I wish I had tried out Top Performance years ago. I took my Toyota Sequoia into Top Performance for a laundry list of items I felt it needed before a 2k trip halfway across the country, which included a window regulator, serpentine belt, rear brakes, and fluids in the differentials, transfer case, and the transmission. I fully expected all of those items needed to be addressed. However, after the inspection, Top Performance stated the brakes were totally fine in the front and that I had at least 6-8 months on the rear brakes, and further stated that the belt was not in need of changing. They easily could have charged me for a brake service and I wouldn't have questioned it, but this clearly shows their honest work practices. Bernie was my advisor, and was excellent. I felt he listened to me, cared about me, cared about my vehicle and my personal safety on this large trip, and took it to heart. The work was done quickly as well. I'd highly recommend them to anyone!Long story short, the work was quality, the price was fair, and the honesty was on full display. Top Performance is OK, but not great. They charge you a full hour labor just for a diagnostic, even if it's just sticking in the code reader and that's 90 dollars extra you are paying per repair. Scummy way to pocket 90 bucks.Their actual work seems to be decent and they don't make up fake repairs which is good. They will NOT tell you ways you can save money though or potentially save on a repair or fix a part, they would rather you replace 'x' for 1000 dollars without speaking of alternatives.In my example they told me my cat was bad and would cost me 1400 dollars to replace (+90 bucks just for telling me cat was bad off a reader). I cleaned my CAT by myself and it is working fine 3+ years later with regular driving.I will say that their actual work is good, their technicians and representatives are easy to talk to and scheduling isn't too bad.Do yourself a favor though, spend 20 bucks on a code reader and figure if you can do the repair or do something to save money or perhaps you have a member of the family who can help you if it's simple, because shops like these while decent, like cash more than anything.edit: The owner's response is a lie, they only offer a "complete diagnostic" and every repair they will run that diagnostic, regardless. Even if I told them what was wrong they will do a diagnostic and charge you for it anyway.Services: Brakes, Oil change

EDIT! : THEY BANNED ME for any future business, because of this review! You could have handled this much differently such as by asking me to change to delete or change the review without compromising your integrity.Instead, after booking an appointment and coming in, then you tell me I'm banned for life. It's really not the best business practice please grow up ::They performed an alignment on my Chevy Volt. The staff are very personable and friendly and seemingly competent. However, the upsell..My brake fluid is brown and should be changed? That is not how you test the brake fluid, the proper procedure is to use a test strip. The fluid is less than 2 years old. You recommend every 2 years but GM in the owner's manuals says every 150K miles. 1 is way too frequent, the other too infrequent. 5 years is a safe bet since there is a lot of rain here.Don't upsell without proper reason. and 2 grand to change my 4 struts is stealership pay. I'll go to Froh's.

We just had Top Performance Automotive do a used car inspection for us on a car we were looking to purchase. The price was reasonable and the service was quick. I brought my truck in to get a quote on replacing the steering rack. I explained the issue and made made an appointment to have it looked at.My truck sat for 2.5 hours while I entertained my two small children. After the truck was looked at, I recieved a text message with a link to the diagnosis, which was exactly what I told them.I went to the front desk to ask if we were all set because of the message I received. They collected 140 dollars from me and took 10 minutes to bring my truck around so I could load my children and leave.I would understand the charge if my truck was fully inspected. The check engine light wasn t even looked at. They simply confirmed what I told them to be true.I was recommended this shop by someone close to me and was shocked at this lack of care.

They took the time to answer all my questions. No pressure to decide in that instant. Found the problem quickly and offered a quick solution. They didn't try to upsell me at all and had my repair done in less than 24 hours even with ordering parts. I will definitely be back.

I am a client of Top Performance Auto Service who was unhappy with the condition of which my driveshaft was returned to me.I sent an email to the owner of Top Performance, the email address was provided to me by Mike of Top Performance and I did not receive a response so I called and talk to Barney of Top Performance to confirm the email address provided to me. It was the correct email address.So today i recieved this email request that I post my experience with Top Performance Auto Service and rate their service.The following content is a copy of my email composed for the owner of Top Performance Auto pending his reply to my email introduction, which I never received. Here is my experience in detail.Greetings Top Performance, I am taking the initiative in reaching an understanding and resolve with regards to a recent service provided by Top Performance� I am documenting all events in hopes to avoid any legal intervention.I have attached to this email a few photos of my driveshaft taken by me prior to visiting your establishment and soliciting your service.Also attached are my correspondences to people I know who are mechanically inclined whom I had inquired to regarding the removal and replacement of my universal joints, prior to calling and visiting Top Performance.My point here is take a very close look at the harmonic balancer on my driveshaft and it's condition.This email is my initial email and will be followed by other emails.The email following this email will be with attached photos of my driveshaft condition, particularly the harmonic balancer with details of what your shop representatives had conveyed to me at the time I� picked up my driveshaft after Top Performance had worked on it.Please note that I did convey to Mr. Barney that I was going to do research regarding what Top Performance shop foreman had instructed Mr. Barney to convey to me about the harmonic balancer of my vehicle's driveshaft, and I explained that, I was very sceptical about what I was told.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphoneEnd.Due to all the above mentionedI will file a complaint with the better business bureau and look into other legal avenues.I will not be rating their service as I will not be returning to them for any auto service or repair needs.Maybe I was treated like this because of my ethnicity and I am not entitled to a reply and quality service.The 1st 2 photos below are before I submitted my driveshaft to Top Performance Auto. Please note the big round metal object is the harmonic balancer without any cracks and undamaged in tack and good condition.The last 4 photos are of my driveshaft with the harmonic balancer dismantled and separated from my driveshaft after Top Auto Performance had replaced the universal joints on my driveshaft.I had to purchase a replacement part and had another auto service shop install the new harmonic balancer. I also researched on line how to replace the universal joints and YouTube shows how it is done without damaging the harmonic balancer. if I had a torch, I am certain I could have done it without damaging the harmonic balancer.According to the auto service mechanic repair manual this repair should have been done in 30 minutes to an hour. It took more than 2 days beyond what Top Performance Auto said they could get it done which was an hour.

