Shinee was was very friendly and professional. She was patient and made sure she understood the issues I was concerned with. The Galloping Gerties service was excellent as well. I am happy with the results and would recommend them without hesitation.

Galloping Gerties Garage was simply awesome! When my sins vehicle unexpectedly died, they were able to receive it at their shop the following day, and able to get diagnostic tests done within 1 business day. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!

Damian and the technicians at Gerties Garage are excellent. Had my Land Rover in for a leaky water pump which was diagnosed and fixed quickly and at a fair price. Additionally, Damian went through the entire vehicle and created a customized maintenance plan at no additional charge. Unlike most shops that 'fix and forget' I received a call from Damian a few days after the repair to check up on my vehicle. A check engine light had come on after the service and Damian and team promptly took the truck back in and went through everything to ensure it there was nothing wrong. In my long history of owning and servicing European vehicles (both at the dealer and independent shops) I can honestly say I've never experienced this level of service before. If you own a European car and want 'above and beyond' service, give them a call. I've now had 2 different Mini's serviced there.Their service includes a very nice, thorough inspection report via email, willing to explain in more detail any items on the report. At the same time not pressuring to perform suggested services not desired to do at this time.They were also able to find and resolve a challenging intermittent power loss problem that several other mechanics charged to "fix" without actually resolving the problem. They have good follow up for future service and remembering previous service done there.

Brought my Honda S2000 in for a over all check-up and go throughout inspection, it had been sitting for awhile. Missed my first appointment but Damian was awesome getting me in again. Got a list of things needed and we went over the most important ones first. We also now have a game plan for the rest, since the S is now garaged for the winter. Matt who did all the work on the S was amazing and went over any questions I had. Thanks guys for an awesome job!!

After a near miss in a tight corner when my brake pedal would not work, I called Galloping Gertie s from the side of the road in an unknown area and they took me in immediately.Not once did they blink an eye at my situation or needs. They assisted with procuring a rental car (in a time when none were available) and helped me get food while I waited!The plan for diagnosing was clearly explained to me, after they listened to my experience with my Mini.I live 2-3 hours away but will gladly drive here for future car needs. Damien and Joey get what customer service means and they helped ease an otherwise stressful day! When you need an expert, someone who really knows what they're doing, this is the place. I had a very challenging project, a 1976 MG-B that I bought on eBay years ago, that had not run for the last four years. Totally custom with Ford small block V8 crammed under the hood, leaving almost no room to work. A rats nest of custom wiring. Holley double pumper carb that needed cleaning and tuning. AFR heads. Not your run-of-the-mill euro car.Damian got it running again in just a few hours. He is so friendly and knowledgeable. He is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Any ordinary mechanic would have spent at least three times as much time working on it, ending up charging a lot more. I know, I built a lot of the car myself. So happy. And she now purrs like a kitten. A 350 horsepower 2000 pound kitten... Thanks, Damian!!!

Damian and his crew (Nick+) really stepped up to the challenge of fixing "Christine!" I had inherited my mother's 1992 Lexus SC400 and she sat around for almost five years with only an occasional short drive and even less-occasional start. When we finally did get serious about trying to drive this luxury sports coupe, she literally "took off" with a vengeance!!After four tows to my regular mechanic (and one "pick-up"), we realized that we needed an expert? That's what you get at Galloping Gerties Garage: deep and detailed knowledge & experience, and in my case, much needed encouragement. (I wasn't in any hurry to get her back, unless she turned into "Matilda??")Even though I paid more than at the other place, they were painstakingly thorough with their work on this high-end vehicle, ultimately earning my confidence back in driving it safely. The communication was excellent, and the personal touch and caring incomparable, but even more important was the fact that Damian drove the car around MANY times after working on it to ensure it was SAFE (over 200 miles), including once WITH me driving and Damian in the passenger seat (to duplicate)!!!I am happy to declare that Christine's new official name IS Matilda, and we have a lot better relationship, now. :-) Damian and his garage helped changed my life!!!! (He even fixed small things, like the gas cap door NOT opening when pulling the cabin lever without pressure on the hinge {requiring TWO people}, AND for FREE, unlike my previous shop, who had just told us to fix it ourselves by putting a sponge behind the door to add pressure to the hinge, which we never did feel comfortable doing.)Great job, Galloping Gerties Garage!!!!!Services: Carburetor cleaning, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Body & Trim, Engine repair, Wheel alignment

I recently took our 1984 Vanagon Westfalia into Galloping Gertie's Garage. It was great to find a local shop that is familiar with this vehicle. They were very professional, the shop was spotless and the neat and I think they charged a fair price for what we had done. Damian even sent me a follow up email with a link to an indicator panel I was looking for.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Gerties always gives a very detailed inspection report (usually more than I want to know about my car, lol). There is no pressure to fix everything and most of the report is advisory. They always fix the problem I present to them even if it is difficult. My Mini tends to be weird problem prone, but Gerties can make it work no matter what. Everybody is super friendly and can explain what they are doing so that a normal person can understand what the problem is and what will fix it.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Oil change

I stopped in for diagnosis of an electrical issue. I didn t end up getting any work done, so I cannot speak to how well the repair would have been. But the costumer service and professionalism far exceeded what you would get at a dealership. Even after I declined to get any work done, Damien and Scott were not pressuring me or making me feel bad about any repairs. If/when I need to be back in the shop, I will return here.Service: Electrical repair

Have always used the dealership in Fife, poor communication and felt they didn't really care I was a customer. Now that I have found Galloping Gertie's Garage that has all changed and I'm so happy for that. The owner, Damian keeps you up to date, tells you why and how issues will be resolved and feels more like a friend is caring for my car. If you own and love your BMW, this is where it should be coming for that extra care and attention it deserves. You won't be sorry. Thanks GGG and team for your care and attention. My car means a lot to me and the fact that I'm on the road a lot, it is nice to know it's being looked after with such care.

