The guys here are wonderful. I was having some funky problems with my engine (noticed it acting sluggish) and Jaedon pointed out a vacuum leak that I hadn t noticed. Easy patch! The guys here were very friendly and worked to make sure I had a good experience.

Called very well reviewed auto shop in Maple Valley, and was told they outsource exhaust work to Bucky s. From the moment I called and spoke with Dean, to the time I left the shop, I was happy I made the jaunt. They replaced most of my exhaust system behind the headers with the exception of the muffler (which I had and was still good) for far less $$$ than I could have hoped for, and in record time. Straightforward, honest and down to Earth Just what I ve been looking for in a mechanic shop.

Everytime my car has needed anything these guys have been there to help. It's hard to find service you can rely on and trust these days. This is your place. I am old fashion when it comes to places I shop and this is one of places where they remember you and take care of there customers weather first time or repeat. They do 5 star work. I can't say enough good things.

In the middle of weekend errands, my engine started to stutter and I got the dreaded flashing check engine light. These guys were friendly and reassuring on the phone, and I was able to limp in staying in hybrid the last mile to the shop. They were transparent on repairs, pricing, and timeline the whole way through. Very happy with the service I received here!

I ve followed the manager Dean and his assistant manager Ed for 26 years through 2 companies and a name change. I ve never had a fairer honest group of people treat my family as their own and quickly repair any vehicle within my budgets. Because of Dean and his team, I ve kept my oldest and longest owned vehicle on the road and taught how to do a simple repair myself and save money.

They gave me a free estimate for a new catalytic converter for a used car we wanted to purchase, and they had the parts available to install it the next day. They also installed some cables to prevent it from being stolen again. They were extremely helpful. I would highly recommend the Federal Way shop for catalytic converter replacements!

My girlfriend just got her car fixed there and then discovered her $200 prescription sunglasses were missing along with the handmade case I made for her. When asked they said they had no responsibility for stolen items.

I m so very thankful for this place and its kind employees! I broke down on a Saturday afternoon mid- road trip, and even on a weekend with not much time left in their workday, they replaced my radiator and belts and had me back on the road within a couple hours of getting to them, all for a reasonable price. stand out customer service all the way through. Couldn t recommend em more highly!

Thanks, Dean! You saved me thousands!My car's got 80k miles, and the "Check Engine," light came on twice in 10 days. I took it to my local dealership, requesting the recommended maintenance for the mileage (oil change, fluid top off, brake pads, etc.)The dealership does this, but also recommends the Oxygen Sensor and Transmission be replaced immediately. It'll only take several days and seven thousand dollars to complete the repairs.That sounded pretty suspect to me, so I only paid for the minimum recommended maintenance, and took my car elsewhere for a second opinion.Luckily my fianc� and her family have been going to Bucky's in Federal Way for years, and heartily recommended Dean and Ed as honest mechanics.Dean got back to me within a few hours, and not only could he find nothing wrong with the car, he didn't even charge me for the diagnostic! The transmission started leaking on my car. Knowing how expensive this are to replace I figured I'd end up getting a new car, but wanted someone to look at it just in case it could be fixed. They ended up saying they were able to fix it but never gave me a quote or anything. They ended up charging me $600 and had also charged me with flushing and replacing the coolant, which they hadn't mentioned to me before, and was good on coolant when I dropped it off. 2 days later it started leaking again. I decided to get a new car, and asked if I could at least be refunded for labor. They said no and the best they could do was $200 in house credit, which is useless to me now.Service: Transmission repair

My truck wouldn't start, I explained to them what the issue was, he listened, troubleshooted the issue, called me said starter was bad, I also asked them to change the oil and turn-up, Dean told me the turn-up wasn't required yet. They did a great job, truck was ready by end of day. Thanks, Dean and thanks to all your Bucky's employees

I came in today, on Christmas Eve and these amazing group of guys helped me replace my battery in my car so I could travel in time for Christmas! They are very knowledgeable and kind. They did the job quickly and I was able to go on my way! Highly recommend!

