very bad! unprofessional service! A while ago I took my mini copper here to have it repaired (not started). They made a diagnosis and an estimate of more than 2000 dollars to repair it, I accepted the estimate because I needed the car to go to work. In the end, they demanded payment and did not repair my car (it never started).I would give them a rating of at least 5 stars.

DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.....I would never take my car to them, you'd think a company that's been in business this long would be more professionally managed.my buddy took his car in only to have them say it was ready when they really did nothing, then he had to bring it back for them to complete the repair, only to have them tell him he needs another$700 part, you'd think a professional mechanic might know that from the beginning.... DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR HERE...... even if you're not a mechanic I think you could do a better job yourself!!!! A zero star rating is more appropriate!!!!!!!

These guys know what they're doing and charge a fair price. They traced down a number of ghosts in my 2008 Mercedes SL550 that were cratering the battery, messing with the auto door locks, and keeping the trunk from opening. Everything is good now.

I came to Mikes Hi-Line Auto shop to do annual Uber inspection. Upon arrival to the shop I was able speak to Mikes about Uber annual inspection. He stated that he will not do any inspection due to rain. I explained to him that I can all the way from Everett and he won t listen at all. My question is that if you had a contract with Uber/Lyft that you expected to do the job with no exceptions. What in the hell is weather has to do with inspection?

Original post below. I had an issue when I first brought my car in, obviously. When I got it back it so happened that I had more problems than what I originally started with. Originally I wasn't satisfied with the response I received when I called to report the new issues because it was made out to be fault of my vehicle or previous faulty wiring. They reached out to me a week after to see how everything was working on my car and when I told them it was worse than what I brought it in with they had me bring it back. They checked it out to make sure it wasn't something wrong with the parts/work performed and found a bad wire set. They didn't charge me for the diagnostic and I was happy to pay for the work. My car is running better and everything in it works properly. After all said and done I would recommend this shop because they reached out to me and worked with me to resolve the issues and concerns that I had.ORIGINAL POST:$500 plus for a diagnostic and ignition switch. Apparently I have burned and frayed wires going to my radio that caused more problems that I've never had a problem with when I really don't. Going in I had a problem with no power to the radio, clock, side mirrors and windshield wipers. Coming out I have power to the windshield wipers, no power to the radio and now the windows, still the clock, still the radio and still the mirrors and now have no power to the vehicle when the car isn't turned to the "on" position so no dome lights when I open the door either.Called and told them and they tell me I have burned and frayed wires going to my radio that probably caused more problems that Ive never had a problem with before. I don't have any bad wiring. When I took a look, everything wired is clean and unused wires are butted off. The only thing they could tell me was "we can fix it it's just going to take time and money."If I would have noticed the problems before I left and got home I would have not taken it back home. Instead they have the car running and ready for you to leave the lot, maybe to cover the fact they messed something up they didn't want to fix.If you do take your car here note everything that is working and check that everything is working plus what they said they did BEFORE you leave. To the right looks like the original wiring harness for the stock stereo with only the power being used from it and the wiring on the left looks like all the speakers and the ground. I don't see any burned or frayed wires.

The dealer, who shall remain anonymous (Sound Ford) said we needed a new engine and it would cost 9k+, the next mechanic said oh no, too hard for us we don t do that kind of work . Hi-Line Auto Electric had a look and fixed it, fast, no fuss, honest and very reasonably priced. No new engine required. Highly recommended!

One thing I've noticed reading the reviews here is that folks feel they're dishonest. I can attest to that. I was lied to, manipulated, and talked aggressive to when all I wanted was some work done on a set day at a set price for what we agreed on. I was polite and cordial but the same cannot be said for the outright liars and bullies at hi-line auto. They will give you a low quote and then exploit you when they get to work, and then they'll bully when you question them politely!Honestly, do yourself a favor and find another shop. These people are rude and they play games with your emotions. It's a terrible company.

Jerry was awesome!!! From phone call with affordable options to getting my car and business back up and running in a timely manner. He replaced my hub and wheel bearing. Affordable, in an hour and done. Even let us watch his work. We received wonderful customer service from Jerry and his crew. I hope they enjoyed the donuts .

