I am so impressed with Joe's Automotive and their staff. This place was recommended to me by a few co-workers who take their vehicles there for service. I took my car in for an oil change last week. Unfortunately, it was determined that I had a brake issue and needed to get them repaired. Nobody wants to hear about a massive bill to pay especially in our current economy. When I was paying for my oil change, Shannon was very candid with me and let me know that if I went to a larger chain store then I would pay less for the brake job due to the other places ordering parts in bulk. The next day I let her know that I would be bringing my car back to them and that I appreciated the honesty in pricing. Being a small business owner myself, I know how important it is to support other small local business owners. They will be my go-to auto repair place from now on!

Communication was good.Service time was about what I expected. My vehicle is how I make my income so time is very critical to me. I wish the break-down would have happened on a Monday instead of losing the whole weekend, plus Monday, which are my best money days. I work seven days a week. The cost was 2 times what I expected and I had to find financing. Luckily Napa auto Care has Synchrony Bank for emergency financing. It only took me 10 minutes to get qualified. The receptionist Shannon was quick, informative, and Friendly with finalizing the repair transaction process.

My 22 year old suburu with only135,000 miles on it was feeling very old. The engine is strong but interior moisture, turning noise, and overall condition was questionable and it had been years since a tune up. Joe's took it in within a day or two, had it a few days and returned it, approx. $800, and my car has been running fantastically for the last couple months The front desk is great to work with, and Joe just hangs with cars and works magic. I was wondering about selling the car. No longer! My car is ready for another 100,000 miles, thanks to Joe's. Great place to trust your car!

This was my first time at a Repair shop and I am incredibly grateful! I had my Santa Fe diagnosed, replaced the axle, and rotors/ calipers/ brakes all within 2 days. It went fast easy and smooth. I was texted my quote and got an explanation throughout my whole experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and genuine! This was money well spent for my working Santa Fe My little family Thanks you!

Joe s auto repair is the best! I took my 2004 Honda Element in for a check engine light and asked for them to take a look around to see if there were any major problems. I haven t had a car payment in almost 20 years and wanted to keep this old girl running. They kept me updated on their findings and the cost to repair. I had a few things that needed attention and once again, I was updated on the progress. Very professional and fair in repair costs. I highly recommend Joe s Repair.

So I don't usually write reviews, but I feel it is necessary in this case.I originally had my car towed to Joe's Automotive as my car battery was drained(0.01V display from multimeter), I recently just installed a new alternator, brand new terminals/connectors for the battery, and a remanufactured starter.All the attempts to start had drained what charge was left from the battery, and I suspected the starter was bad and possibly draining the battery.To their credit they got the car started, but the only change was slightly different cable angle on the starter & alternator, and severely damaged battery terminals that look like they have been smashed in with a hammer, and tightened so tight that they can no longer be removed.I took before and after photos of the engine, and these are the only things that were altered, so I can only determine that they charged my battery successfully and slightly changed the angle of the battery connections, and then smashed in my terminals so they could no longer be removed.I was then charged $280 for this privilege. The only saving grace was that they also confirmed the starter was bad, which I thought was the case anyway, and once I swapped out and reinstalled a new starter it functions properly. (The starter ended up melting the testing device used at the location I bought the starter...)TLDR: They recharged my battery, shifted cable placement, smashed in my battery terminals so they are now permanent battery fixtures, and charged me almost $300 for that amazing service...Edit for owner response:Which specific wire are you claiming to have melted? There are only three wires/cables that connect to the starter, the positive battery cable, the starter solenoid wire, and the negative battery cable to ground. None of which were replaced OR melted.Do you have any pictures of these melted mystery wires?The bolts were also not tightened to the point that the report claimed, as my wireless ratchet wrench is not physically capable of tightening them to that degree, as it automatically stops when it meets resistance. It cannot overtighten things.The alternator was also installed correctly, there are only two connections to the alternator and both were fully connected and in the same locations before and after pickup."would never damage parts of the vehicle to get things back on."My mangled battery terminals beg to differ, as my attached pictures can attest. They were brand new and installed that same day actually, not a scratch on them until they were brought to you guys. The damage didn't just magically appear on its own.

My sunroof drain was super clogged, and I dropped my car off late Thursday for the issue. Joes Automotive took care of that issue promptly and got my vehicle back to me the next day early in the morning. They do great work, are honest, and one of the better priced mechanics in Bellingham. Joes has taken care of me every time I needed them and I truly recommend you consider them if you need auto help/repair.Service: Auto water leak repair

I ve been looking for a mechanic in avoidance of the dealership think I found the place. They were really quick to get my truck in, did the repairs quickly, seemed reasonable on costs, and everyone really was quite friendly. So far, couldn t asked for muck more.Thank you-

My van broke down while I was traveling through Bellingham and I contacted Joe s to take on the repair. They looked over my van ahead of schedule, and when the issue wasn t one they could fix they didn t charge me for the inspection. Receptive and communicative.

I had to replace the Distributor (Optispark) in my classic 94' Z28 Camaro, and the Techs at Joe's had no problems. I also had them change all the Spark Plugs and Plug Wires a very labor intensive project, which I could never do at home. They replaced my Fuel Filter and an Oil Change, all done in a professional manner. Have been a customer for years. A very trustworthy shop. I've taken my car in for what I thought were major problems and they let me know it is just a minor fix and charge me a accordingly. They easily could have charged me for the major fix and I would not have known the difference. Honest, family owned business. Joe's has the best mechanics and most friendly and knowledgable manager, Izzy. They quickly diagnose, guarantee their work and treat you with courtesy and respect. I've had my 2006 Honda Civic serviced here and starter replaced, which was fast and affordable! Thank you Joe's! This is a very excellent family owned business to go to. Believe you me Joes have attended to 04 Bonniville Pontiac and the service is above and beyond in fixings the cars and explaining as to what the issue is. Izzy the receptionist and the two dogs are a joy greetings when you enter the shop. The rates are very fair.By all means give Joes Automotive Repair a go! You will love the service just as I have.

I have taken my cars to Joe s many times. They are always kind, flexible and most importantly honest. I had one issue that I thought was initially going to be expensive but after they took a look they found a much cheaper alternative that saved me around $600. I took my car to have a mechanical issue looked at and my oil changed. What I like about Joe s Automotive Repair is how thorough they are in telling me what they did and possible problems that could happen in the future. They have never try to sell me something I don t need! This is important to me because it has happened to me before where another car repair shop told me I needed something I didn t.
