealship free of charge as it was under warranty for that issue. Brent has carried on his father's good name, with his son doing the same. If they screw up they fix it free of charge. They stand by their work. They have kept the Pierce County Red '97 Supra in mint condition for 25 years. Can't possibly recommend them enough.

I recently got a 'new to me' vehicle which did not run and had been sitting for a number of years. After determining I was in over my head I called these folks as I have a long association with the towing company through my work. The repair shop set up the tow for me and called me as soon as they had my vehicle. Within a few hours I got a call with details for repairs am an estimate. Everything was done very quickly and I was made to feel very appreciated in spite of my calling several times with questions and checking on progress. I was well informed every step of the way and am very satisfied with the service I received. It has been about 3 weeks since my initial visit and after noticing an issue last night, I came to the shop this morning to have it looked at. An o-ring seal had failed and caused some fuel to leak. I assume this was covered by warranty for my prior repair as I was not charged for this follow-up fix. Paying a mechanic to work on your car may not be cheap, but finding a mechanic that knows their business and treats customers like these guys do, is priceless. Great job to the whole team! You've got my business, and to anyone reading this, Sorensen's is worth every penny.

These guys are the best. I asked to have both pinions replaced because I thought both were leaking. (old brain) Well they called and told me only one was leaking. They could have just replaced both and charged me for it but they didn't. Very honest outfit. I have taken my vehicle there a few times and always nice people to deal with.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Shady business!!!! June 2021 I brought my 2010 Denali in and was told the motor needed to be rebuilt. Misfire in cylinder 1. Was quoted $9053 Decided to move forward with the process. Didn t get my vehicle back until November. Hardly any communication what so ever.they claimed it need custom pistons. When I got it back the original issue was NOT FIXED and it sounds like a Diesel after a fresh rebuild and custom pistons. Took it back they charged me another $700 for a new throttle body to fix a high reving issue. The throttle body replacement did fix that. Got it back And my Denali still sounds like a diesel! I called to have this issue fixed and was told I don t have a Warranty (WHICH I DO) that s there s not an issue with my vehicle and then I was hung up by Tim their master mechanic because Brent was on vacation again (like usual) They are parts installers and that s it. Be careful tho they may dent up your hood and disrespect your vehicle like they did mine. They literally don t care about the job they do for you. Go to graham automotive!!! Oh and I still have a oil pressure that reads 10-18 psi and GM states that it should be at 25 psiHORRIBLE BUSINESS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE HORRIBLE NO GOOD PEOPLE!!Service: Engine repair

They didn t even do a diagnostic test before working on my 2012 Hyundai Accent, they went off the word of someone who wasn t even a mechanic. Assumed it was my timing chain causing the misfire. So they put a new one in and it wasn t even the problem with the car. After they put the timing chain on they than did a diagnostic test and it turned out it was a fouled out spark plug. So what was a 7-8 dollar fix they charged me $1200 for a timing chain I didn t even need.Service: Auto maintenance

Had overheating problems the night before with my Chevy Express van as I was headed to work. Called them 1st thing next morning. They told me to bring it in as soon as I could to diagnose. Brought it in right away & dropped it off at 9am. They had it completed & ready for pickup at 2:30 same day! Very professional & nice clean shop. Will use again for any other auto problems. Thx guys!

My car had stuttering issues when my car idled and when it was going at highway speeds. The scary part is that my check engine light started to flash on and off!A mechanic in Seattle claimed I needed to replace the whole engine because antifreeze was getting into the spark plugs (that is over $2,000 for my 1997 Honda Civic!). This was said because of a bit of green residual on the spark plugs he noticed, he claimed. (I look at my photos of my spark plugs and I honestly doubt that mechanic's claims of green antifreeze being on the plugs. There may be a touch of green, but I see brown and gray.) Well, reader, this is when it is good to seek a second "opinion." I needed the true issue, not opinion, and I needed to watch out for if that mechanic inserted green fluid to fake me out.My dad advised me to go to this garage. I traveled all the way from Seattle and the rough neighborhood to have my Honda checked out and possibly fixed. Somebody was able to understand the check engine light and fix the issue, and God was guiding me.The front desk lady asked about the issue and what happens. I described the stuttering. I also described how I spilled antifreeze into the throttle chamber, for it is wise to describe actions I did to my car. (My spill may be why the Seattle mechanic claimed what he did, I do not know.) I also mentioned that the stuttering started after I filled up my tank with some cheap Safeway fuel. The point? Mention what may be of concern, for this shop writes notes about what you have done and seen and heard. The inspection for the check engine light finished on the same day, and they fixed the issue. It was something to do with the ignition cap.Steven, a worker, drove the car around and checked that the repair worked. Once confirmed, I shortly received the car again and found the check engine light to be off. No stuttering. Awesome. Thank Jesus!A disclaimer: My uncle owns this shop.See attached photo of spark plugs. How green are they to you? There was some antifreeze spilled into the throttle chamber by myself, after all.