Sat in shop and quietly listened to them lie and tell a woman her battery was almost 20 years old after they called the people who did her battery and they said it's 2 years old.They overcharge for work and parts. You're better off setting your money on fire than going here.

Oil Change Customers Beware!I bought a Groupon for a vehicle maintenance package (oil change, wheel rotations, etc.) at the Federal Way location. When I arrived, there was a sloppy, hand-written note taped to the door that said "No more oil changes. From, Mgmt". I walked inside and asked what the deal was, and the person behind the desk said they had too many "real customers" and not enough mechanics. I asked when I would be able to get my car in for an oil change, and was told I could come back in a week (a WEEK?!), but even then I would have to leave my car for the entire day. Yep...an entire day, for an oil change.I immediately traded in my Groupon for a Valvoline offer, drove a few minutes down the street, and was in and out in 20 minutes. The customer service alone made this a good trade! I actually spent more money on a few other maintenance items since you also get 20% off their other services with a Groupon.Maybe Bucky's is ok for more advanced work (assuming they have enough staff to do it in a timely manner), but for simple vehicle maintenance your time and money is definitely better spent somewhere else.Services: Tire rotations, Oil change

Best shop I've been to. My mom always raves about the location she uses for her work. I've got to say I'm probably not taking my car anywhere else. They truly care about customer service first. They will tell you "before you spend money let's see what we can do". They answer any questions you have (no matter how stupid) and explain everything in a way you understand without making you feel stupid. You get honest work and quotes without any up selling. Keep up the good work guys!!!!

Absolutely incredible, honest, hard working fellows truly for the working class. My husband's CV joint boot split in half, and these guys gave us not only a estimate over the phone, but made sure we didn't have to go one day without our vehicle. Upon getting home, I mentioned to my husband that my car was turning weird, skipping the tire when I pulled the wheel to the left. He looked under my car and sure enough, my sway bar arm had disconnected from the place it was bolted on.Called em back up, they said they'll take care of it in the morning. Gave me a quote. Fair and honest, really affordable considering the alternative is something breaking worse.

My Subaru Impreza's clutch was failing and Dean and the staff at Bucky's were incredibly helpful. We had my car towed to their shop from another repair shop. Bucky's price on a new clutch installation was significantly lower than we were quoted elsewhere.When they started the repairs, Dean was in regular communication, texting photos of shoddy equipment used by the other shop and keeping me informed of any additional parts that the repair needed. Bucky's got the clutch replaced in under a day and it drives great now. Wish we would have taken it to Bucky's in the first place, but glad we ended up there. We will definitely be return customers and recommend Bucky's in Federal Way to friends and family.Service: Transmission repair

Went there to get my brakes done but couldn't afford it, that's only because I needed alot more than just a basic brake fix, if you need just regular brake job done Bucky's has the best prices from my research, I called several places and Bucky's had the best deals and is the only one that would take me without an appointment, I drove all the way from SeaTac just to go to them. The staff is very friendly and super knowledgeable, they walked me through and showed me what was wrong with my brakes and explained what needed to be done to safely fix them, I ended up buying the parts from the auto store and doing it myself, but I would 1000% recommend going to Bucky's in federal way for your automotive maintenance and repairs, I intend on going back to them when I have more issues with my car in the future. They also have a clean, warm and comfy waiting room with coffee, TV, magazines and working restrooms!

They are the only car care center that I go to. I have lived in federal way for over 30 years. They always go above the rest to make sure your vehicle is running good and they don't stretch the truth to make you repair something that doesn't need it. Dean is all about customer care.

Ed was a cool guy. But I'm a bit disappointed because I waited for some hours and my breaks are yet still squeaking. I'm try one more time and update review.Updated 3/25Dean and Ed are very well worth the praise. Today I brought my car back in to have breaks looked at. Not only did they do a phenomenal job within a timely manner. They also made me feel safe with my vehicle and breaks in their care. Always a great laugh to recenter your energy.Give them grace and I promise they will go above and beyond to get you back on the road safe and sound.

My family has always brought our vehicles to the Buckys at this specific location.
