My car needed a 0w30 full synthetic API SN PLUS (or above) grade engine oil according to the manual. After some research, decided I wanted to go with Amsoil Signature Series. I called several shops around Bham to find out that they don't carry it. Some never called me back about the inquiry but Jim's Automotive did! Made an appointment and got my first oil change there. They were very friendly and had no issues putting in a Votex oil drain valve plug for me. Highly recommended.

Even though Travis at the front was busy he still acknowledged me when I walked in. After a short 45 second wait for him to finish a discussion with another colleague, he asked how he could hep and quickly got me out of there and taken care of.Work on the car was done quickly and inexpensively.No one wants to deal with car issues, but these guys made it as painless as possible

Once upon a time, I did my own oil changes and vehicle repairs. Now I take both my Honda and Dodge truck to Jim's Automotive Experts. They take care of my vehicles as well or better than I would.Jim is retired now but still can be seen at the front counter occasionally. Kent has taken over the reins from Jim, his Dad. Travis and Matt have joined Kent at the front counter now as Charlie also has retired . All three of them are always happy to answer any questions I may have. I'm very satisfied with the certified technicians in the shop and overall service. Here's looking towards many more years for this excellent small business.

My turn lamp exploded. Kent was able to get a new lamp to work even though the socket and housing had been damaged. He ordered the parts and they got me in the next day to do the permanent fix...great job all!

Wow! I pulled in unannounced with steam coming from the heater hoses dripping coolant onto hot car parts. They are always booked and busy but they listened to my story, checked/looked at the problem, called around right then for parts, and scheduled me in as soon as the parts will be available! I already know their work will be good per previous reviews. Color me happy!

I'm 62 years old.Been to many shops and had many experiences with various issues over the years.Never in my entire life have I had such a outstanding job done to my 1989 Chevy Silverado 4x4.They went way above and beyond and were totally thorough and transparent.My Chevy has never run this good.The last shop I took it to told me that I had a sucked valve.There's a lot of dishonest people out there and Jim's automotive is definitely not one of them.They sincerely care and are above excellent in their services and experience.

Took a vehicle in for a pre purchase inspection.It was easily the best experience I have ever had for a pre purchase.They showed me and explained any issues they found and Charlie who I was dealing with reallywanted to help me make the best purchasing decision I can.This was my first experience with Jim s automotive experts, but I will be coming to them for all my future automotive needs.Highly recommend to anyone.Best customer service I ve found anywhere.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

We have been going to Jim's for many years. They provide superior service, and are reasonably priced. They do really good work and are very knowledgeable about all aspects of the working cars and vehicles. They know exactly what is wrong, and fix it pretty quickly. I would highly recommend them. These guys are top notch!Received a quote from Travis within a couple of hours of a phone call requesting it.Of course made some other calls to different local shops in the area, Jim s Automotive was by far the best price quote.When I dropped my car off all the guys in there were super friendly super informative, of course asking them to only do what they needed to do to fix my air conditioning. Some shops will tell you that you need to do this or that .. but these guys are just straight shooters, just fixed whats needed to be fixed!! Saving us a load of money.Picked up my car the next day, Air conditioning working just fine. Of course I m super happy. Couple days later it started acting up and wasn t blowing very much cold air. So we called up Travis at Jim s Automotive he said bring it on in, and at first they couldn t figure out what was going on because it seemed to be working fine.. then finally.. It acted up for them..they fixed the problem. Called me up, said there was no extra charge for their work (even though they had it for 4+ hours).. I will recommend these guys to anyone and they will continue to get my business. Thank you to everyone at Jim s automotive!!Service: Air conditioning

I have taken all my cars to Jim's for years. They are great for all makes and models. From daily driver cars to work trucks to higher end cars they've always taken car of them all with expertise and efficiency. I'd highly recommend taking your vehicles there.

I love getting my car done at Jim's!! They're honest and they go above and beyond. You walk in and they always welcome you in with smiles on their face, and make you feel like family!! I am beyond words at how thankfuI I am for all their work! I highly suggest going to Jim's auto motive experts.

We have all our families vehicles serviced here. The crew at Jim's is the best there is. When buying a used car I use them for advice on models that are good to look for as well. Their advice is stellar!! They are very good at deciphering the WHAT MUST BE DONE and the You could do this if you'd like , but not necessary to be done. They are thorough , polite and courteous .

Service is above and beyond. I had a problem with our family vehicle, and they were several weeks out. However, we couldn't be without a vehicle for that long, so they fit us in within 2 days to at least diagnose it. They quickly figured out the hub and bearings were bad, and had it repaired same day. Exceptional service, always eager to help, and very honest with their work. I've dealt with Charlie mostly, and he does whatever he can to ensure you're taken care of. I can't say enough good about Jim's. Their work quality, their presence in our community, and the level of customer service I receive is really very exceptional. They are always upfront and honest in their findings, recommendations and quotes. They honor the fact that I am getting things done on a budget. They speak plainly and considerately when describing my car's needs, and they explain as much or as little as I need in order to make the best decision about repairs. They are flexible, accessible, considerate, and always make me feel welcome, even when they are slammed and can't get me in for a week. I basically trust these guys implicitly with my repairs. That's not something easily given, and has been very much earned over many years and many vehicles. As far as automotive work, they are THE best kept secret in Whatcom county. Thanks Jim's!!

Jim s has been my go to place for a few years now. They are friendly and very professional. I have never had an issue with their quality of work. They are willing to work with you and will give you options on how to deal with your cars problems. I highly recommend Jim s. Tell them Ken Tarr recommended you. These guys are honest, decent priced, phenomenal mechanics and have top notch service! I knew I was getting extra parts and work recommended by a coorperate mechanic and trusted my instinct and took my Excursion to Jim s instead. They were honest and confirmed my concerns of unneeded work, saving me a good amount of money. I would HIGHLY suggest entrusting your vehicle with them! Online Scheduling of car maintenance or repair at Jim's Automotive is so easy! They read and respond quickly to messages or concerns regarding car service needs. Following the service, the technician always goes over what he did and gives recommendations, which I like. They have kept my car in tip-top shape for eleven years!
