I am highly satisfied with the work these guys do to take care of their guests in a timely manner.Yesterday I was driving home from Missoula MT, I live in Redmond WA so about a 7 1/2 hour drive home. My car broke down out about 45 minutes past Ellensburg, so almost 2 1/2 hours away from home for me.I definitely thought my car was in a much worse condition than it was actually in and thought I probably wasn t going to have a car for at least a week. I was able to get a tow into Ellensburg where we dropped my car off at Wise Automotive. The guys immediately started looking at my car and were able to get me in and out in about 4 hours. Also, my car is working better now than it has in the entire 3 years I ve had it. I was able to get back on the road and make it home safe in a reasonable amount of time. Not to mention for the work they did, I felt as though the pricing was very much fair.I will continue to bring my car to these guys in the future even though it is 2 hours away from where I live. It is well worth it to have a trusted mechanic. Thank you guys SO much!!

I have been searching for a good, honest mechanic in the Ellensburg area for a few years. I have not had good experiences. That has changed for me. Derek and his team at Wise Automotive did excellent work and did it quickly. How many times has your total bill been less than your estimate by any significant amount? Well that just happened to me. Thank you, Wise!

My car is almost 20 years old and needed a little TLC to extend that. The guys at Wise are very courteous, knowledgeable & a pleasure to work with! I appreciate the great service & they will definitely be my go-to for all my vehicle needs!

I was extremely impressed with this shop and their staff. Very friendly, knowledgeable and the communication was great. They had my problems diagnosed immediately and a plan set in place to execute the repairs. I cannot express my appreciation for the level of professionalism and high quality mechanical care Matt Wise and especially his lead mechanic Derek Knaus for doing an rebuilt 2.5L engine swap out in my 2005 Subaru Outback wagon after I broke down near Thorp, WA between Seattle and Moses Lake two weeks ago. I had AAA tow me directly to Wise Automotive because I knew their reputation from friends in the area who had Wise fix their cars. I am grateful that I left my stranded car in their capable hands because they did an amazing job sourcing replacement engine, replacing a water pump, replacing a timing belt, and unrelated mechanical things that need to get fixed since my car was already in the shop like replacing a hydraulic fluid reservoir that was seeping and recharging my air conditioning freon. And because I live in Seattle, a friend of mine and I are both pilots and last Saturday when the shop was closed we flew out to the Ellensburg Airport where owner Matt Wise even pick me up to get my car I wanna close shop there so I can drive back to Seattle that afternoon. thanks a ton again WiseAutomotive! I wish we had your kind of customer service here in metropolitan Seattle! 5x

We were traveling back home (pulling our trailer) to Vancouver BC from vacationing when we had issues with our truck. I called Wise from the road and Matt was so kind to see us on a Friday at 3pm and when he was short handed! Always a pleasant experience. Was offered a loaner overnight, in which was a blessing for me personally. Would not have been able to make the repair in a timely fashion without it. Thank you. I consider your technician, Derek becoming a freind. Although would rather run into him at my morning coffee at Perkins' than having my truck in the shop anymore. They determined that i had a faulty alternator, and that i needed front lower control arms and struts replaced on my 15 year old Honda. They let me know when they could do it and did it in the time they said it would take and the price was fair. I called, and they were able to fit me in on a moment's notice during my travels, run a diagnostic test to determine root cause and provided recommendations. Matt Wise at Wise Automotive was professional and helpful, and stayed in communication the entire process. When the alternator on my Highlander turned out to be in a more difficult place than he realized he let me know the estimate change before continuing the job and gave me the option to take it elsewhere if I'd like, and he was extremely prompt at getting the work done on short notice right before holiday closures. I cant say enough how great the service was from Derek and Matt. I had them perform a new vehicle inspection on a 2004 chevy express AWD and they diagnosed and replaced my transfer case, front differential mounting bushings as well as some work on my driveshaft. They worked efficiently and for a fair price. They were great at communication before, during and after the job was complete. I live in Spokane, WA and they were glad to work with me even from that distance. They suggested an additional repair that i chose not to have them do and even though I chose to get the repair done in Spokane Derek still communicated with me about the issue when questions arose. Seriously great service and great people. I would recommend Wise Automotive to anyone looking for car maintenance in that area. Matt and Curtis were great. My wife and I were traveling from out of state in her 2015 Chevy Trax and it started leaking oil from the valve cover. Even though they were very busy Matt managed to fit me in the same day and loaned me a car while the repair was being completed. Broke down on a trip from out of town and wise auto was a life savor for us! Was very on it as to getting my car fixed so we could get back home. Thank u so much wise auto team, we couldn't have asked for a better case scenario. We were headed home by noon after braking down the evening before, u guys are are good at what u do and we appreciate all u do! Very reasonable price alsoService: Engine repair

We broke down with transmission problems on a weekend. We called Wise on Monday and they were able to squeeze us in. They diagnosed a tricky problem and saved us money! They were also gracious enough to drive us clear across town when we were stuck without transportation (DON'T try and use Lyft or Uber in Ellensburg!!) and when taxis were all too busy! Great work and ethics!!

