A great lodging accommodation for the budget traveler. Don t use Expedia or any other booking site, this place can give you a better deal in person. Rooms are updated with nice flat screen TVs, updated door locks, and so on. Definitely worth the price I paid. My only complaint is the mattresses should be replaced, they re old and stained (if you look under the fitted sheet and pad).

The room was $50 and that's what you get. Beds were maybe full size not queens. Bedding was nasty bring your own. Pillow and mattresses might have been left over from a college dorm from the 90s. Obviousl rooms don't get used often with how dirty it was. The AC was falling off the wall. Smoke detector didn't have batteries and was in the fridge. Place is good if your crashing for a night after partying but not for a family on vacation. No phone in the room or a clock. One outlet that wasn't being used by the TV or fridge.

I m a travel nurse, these rooms were clean. I arrived early so they had just disinfected my room is smelled of bleach but during COVID times that is a blessing in disguise. They gave me linen and towels daily, i had so many belongings that the owner himself would clean my room, very sweet man. I had a family emergency so did not stay my full 5 weeks and the amazing owner let me know he processed my refund. This is a quiet, clean quaint lodging and i will recommend it to anyone who asks me. Very friendly staff, they have the best manners, clean rooms, safety, a whole hurricane/tornado mix came through and the staff along with the landscaping company made it look like a dream. I d totally come back! Best staff all the way around! Thank you!

My wife and I come to Williamsburg to bicycle the Capital Trail and walk around the colonial village. We found this a simple, safe, and clean hotel. It's no frills -- but we're retired and with rooms in the $50s feel it's a good place to know about. Also, the manager is personable, on site, and on top of things.

I definitely would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Williamsburg. To start, I just recently relocated here with my fiancee and we needed a room while we look for homes in the area. We really felt cheated by staying here. We wasted our Choice points as well as cash and all we wanted was a comfortable stay for the night. Upon arriving we did notice that the lobby was not open and we had to speak to the front desk agent through a window which I understand because of Covid. The next morning I went to the window to ask about coffee because our room did not have a coffee maker which I thought was odd. The older woman at the front desk had a very nasty look on her face and told me "no" when I asked if they were serving coffee. It made me feel very uncomfortable and I went back to my room and prepared to check out. As we were leaving, we were filling our small coolers with ice at the ice machine and the woman approached me and started yelling at me saying that I was not allowed to get ice and that we are only allowed 1 bucket of ice because other guest need ice mind you barely anyone was staying at this place and now I see why. My fiancee suggested to her to put a sign up so that she would not make people feel bad for getting ice. It really caught us off guard because we have stayed at many choice hotel brands and have had great experiences. However, this stay really made us lose faith in Choice Hotels and humans overall. For the price you are paying you would hope to be treated with some hospitality but this was by far not even close. Shame on you for being so rude and I hope these people realize that God will never bless your business if you continue to treat people unfairly and rudely. This hotel is in need of some renovating and perhaps some training in hospitality and customer service.

We stayed for a week. The room was very clean, The bed was very comfortable and the staff is the owner and his wife and they did a very good job. They worked very hard to make our stay as comfortable as they possibly could. My husband has bad knees and they gave us a downstairs room close to the office. They gave us bottles of water out of their room and was not going to charge us. They made sure our room was cleaned every day and they kept us supplied with coffee and clean towels. We would recommend this Econo Pottery to everyone. Price was very reasobale as well.

If they add grip to the stairs it would be 5 stars.Room clean, decent for price, but if you are put on the top floor and it rains plan to stay inside. The stairs are painted and the owners have not put any gripping down to protect their guests, just a sign at the top when you're going down that says slippery when wet. Even being cautious my boyfriend slipped near the top and couldn't catch his grip on the rails because they were just as slick as the stairs.Maybe request a bottom room.

Gentleman at the front desk was very polite and helpful. Much to my surprise I was charged half price of what every other hotel in the surrounding area quoted and I was more impressed how clean the room was with hot water and heat.

It's a one star motel. So if you are reading this review you are probably checking to see how bad this place is, right? Otherwise, you'd stay at a two or three star place. I can report that this place is perfectly comfortable. The sheets/bedding are clean, the bed is comfortable, the TV is new and the channels are HD. The AC/air thing works just fine. Breakfast is kind of weak (bad coffee and prepackaged pastries). Overall, no complaints whatsoever. If you're just looking for a clean and comfortable place to spend the night, this place fits the bill.

Traveling thru. Last minute. Stopped in after midnight, woke up front desk. Rooms were full of cobwebs all around the ceiling. Bathtub was disgusting, no showers for us, no thanks. Toilet paper looked like it had been on roll for decades and at its very end. Come on people replace it, why should I have to !?!? Walls thin....could hear water running in pipes thru the walls and WOW the train going by. Place needs a MAJOR OVERHAUL!!!

Rooms were clean. The double beds were comfortable. Air conditioner worked great. Shower was good. Had a nice tv, fridge, and microwave. Breakfast was not much to choose from.

Wasn't terrible. Clean. Bath tub had an old disintegrated mat in it. Outside definitely needs work but the rooms were updated. Uncomfortable beds and pillows. But you get what you pay for.

Nice hotel room I was VERY skeptical on reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised neat bed with clean sheetsMay be people only post negative reviews.. because they expect a clean room by default.. so having a clean room (as expected) is not worthy of a comment.

Not bad, not great, about what you would expect for the price. The beds were extra firm, but ok and the room was clean. Breakfast was prepackaged donuts, milk, coffee, OJ and not much else. Reasonable driving distance to many of the attractions in Williamsburg. Has a nice shower, TV, fridge and microwave. It's important to note that this hotel is almost right across the street from a very busy CSX railroad so if you are a light sleeper this might not be the place for you as the trains go though there ALL NIGHT, and yes, the room does shake a bit.

Basic place but high, I have stayed in better for less. Hotel manager and wife initially refused to refund extra night we booked even after showing them the policy online. A little sketchy however did get a refund after several rounds.

It was a nice, simple hotel. Got the job done. There's nothing to complain about, as long as you don't go in expecting more than a bed to stay in. I'd definitely stay there again, it's a great deal.

VERY rude staff. Paid for a week and was shorted a night. Front desk clerk said we don't give concessions, I didn't ask for a concession, just what I paid for. There are so many hotels in Williamsburg and we unfortunately picked this one, won't happen again. Front desk said thank you when I said that we would not recommend his hotel. Clerk also said that they were full and we were literally the only guests there.

once we arrived to check in was fast counter person was emotionless. once we got in to the room it was a little not type of ventilated room. the bed looked clean but they are suspicious of not being cleaned properly. The Shower had a lot of hair. It didn't appeal to be used At All!! I know housekeeping can do a loooot better. The Turning point is......that is really annoying, so if you're planning to stay there, please Read Thisssss ..... Cargotrain is nearby, so about every hour at nigth you will hear it coming and going...oh yeaaa with all kind of noisessss.

This hotel was event what I needed it to be. It was a clean bed, a cheap room, and near where I needed to go. It's a bit of a drive to Williamsburg, but nothing unmanageable. Worth the price.

It's nothing to write home about, but it was a clean and pleasant stay. There was an issue with flat beetles in the hotel, but I dont think that's their fault. That's just what nature does. I'd stay again if I ever came out here again.

This was a ok place for a quick stay. It had some small issues with the room, like the toilet. I would not stay here if I was on vacation.

It served it's purpose, we had a place to rest our head it was clean. The bed didn't give me any pain the next day so it was good.
