Called and talked to a representative who told me to go ahead and come in to change my tire, just for me to put all my stuff to the side and RUSH there for me to walk in and them say oh we already let the air down sorry can't help ya, HOW UNPROFESSIONAL could you possibly be. This is why this place was the LAST place I'd call for automotive help, And now I'll just take them completely off the list. Disappointing, Disrespectful, and UNPROFESSIONAL.

I started going here because it s close to where I work.First bump in the road was when I went to get a tire replaced and they called me at work but left no voicemail (I couldn t answer the phone at work) so I go to pick it up and they have done nothing and tell me I need 2 tires but don t have time to replace them.Tried to get an inspection a few months ago and was told that I had to sit in while the inspection was going on (I couldn t because the inspections were available from 7:30-3 ish which are my work hours)Called to get an inspection another time and asked the guy on the phone what time I needed to drop it off (was told this time I could just drop it off). The man said just drop it off didn t specify a time. I take it in and they can t take me bc I was supposed to be there at 8am Go for a third time to get a tire changed and an inspection. They tell me I need over $600 in repairs (3 new tires and front break pads). I had just gotten 2 tires and a realignment from them about 10 months prior. I pay for just 2 tires they give me a different brand of tire than what was on my car on 2 different axles.Oh, and if you try to swipe your card on your own they will yell at you.

Received threatening phone call saying my car would be towed if I didn t pick it up and then was hung up on! It s 4:03pm, I m at work. My phone rings, I say Hello, and I male voice says, We re having a great day at Jenkins Automotive. I paused and said Hello again and he repeated himself, I then said, OK? The male went on to say I m calling about your car and you need to pick it up before we close. Understand they close at 5pm. Again, I m at work. I get off at 5 which I responded to let him know I was not given prior notice to make arrangements to leave work early or get a ride down there within the next 50 minutes The male became extremely rude and said if I don t come get it he will have it towed! I explained again, I m at work, just like you, I also have a job and don t get off until 5. He asked what time I go to work? 7:30. He said we open at 7, if you re not here by 8 it will be towed! I tried to reason, explained I tried to pick up my car twice, but he wasn t hearing any of it! So the day service was rendered I had someone go by, pay for the service and get the keys, made arrangement to pick it up when I got off work after 5. Upon arriving I see my car in the back of the building and a truck is pulled in front of it so I can t get out. This is Monday, July 3rd. I left a bit frustrated seeing my car was in the back of the building, unlocked, and deliberately blocked in. Taking a chance I go back on July 4th, they were closed which leads us to today, July 5th and a 4 o clock call by someone who was extremely rude, didn t care that I had made attempts to get my car and stated again, get it by 8am or it will be towed! Granted my car is old, 1997, but it s not a piece of junk to me, it s my car.

Couldn't find a shop to get in last minute for an exhaust issue. Called all around. Jenkins was the only place that was able to squeeze me in. I pulled up and they had my car up on the lift within 5 minutes. About 10 minutes later they had resolved my issue. Since it was such a quick fix on their end they didn't even charge me which is awesome! Def recommend!

Went to Jenkins last November for a state inspection. They failed our truck for reasons that our mechanic said he had NEVER heard of!! The real reason?? A small political sticker!!! Would never, ever recommend this business...obviously no sense of professionalism over politics. Sad.

High levels of negative energy during my recent experiance. Hopefully your next visit to jenkins does not involve your family members being contacted by an upset grown man that is unable to give objective explinations. After I had trouble understanding how/when to insert my card, the upset grown man yanked my card from the scanner and berated me for not understanding. I admit I got heated after he started mishandling my card, but this grown man made the decision to call my family and paint me in a bad light after i had left the shop. I actually went back inside and tried to appologise for the interaction, but he refused my candy gift, and would not see me as a human. I can feel the intenisty of the hate that man had for me. America is experiancing a mental health crisis.

Just stopped by Jenkins automotive to get a state inspection, the guy said he was done for the day (11:40am) and they close at 2pm. Terrible service and rude service. Don t ever bring your vehicle here!

I called this place on a whim because everywhere else was full on their schedules for inspections and I had forgotten. Despite also being busy they let me drop the car off and worked me in between other appointments. The older man who occasionally works the counter is so sweet and kind and I'm really glad I stumbled upon such nice people.

