Such an informative and upfront mechanic here. Mr. Matsuda will tell you what needs fixed first, be up front about part cost and labor, and reassure you on what repairs can wait.Thanks to his know how I can budget and plan much easier for future repairs and maintenance. They work fairly quickly depending on the job needed, and my car already runs and handles better.I needed fresh brake discs and brakes on my front end. All together I paid around $500. From everywhere else I've tried this price is fairly consistent give or take.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Every review about Eizo is true. This man is god sent! Honest, reliable, generous with his time and energy; qualities hard found in many mechanics.I came here initially since my Prius had finally hit 200k miles on it. Eizo did a thorough check up on the car taking 3+ hrs, the charge? $0.00 I couldn't believe it! He took pictures of everything wrong with the car, giving me options and pricing but recommended that proceeded with only a band air approach as the car was running on its last legs.When bringing it in for oil changes, he recommended that I buy oil from Walmart as it would function the same as his but would be cheaper. Instead of making money off of me, he recommended the best option for me.Alas my car didn't run for much longer, instead of recommending me to fix the systems he just suggested that I buy a new car which I ended up doing.My experiences with Eizo have been nothing but stellar. It has been 2 years since I moved out of WA, and I still miss Eizo. He is a patient and friendly tech that is most of all, trustworthy and does meticulous job. He ensures that each car worked is done properly and gives a nice picture print out of the job(s) done. For older car owners, this man is perfect as he never tries to upsell you and always recommend the actual necessary work to keep your car in good health and for your safety, and nothing more.

Eizo is highly skilled engineer and is very knowledgeable about cars. He finds out any small clue which may be potential issue. Also, Apex auto pricing is very customer friendly. Ive lost trust with most dealerships service centers. Luckily a friend turned me to apex. I ve been taking all our cars here since then. Honest, quick and thorough service. Takes pictures of what he does and the showing the worn part side by side with new parts. Eizo will take the time to explain things and answer my numerous questions.Pros: honest and thoroughCons: far from where I live but worth the drive

Honest. Helpful. Knowledgeable. It's hard to find a shop like this and I hope to remain a customer for life. Eizo has gone out of his way to give advice to me over the phone and in-person. Perhaps my favorite part is that you can tell he has a fix-the-root-cause mentality rather than just opting for replacing parts as a first step. I feel confident when driving my car out of his shop. And the photos he takes of all the work he has done to show you at the end? So thoughtful :)

So first of all: I haven't used them for repairs yet, but I called them about a service issue because of good reviews here.The person I spoke to on the phone (didn't catch a name) was *incredibly* helpful and honest and said that my problem (a gutless engine plus dead speedometer) sounded like a sensor issue that his shop wasn't equipped to diagnose, and directed me to the local dealership. Didn't make a dime off the call, and he was willing to take ten minutes to discuss it with me and direct me to his competitor's service.How rare is that level of helpfulness and honesty in this day and age?? I know I'll be using Apex for other repairs going forward!

Such a nice guy. He helped me after closing replacing my head lights and when I went to pay him he said not to worry about it. I will be taking my car to him from now on. And the next time I do I will be definitely giving him a tip. Best mechanic experience I have ever had.

I'd used Apex Auto Services for many years when I lived in Seattle. The owner, Mr. Eizo Matsuda, is the most honest and kindhearted mechanic I've ever met. He is extremely knowledgeable about cars, and is very passionate about helping his customers. He never recommended me to do unnecessary services, and saved me from a lot of headaches. Unfortunately, I moved to a different state, so I cannot take my car to his shop anymore. I can't say enough about this place! Eizo Matsuda spent 45 minutes going over issues that others suggested I review and my own concerns. He was happy to point things out to me and was not condescending at all, which is common as I am a woman. I am familiar with cars and he answered my specific questions frankly. Highly recommend! I won t take my car anywhere else. The owner is delightful to work with and really took his time explaining what needed to be done with my car. He left a laminated write up with before and after photos of what he worked on for my records. Very happy with the service and price point.

Eizo is amazing. He is super honest, gives solid advice on the options you have for repairs, and is a pleasure to work with. I can't recommend him enough. If you have a Japanese car in Seattle this is the place to take it.

I've gone to Apex Auto for years; they're the best mechanics I've ever used for my cars. I m rating this based on my experience over the phone. That tells you something. He s just an amazing and honest mechanic. He went out of his way on consulting me about an aftermarket brake job without even meeting me in person. I will absolutely come here for my other needs in the future.

I have a 1990 Corolla Wagon and Eizo at Apex Auto Services and his staff have always done an excellent job of taking care of it. He is very knowledgeable, shows pictures of the actual work and parts he has worked on. He works very carefully- some of the parts were rusted in place but he took the time to gently work them loose with lubricants. He does only what is needed. I've had timing belt replaced, tensioner, camshaft and crankshaft seals, valve cover gasket, fuel filter, air filter, distributor and rotor and pvc valve and spark plugs replaced in 2008. This year, May 2014, we had the brakes worked on, transmission filter replaced and a new thermostat and replacement of a cracked exhaust manifold. The car has been running great throughout this time. We've done 2 round trips to New Mexico without problems. His attention to detail, knowledge, and skill is superb. He is really a nice fellow. He is truly gifted. I'm glad he is young enough to outlast me because I do not want any other mechanic servicing my car.

Eizo runs a tight shop. I've gone to Apex for 11 years, since Georgetown, and no bad experiences. On any big work, from timing belt to motor mounts to brake jobs, he completes it on schedule, first pass, and photo documents it to boot. When I had multiple problems on an aging Civic he triaged and stack ranked the "must fix now/safety issues" to the "needs fixing but can wait". He respects his customers and he's earned my business.

The best Japanese Vehicle Mechanic around. (Note: they don't do Kia or other brands)Moving from their south Seattle location where they were also the best - you won't find a better or more honest mechanic around. Mechanic is actually incorrect as technician fits more of what they do. High quality work with amazing dective skills I've pulled a car up and gotten a diagnosis on the spot for many problems.I've been a customer over 15 years and won't even buy another type of vehicle now, because if Apex doesn't work on it I don't really want to own it. (Except for my Vespa - whole different thing).I've never been over-charged and never given a repair I didn't need. I would give this place more stars if it were possible.

Best mechanic! trustworthy, excellent service, and just all round amazing. The mechanic takes pictures of everything that needs to be replaced so you can see the before and after pictures. He doesn't replace something that doesn't need to be replaced.

Excellent service & honest mechanics that will ask what's wrong before doing any work and they'll take pictures of all the work that's done. The Best place to fix your or U can buy a used car too.