Nice people, had a tune up done. Cylinder had a misfire about two weeks later. Found that the spark plug in cylinder 8 had no gap. It looked to have dropped or hit something upon installation. I called, the person I talked said it would have misfired the whole time and that something in my engine must have caused it. I changed the plug and have had any issues. I also took my truck to a local shop to have the motor inspected and no issues were found. They did give me the number for customer service though.

I had to have my car towed to Sorensen with unknown issues as it died on me while driving. I got there at 0740 doors don't open until 0830 but they opened early, took my information and informed me they had cars ahead of me but would call in the afternoon with what they found. They called later and informed me of one thing but stated that was just the diagnostic and that they have the part ordered but it won't be in until the next day. The next day they called and said that after getting a chance to actually look into the motor they found that it was my timing belt. They explained the process and that they would call when complete. They called later in the day and said they have the car running but not to where they want and that they would like to keep it until they get it to their satisfaction. I explained that I was borrowing my folks car and they informed me that they had a loaner car that I could use. They later called and said it was complete and I was able to get my car. While I didn't get to shop around and do a price I am very pleased with the total out the door compared with the amount of work they did in all. I will bring my car back for routine maintenance and any other issues that may arise. I am beyond pleased with the service all around

Do not take your car here!My car was previously in the shop here and it turns out they did not connect the duel climate control valve I had them instal. This led to my car overheating. I had a clunking coming from my suspension, I brought my car in and said It was having overheating problems and that I suspected my tie rods were bad.I was told my struts are bad and need to be replaced. This with a clockspring, brake light switch, and window regulator would set me back $1,095. They initially tried to charge me to reconnect the DCCV they installed. I wasn t thrilled with the price of the other work but said ok. I was called after almost two weeks and told ok your car is ready. It s not overheating and the clunking is gone . I came and picked up my car. Not even 1 mile later my car overheated and the clunking was still there and now my car was leaking coolant from a cracked thermostat housing.I called and they said no problem we ll fix it . They denied cracking the thermostat housing. They replaced two bushings under the car and still charged me for the parts. I was told the tie rods are good, you need new wheel bearings and to replace the thermostat housing. We have to take off the intake to get to it so it s going to run you another $1000 . I picked up my car. The clunking was gone but I was done giving them money.I replaced the thermostat housing, without having to take off the intake. I m also not a mechanic. I replaced the wheel bearings and discovered my tie rods were bad.Summary: these guys are professional part changers not mechanics. They ll charge you and replace things that don t need it and break things then deny it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR OR TRUCK HERE.

I use to take my car there but not any longer. I turned them over to the better business bureau for not making a mistake right and causing me to purchase a 300.00 part that they knew I didn't need. I've given them ample opportunity to make it right and they ignore my calls. And it's been over 2 months of trying to get then to make right I misdiagnosis that even the chevy dealership in parkland wash refused to help them with.

If you have EVER had a bad experience with a shady mechanic, Please give this place your business!!! They have changed my mind about the whole industry. My daughter's car wouldn't start, they arrived in 30 minutes and towed the car to the shop and returned it the next day, running better than it ever has. These people are courteous, efficient, and honest. Thank you!

I've been looking for a shop to be my go to, for my vehicle maintenance, and any other work that may need to be done. I went to Sorensen's because it's a small local business. I met the owner, who was a nice guy, but that is about the extent of the positives. I had them do my 40k service on my 2011 durango. I was told ahead of time that they check all the fluids, inspect the brakes, and air filter, along with other things that are done on the services. He told me afterward that he didn't inspect the brakes, and didn't check the air filter because, "it's just a pain in the ass to get to." That's the moment I knew I would never take a vehicle there again. I check the air filter myself, it's very easy. I feel he was being lazy.

Please forgive me for the late rating. I called Sorenson's after making a couple other calls concerning a 60,000 miles maintenance for my 2009 Hyundai Sonota. The dealership wanted to charge me between 600 and 700. Another place I called estimated 400 to 600. Even after telling them I just bought the car in July with 53,000 miles from a reputable dealer. I called Sorenson and I was told they would do the recommended inspection for 90 plus taxes. So when I took it in they did what they said. There were not any surprises that came up. They told me I only needed a filter. Everything else like the transmission flush, radiator flush, air filter, brake fluid were clean. The dealership had taken care of everything before we bought the car. So they filled out my paperwork which detailed everything. I was ecstatic as well as my husband with their customer service and professionalism, I would highly recommend them or go back myself.

They are actually honest mechanics! This is the only shop Ive been to that did exactly what I paid them to do and didnt try to sucker me in to getting more work done on my car. They are so different from the average mechanic shop, in a good way. I do most of my own car maintenance and have dealt with almost every mechanic shop in the area during my lifetime, and these guys are HANDS DOWN the best. They dont try to cheat you if you're female, like most automotive shops do. They are so good I felt the need to put my first review on the internet. Also, very comfy couches and friendly service.

In for the third time for regular interval service. As on prior visits, work done very competently, at a reasonable price and completed at the estimated time. Their inspection found an issue which saved me a future concern. They are a five star business in my estimation.
