Very kind guy in the shop. Flexible with fitting my truck into the schedule. With all the highend repair shops surrounding this one I almost didn't call here. Glad I did!! What I loved the most was he took the time to show me exactly what he was talking about before he did any work. Will definitely be using this shop again!!

I m so glad I chose to have my car towed to Surrey North when it broke down. They did an amazing job fixing my car in just a few days and charged a more than reasonable price for all the work. Honest and generous mechanics here!

Cliff was awesome and best service I received. My cars wiper fluid would empty every time it was used and places were going to charge a couple hundred just to take a look at it. This was one of the few places that agreed to look at it for free and once he/the mechanic realized the problem, a mouse had chewed through the line, it was fixed and they had me on my way without any hassle and didn t take any money from me despite them taking time out of their day to help me out due to it being a simple patch up. Support this small great business, wonderful service. Makes the place really stand out.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I took my car to local Nissan dealership service center for quick oil change. After oil service is done Nissan service told me my car needs break fluid flush for contamination and engine mount needs replacement. I decided to find local repair shop instead of getting them done at the dealership. So I called few shops. Among the shops I called Bruce at the Surrey North Auto offered most reasonable price for engine mount repair. Also he will test the break fluid for me at no charge. And Bruce seems to have best knowledge on the engine mount than any other shops I called. Bruce did excellent job on the repair for the engine mount under half the price of what the dealership quoted. He also told me that he tested break fluids and found nothing wrong with the fluid. Bruce did the repair in just couple of hours. I strongly recommend Surrey North Auto repair for any auto jobs. Bruce is very honest and very experienced. I am so happy I finally found good mechanic in my town. Never ever trust dealership for any of your car repairs , they will rob you. Bao.H

Traveling through the area from out of state and had car trouble that could have resulted in serious damage to my engine. Bruce was kind enough to get me in right away and literally saved my trip, as he knew it would be a fairly quick fix. He was very knowledgeable, straightforward, honest, and fair. He didn t try to sell me something I didn t need and got me fixed and back on the road in good time. It felt like I was in my local auto shop with a friend as opposed to just another shop in a big city where they don t give a dang about you. If I lived anywhere in the area I would go out of my way to go back here for any car service needs.

I stumbled upon Surrey North Auto Repair by accident. I was looking for someone to, essentially, provide an hour of consulting time at the shop rate to help me troubleshoot an electrical issue I have in my 1959 Jeep. I went to a shop in the same complex as Surrey North, and while I was in there, Bruce, the owner of Surrey North, came over to check out my Jeep. The shop I was in said "Bruce is your guy" and I went a few doors down. We spent 2-3 hours not only talking about the weather, but also troubleshooting the electrical issue in my Jeep. He created a wiring diagram for me, suggested parts to buy and said if I get stuck to give him a call. Even better, he also has an interest in Jeeps, so it's like I'm getting personalized "how-to" consulting! I am so impressed with Bruce and his truthful demeanor, I'll be taking all of our vehicles to his shop. Regarding some other posts about cost or pricing, I asked Bruce what his hourly shop rate is, and I found it on par with other (dwindling) shops in the west Bellevue area. Sure, I could find ever-so-slightly-cheaper 10+ miles away, but you get what you pay for. I'm happy to pay a good rate for someone with honesty, integrity and who lays out all the options so I/the customer can make the best decision given all the data available.

This place is a bunch of conartist. They will break your car and steal your money. I took my car in just to get it looked at , before a long road trip and they said that the radiator and needed a new engine. Mine you the car drove fine before they touched it, I said I would have to get a second opinion, so I picked the car up and on the way home the car broke down on the freeway. I was stuck a single women walking half a mile to the next exit with a semi truck almost hitting me because of this Surrey. Not only should the owner go to jail for fraud they should be in jail for attempted man slaughter. Protect yourself and avoid this place at all cost.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have gone to Bruce at Surrey North Auto Repair for almost 15 years now, and he has always been fair, honest, and done good work. He has always been competitive with other bids I've gotten, and is willing to offer advice when I want to do part or all of a repair myself. I can usually get on his schedule within 1-2 days. Just Bruce (owner) and one other mechanic. I highly recommend this shop!