I made an appointment to get an inspection , and completely forgot due to a death in my family. They told me they won t take me back because I missed my appointment . How gross of a company!!! I was not a no call no show for no reason. The guy was so cold on the phone. No human decency at this place! I would have waited until next week since I missed my appointment. I see by the reviews I should have never came here anyway.

Been going to Jenkins of Waynesboro for about 15 years. They ve never pushed something I didn t need and have been generous and honest with advice. I ve always felt I can trust them. Never had a reason not to. I m grateful for them. They are good people.

Acceptable service, but some advisories & deficiencies-Their website needs updating. I made an appointment for a car inspection on their site, but was informed that they don't honor appointments for them and I'd have to wait in the walk-in queue. Not a problem, but it would be nice to know that prior.Chairs are uncomfortable and feel like they have been there for ages. Additionally, no Wifi is available for customers and bathroom is dirty with a door that does not lock-------------------------------------------Downgrade from 4-Stars to 2-Stars:Prior to leaving I informed the front desk manager that I'd be back within an hour with a second car for an inspection. I was assured this would not be a problem but I might need to wait "a little bit"...Upon my return, he was rude and dismissive and told me that this "little while" was about four or more hours and that I would need transportation because I couldn't wait there. Once again their ability to communicate pertinent information for planning your time was non-existent.Wound up going to R&M Automotive for the second inspection, service and facilities there were infinitely better. Before going to Jenkins I would recommend calling Team Hutchens or R&M Automotive first.Jenkins is adequate in a pinch, but they are not the first choice. They are the "Coach" version to the Business and First-Class services offered at Team Hutchens or R&M Automotive.-----------Upgrade back to 4-StarsThe service here was significantly better than last time. I was treated with a friendly demeanor and the service was done quicker than estimated. The only thing keeping them from 5-Stars this time is lack of coffee for customers, lack of a television and/or guest wifi, and the seating accomodations are not comfortable and substandard than what you may expect to earn a 5-star ratingOtherwise remarkable turn-around from my last visit and definitely placing them back on my list of shops for routine service work. Additionally, the cost came in under estimates so that was a pleasant surprise.

I thought I had a giant exhaust problem on my truck. These guys treated me with kind, professional service! Checked out my problem, told me it was much more simple than I thought. Didn't take advantage of me and did a fabulous job fixing my exhaust quickly and at a more than reasonable price. Had a wonderful experience, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again! Thank you so much!

I needed a inspection on my car so I took it to Jenkins. I was very satisfied with service I received. I read other reviews here and I didn t feel any of what people were saying. They were very friendly and quick. Would return.

My family has gone to them for about 50 years and I recommend them above any other place that I know of. Doesn t mean they have been perfect but that is impossible. If I plan ahead and communicate with them, they fit me in quick and get the job done and they remember who I am.

Do not recommend!!! I have waited over a year to write this because I really wanted to give them the benefit of doubt, however now it s tome to share. Went there for an inspection sticker and was told we needed new rotors on a Lexus that had less than 40,000 miles on it. It drove perfectly fine before they got their hands on it! Six months later and the whole car shakes when I hit the brakes. My regular garage (who unfortunately doesn t do inspections) tells me it has bad rotors! Yeah - NOW it really does have bad rotors. We return to Jenkins with the knowledge that we are aware they put a bad set of rotors on our car and they explained that yeah sometimes you just get a bad set from the factory and they agreed to replace them at no charge. Nice of them huh!! Wish they could ve put my ORIGINAL rotors back on that likely didn t need to be replaced to start with. Fast forward six months and again we re shaking every time we hit the brakes. Getting new rotors AGAIN .......but definitely not at Jenkins! I think they use their inspection sticker service to make an extra buck that shouldn t necessarily be made. Beware!

I came here to get a coolant change for my truck. They must not like out of town people. Instead of coolant I got WATER! I kept wondering why my truck was running hot (I was pulling a trailer). When we got home I came to my local mechanic and he said "it's all water, no coolant".This place will try anything to rip people off. If my truck blew a head gasket due to over heating, there would have been a lawsuit on their hands. I would NEVER take any of my cars there!!What a waste of time and money!!Buyer beware! You have been warned!