These people are great. I used their services last year and I'm about to schedule a new appointment. I got paperwork afterwards that showed what they checked, the results, etc. It was very informative and great for record keeping. The people themselves are wonderful and I got to see how they treat customers, and it's phenomenal. They know how to explain things well and they are honest and kind. I'll always take my car here.edit: several oil changes later and I m still loving them. Devra is especially awesome. Really nice lady. I heard her interact with tons of customers and she is so good at what she does. Great staff all around.Service: Oil change

I took my 4Runner in last minute for a diagnostic. I've used Top Performance for a couple of cars over the years, and they're always fantastic - quick, professional, and easy to work with. I've never had a problem with their repairs - they've serviced my Lexus, BMW, and diagnosed my 4Runner (which ultimately they recommended I take it to Toyota, because the issue was a warranty issue, not because they couldn't fix it).Service: Auto engine diagnostic

For the past couple of times, engine oil and filter service were pleasant with great price. However, recent troubleshooting service experience is below bar. The complain is the metal touching sound at driver side. It sounds like something related to break. So dropped the car right after they open. They gave the full inspection, but did not address my main concern first, they gave several other urgent recommendations. The quote given seems reasonable, but without any estimated finish time. At the end of the day, they called me saying it's 4 hours job for flushing power steering, break fluid and differential fluid. The new expected finish time is noon next day. I was promised an early Morning call to update me. But no call next day. Around noon, I called them just to hear it will be delayed again. So I stop by to tell them my disappointment. The new estimated finish time is 3 pm. Before 1 pm, got a call. When I stop by to pay the service, I realized they only did the back differential flush, not the front. The explanation is that a special tool is needed to open the drain. Extra charge will apply if I want to schedule it. Something is going on in this shop. Historically they have been good.However, recently had work completed on 2015 suburban and other items are not working correct since the moment I turned it on. They wanted to charge diagnostic fees, Debra had nothing but a terrible attitude, (saying sometime diagnostics take multiple days) and the owner would not take a call or stand behind their commitments.After checking in several hours after dropping it off, the shop manager called and didn t even know the car was onsite.It appears to be very poorly run.

The maintenance and service was impeccable. I arrived a few minutes early for my scheduled appointment and was warmly greeted in the parking lot by Barney, a courteous service advisor with whom I discussed two types of oil recommended for my vehicle, concerns about dust in my air & oil filters after a recent road-trip and lastly, a maintenance and tire check for peace of mind. I watched the national news while I waited and very much appreciated the 1st class customer experience of a tidy lobby with uncluttered counters and a clean seating area. I received my bill reasonably priced for the services rendered. I bought an older car for my kids to drive. I was told Top Performance was a great place to go. I asked them to check the brakes, passenger window did not work, fix the drivers door lock, and fix the climate control. Their quote for my brake repair was almost double that of the tire store I have gone to for years. They did fix the door lock, and replaced the passenger window motor. Their tech said the window worked but when I went to roll it down in their parking lot when I picked up it did not work. They said the truck was too old to get parts for the climate control. When I told them the window did not work they said they would need to charge a diagnosis fee to be able to fix it. Bottom line, I paid them a bit over $500 to fix my door lock and tell me what was wrong. On a good note, they were very friendly.

On the first appointment it took them over an hour to tell us they couldn't perform the work due to car problems. After fixing i the car, we went back and after we got to the store for our appointment they told us they couldn't get us in. They don't value customers' time. Avoiding them in the future

Quick and efficient as always! Easily scheduled my appt and accepted my car when i arrived. The service was faster than quoted and they even followed my request to not fill my tires more than 35. Only downfall is the parking as they are very busy there and at all the businesses in that parking area. Glad to see they started charging those who want to leave their cars there more than 1 night

I can always count on this place to be honest and reasonable. My bmw, which quite frankly is always breaking down, has been considerably less expensive to fix here than at the dealer. I never feel like I m being pushed or lied to when I come to top performance. It s refreshing.

A friend recommended top performance to me a few months ago. My power steering went out and we tried replacing the drive belt ourselves, but it still wasn't working (tensioner was messed up). I decided to listen to my friend and take my forester in to Top Performance.I dropped it off last night after-hours and at 8:02 am today I got a call asking for more information on the vehicle and problems I was having. He let me know of the diagnostic fee before doing anything and said that they'll look at it that same day. Later in the afternoon I was able to pick up my car. They fixed it for much less than I was expecting, (the repair didn't take much longer than the diagnostic testing). Everyone I spoke to was extremely friendly and helpful, actually taking the time to explain everything to me.This place absolutely deserves a 5-star rating. They did everything very quickly, were friendly and had great communication, were very affordable, and even sent an electronic inspection review of the car (general maintenance and any findings - I have an old car with a few problems, which this showed and they didn't try and pressure me into paying for more services). As soon as I got back to work, I recommended this place to everyone.

I had the timing belt replaced on my vehicle. Turnaround time was fast for a difficult job! When the repair was completed, they were very accommodating when I wasn't able to pick up the car during store hours. I was even able to pay online. They also provided a full vehicle inspection after the fact which was VERY helpful! 10/10 would recommend!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Idc what people say, if you're trying to be cheap you get what you pay for. And I might of had to pay a little more than I'd liked but guess what, I'm pleased as heck!!! Thank you so so so much! My car drives so nice now. Saved me from a dangerous situation.-Your happy mazda customer
