Great helpful people and far more than auto parts. Just what you need in a small town 45 min away from anywhere! I have been able to get motorcycle batteries, Argon for my tig welder, brass fittings for my forge, trailer parts and other random things that I figured I would have to go to The Dalles or Portland and waste a day or a week from an online purchase. Thank you Carquest for keeping those not so everyday items in stock. My go to place for auto and random hardware "boy I hope they have it" items.

Carquest Auto Parts - CARQUEST OF GOLDENDALE is a locally owned and operated auto parts store that has served the Goldendale community for many years. I received outstanding customer service from the staff. They were knowledgeable and willing to help me with my situation.I was on my way to Crater Lake for a photo shoot when the alternator in my truck failed. I stopped at Carquest in Goldendale to try and find a replacement. Fortunately, they had the part in stock and provided me with all the assistance needed to make the necessary repairs and continue my journey. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Goldendale Carquest for their help.Thank you so much!

Rolled in there with a car that I'd only had for a week and they were more than happy to throw it on the machine see why the engine light was on and quickly got me the supplies I needed to fix my dilemma. Outstanding couple of employees you had that day! Both very happy to help locate the items I needed in a prompt and friendly manner. Anybody that says working in a parts store is easy needs to do it it is not an easy thing to do and for someone to show that much customer service and go out of their way by stepping away from the counter to help me find what I needed definitely needs a raise.

The kind and smart people at Carquest have saved me hundreds of dollars that I would have spent at the mechanics. They will change bulbs, batteries, wipers, fuses, some filters and easy to get to parts for free when you buy the part from them. Prices are reasonable, too. They are incredibly friendly and helpful. I can not say enough good about them and they also love animals. Wonderful customer service!

Blown water pump hose in Biggs Junction Oregon on truck pulling travel trailer. Called CarQuest in Goldendale (13 miles away) for part less than a half hour before closing time. Matt Griffin found the correct part in stock and since I had no way to pick up the part, volunteered to bring the part to me (on his own time and in his own vehicle). Bless him for arriving at my disabled vehicle within 40 minutes with the part, and stayed with me until it was installed and the truck was working again. This young man is a great example of kindness, consideration, willingness to help a stranger in need and being a man of honor and integrity. I don t know what we would ve done if Matt had not rescued us. Thank you for being a true neighbor Matt! CarQuest should recognize and be thankful to have an employee like Matt!

A departure from what their website says they provide at that location or have in stock generally limiting your variety of choices down to 1 version of what your looking for even if the website says 5 different versions.Update: It has become clear recently that what they doatthis Carquest location is to assume that you haven't looked at their website before coming into the store to purchase or orders part and don't know that there is a cheap version of said part that they just skip over and present the next more expensive version as being THE part. Then when you order it they don't bother to let you know that your part has come in and when you go into check and pay for your part, they quote you the price for the next, even more expensive version once again and when you try to discuss the issue and get what you came for they yell at you and 86 you from the store. No such trouble at other Carquest locations other than in general their online ordering has a few little land mines that generally prevent a person from purchasing/ shipping the way the website says you can and leading a person to have to call or visit the store to order parts and setting a person up for that "bait and switch" tactic that I mentioned earlier. Goldendale is a small community and price gouging their naighbors when people are struggling to make ends meet is an awful thing for Carquest/Advance Auto Parts to do to their neighbors, friends and family. Just rotten. I buy there all the time but no more. They have permanently lost this customer.

Good service and friendly, they have put my wipers on no charge and charged my battery no charge too. They run sales and prices aren't bad for a small town. I useally perfer doing business there!

They carry not only auto parts but tractor parts, welding supplies, and can get most anything, they are a little higher priced but it's a small town so for the level of service and availability of parts it's worth it. Lower prices come with volume and you don't have the volume in a small town.

Best local option for chainsaw bar oil, the Itasca. It's lower viscosity which is perfect for winter usage. Otherwise, Nice folks. Thanks
