Most of the other shops would say, "we will do the whole job for you but we can't do that." I do most of the work on my own vehicles as any person should at least try to do with availability of information, although availability of certain tools to do certain jobs is difficult. For a VERY reasonable fee they completed the task I needed, very well I might add, and in the same day!! Will have my business for a while to come .

The guys at Cam1 are great! I've been able to get in rather quickly each time they are needed. Prices are fair and the work is always completed quickly as well! I would recommend Cam1 to anyone :)

Went in to refresh my engine and bore cylinders. They gave me a 4-6 week wait time before it would be complete. It took them a WHOLE YEAR to finally get started on the engine. I kept calling them multiple times a month for updates and they always gave me the same response that the machine guy is not there but they ll ask and give me a call back. They never give you a call back. After a having the engine for a whole year they told me that the new pistons I had wouldn t fit the block. After a WHOLE YEAR of having it!!! After I called them and found that out it took me 2 weeks to find a new block that worked. I called and asked what they ve done to the other engine and they notified me that they only bathed it. I told them not to do anything else that all I want now is just for the new block to get refreshed and board out. Three months after giving them the new block it was finally completed. Went I went to go pick up the block and old engine I found out that after I told them to only to touch the new block they went ahead and did maintenance on the old head. So now I have the correct block a head that doesn t fit that they charged me for and on top of all they they lost my oil plan and are telling me that they can t find it. I had a HORRIBLE experience with cam 1 would never recommend.

We needed a catalytic converter replaced quickly on our RV which thieves stole while it was in storage. Cam-1 went out of their way to help us out, as we needed to get to our daughter s who is expecting a new baby any minute. Excellent service at a reasonable cost.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Had a vintage Volkswagen bug motor they did an awesome job on doing a line bore and bearings service. I drove more than 50 miles to do business with cam1 . Referred from another business I was totally happy with the service I got very good customer service quality work. Feel I really got my money's worth..!!! Bob Hubbard....

I brought my old Toyota to Cam1 to do a timing adjustment and carb adjustment. Timing was like 7 degrees retarded... they got it running much better than it was before and charged me exactly what they quoted me. Good work at a very fair price. I'm glad places like this are still around. Not to mention all 3 guys I dealt with were very helpful and friendly.

I have taken all of my vehicles here for years and always had positive experiences. In fact, recently we had some maintenance and a starter replaced. Not even 2 weeks later the vehicle would not start again. Took the vehicle back to the shop, they had a brand new starter in it that day with no cost to us, faulty starter! Things happen, vehicles breakdown, especially old used ones. I appreciate the straight forward approach and knowledge provided by my mechanic at this shop, very reasonably priced and thankful they have been so helpful to us for many many years! Definite lifetime customer!

I went there to get a quote on some work I wanted done on my car. I gave them some of my information. They told me that they wouldn't call me the next day. It's been 2 full days & nothing back. So I do not recommend them.

I definitely would NOT recommend this place of business.I took in my 68 VW in back in March. Because this was a brand new rebuilt, I asked Kerry to check everything and make it run worthy so I would not have to worry about any problems. He was to fix all the wiring on the gauges I had added, tweak the carbs, add the choke adjust the clutch; fix the heating system and an oil leak.Long story short, I took it back 4 times because it was not running right and NONE of my gauges worked.I was going on vacation so I told them to keep it until it was right and everything was working.They found something in the wiring that they missed the first time and purchased a new gauge telling me it was ready. When I went to pick it up, they wanted to charge me another $400.00 for fixing the wiring. I told them I would pay for parts but that should have been included in the first payment back in March (this is now June). He gave me the $ figure for parts, and told me never to bring it back.On my way home, the car broke down in the middle of rush hour traffic. It was 95 degrees outside and I had to wait 2 hours for a tow truck to come and get me from the middle of the road.Worst $1000.00 I have ever spent!!!

They replaced the exhaust on my 05 Tahoe within a day at a reasonable price. Great work, no issues. Will return for my other vehicles when needed.

If you have an old school car (i.e. 70's era musclecar, etc.) and you're looking for honest, reliable work done by knowledgeable technicians at reasonable cost then this is the place for you. I searched all over asking questions and researching auto repair facilities in the local area until I learned about Cam 1 Automotive via a personal referral. CAM-1 technician "Richard" and CAM-1 owner Carey Mahoney are really cool guys who KNOW THEIR STUFF! I brought my '70 Chevelle in for multiple repairs including carburetion, timing, leaking intake manifold, and several other items. Not only did they address the problem areas I pointed out, but along the way they found and fixed other associated problems while making improvements that enhanced the car's overall performance, reliability and driveability! Not only that, but my car was freshly washed - clean and spotless when I arrived to pick it up! I am extremely pleased and satisfied with Cam-1 - they are a QUALITY repair facility!

Went here to put exhaust on my truck. They quoted me $120 and looked at it, 2 days later I bring in my truck and they do the exhaust, my bill comes up to $228. Very Un pleased with the place.

Get a detailed receipt. Ask a lot of questions. The Owner DID give me back my money (motor rebuild failure), after a lot of stressful crap, (except the tax). Had to get the work re-done elsewhere. Attitude was ambivalent about the whole thing. All in all not exactly pleasant.