My car had a battery drain. If I did not drive it the battery would be dead after two days of being parked. I took it to Hi-Line Electrical to have them trace down and fix the power drain. After they had my car for two days they called and suggested a battery change. I agreed to a $300 battery change because they said it would help them track down the battery drain. Hi-Line had my car for another week after battery was replaced and in this time they said they could not recreate my power drain let alone resolve the issue. I picked my car up and was charged $600 in diagnostic fees, for total of $900. I parked my car at my home for two days and the new battery Hi-Line installed was dead. When I called to ask about warranty of their work the response I got was "we wont start charging until we start diagnostic testing." There was no warranty on what they had done previously and I did not get the impression they would take care of me despite the $600 I already paid. Would not recommend.Service: Electrical repair

I had an 65 Impala. They put on a disc brake conversion that went fine. Then I had them tackle down some electrical work and they never fixed the problem They said they did a bunch of testing and was trying to charge me like $1,500 when they quoted me more like $8 00 and nothing was changed from when I brought it back into the shop and I still had to pay $800 and they had nothing to report or no information what I should do to remedy the issue They just charged me for their labor but didn't have anything changeable for the labor. I believe at this point I was scammed AKA charge for services that were never rendered. I would stay away get a price crow and writing if you decide to go there but I will take it somewhere else the owner and manager are just not trustworthy human beings.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Electrical

Scott at the counter is a liar. And does horrible business. Can't trust people in business like him after him raising his voice and claims the customer is wrong well the customer knows exactly what was said and the customer being called a liar. Speaks volumes for a business like this there are plenty of other autoelectronic repair shop close by that are better

These people are crooks. They are the bad mechanics your parents you about. We brought our vehicle in due to lack of power and a recent diagnosis said the issue was fuel injectors. We said we needed it in 3 weeks for a planned vacation. They said it was not the injectors but it just needed a tune up. $2400 later they said it was fixed. We noticed later that a new ignition system was on the bill - we did not approve or discuss it. We drove 1 block before returning after paying stating it was still under-powered. They then claimed it needed an exhaust system and took it to a muffler shoppe. Still no dice - no further cost estimates were provided. It was not ready for the vacation. We asked for a call and estimate - no call was made. Still not fixed and a week later, we said we wanted the vehicle back and they said it was $2100 more, and said it needed to be paid in cashier's check and refused to take a credit card because I said I was taking it up with Attorney General. These are all listed as scams on the texas attorney general website and they committed each one!1. commencing repair work on your car without first getting your authorization to perform the repair work, and then charging you for repair work that you did not authorize,2. starting repair work on your car before obtaining authorization from you, then charging you for it.3. representing that repair services will be completed by a certain day in order to induce the sale, then failing to have the repair services completed by that day.4. failing to notify you and secure your additional approval, in writing, for any additional work to be done that was not set forth in the original written agreement.5. representing or advertising that the shop will accept consumer credit cards or personal or business checks as payment for goods and services, and then refusing to accept credit cards or checks.

2010 BMW' X5's seem not be there specialty here . All my American made cars are still serviced here and they provide great service for those.Update: The owner did contact me to change may review and has a focused rating he would prefer 5 stars. But screening your customers you send to a third party rating service seems to me to be just wrong. I guess this is the only way that real reviews can be seen today.

Forrest is a sales person! Not a repair person. He says he is the manager. Tried to charge more when he told me he would only charge $250 then call me. He never called me and wanted to charge me almost $500. They never fixed the problem. Update,.,......................It is now January. I had replaced the battery as advised when I made my first posting. I am now having the same problem they say Hi line auto and electric fixed.Service: Electrical repair

War End is right. Don't believe the BBB rating for Hi-Line Auto Electric. There is a skewed rating system for accredited businesses and isn't based on actual customer ratings.I was a customer for four years, and ultimately, I shouldn t have trusted the owner. The final set of visits there to diagnose and repair an engine misfire problem left me with $2500 worth of transmission repairs and replacement of ignition wires and spark plugs, and no change in the misfire problem. I continued taking my car back there, asking them to fix the problem they misdiagnosed. The third visit they told me they were pretty sure the problem was with the drive-by-wire system, but not entirely sure. They sent me home with my car running no better than when I was there the first time. I took my car to a couple other shops to have the misfire problem diagnosed. I showed the owner the results from the other shops, plus evidence of them charging me for parts that don't fit my transmission. I asked the owner to refund my money. He refused. I ended up taking the business to small claims court where I recovered some of my money. But, they lost my trust, and my business for good.

