I had a very positive experience with the staff and facilities at Prime storage in Williamsburg. I had a 18-wheeler that needed to deliver my belongings to the storage facility, and not many of the local options could accommodate that.Access to the facility was drama free and there was always somebody available to help in the office. The staff accommodated all of my requests to include assistance with removal of some leaves that kept blowing around near the unit door. I called the office to report the challenge and within two hours the leaves in question have been removed. Highly recommend this business!!

Doesn't deserve 1 star. TERRIBLE communication. Beware if you are only a few months and I do mean a few, they will definitely auction your belongings off. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I would not recommend this place at all . From the district manager on down nothing but failed communication. At this point I accept responsibility for loss of unit but I will not accept the fact that personal information such as birth certificates , social security cards , tax returns was stored in the unit. I am sure I am not the only person stored there personal information thinking it s safe for a manage to tell you the person suppose to return your personal things. I have read my contract twice and I am taking legal action against personal information not being returned. Identify thief and scammers has increased over the years . They fail to return company equipment when it s says the property of please return stolen property . This company which sales your unit for less of the cost of your one month rentals , should make sure personal information is not released . IT s TIME FOR A CHANGE

Great service and a nice safe location. Spacious and secured indoor parking for large rigs (vertical clearance through entry door is 12 6 )

Absolutely horrible customer service. I ve used them for over four years, and since AAAA switched to Prime Storage, they ve gone way downhill. I ll be looking for a new storage company to use after the holidays. 10/10 do NOT recommend.

Virginia is doing a great job juggling multiple clients and issues. We happened to stop in on a day that the internet was down. She had garage door repair men, current tenants and us all at the same time and she got it all done with a smile on her face. I really appreciated her customer service skills and how she kept her cool. Great addition to Prime Storage and this is our 3 rd rental unit at this property and first interaction with Virginia.

Staff was very friendly and professional. The major issue that we had was that we couldn t off load our pods. The staff work with me to use your loading dock. Virginia was really helpful with that. Then our moving situation changed so that is why we changed our mind. Thanks for all the help!

I had two indoor storage units. The Williamsburg site was clean and professional. I never saw pests and I went months between visits to the units I had. It's also blessedly cool even in high temps. 10/10 would recommend. Arlington and Dominique provided excellent service.

We like the storage setup at the Williamsburg Prime Storage facility. Being in a warehouse is more affordable than a climate controlled facility and not as potentially damaging as a unit out in the elements. As an added bonus, Dominique is on top of everything and very helpful.

Prime storage is the new name for what was AAA storage. The facility under AAA was clean and cared for. The people working there were professional, courtesy and very helpful in helping me to choose the storage space I needed. For whatever reason Prime took over the storage business, so be it. My problem with them is this, first the new company did not send notice to the renter ( me) that this was being done, secondly Prime raised the rates and notified me of this after they acquired the business, and thirdly they set up the phone service to someone that handles all their storage businesses so the person you talk to doesn't actually work at storage center. When AAA owned the center and you called you were actually talking to a person that worked in an office at the center and knew everything about the center. So if you need a storage space and don't mind having your rate go up without prior notice or talking to someone that is just fielding calls then I suggest you rent from Prime because that is what their investor's do!!!!!!

Dominique, does an awesome job, taken into the fact their hands are limited. It is my hope that the corporate office will allow her the opportunity to work more effectively as she is one-on-one with her local customers and she strives beyond her limitation to provide a great experience!

The facility itself is amazing.. clean/climate controlled. However what started as $175 a month quickly became $285 a month in less than 2 years, and they tried to automatically add insurance to the monthly fee.. Just became to costly

Rented a smaller space for my son to store a lot of his things for college. The processes could not have gone smoother. I called, and within 10 minutes I reserved a storage space. When I went into the facility to check in, the gentleman was super friendly and got me my space in 15 minutes. I will use them again next year. Keep up the good work.

5 star is because of the manager Dominique, she was wonderful , honest and professional. On the other hand Prime bought AAAA and forced us to pay for renters/ personal property insurance. The increase caused us to find a more reasonable location and move out. Big companies have to much overhead and simply put are greedy. Thanks for the 2 large buildings and good luck

Facility is clean and reasonably priced. But it is not kept secure. The door I use does not lock. Anyone can get in. This was reported by me almost 2 weeks ago and the manager was aware of it. Today I found the roll-up door wide open and no one around. This is a climate controlled storage facility.I don't believe I will stay with this facility.

Let me tell you something about Prime Storage in Toano. You wouldn't believe me if I said that Prime Storage has really been Super Awesome!!! The Management and staff are the very epitome of kind and helpful with professionalism exemplified. I recommend this place for all your good small town storage needs. With kind friendly informative Management to help you at the drop of a dime. Thank you so much Prime Storage.

I really like how the place is laid out and how easy it is to get to the unit, HOWEVER, I can't understand their forcing us to pay insurance on what is stored there. That seems like a rip off, including all the additional FEES that get tacked on after a reasonable quote, making the monthly payment one I will NOT be keeping past a month or two. Without that forced insurance I would probably stay. As it is, I will simply take things in my storage shed to the dump and put my things there for free.

Very clean, spacious facility. Plenty of room in the outdoor units for moving truck without issues, and to allow others past as well. Feels secure, were told they do security checks several times daily as well. Dominique at the front desk was friendly and helpful!

This facility is clean and is easy to access. The buildings have secure entry, so you need a code to get in. The units are not climate controlled, but because the units are located within a warehouse structure, I feel like the temperature swings are not as drastic, and this also helps with bugs and rodents.I would give it 5 stars except that they raised the monthly cost 3 times within the first year of having a unit there.

The Manager of the Toano Prime Storage is a serious crook and a terrible liar. Who knows how much she pockets by stealing the customers money and Prime storage's also. Beware of the Manager at this location. She is a very bad and mean person. Please listen to me when i say avoid this person at all cost. She is basically a bully with a pointless job a dog could do. We have never seen her clean or even drive through the property. The outside cameras are not operable. So there is basically no security or safety for you possessions in Prime Storage care. Do not lease with this particular location. Warning!! terrible management!!! They will steal from you without a doubt. No security, no customer service, dirty units.

I was not happy when they switched from AAAA to Prime and changed their rules, but I gave them a shot. However, every time I called the young gentleman was so rude on the phone. I asked to speak to a manager he would say she was busy. I asked for her to call me. After weeks of this, I moved out. For the first time I got to meet the manager. She was AWESOME! If it weren t for him, I would have stayed.Upon move out, all of my furniture had mold on it. They were stored in the old candle factory. Im giving the two star review just because the manager was awesome. Prime and the young gentleman are absolutely terrible!

Wanted indoor storage space for my RV and thought I might be on a waiting list forever but Caitlin got me in as soon as a space opened up. She was a delight to work with. Very personable and extremely knowledgeable. Tons of paperwork to fill out but she made the process seamless. Space for my RV is great. Facility is very clean and well maintained.
