I will not go back. I took my daughter's car in to have the oil changed. They gave me a sheet that said all the stuff they did to the car. I looked at the list and it said they filled up the washer fluid. It was already full. When I questioned it the employee said they had to write that because their boss makes them. What else did they not due. Plus I told the other employee I had a coupon and she said oh.. $4.. well when the middle line oil change cost almost $80 you need some kind of coupon. I also asked at the beginning if they could look at where the washer fluid comes out because it didn't work. The employee said it was above their pay grade. I get it it's an oil change place but they offer other things as well.

I was so impressed with the techs at this location. They patiently worked on my car despite having an unforeseen issue, and kept working until it was fixed. Particular shout out to J, who worked diligently and expertly on my finicky old pos.

The team here in Williamsburg was absolutely flawless! They let me know all of the services that were due for my vehicle and didn t make me feel pressured to buy any services. Everyone here at valvoline was super friendly and very knowledgeable, and was also very easy to talk too. Thank you Valvoline team!

I waited between 45 and 50 minutes this morning for an oil change and never made it into the service bay. When I drove up, I was quoted 15 minutes. But like a fool, I sat and watched five cars quickly move through Bay 1 and no one ever came over to acknowledge my wait and invite me to change lines and pull in for service.If one bay is clogged up because someone is having their engine rebuilt or whatever, perhaps let the people waiting patiently know what to expect.

Took my car there a few months ago, thought I d change my own oil this time. Get underneath the car and they stripped the bolt. Don t trust these idiots with your car. Place is run by a bunch of teenagers who don t care about your property, they only care about being fast.

Great and fast service, always! The employees are quick and professional and never pressure me on extra maintenance. I always feel like I get honest work done and they are eager to answer any questions I have. I keep returning! Was feeling lazy and went to get an oil change. They damn near blew my engine up. The tech had me rev my engine with no oil replaced in it. Caught it last second and let off. When I asked why he had me rev to with no oil replaced after they drained oil he said he was testing the pressure to see if the filter cap was leaking.....smh. should've just done it myself

I have a Volvo S-60. I went for an oil change to the location in Yorktown. They did not have my filter so they apologized, put a 20% discount in the system and asked me to go to the Williamsburg location because it shows they have the oil filter. I drove 22.9 miles to Valvoline in Williamsburg. I had 4 cars waiting in front of me. Josie (a tech) checked me in and checked to see if they had the oil filter. They did not. She told me all the techs were busy and asked me to walk next door to the Advance Auto to get the filter. I walked next door so that I would not lose my spot in line. I waited 40 minutes and finally got to the bay. Inside the bay, a very nice gentleman named Darius, informed me that they cannot pay me for the filter and said that two things went wrong: 1) the store in Yorktown did not call to confirm they had the filter or to tell them I was in route so they could get the filter, 2) Josie should not have asked me, the customer to go get the filter. Despite all of that, I was inconvenienced. My ticket price should have included a 7% discount coupon, 20% discount for the inconvenience of driving from one location to the other and $19.00 discount for the price of the filter, bringing my total to $73.75. Darius was trying to honor the promises and when he went to run my card, his manager (Mike) called him away. He came back and said his manager would not honor the price and now my price is $86+. I was not happy. $12 and some change was not worth inconveniencing a customer. I have been going to Valvoline for about 15 years in Kansas City, MO, Dallas, and Chicago. I deserve $12 off my next oil change (if I decide to go back). Business is obviously good because there were several cars behind and on the side of me.

Attempted to get a basic oil change here. Pulled in and was the 3rd car in line not including the one in the bay. Ok expect there to be a wait no problem. Takes about 20 minutes for any employee of the business to even acknowledge we had come. Zero movement out of either bay yet. The employee asks what we want. Inform them just a basic oil change. They say ok great should be about an hour, we're the third car in line at this point not pulled in. Start questioning if this is a good idea.Wait for 25 more minutes first car out of the bay in front of my line is done, 5 minutes after the one in the line next to me. Both had been there when we arrived with the same length of line. Wait for 10 more minutes before apparently the person in that car figures out what they need. After waiting for now over an hour for one car and subsequent second car to even get started probelms continue. The same person that walked up before comes around again. Says "What are you here to get?" Inform again that the basic oil change. Get told ok should be like like an hour 15 more because the person in the bay just added a tire rotation. At this point i left which was clearly the goal of the employee that day anyway. If this place is as quick as they claim, but offer other services great. There are 2 lines, make one the expedited offerings one only at a time the other longer or multiple issues at once.Worst experience with a corporate mechanic I have ever had. I hope they are able to fix their issues and can thrive. Unfortunately they have lost my business.

