A crew of experts who truly look out for the people. You can just tell, by their knowledge, the immediate willingness to help, and how apparent it is that so many people trust this shop and Rafa with their cars. The first thing Rafa said to me was a clear cut answer about my legal rights for a dealership issue I asked him about. His transparency was exactly what I was searching for. Rafa and his team of auto engineers were then able to diagnose major, deep rooted issues that had gone unsolved for 3 months, thanks to the level of care and attention to detail provided. Extremely grateful and would highly recommend

Been taking all my cars to him for over 5 years. Never been disappointed. I m a firm believer in getting things fix the first time around and so far he hasn t disappointed me. I send all my people to him. Best Mechanic in the DMV.

My kids and I were traveling from Hampton, VA to DC when my car decided to have an issue 50 miles from getting to our destination. I was not sure where I should try to take my car to be looked at and repaired, but I know I needed to find somewhere fast. I stopped at one auto repair shop and asked a young man if he could be of help to my situation, but he informed me that he could not. He then referred me to go to Rafa's which I took his advice and did go because I would have been stranded in Woodbridge for the night. However, I arrived at Rafa's and gave him a call which to my surprise he answered and was extremely helpful to me. Rafa found that I had a Misfire 2 (tube-up) which was causing my issue from continuing to my destination successfully. He was even nice to my two kids which they enjoyed playing the Mortal Kombat game while we waited for the car to be worked on. Mind you, the I just showed up out of nowhere and Rafa accommodated both my kids and I all while having other cars that were being serviced. The service took about a hour to a hour and a half. I would like to say thank you very much for getting my kids and I back on the road so that we could make it to the baseball game which we did enjoy. If I know someone or have people traveling towards the Woodbridge area with some sort of car trouble, I will recommend them to come to Rafa's based on the magnificent service I received in such a short yet unexpected time.

I took my car to him, my car was leaking.He charge me $531 and told me he fix some hose and next day, when I went to pick my car he said there is more problem. He was keep increasing his price he gave me prices very over $1100, after I offered to pay for my own parts.I took my car from him and gave to another car shop and got my car fixed for. $144.95.He is very dishonest, deceiver & liar.His tech, doesn t know, what they are doing, he said i need o change gasket s & thermostat as well.I took my car to Michigan Auto they fix my car for only $144.95.I recommend Michigan auto & Pep boys very honest car repair shop.

Moved to the area a year ago and was nervous on who to work on my baby . Rafa and his guys took care of me and for 1/2 the price and more work than other shops offered me!!!Truly amazing and a blessing Quick, effecient and great pricing!!!

This was the only shop that was open after 6pm. The bolt on my rear upper control arm broke and these guys took care of me. He was very thorough and stayed open almost an hour after they closed to get it done. 100% customer service oriented business and If I lived here I would only use them to take care of all my automotive needs. I'm super late posting this review but better late than never...I initially took my car to the Jeep dealership who wanted an arm and a leg to fix my car, and was going to cost thousands. I picked my car up from the dealership and brought it here for a second opinion, based on the decent reviews already posted.Mind you, I'm very wary of mechanics because as a woman, I do feel as though it's easy to take advantage. I got no such treatment here. I dropped off my car and received calls on exactly what was happening and what to expect, as well as upfront costs that were better than previously quoted. Its been a month or so and my car is performing just fine. I've since dropped in to get a tire plugged and was seen fairly quickly and then headed out on my way. Definitely my permanent mechanic.

This mechanic never ceases to amaze me. I drive from Spotsylvania to get my auto repairs done! NOBODY else can work on my vehicles. His prices are fair and he knows exactly what he is doin. His attitude is always positive and he will give it to you straight up time for repairs, cost, whether the repair is even worth it! He has many mechanics under him that are top notch as well. I would recommend Rafas to my grandma if she was still here!!! A+++

A very dishonesty and dissipative repair shop with hidden "shop fees" a total rip off place.Mechanics don't know what they are doing, DO NOT HAVE THE CORRECT TOOLS FOR REPAIR, cannot even read the tech manual to properly conduct the repair. They damaged other parts of my car that they were not supposed repair, but did not have the correct tool to remove the components. A VERY CHEAP PLACE, THIRD WORLD REPAIR SHOP.

We needed an O2 sensor replaced on our RV. There are about a dozen auto repair shops in this building. They all turned me down for various reasons until I came to Rafa. He immediately offered to help us. Very friendly service. Work was completed competently and at a reasonable price. Next time I will go to Rafa s first.

I visited for an oil change last week. It was my first time coming here, however I was immensely satisfied with my visit. The young lady at the front desk was incredibly kind and informed me of all the pricing s for different services. The oil change was done in a short amount of time and I was ready to go before I knew it. I appreciate how hands on the staff was and how welcomed they made me feel.