I couldn't be more thankful to have this garage and this Range Rover expert right here in Gig Harbor. These guys went above and beyond, from an extensive full vehicle health check report to accommodating tight time frame needs on my end, and doing it all with incredible communication. If I could give more than 5 stars I sure would, its deserved!!

Had a great experience with GG's garage. I generally do most of my own wrench turning but I needed some expertise on a german car. I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed with how thorough they are and how well they explained everything to me. So nice to know there is a truly good shop that specializes in certain high-end cars that other mechanics seem to know nothing about. Highly recommend GG's. They do a very detailed inspection for folks who simply want to know what issues their car has and what issues are common with certain models.

Buyers beware. Took my BMW to this guy for an oil change. I was quoted $300 over the phone. After Damien, the owner inspected the car; he came up with over $5,000 in suggested repairs. His oil change somehow changed from $300 to $425. Damien also said I needed front brakes at over $2,000 and many other things. I said no and took my car to someone else who charged $210 for an oil change and said my front brakes were fine and did not need to be replaced, but if they did, it would be around $1,000, not $2,000. The new shop changed the Brake fluid and said everything else was fine. I left the new mechanics shop, spending $500 instead of $5,000. Damian called me a week later to see if I wanted to do the repairs; when I told him what I learned, he suddenly had customers standing before him and had to get off the phone quickly. They could care less what I had to say, as if this was a common theme for him. I told him I would finish what I had to say with this review, and his response was, OK, DUDE. This is not a shop I would recommend to anyone, so I suggest being careful if you do go here.

Gertie s is very customer oriented. Our car was towed in not running, through their diagnosis they were very cost conscious to not charge me for parts I may not have needed. They fixed my car in a timely manner and provided me with a plan to maintain it in the future. Damien is always so friendly and helpful, very patient too! costs a little more than some other shops but def worth it. if you have a foreign car that needs help, can't recommend them enough. after all these years, still goin there and they always treat me well

My wife's Audi Q5 had a check engine light and was running rough. After a diagnostic session they identified the problem and performed the fix. I was happily surprised that the final bill came in under the bid. My wife's car runs excellent and all the check engine lights are off. Happy Wife happy life. Excellent service - before, during and after. They love their work and their work shows it. Extremely detailed and thorough review of my vehicle - answered all questions. Able to discuss and review options - and very detailed on what they do different. Did it take extra time - yes - did they give me notice as quickly as possible - yes! I am extremely happy with the work and results, my car has over 100,000 miles and after the work is feeling better than new. Highly recommend their work. I am new to the area and needed to have my BMW X5 serviced (80k). I have always had a private German auto shop service it, so I wanted to find a similar shop here. I found Galloping Gerties Garage and made an appointment. From the email reminders of my upcoming appointment time/date, to the check-in meeting, through the service, the communication about the service, and the review when I picked it up, I was very impressed. Since it was the first time they had seen the vehicle, they did a thorough inspection and alerted me to a few things that needed attention beyond the 'normal' 80k service. I had those items taken care of as well. A few days after the service I was surprised to receive a call asking how everything was. I had never received an unsolicited follow-up call from any other shop. It has been a couple of weeks since I had the work done, and everything is working great.I plan to continue to use GGG for my X5 and will take my Audi there when it comes due.Service: General repairs & maintenance

BUYER BEWARE!!I brought my SUV into this shop and you would NOT BELIEVE what they did to me! They provided a comprehensive evaluation of all potential issues and rated them from critical to it can wait. They then took the time to go through the list with me in great detail and explained the benefits and costs on the spot.I dropped the car off with no prior notice and they got it in the next day, due to a cancellation. They promised the car by Monday and had it finished the week BEFORE.The worst part is that the front desk personnel AND the service staff are friendly, funny, and personable. I would NEVER RECOMMEND Gertie s Garage unless you want fair prices and fast, honest service. If you re looking for the cheapest place in town, STAY AWAY. If you want a shop that you can trust with the life of your family and for consistent results, then maybe you should try them.Never disappointed, multiple vehicles, multiple service appointments. It s always nice to go to a place that works on Land Rovers often and knows what s going on. Most basic dealerships couldn t tell me what was wrong with my LR4 and they could and fixed it right away. Always have great customer service and communication. Damian was very communicative, and knowledgeable about my car and the issues it was having. He understood our needs, and worked within our budget to strategize what had to be fixed now vs what could wait a bit. We appreciated very much his expertise and plan to continue to patronize his garage.Additionally his garage and his workers were very clean and tidy. I love that he takes pride in that, as it's my feeling if you keep an organized and clean work area, then you are going to take good care of my car. That absolutely was my experience.
