Went in for a car inspection and it wasn t too busy. However, the front desk folks were busy so I waited for a couple of minutes. After the wait, the gal told me I had to get a tire inflator kit bc the city of Seattle requires it for Teslas - since the car doesn t have a spare tire.After I went to auto zone, the place was packed and there was only one parking spot left. I was expecting to have to wait a long time beyond the 20 mins the website says it would take for the inspection. Fortunately, it was only 40 mins. The inspection was a breeze.Given the circumstances, this place is great. It s probably busy for a reason.Oh the price was VERY REASONABLE. it was better than the 2 other places I got a quote.

Came in for a uber inspection and last year they falsely said my new tires needed to be replaced, then this year they wanted me to replace my wipers, after the inspection today 3/29/2024 at 4pm they handed me the wrong receipt and when I asked them about it the lady tried ripping it outta my hand saying they gave me the wrong one! Don't get your inspections here if you can avoid it!!!

Took my car in because my check engine light randomly came on and I had an issue in the past with my camshaft. They ran codes and said the camshaft came up. After paying $450 for diagnostics and an inspection, I was told that I have catastrophic damage to my engine due to low oil and will need to have it replaced (I keep up with oil changes and was told $13k-$15k for a new engine). I decided to take my car to a dealership for a second opinion. The dealership said my car is running exceptionally and there are no problems other than a cracked exhaust manifold, which isn t an urgent fix. They ran codes, did an inspection and test drove it, and I was only charged a diagnostic fee. No mention of the camshaft or engine having issues. They said my engine light coming on was probably just a fluke. Long story short, don t get scammed at Emily s, just take your car to the dealership. Will save you time, stress and money.

Very, veryyyy disappointed in this referral. Got my car towed last minute before closing. Talked to the company about working on my car and not rushing it. It took them months to even look at it, I was okay w that tho. I stayed in connection with them. The manager wanted to take a look himself, took about another month. He said he was going to check out scrap prices for me. Didn't get a call back for awhile, called , he was on vacation. Called a few weeks later to check in on the status and I was told they got rid of my car.... Basically the owner came in and pointed out a bunch of cars, said what's going on, call the owners and get the cars out... Crazy thing is I called back same day or next day and he said my car was taken. I asked, do I not stay in communication with you and always return your call and get back to you ASAP, Norman the supervisor agreed. I had a brand new rim never driven on I could've resold and got junk for my car. I'm highly disappointed. Owner has failed to respond to emails. This shop seems to be to overwhelmed. DO NOT EVER GO HERE**Update, it's been about a month since I've EMAILED the shop owner Emily 2 times and I STILL have not received a call back or email back. Pretty sad.This is supposed to be a women ran shop that I was happy to support , nahhhh. Emily just puts a bad picture for mechanics.DO NOT TRUST YOUR VEHICLE HERE.

Stay away! I ve had two bad experiences here. They cater to ride share drivers I thought I would be a good place to get my brakes done. I paid over $400 to have my front brakes and disks replaced. They told me I have a 12 month warranty on the brakes. Within 2 months my front brakes began to go bad again. I took it back to them and that s when they informed me it was 12 months or 12k miles. I was over the miles by 50 total miles. They would not honor the warranty for their brake job. I will never come back here again.

Great experience here! I first had an oil change and suspension check due to abnormal noises. They diagnosed and walked me through a detailed price sheet and pictures of what was wrong/what needed to be replaced. I loved the transparency. I ve dealt with other shops trying to push unnecessary work. Emily s is not like that, at all. They were also very accommodating when I was concerned about a high pitch noise after the repairs. They told me to come in the next day and that they would take a look. Which they did very quickly (and they were super busy). Turned out it was just a small adjustment that Emily herself sat down and explained to me. Which I really appreciated! I also love the waiting area. Super clean and open with lots of seating. I was able to get work done while I waited for the oil change. Highly recommend taking your car here!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Oil change

Not sure why they completed a vehicle inspection and not the oil change requested. This is the 6th time I've been told they will call me for an appointment. They never take your contact information, so how do you get called for your appointment?

Wonderful service. When I get an oil change from the chain places, they often tell me I need air filters, even though I know I don't. They tell me my wipers are bad, even though I know the wipers are fine. I am confident only items I needed were taken care of. They have a wonderful gal at the desk. This is really disappointing. My sister went in to have the rear gate latch on her jeep fixed, she was so excited to take her car to a women owned company. They called to let us know that the gate latch was working and the car was ready to be picked up, when she picked up the car we noticed the gate didn t work before we drove away, they tried to pry it open and when they couldn t, handed her the keys and said you re not under warranty because you provided the part and claimed the part was defective we wondered why they didn t just come clean if the part was defective and not lie to us that it was working. Later we tried to call again to fix the situation, and the person on the phone of the Burien location laughed at my sister very loudly and claimed the part was fine, but the car has body damage, but nobody told us? We asked to speak to a higher up, and when they refused we mentioned the negative reviews recently about similar issues. The person on the phone dramatically said she won t be threatened and hung up, I m really shocked at how this business treats it s customers and their vehicles, it s especially so disappointing because my sister was so excited about taking her car to a place that felt safe for women.

The front staff was great, HOWEVER, I DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE AT ALL. First brought car in & they replaced battery, crankshaft sensor & headlight ($712 total). I picked it up and as soon as I drove off the brake was sticking, so much so that car started smoking. They said I had to wait to bring it back until an appointment was available which was 1 week later. Brought it back, they removed & replaced brake power boost unit, bled brake fluid & replaced vacuum line ($1358). I picked it up and as soon as I drove off the clutch and brake were sticking. I called and they would not take a look at it for free to see if they accidentally damaged or disconnected something. They said even if we did, we wouldn't have the parts to fix it . WhaaaaaaaTF? Needless to say I will not be going back.Update- took my car to a new mechanic and they did indeed find my car was not reassembled correctly. A hydraulic line was left disconnected and a gasket was missing. They saw my brakes were at 2-3mm which Emily s garage mechanic did not even mention to me!! Think twice before taking your car to Emily s Garage in Burien.
