These guys are going to be my new home place to go to for now on. My brother trusts them, my sister does too and now they have earned mine. It s extremely hard to find a place where you can trust them not to over price things and charge you for unnecessary work. Well folks, I came here because I needed a state inspection and one of my low headlights was out so I was preparing myself for a big bill. I did a price check at my Mazda dealership and they quoted me hundreds of dollars. It s hard to get to the headlights on my Mazda 6. So I was pleasantly surprised when I came to pick it up and I was only charged $20! For the state inspection!!! They informed me that my headlight just came undone and all they did was plug it back in and it worked fine and they didn t charge me for it. If they were dishonest they could have charged me for everything and I would have not even known. It s so hard to find honest people and honest mechanics these days that I feel extremely blessed to have these guys as my new hometown mechanics!!!! Thanks to everyone who helped me out even the young men at the front desk were informative, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. This place has won my loyalty, respect, and appreciation!!!

Mixed Experience at Hometown AutoI recently visited Hometown Auto with my Toyota Highlander due to a battery malfunction. Unfortunately, my experience was a bit of a rollercoaster.The Good:Hometown Auto is great for basic vehicle maintenance tasks like oil changes and tire rotations. If you need routine services, they ve got you covered.The Not-So-Good:Diagnostic Failure: When I brought in my truck for a battery issue, the staff couldn t pinpoint the problem. They cleared the faults from the computer, but the issue persisted.Major Issue: The next day, my truck unexpectedly shut off while I was driving on the highway. Not ideal!Dealer Intervention: I had no choice but to take my truck to the dealer to get the issue resolved. It turned out to be a major problem that Hometown Auto missed.Hometown Auto is a decent shop for minor repairs, but when it comes to significant issues, I d recommend seeking professional help elsewhere.

Been coming here a few years for tires and various needs and have always been treated very nicely. But this time, Wow. Just wow. Guest services here is exquisite. Robert actually took his own time to drive to Richmond, Va to accommodate my emergency and time constraints. What a crew. Thanks so much Rob. You ve got a customer for life!Update: Here I am a couple years later and still coming here. My warranty is up so this is now my number 1 garage to take my vehicles to. Just recently my truck was on the fritz. Check engine light, traction, limp mode and all. They were able to track it down same day and fix the problem promptly.Here s the thing; in doing the repair there was damage done to another system ( only accident I ve ever had here ), they owned the mistake straight away and had it repaired the next day. The truck kept throwing lights again after this fix, they brought it right it right back in and despite my frustration, we re still so kind. In the end, we found out that it was an aftermarket part (I HAD INSTALLED) that was causing the motor to not be able to calibrate after the new parts were installed.Now let me tell you how much of a jerk I felt like, but anyways, Joe and Freddy continued to compensate me for my time spent at the garage anyways which was more than kind of them-considering me getting short with them. Now, fast forward to the next week, call it bad luck, I m back with AC problems- again- they got me right in. We were afraid that something may have been altered in the other repairs. They found no damages and STILL fixed the AC for me- in two hours!What I wanna get at it, is that you can t find guest services like Joe, Freddy and Chris anywhere anymore. Especially since the pandemic. It just doesn t happen. These guys care. A lot. Go here. Don t go to the box shops. Come here. You won t be upset at the prices, and you ll be astonished by the customer centric focus. Thanks guys.

The service was great! They communicated with me the whole time my car was in their care and they never pressured me to do more than I could afford! They gave me detailed inspection notes with pictures and made suggestions on what steps I should take next to extend the life of my car!! They are amazing!

*Update: I am providing an update on my previous post for Hometowne Auto. I was contacted immediately by Joe, the manager at Hometowne Auto and he was able to rectify the previous issues. I can appreciate a company that stands by their mishaps and ensures that the customer is contacted, made aware of any issues and concerns, and ensures that it won't happen again. Thank you Joe and thank you Hometowne Auto!! I will definitely continue to use your services on all of my vehicles. ------ ----------------------------------------------------------I am a loyal customer with Hometowne Auto Repair and for the first time, I was unimpressed with their services or lack there of. I brought my car in at 7:30 am for an oil change. I called back at approximately 3:30pm and my vehicle had not been serviced yet. When I asked the technician who answered the phone (not Chris) why hadn'tmy vehicle been serviced yet, he basically blew me off and gave me the impression of "What do you want me to do about it?!" I was in disbelief of his actions and immediately regretted bringing my car to Hometowne. I called back and talked to Chris, who displayed better customer service skills and requested them to not change my oil and I retrieved my vehicle. I have never experienced this problem at Hometowne before, and I'm still in disbelief.

I just moved to Virginia. It's challenging to re-establish basics like who you will trust with your car. Without friends/family or my co-workers to give me recommendations and with the ability to work with the small businesses I've trusted in Jacksonville, NC for so long - I have to trust new businesses blindly without knowing them or their reputation. I brought my car in for tires - which I was desperately in need of. The original estimate was re-adjusted to be a little less than the original, when I dropped off the car. I greatly appreciate the manager (maybe a service manager?) making that adjustment in my favor - versus being more. It definitely left me with a positive impression of the business and your honesty. I will return. Thank you.

Excellent auto shop, they took care of my car and gave me a detailed report on what was going on, including pictures.They were very responsive and I got my car in the same week I called. A day after I dropped it off it was done! They have a super fast turn around and they offered to pick me up and drop me off each time. Very courteous.Their pricing was extremely fair and I was very happy overall with every aspect of my experience.I will definitely be back for more services.