Scariest oil change experience I ve ever had. I have been here once before, and they tried to tell me my battery was bad. Took it to Advance Auto and they rated my battery as 100% A-Okay. I even had Take 5 forget to plug in something into my battery once, so my car was jerking and stopping forward and back as I drove away. But this place was nuts.The speed and panic at which they raced to replace my oil was manic at best and dangerous at worst. We were in line, next up ready to go for 30 minutes, and they closed the doors behind us like there was a hurricane on the horizon or something. I did not feel safe, and neither did my wife. I hope that they actually changed my oil while I was there. At least we got a $20 discount in the end I had been waiting to get to Richmond to change my oil bc I trust the Take 5s there. I succumbed to the pressure and gave in to the convenience. Big mistake.Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice Not angry, just disappointed. Please, someone open a new quick oil change place in Williamsburg

They always do a great job on my Mercedes oil change. Many places charge an arm and a leg and your first born child for an import oil change, but they keep their prices reasonable and their service fast.

I gave 1 extra star because I believe in Valvoline but not this specific one. It has come to my attention that the owner fired his ENTIRE staff yesterday in the morning. No one told me they were short staffed till after 30 minutes of waiting to be told it would be almost 2 hours for and instant oil change. Today is the second time I ve been there this week and waited nearly an hour to not have services done because they are everything BUT an instant oil change. They will also move 4 cars around in tight spaces because someone is in the wrong line so they would rather inconvenience 3 other drivers to make one happy. The owner won t go out of business though for there are few oil dedicated change places in the area. This is making feel as if though I would be better off scheduling a 30 minute appointment at a small business owner instead of wasting 2 hours of my life for an INSTANT oil change. Slow staff. I just don t get it.

Staff is kind but this is NOT an instant oil change like advertised. After multiple multi hour waits, we will no longer go back. Last time was over an hour once the oil change began with no communication as to why so slow.

Was in there today and it was just a GREAT experience ! So glad we have this store in Williamsburg. My first visit to Valvoline Instant Oil Change was in California, and since then was thinking this place deserve to be in every single city accross USA! Honestly not sure would i go today if I didn't have $20 discount coupon which bring my total bill to $24 ! Conventional Oil Change is 42.99 , with this coupon and tax , my bill was 24$ ! Most places in Williamsburg charge about the same , like 19.99 plus tax and disposal fee! What I have decided, even without that coupon is really worth it to go there! Crew is young, friendly and knowledgeable! Having 2 cars this will be my place to go to ! It takes 15 min and you able to see whole proccess! Thank You Valvoline ! Not only myself , but will try to bring you many people that I care about because you guyd offer exeptional service !

Went in for an oil change last week and waited almost 2 hours before I was in the bay. I'm willing to give them a pass on the wait times due first come, first serve and the nature of what other drivers are stopping in for; however, what is not acceptable is being told by the guy that my vehicle had a "extreme" oil leak, without showing any evidence or explaining more in depth. I took it to a mechanic who said he could not find any leak, only some saturation. This validated what I thought because I had not seen any pools or oil underneath in my day to day use. I'd like to know since these people aren't mechanics and have zero to minor knowledge about vehicle diagnostics, why are they telling customers information that is clearly not true?Service: Oil change

Waited for an hour and this was my second attempt to get it done. If I didn't have a Groupon wouldn't have waited this time. Had to wait longer when they didn't have an air filter for a vehicle. Mine needed changing also but they didn't have mine either. The staff didn't know how to process a Groupon properly either. Because they were so backed up they didn't check my tires nor top off my window washer fluid when I asked. Had to have been the worst Valvoline experience anywhere and I have used them in various states. Stay away from this place!

The manager Jared and his team were so courteous and polite, I felt like they went above and beyond to take care of my car! I couldn't be physically present while my car was being serviced, but Jared texted me updates so I was informed the entire time. And the shop itself is sparkling clean, I'll definitely be back when I need any other services! Thank you again!

Excellent service each time I ve visited for synthetic oil changes. Wonderful staff each time. Would highly recommend. Thank you for not pushing your other services and respecting no thank you . Other shops have tried to take advantage of me but the only services encouraged by this shop have been for services that my car truly needed.

Very professional group. They explained what they were doing at all times. Treated me courteous and were fast.This is an update. The message above was from my first review. I went back today and the service was as fast as before. However, they didn't performed the additional services they offered. They are supposed to check your fluid levels and they didn't. I was their only customer and they spent the time talking to each other's. After driving few miles, I realized that my tires light was still up, I went to a service station and aid an additional dollar and 5 more minutes fixing the issue. When I looked at the paperwork, it reads that they had put air in my tires, but they didn't.So, I checked my radiator fluid and windshield fluid and they were both low. I assume the oil was changed properly, but this business is guilty of bait and switch. My husband got a 50% off coupon from the website and was told the normal cost for a Honda Civic was $50. After he arrived and they had already drained the oil, he was told that the car needed a special oil and would be $80 and not eligible for 50% off. NOT cool and never going there again.