So I've been taking my car here for a bit now and every visit has been excellent. All of the staff are super friendly and accommodating. They have great prices, flexible scheduling, and service times vary a little but are well within reason. These guys really go above and beyond the call. Unlike many mechanics they don't just do the work and ignore everything else, if they see something wrong they investigate and bring it to your attention. Some people might see this as a money grab but I happily accept their expertise and knowledge in keeping my vehicle at peak condition and safe. If your looking for a mechanic look no further Jenkins Automotive is the place for you.

We've been using Jenkins for years. My husband drives for a living, we put a lot of miles on our vehicles. Jenkins has always been timely, helpful, and conscientious, and I trust their expertise explicitly. You never have to worry you're getting the runaround, unlike some shops. I'd call out employees by name, but there are at least six people that I'm happy to see behind the counter when I walk in, because I know they're going to take good care of things for me, and you can't ask for more than that at a business.

Staff is friendly and extremely efficient ! Anyone that doesn't think they do awesome work should look at their parking lot ! That will tell the TRUE story rather than the posts in the reviews . I take both of my vehicles to them for service and have always been treated with dignity and respect . When I take my vehicles in I want to know that everything has been checked as I am very concerned about ANY vehicle my family drives. Unlike some guys I know I want my family to have the safest trip possible !

Jenkins does not stand behind their work. Went to them for about 12 years, and finally had enough of their rudeness to women and calling my husband a liar. After an oil change they didn't put things back together correctly, and told him the reason the covering for the undercarriage came undone was because he hit a turkey on the interstate. I think it shows they don't appreciate loyalty. We are taking our vehicles to a great place now.

Told me it would be 2 hours. All i needed was an inspection. They had a full lot so it was understandable. I was out in less than an hour. They definitely dont try to make you wait too long. If you are going to stay and wait for your car they will do their best to squeeze you in.

I took my truck in this morning (its a Saturday, about 0830) for an oil change and inspection. Didn't have an appointment. Dude told me they'd do their best to get it before closing (1400). I took a walk, had breakfast, and came back about 1000, and it was ready. Considering they had all bays full when i i t there and i didn't have an appointment, this was pretty dang nice. AND there were no extra charges or suprises, except that tge price had been reduced a few dollars thanks to a coupon they had available. The staff that i encountered seemed personable enough as well. All in all, this was a great experience.

The failed to fix a fuel pump properly. Had it break down two months later. They claim rodents are it both times but never mentioned it the first time. Took it back because now the check engine light is coming a day after it was fixed and the oil change place ran a diagnostic that showed it was a bad fuel pump.Showed up again and the manager, Greg, cussed me out and with his hand shooed me away.He is an awful man and this place is shady, doesn t fix the work and will rip you off. Be very aware. I can t wait to take them to court!

Love that I can request appointments online and designate email preference for contact. I had them mount and balance 4 tires for me. Pricing was what I expected, and time to do the work was quick. Didnt get in right when my appointment was, but it wasnt too far off. Very professional and friendly employees. Covid measures were in place and followed by everyone I saw.

An honest mechanic is hard to find. I brought my car in thinking I new I was in for an expensive repair, and told them what I thought the problem was up front. Turns out it was a minor wiring issue that they found and fixed for about $70 dollars when I was expecting to pay close to 1K. I will be happy to recommend them and bring my cars back in the future.

Went in for inspection and Greg made a weird remark about me "expecting " a car, and asked WHEN I CONCEIVED!! I'm sure I gave him a look as if he were just plain stupid. My car failed inspection. (Our fault, not theirs), but he changed his story about why, and blew it off as, oops, wrong car. It left me wondering if he knew what he was talking about. Then he quoted me a price to fix the car, and I told him my husband could do the work himself. So he asked if he'd use duct tape.Left me with a bad impression of himself.Won't go back. Just the snide remarks alone make him sound silly, and cast a bad image of the shop. I'm sure the mechanics are just fine if you can make it past the front staff.Absolutely inane and inappropriate!

The people who work there are amazing and the prices are reasonably. I wish they were open longer but other than that they really helped me with my car.