I appreciated the detailed quote for all of the services and pictures of the brakes. The prices for the services and labor were less than the dealership and I truly trusted the service. The customer service was great and I will continue to have my vehicle serviced there for as long as it s able to run.

I've been coming here for 10 years. They have taken care of my families cars and my work pickups. They are not the cheapest but friendly, do great work and convinced me over the years not to use cheap parts or tires.

I ve been taking my cars here for years and they ve always delivered with first-class customer service and results! They re the only auto shop I ve been to that was so clean, you can eat off the floor. Additionally, and most importantly, they have integrity. They recently saved me nearly $1,000 by advising that I not get a repair that I had already approved, because upon further inspection, they discovered that I didn t need it. They ve been a blessing to me and if you need a dependable auto shop, I know they ll be that to you too.

I must say, with this being my first experience with this shop was a true eye opener, the tech discovered things on my vechile I probably would of never known, the tech also at the front desk explained to me step by step all details I needed in order to fix my vechile. The shuttle driver was pleasant and inviting, the site was clean and had a good atmosphere. I have some money to save it to get the work done but I'm confident they will complete the job to a degree that I will become a customer for life.

I called on 27 September to make an appointment for routine maintenance and a state safety inspection. I was told they could do the maintenance and oil change but the safety inspection may take another day to complete. I agreed that would be okay. I received a call to pick up my car in the afternoon on 28 September. I inquired about the safety inspection and I was told it wasn t done. I asked if I should leave my car an additional day for the inspection. I was told that I didn t have an appointment for the inspection and my best option would be to take my car somewhere else. I guess my business is not that important to them.I returned on 9 October due to oil leaking onto my garage floor over the past week. Turns out the oil plug was stripped from my last visit. They replaced the plug with no charge. I wonder how the plug was stripped. Was it cross-threaded or over tightened enough to cause damage?Update from Hometowne response: I specifically asked if it was the drain plug or gasket that needed replacement. I was told the drain plug was stripped and they had to replace both plug and gasket. My receipt shows both were replaced.

This garage is always on top of the list when it comes to servicing my vehicle. They always do an outstanding job whatever it maybe a flat tire ,oil change,a check engine light ,they are always I top of it to check it out for you if they don't know the problem they will find the person to help.but usually all the time and anytime they know the problem .I needed a new motor and they fixed everything .very happy customer I will take my car or any car here for a long time .I send friends .very nice people you can't ask for better customer service.

This review is about a year late but I took my 2019 gti there for an alignment. They were friendly but after driving off the lot I got a notice that my front assist was not working. Turns out that something they did during my alignment caused an issue that ended up requiring my front assist to be recalibrated which was $500. Would recommend taking your VW to a place familiar with the cars specific requirements.

I m very much impressed. Although the car turned out not to be worth the repair it would need - I was not charged for figuring it out and telling me. I appreciate the effort and honesty with the whole thing. The car will be donated, but I found a good place for my 4 other cars!

One of the best shops I ve ever taken my car to. They are kind, offer certain free services, provide a shuttle after dropping your car off. I haven t taken my car elsewhere.

Went in for a simple brake change they charged me over $1200 if you guys appreciate getting scammed and have a surplus amount of $$ that you quickly need to waste I highly recommend these scam- I mean mechanics. I got a complimentary free vehicle inspection.. when my vehicle was returned, not one but two new lights appeared on my dash. Be careful with these people they know exactly what they re doing.

The team at HomeTowne is knowledgeable, honest, and courteous. Our maintenance & repairs are completed correctly and on time; I have never felt pressured to get a repair; they took a look at one of our vehicles and let us know that repairs that were recommended by another shop were not necessary; and the office staff is kind and able to answer whatever questions I have .

I took my car here because I had a slow leak in one of my tires. After the service tech located the problem (screw in my tire) and explained my options I ordered two new tires from them. Unfortunately the location of the screw meant that a fix (which would have been free) was not possible. The tires would have been available to be installed same day but I had a time constraint so I came back next day. They topped up my air before I left so I had no issues waiting. I never felt pressured in any way to buy from them nor to buy in a pair. I would return here should I have any more issues with my car.

This is the second time I've taken my vehicle to HomeTowne Auto Repair. Their customer service has always been professional and courteous. This isn't the type of shop that rushes the job and skips corners. They take their time to ensure the job is done correctly and if a delay is anticipated, they communicate their intentions with the customer. Will definitely be back. Thanks to Joe and the team for their honesty and quick turn-around.

Had a great experience with them resolving a large repair that another repair shop could not. Then returned for the oil change required and that was a smooth process too. Thanks Again to their hard working team!!! The only down part is they don't offer any repair coupons which I'm used to having as an option with most repair shops but not a deal breaker though.

Always a great experience with HomeTowne Auto. Most recently, my window motor stopped working and the window was stuck down. They made an appointment for me the very next day and all the work was completed within two days (even with ordering a part.) Most importantly the gentlemen at the front desk were very polite with every interaction. Excellent customer service is hard to find. Thank you HomeTowne Auto.

I HIGHLY recommend anyone to use HomeTowne Auto Repair and Tire of Woodbridge. My entire experience front the beginning to the end was top notch customer service. I've never ever ever been somewhere - where they explain each and everything thing that they are servicing. The line of communication is excellent. I just found my new Auto Home! Nick the front end employee is awesome and the Manager Joe is Phenomenal.
