Renting out both locations and kicking out the public for months and unknown time for public use to return. Extremely disappointing as I need to do work that needs a lift. Was an amazing shop to work on your own vehicle from previous experience.Maybe invest in opening a separate business for renting out to big companies that can t seem to afford their own shops (Rivian)

Best self Service Garage I've ever been to. It's so clean and organized. They have every tool you might need. The staff was exceptional and kind. I wish you guys weren't temporarily closed. When will you open again?

Would highly recommend. Very clean, kind staff, good condition tools. Having a lift is super helpful. They had everything I needed to do the brakes on my Golf R, and while I was there I did an oil change too.

This was well worth the trip. Q the mechanic on duty was 150% helpful. Very knowledgeable and new his way around my car. Helped me locate the crankshaft sensor and in general was all purpose. I highly recommend this shop for people looking to learn about their vehicle, dodge the rip off fees of a shop and have access to a repair shop with all the tools you need. Cannot say enough good. A auto repair shop wanted to force me to do a diagnostic test, buy the parts they order and pay their labor and leave my car. Easily $450-$600. Did the diagnostic at O'Reilly auto for free. Paid $32.50 for my sensor and $60 for the shop space. Total cost $92.50 versus $450-$600. I will frequent this establishment for future repairs.

They also have 10mm. Was quoted $1200 in labor to change out my brakes by multiple shops. Guy said its 3hrs per wheel. I was not about to pay $1200 for just labor, on top of parts. So I went to Stews Self Service and ended up taking about an hour per wheel. meaning $200 vs $1200. It was my first time really working on my car, and the guys at the shop checked on me often and gave me tips and tricks. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Every tool I could ever need was provided, the workspace was clean, and they even took the junk parts off my hands. 10000/10 would recommend!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Auto maintenance, Auto brake replacement

I have using Stews Garage for some time now. I always have a phenomenal experience for my oil changes! Where else can you go and spend $20.00 to utilize a hoist, all the needed tools, gloves, towels, and they also dispose your old oil, filter, and empty oil containers? You can't beat this do it yourself garage!I have some repair projects coming up, and will be utilizing Stews Garage!Stew and his staff are excellent and knowledgeable to aide you in all you vehicle project needs!

What a lifesaving place. So glad to have a lift as it's safer and so much better then crawling on my back. The facility is spotless and the tools are in great shape. The toolbox is well equipped and they have specialty tools upon request. The crew is very courteous and helpful and they were a pleasure to work with. This will be my go-to place from now on.

We had the best experience here! It was mine and my boyfriend s first time ever working on a car (beyond a headlight or battery swap) and they were so helpful explaining the lift and how to use unfamiliar tools. Everyone was so friendly and approachable when we had questions. We ll absolutely be back and will recommend this business any chance we get.Services: Transmission, Oil change

They had all of the tools on hand necessary for me to complete my intercooler upgrade project. Was amazing to have a lift to use at a really good price overall. Will definitely return for future projects.

I had a fantastic experience at the Auburn facility. The staff on duty that day were super friendly and helpful. They fully explained everything and checked in a couple times to make sure everything was ok. I'll definitely be back. My old achy knees and back appreciated the lift and it was nice going to the tool drawer and finding what I needed.Services: Tires, Vehicle Inspection, Auto maintenance

I had an amazing experience with Ben and his team. Their willingness to answer my questions and walk me through my work was truly beyond helpful. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming and inclusive, regardless of one's skill level. Needless to say, I'll definitely be back!

Have come back now twice and love it here. First time I tried it out and was there for 2 hours and I did a minor service on my Mercedes C250. Hoists are nice and new, stainless steel countertops are very useful with plenty of space, pretty much all the tools you need to do everyday work is available including torque wrenches, specialty tools are in the Tool room and the staff is wonderful and very helpful. Only thing I recommend is maybe torque sticks for the lug bolts versus fondling the torque wrench. My second time back I had another great experience and I will be back again end of next week to perform a full transmission service on the Mercedes-Benz and I'm glad to see they have the filling tools that I need to do the job right.I've been in the automotive industry since 1985, had the exciting life with the BMW racing team in the 1990's and now Automotive corporate. It's good to be getting my hands dirty again working on my own car and "for me" it's very relaxing and I enjoy Stewes Self Service Garage,, and also helping the other guys out when they're working on their cars.Update one week later from above: I'm back for the third time performing more service work on my car. I met Nick, he was very helpful obtaining a digital temperature gun which I was then able to perform a full transmission service on the Benz which requires 45� c on the transmission temperature. Thank you Nick for driving all the way to Federal Way to buy a quality digital temperature gun.

Great concept. I find Stews really beneficial as a renter. Staff was very helpful. Having a lift makes some jobs go much easier. Get the satisfaction of knowing the job was done right.

Stews self service is now occupied by a vehicle repair company doing repairs for a company fleet.So no self service!

What a amazing concept. Stew and his team were amazing. Clean and safe environment. They have everything you need and if they dont have it they will get for you. I can't recommend them enough. Can't wait for my next project.

Edit 9/28/23Really disappointed to see the decision to rent both shops exclusively to a private company, and close completely to the public. Great shop and incredibly friendly staff! Highly recommend!

Great place to take your car and work on if you're a diy type of person. Every tool u would need to do an oil change, brake, rotor repair. Definitely will go there again.