Rafa is your guy. His team of qualified and skilled mechanics go the extra step to make sure you re not getting ripped off. They genuinely care about all customers. If you need anything fixed go here don t waste your time at other shops being sold stuff your vehicle doesn t need. The dealer quoted me 2700 and rafa took care of it for 150$. I have been a customer of Rafa's since 2011 when he was at the Exxon Shop. Rafa and his staff are always professional, kind, and honest. I appreciate anytime any of my vehicles went down Rafa made it possible to get them in. His prices are very reasonable compared to others, he tries hard to get the work completed in a reasonable time. I cannot recommend this shop enough. I was driving on I-95 from Raleigh NC to visit friends in Alexandria VA when, 45 min from my final destination, just about every light on the dash came on in my 2015 Subaru Forester. Pulled over to the closest Advance Auto to get a code read, and when I saw the car throwing "moderate/severe" transmission codes, I wasn't comfortable taking it back on the highway, more or less 20 min away to the closest Subaru dealer, and searched for the closest mechanics nearby. I chose Rafa's based on their reviews, and I was not disappointed. I hadn't even opened the front door of the shop before Rafa himself greeted me from the garage and asked about what I was needing. I explained the situation, that I was afraid to drive the car not knowing the problem, and if he'd be willing to look at it. He was able to figure out the problem and did not pressure me to complete the work - asked if I wanted a quote to compare to anywhere else (or the dealer), and that if I was back in town, he could do the job. It had gotten late, I agreed to leave the car with them to work on, and actually cried under the stress of the situation. Rafa and his daughter working in the office treated me like family. He was able to specially pick up Subaru parts from a dealer and do a valve body replacement & computer reprogramming in a short turnaround time from Friday evening-Monday, allowing me to get back home to Raleigh without missing work. I likely would've paid more at a dealer and wouldn't have been prioritized over other jobs - they often get out-of-towners with car problems off I-95 and prioritize them over local "no-rush" jobs ok'd by the customer. I When I picked the car up, he took it for a test drive with me and explained the repair, and reassured me that it would be safe to drive my remaining 3.5 hours home between 8-11:30pm that night. They asked me to text and let them know when I got home safely. I am so incredibly grateful to have gotten so lucky with such a genuine and reputable shop in a desperate time of need - you will not be disappointed with Rafa's service & authenticity!Services: Electrical repair, Transmission repair

I was referred to Rafa by an autobody mechanic. My suspension system suffered a lot damage due to an accident. Rafa went out of his way to locate hard to find parts for me, without going through the dealer. He also allowed me to purchase my own. His mechanics were very experienced and knowledgable. they did a great job repairing my 04 Mercedes, S500. His prices were excellent. He didn't try to up-sale me; as a matter of fact, I believe he gave me a break. He gets 5 stars out of me. I would most definitely recommend him.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Auto repair is expensive and finding a mechanic that is trustworthy and knowledgeable is challenging. That is why i have been using Rafa s for almost 15 years now. He is honest and straight to the point. He doesn t try to up sale you on things that you don't need. The prices are competitive, often times lower than the market. You wont get blind sided with your final bill. If he finds something else wrong in the course of repairing your vehicle, you will know about it before the work is done. They care about their reputation and it shows with the professionalism and honest service. We got stuck on the road & had someone break parts in our car while they repaired luckily we found Rafa auto shop to fix our car for us on such short notice and so quick. He s honest unlike most mechanics and we were able to do our road trip and back with no issues at all! I highly recommend here. I wish he was located in state lol

The best mechanic i will say. Rafa and his team had got you covered if you d be having any issues with any sort of cars/jeep or anything. Rafa himself is very professional and knows alot about his field.I travel about 1hr to get the things checked by him.

So I came from nc my truck went out it was my alternator and the harness Rafa not only did he help me find a tow truck to get my car to him he also found us a room to stay in until he was able to get my part he also found me a Uber to get there when we discovered it'll be some time before h was able to get my harness he also major fast respectable and friendly I love his shop and will refer anyone that is jn the area I've never been to Woodbridge before and let's just say the folks here are definitely kind and respectful I love it here and will be back thanks to everyone that has helped us can't leave out the fact he sent a driver to get my part to speed my process up I love it here if you're looking for a professional mechanic RAFA'S IS IT STOP LOOKING!!!! These are facts about Rafa's Route 1 Auto Repair. Since I came to Woodbridge in Virginia I have been to a lot of Auto shops but this particular Auto shop is a touching auto shop. My car broke down and sent it to them. I was forcing my way out so that it could be done for me the same day but I was told it would take them some days to fix my car for me .I was worried because I didn't know how to get to work the next day. This benevolent man gave me his car to use for TWO good weeks until my was fixed. I pray that the good Lord bless his WORK and give him more customers. I will always refer friends and other people to him since he is exceptional. He has these human qualities. HUMBLE ,PATIENCE RESPECT, LOVE, SYMPATHY and WISDOM for his customers. God richly bless him and his work as well as his family and workers.

I have used Rafas RT1 Over two years and I will always Recommend. Great customer service, and the crew are very helpful. They ask you if u need anything while waiting( I ask for water ). Very reasonable price and even help you understand by explaining the repairs needed or recommended in my vehicle.

Rafa is awesome! My vehicle had alot of issues . And even though he was extremely busy he took the to explain the issues which I really appreciated. Pricing is beyond fair for the work they do. I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer and would gladly send anyone there for car work.

I have been going to Rafa's Auto Repair Shop for over a year. I have to be honest they do great work at half the price you would get by going to a dealership. They are always friendly and make me feel like family every time i stop by whether I am getting work done or have a question about my cars/truck. Don;t just take my word on it stop by and see for yourself

This repair shop owner "Rafeal" is a scam artist, he makes up all different scenarios to increase his charges. The initial estimate that he gave me was not the same as the final charge, he came up with unreasonable shop fees and supplies used. "very excessive charges". $60.00 for shop fess, absolutely unreasonable. Furthermore, his mechanics is not ASE certified, had extremely problem and warped another part that I had to pay for it to get the car running. "ILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN.Service: General repairs & maintenance