I was referred here by the Burien pit stop oil change guys (I super trust them so I went to Highline auto and electric). My engine light went on in my 2015 Jeep so I took it in to get checked out. I interacted with Tim, the owner, the whole time and he was very nice and willing to assist me. When they checked my car out they were able to diagnose my engine light problem but also thoroughly examine how everything else looked. Tim called and gave me the run down about what was wrong and I ended up getting my coolant thermometer replaced there. But Tim also took the time to show me my engine and point out some other signs of problems. I really appreciate that he told me to go to Jeep and see if my gasket head would still be covered under warranty. I took my car to Jeep in Renton and showed them the notes from Tim. They said it s unlikely that the gasket head is leaking but they will look at it. About 8 hours later Jeep called back and confirmed the diagnosis was correct and it will be covered by my warranty! I m really thankful for Tim s honest and sincere advice as well as their knowledge and thoroughness in their work. I definitely recommend this business.

Very professional and friendly mechanics at Hi-Line. Often, when women go into a shop for work to be done on a vehicle, the mechanics are condescending. My daughter recently got a great deal on an older vehicle, there were a few "basic" things that needed fixing so I gave it a shot. I'm no mechanic, so I didn't get it quite right. Fast forward through a few weeks of tows and dead car. When I finally got in contact with Forrest and the team at Hi-Line, issues were quickly identified and resolved in an honest and professional manner! I couldn't have asked for a better experience!!

These guy's are awesome. The power seat on my Buick T-type broke and was stuck forward. Unfortunately parts are no longer available but they still managed to accomplish the task I ask for of moving a broken power seat. Not only did these guy's do the job I was dreading to do myself but also did it in less time then I could. And I know this car like the back of my hand. A+ work and as a mechanic I'd highly recommend them to others.

They charged me $142, to basically tell me the same thing I knew and told them. They probably didn t spend more than 15 minutes looking at my electrical problem. They left my keys in my truck with the truck unlocked in their parking lot. They also did not diagnose another problem that I asked them to look at. The ne and proceeded to tell me that it would cost $1000 for one single wire to be replaced. I heard a lot of bad things about these guys and still went there and totally got the bad experience that I heard from everybody else I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Dissapointed... My car was having electrical/sensor issues, and it would occasionally either not rev up when i pushed the gas pedal, or it would lurch and over-rev. I spent about $2k on various sensor replacements and the labor to have them installed with these guys, but in the end, nothing they did helped the problem. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because I honestly believe they tried to fix the car, they just didn't seem to have the training or knowledge to figure it out.

Called them during a weekday, Gene assured me that they would be open on Saturday. I drove my car all the way down to Burien with someone else so that I could drop my car off. No one was there. We waited for over a half hour for someone to come. No one was there it was all locked up with their gate. After speaking with somebody on a week day assuring me I could come on Saturday I just wasted my entire morning. I will never go back here again.

Horrible service -Avoid this company -> do not believe bbb's rating. The owner/mechanic charged me $409.74 for parts and labor for a botched job. The majority of the charge was for a so called OEM Crank Position Sensor. The crank position sensor he sold me was definitely not an OEM part but a knock off that sells for $40. Not only did he sell me a non OEM part he destroyed it by misassembling the sensor into the wrong hole in the transmission housing, such that the clutch torn into the sensor housing and destroyed it.

They are very very pricey, but they will get the job( repairs ) done. Just be prepared to dish out lots , and lots of$$$. Thats why 3 Stars .Diffinitly they are my last resot , just because their price. But if money was not a factor, then they are my first choice. They are friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, very smart, resourceful.

Dont wast your time not trust worthy the owned that took over for the Dad some time ago has turned this once honest hard working shop in to a chop shop of sorts. I went in for a $34.95 wind shield wiper motor rebuild I stated not the spendy one Im disabled and cant afford it ok. I also showed him right were I wanted a shut off switch for my classic 63 nova cherry I had since high school in 73 a simple job. What I got was the switch was right were I told them not to put it the cheap wiper motor and 6 inc of wire they replaced cost $800.00 Thats how much I paid for the car in 1973 he lied to my face then ripped me off Never again will I go to this shop when the dad owned it they were honest and hard working now they are stealing from any one they can.
