My 2013 Subaru Forester runs and drives better now than when I purchased it. They take the time to explain the unexplainable in layman's terms, then show you where the problem is happening. Import auto sport did an outstanding job on my truck. Jeff is very professional and knowledgeable about what he does. From start to finish of installing a new engine in my truck he kept detailed communication and answered all and any questions I had along the way. This bunch of crooks stole $12,000 worth of vehicles from me while I was in the hospital. The cars were in disabled parking with permits. Further, I had a lease with the complex where the cars were parked, allowing me 2 parking spaces. Between the owner and these gangsters, I lost a small sum from the theft of these 2 cars. There was no legal notices that the cars had been removed, of course because it was done illegally. If you get towed by these thugs, you will lose your car. And, they will steal your property that's in the car.

2 other shops, including a dealership looked at my Volvo and either misdiagnosed the problem or couldn t diagnose it. Over a 1000 dollars into the repair with zero progress I took it to Jeff at Import Autosports. That s when things changed; they diagnosed the problem in less than 30 minutes and fixed it in just over an hour. Now my car is running beautifully again and I couldn t be happier. Jeff and his team are fantastic, I d take my car there again in a heartbeat. I d give them 6 stars if I could!Services: Engine repair, Vehicle safety inspection

Had my Audi in here for several things that needed attention. I felt like they were honest and told me what needed to be taken care of and what could wait. And how much time I could get out of certain things like my brakes. It didn t take nearly as long as I thought either. Definitely recommend this shop!!!

Very competent people and great customer service would recommend them.This is the second time I have done business with them. Jeff and all the mechanics here are awesome. Jeff doesn't lie to you about the work you need, he doesn't over charge on parts. His guys are happy to personally show you, your car, and point explain what's going on. If your car is broke and so are you, Jeff won't sell you on 50 different repairs you can't afford. He will help you get back on the road, but he will make sure you understand that other things may need immediate attention. Jeff is an extremely busy man, constantly on the phone helping out Every one and dealing with day to day things, but never looms upset or stressed. It's like he is juggling 10 things at once, but he does it really well. Taylor his son did the new exhaust on my car just yesterday and damn he did good. I won't take my car anywhere else.Thanks Jeff to you, your team, and family. You know I will be a return customer.

A good friend of mine referred us to Jeff at Import Auto Sports and because I value her opinion, my husband Jeremy took his BMW there. It was a drive (Lake Stevens to Anacortes) but well worth it. Jeff is one of those rare mechanics who is honest and doesn t rake you over the coals. He took the time to determine what the problem was and it turned out it was something my husband could fix himself. He was amazing to work with, and the only mechanic we will take the BMW to. If I had to pick one word to describe him it would be integrity. Highly recommend!

We were vacationing with family in LaConner and our 06 BMW ZHP that my 18 year old son drove up starting making noises. Jeff was able to fit us in the schedule - and was able to get the work done by the time our stay was over and we had to head back home to Portland!The job was done - done right- and done for 1/3 the cost of an estimate for the same job here in Portland.I cannot recommend highly enough this shop and the folks that work there. Great shop great guys saved my car just in time for my baby to arrive! They are very nice group of guys who know their stuff and don't waste your time or money. Best mechanics I've ever met in a shop. These guys are awesome and so is their work!