I was barely two hours into an intercontinental trip from Seattle to New York, two days before Christmas. My Fusion was recently serviced, so when I saw the cloud of steam pouring from me at seventy miles an hour, my heart fell.Thankfully, Wise Automotive was only ten miles away. I limped my car there, and within minutes they had found the source of the coolant leak. The closest part was in Yakima, but it was secured quickly, and within three hours I was on my way.Matt and his crew are professional, friendly, and from my single encounter with them, I consider myself very fortunate to have called them first. First I'd like to say I have never written a review before but I felt like I had too because the people who work there were all very nice. They did a great job on my car and gave me a really good deal which included a free car wash! I highly recommend going to this place if you ever need work done on your vehicle! I have never had a better experience going to get a car maintenanced than I did going here.

Picked up an elderly neighbor this morning because Wise Automotive was fixing her truck. She was treated with absolute respect by the employee's. They helped her with paperwork & answered all her questions. I was so impressed. My husband has his truck serviced here as well & has been very Happy. Thank you Wise Automotive !

They did a great job getting my ole bus back on the road. A part needed to be ordered as it was not available locally and the original manufactured part is no longer produced. They did the research needed to find a new replacement part and more importantly they called me whenever they had more information and kept me informed about the wait and when I could expect to be driving again. I broke down towing my r.v. on I-90 W. Wise Auto was recommended by AAA and even the tow truck driver said they were great. The week of 4th of July holiday, employees taking time off to celebrate and they still had my diesel truck repaired in less than 5 days. The bill was a little under what I actually expected. When the truck was repaired, they brought my truck to me at Yakima River R.V. Park (wonderful park and host's). Truly a professional shop all the way around. Thanks for helping make a tough situation easier.

My old Explorer was overheating. It wasn't worth the money to put into it to fix it properly. Mr. Wise told me what he found and what it would cost. He was thorough and efficient. We ended up getting another vehicle, but things could have gone horribly wrong if ONLY a new radiator had been installed. He saved us a great deal of potential grief. Thank you you sir.

When you bump into the right mechanic, you just...you know. Matt was amazing, I was in deep trouble with some serious issues, it was going to cost me enough that i might not have been able to have a vehicle anymore, but in stepped Wise Automotive. They not only fixed my vehicle, they were very reasonably priced. The service was fantastic, they not only know vehicles, but they know people, and it felt good to be talked to instead of talked at. I have found my mechanic, and I would recommend (and I often do) anyone to at least let them give you a quote, you wont regret it, thats a guarantee.

I do not recommend Wise Automotive!! I'm extremely disappointed in them and the quality of there work!! They replaced the head gaskets on my Subaru over a year ago and I've only put 10,000 miles on them. They clearly did not do a good job because the heads are leaking in multiple places. There is no reason the heads should be leaking anytime soon! I'm also sure they were leaking before I even noticed anything which is unfortunate because I was a little outside of the one year warranty, which screwed me, even though I was under the 12,000 mile warranty. Either way, Matt kept saying how he wouldn't reimburse me for parts or would charge me again for parts if he did the work again because it's money out of his pocket when in reality the money came out of my pocket in the first place. Very sloppy work and untrustworthy! On top of that I come to find out that if I had my head gaskets were replaced somewhere else, my cost would have been closer to $2000 instead of $2500. Keep in mind that they have a very high mark up on parts and will give you the run around instead of standing firmly behind there work. Find somewhere else to take your car so you can trust it's done right!

Our radiator blew around noon on I90 heading to Spokane. I phoned all the auto repair shops in Ellensburg and they all said they couldn't help us until the next day except Wise's. Matt at Wise's Automotive said he'd try his very best to help us the same day. We had our truck towed there and he had a brand new radiator installed and had us on our way in 2 hours. Better than we could have hoped for. He fit us in when he was personally very busy with his daughter's wedding a few days later.

My car overheated on the way from Ellensberg to Portland. After a tow to this shop I was pleasantly suprised to find that the part was cheap and available (Heater control valve) and it took longer to get the part than to replace it. The shop atmospher was relaxed and they offered me water and soda while I waited. The mechanic kept me up to date throughout the process and even showed me the part that was broken and explained how it was supposed to function.They recommended some additional work after the test drive but stated it didn't need to be completed that day and even offered to wash the bottom of the car because of all the coolant that would produce a burning smell because it was all over the engine.If I were ever in this area again and needed work there is no other place I would go.
