Safeway needs to upgrade their Cle Elum store and fuel station. Safeway usually has the best prices for gas in Cle Elum. The problems are, their pumps go down all the time and the fuel station needs to be bigger. Every weekend, holiday and Summer people visit the beautiful Cle Elum area making it difficult and a pain in the rear to get gas and groceries. The store gets crowded, shelves are emptied and the gas station design is poor creating chaos trying to find a working pump. If you want diesel, not all of the 10 pumps have it, if they're working. Safeway Corporate, it's time again to improve the only grocery store in town, PLEASE!

This safeway gas station has one of the best prices along this stretch of I-90. It's quite popular and is often packed, but the wait is not too long either. We're also able to buy some hot food from the grocery store that is reasonably priced.

I am so grateful for this little fuel station. For the last decade or so I have purposely stopped in the town of Cle Elum simply to get fuel. Nearly every time it is the best price within 100 miles. It's a great place to stop up right before you hit the mountain pass heading towards seattle. Thank you for being here.

Safeway had the lowest price for regular unleaded fuel. The location is a little off of I-90 but didn't take too long.

Gets a little crowded but workers are nice and everyone is friendly! Got some jarring tips for my jam from the nice gentleman pumping his gas next to me! Awesome! Clean as well and a dollar cheaper than in Seattle

You might think this is a good place to stop and get some low price fuel and something other than fast-food. You ll need to bring your maximum level of patience if you want those things. The fuel station was not designed for the volume traffic it gets today and it s after of chaotic mess of people jockeying for a pump. Today two men almost got into a fist fight over who was next.

Whenever we drive between Ellensburg and the West Side, we always buy gas at this Safeway gas station. In 6 years never had a long wait. Best feature my gas consumption typically leaps from 24ish to 28ish miles per gallon. I m convinced it must be more than 87 octane or extra additives has this effect. 5 stars!!

Irate this fuel station poorly because of how the location is. It can get jammed up so fast and people don't know how to organize themselves as they drive in to fuel up. Half the time half the pumps aren't working and they are very slow to fill up your car. Relocating this gas station would help a great deal and to keep the maintenance on the pumps up to Snuff

This station is right off I-90 going into Cle Elum. Best gas price in the area. It is always busy, so sometimes you have to wait to do your fillup.

Some pumps were off-line, which means that only one car could fill at a time, so we had to wait, for what seemed like a long time, to fill up. The price made it worth it, sort of.

Buy your supplies, using your Safeway card first, so you can get your added discount on fuel. Yes they have Diesel too. Price is already good but better with extra discounts! Tends to have lines on weekends.

Was a big jump from regular to premium in price and my vehicle can only use premium even with having fuel points I still paid more than regular just didn't seem right

This location is a life saver, you still get good safeway gas and prices, while in the middle of no where. Before safeway, i would try my best to avoid having to get gas in Cle Elum, lack of options made it to expensive. Plus they've got a great deli in the main store if your mid way in your travels, a deli sandwich, or an order of fried chicken is waiting for you.

For some reason the pumo stopped at 20.93 although I put in $40. As the amount to fi my car and my tank was only at half. The pump said "pumping" still but it wasn't. A little frustrating just because that meant another gas stop along the trip.

Let me tell you, this station has GAS. This station has so much gas that it might want to consider taking something that would help with all that gas.Many advertisements tout medications or remedies that reduce gas and bloating. Some have been shown to be of value in clinical studies, others have not yet been proven scientifically but are anecdotally helpful. Half the pumps are out of order prices are great though. If 15min is worth 15 cents per gallon to you go for it

Great place to gas up except Friday thru Sunday and holidays avoid.Plenty of cheap gas in town and on the east side of the city without a line

Safeway in Cle Elum... Lowest gas price I found when crossing the State... $3.29 when most were between $3.49 and $3.69, others even higher!