Great guys, helped me to diagnoze my machine which stopped working. Transmission failed. They've helped me to get the best solution (reminded me about transmission warranty), so thank them so much! Great and quick service

**I would do 0 stars if I could** Came into this place expecting to use a groupon we bought, despite the bad reviews we still tried it out. They get the oil change done in roughly an hour and a half, we come back and are greeted by Scott (the owner) with no mask on. He drags on about his life story that no one asked for, berates his employee in front of us, tries to sell us over-priced air filters and then goes on to tell us he does not accept groupons. Keep in mind, this man is saying he s going to give us a discount and only charging for the cost of the filters- which was a straight up lie. He was about to make us pay over $120 for an oil change, and says he s gonna take off the cost of the labor, coming out to $68. This place is a rip off, the owner is a joke, and the employees deserve better.

I use Surrey North for both my cars and my work also uses them for all the trucks.Bruce is very honest will not have you fix things that are not needed and will give you options. I can make my appointments and always know he will get it done or call me way ahead of time so I can make arrangements.His pricing is always fair. I can always depend on his workmanship.I would not take my cars anywhere else.

Edit: I'm very sad that the old owner has retired... it is not as organized as it used to be and I don't like the new owner...We have been customers for 5 years. Whenever we buy a used car, we always bring it there for an exam first. The mechanic is very knowledgeable and friendly. I still remember the time when we went to him for a wired oil light. He immediately recognized the problem, explained to us and resolved it in like 5 minutes. Didn't even charge us. He always explains the possible problems and causes when we bring the car in for diagnostics. Check engine light on for several weeks and car was shaking. Tried to schedule an appt with dealership for a month and earliest appt was 2 months away. I made an online appt with this shop and my car was in the next morning.First service and the owner (who is also a mechanic) was unable to reproduce the faulty issue. He suggested we move stuff around and wait for the check engine to come on again, then he would know for sure what the issue is. Charged me $120 for his 1 hour of time which is reasonable.Check engine light came on again and I took it in again, next day appt too! The owner found the issue, bad coil, and replaced it. Charged me $180 for parts and labor. If the issue came back or the part was faulty he would replace it for free.Overall I spent ~$300, came to his shop twice, and spent 2 1/2 hours without my car. It doesn't get any better than this folks. He was professional, timely, and he even said "let's just replace this part so you don't have to pay more than what's needed." I will be coming back to this shop and I highly recommend this shop to anyone.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I have been using Surrey North for about 20 years. I happened to see some negative reviews and they appear to be very incorrect. The name of the owner is ic incorrect in them and the way the owner treated the customer in each instance is very different from what I have experienced. I have referred several people to this place and all have been pleased.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The lady at the front desk was very polite and quickly helped me. She got the owner of the shop to diagnose my car he was very easy going and quickly fixed my problem with in minutes. I walked into this place without calling so I wasn t expecting to be a priority but he stopped what he was doing to take a look at my car. I highly recommend this place they seem like fair people who work fast and aren t out to get you.

Very nice guy and he didn't do any work that was not needed which is tough to find from a mechanic in my experience. The reason he does not get 5 stars is it is very very expensive. $275 for an old change and brake fluid flush. Much cheaper than new brakes but $100 for an oil change is more than double what I have ever paid before. I think it is just Bellevue prices...

Husband and wife team who are honest, compassionate and fun! Great mechanic and people! Happy to do business with them. Best part, Bruce does not mansplain or assume females don't know anything about cars! Treats everyone equally.

Bruce was very helpful. We are driving through, from Utah, and our car was suddenly having issues. We called many repair shops for help but no one could see us for another day or even later. We called him at 8:15am and he said to come right away and he'd take a look. He helped reassure us and likely diagnosed the issue, which we will get repaired after our trip. Thank you!

Called one shop to inquire about a smoke test and got a quote for 3 hours of labor, roughly $300 just for the test. Called Bruce here at Surrey, and he quoted me a half hour. He found the leak and we got it squared away before day's end. Fast, friendly, and fair. Definitely recommend!

Bruce and his team are fast, friendly, and fair. I dropped off my truck in the morning on the way to work, and picked it up on the way home. They did a great job. That engine has never sounded better.

I found the owner to be very knowledgeable and honest, which goes a long way in this industry. My car was having some serious issues that were diagnosed and repaired within a matter of days. Would definitely recommend Surrey!

I was in town for training from work. I came right away. They got me in and out in a timely manor. Polite and honest. Always support small businesses! I will definitely drive here again if I ever have issues. Well worth it.

Our 1995 Toyato Land Cruiser got stuck in park when we were in Bellevue staying at a hotel. We called and the gentleman on the phone walked us through how to fix our issue and get on the road back home. He was amazing!!

Went to Surrey North and before he even pulled my truck in the garage, he had diagnosed the problem. Did a great job explaining everything to me, and even took me into the shop to show me how something works that was an issue with my vehicle. Would recommend to friends.