I want to start off by saying that everyone who works at Import Autosport, including Jeff, are all excellent people. I have taken previous vehicles for various work to Jeff in the past and he has always been very straightforward with me about repairs and very fair on pricing.Recently, I took my 2015 VW GTI to Jeff to have a carbon cleaning service done on the engine, to remove built up carbon on the intake valves of my engine, which should be a rather easy process, especially with the machine that they use to do the service (it is semi-automated, and uses chemicals rather than walnut blasting). I was there for the service, and it was apparent at the time that the technician doing the service did not know how to do it for my vehicle. Once he contacted the manufacturer of the machine, he got to work.After some time, I walked over to the bay where they were doing the service to look at the machine and to see how things were going with the service. At this time, I noticed that the turbocharger and the downpipe were both glowing red hot, and the other mechanics were taking photos of this with their cell phones and laughing. This was very alarming to me, but I was assured multiple times by Jeff that this was normal for the service, so I trusted him with this.After the service was done, the check engine light stayed on, even after being cleared, and I later learned that the check engine light was for one of the O2 sensors being shorted to ground. I would later learn that the wire for the sensor melted due to the excessive heat from the exhaust. I would also later learn that a fuse blew from this, although that did not cause any damage itself.After taking the car back to Jeff to repair the melted O2 sensor, (which I do not think I should have paid for, because I did not damage it), Jeff mentioned that "a chunk of my CV boot was missing" and that the grease had splattered all over the place under the car. On top of that, after replacing the O2 sensor, a new check engine light came on, this time for error code P0420, which states, "catalyst system bank 1, efficiency below threshold".After sending photos to my regular mechanic at Pignataro VW in Everett, he explained to me that the exhaust getting overheated caused the wire to melt, the CV boot to melt, and the catalytic converter to melt as well. There may have also been irreparable damage done to the turbocharger. The cost for repairs for this failed service would have cost at least several thousand dollars.Due to Jeff blaming the overheating on my ECU tune, which is APR Stage 1, I knew I would not get any kind of help or re-imbursement from him, so I decided to take a loss, sell the car with these issues, and get a new car because getting a new car cost me less money than repairing all of the damage that his technician caused.I really do like Jeff and I believe that he is a good mechanic, but I do also believe that he is trying to play off the fact that his technician did not know how to perform the service, and that he should not have let the turbo and exhaust get so hot to the point that it melted the entire system, and surrounding components.I will NOT be taking any vehicles to Import Autosport in the future, and I will not be recommending his shop to anyone else that I know because of this.Services: Electrical repair, Exhaust, Auto engine tuning

Extremely professional, outstanding prices, and always honest. It's almost impossible to find a shop with as much integrity as Jeff and his crew. Their work ethic is the kind that you'd expect in the "old days", straight forward, honest, reliable.

I have never found a mechanic I can 100% trust until now. They might consider changing their name to Willy Wonka, because it s like having stumbled upon a golden ticket.I went to a DIFFERENT local highly rated place nearby who told me my brakes looked fine, when they were actually metal on metal. When I went back and asked them to explain why they said that, they told me it s just an estimation , I m not a tire guy , we have 60 cars coming in every day , and we can t see the tires in the pit . If Jeff didn t take the time to show me how to check my brakes myself, I may have almost believed that BS. People make mistakes in life, but I did not feel respected when the man interrupted several times to explain his story.Jeff, on the other hand, is not only incredibly smart, but has emotional intelligence as well. This is a rare find in most people. It s a family owned business with 3 goofy dogs on the property (SO DRIVE SLOWLY! ) I m very new to this town but with customer service like this It s slowly becoming my home.I will now only reccomend import automotive. Very helpful! The owner let us know they wouldn't be able to fit us in for a few days so spent a considerable amount of time on the phone giving me tips on how I could try to fix the issue myself. He was right about what the problem was and it was a quick fix. We need more people out there like this!

Best mechanic in the area. Jeff and his team do top quality work for reasonable prices. Very friendly and helpful. If you are in Skagit county I wouldn t go anywhere else. Highly recommend.

Worth every penny and trustworthy. I am in the process of buying a used 2010 Audi and the buyer's purchase inspection found some issues that could have cost me thousands in the near future. The dealer verified the issues and is working on taking care of them now. Without the inspection at IA, I would have been on the hook for all of it. Best $165 I have spent in a long time.

My experience was a mixed bag. On the one hand, the shop performed excellent work on some aspects of the repair job. But, it seemed sort of like they lost interest toward the end of work. For example, the exhaust system was largely replaced. However they didn't install a tail pipe. I informed them of this omission. Never heard back. After spending over two thousand dollars, I would think that they would have been glad of my business, and would be diligent in completing the work.

Before relocating, I took my vehicles there for 4 years. Jeff and his team know their stuff and very reasonably priced. He even offered to help me find a reputable mechanic in my new location.

Great employees and the owner is very easy to work with as well. In fact, you can bring in your own parts and just pay labor if you know exactly what is wrong or if it's just something simple like an oil change. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a local place to take my Porsche 987 Cayman near Anacortes/Oak Harbor. I had a timing issue that I was calling around to find a mechanic to look at. Import Autosport did not have the experience needed for that issue but Jeff was happy to call around and help point me in the right direction.Later when I hit 100k and wanted to do routine maintenance plus a few suspension fixes, I went to Import Autosport again.Jeff was able to take my suspension problems and maintenance and get them all resolved.His crew had a few issues with length of time due to uncommon car but Jeff was quick to make up for them.I'll continue to go to Import Autosport for my Porsche maintenance.
