Got an appointment the next day. I was given a pre- estimate that matched the final bill. $730 for two mufflers on a Subaru. It is high, but I have nothing to compare it with. I knew what to expect beforehand.Work was completed even before the promised time.

Took my truck in to replace the muffler. The work was done quickly but we couldn t pick it up till the next day. It appeared that they didn t lock the truck up at night because all of the locks were unlocked and it was clear someone had rifled through it. Not much was in there but some items were stolen including the entire change drawer. Spoke to staff about it and they couldn t care less. 10/10 would not recommend.

Horrible service. DO NOT go there for an inspection. They will try to do whatever they can to fail you. Not to mention how they talk to and treat people. Well guess what? This "little girl" as you called me, had an inspection done elsewhere and passed no problem. Highly do not recommend

I had a 9AM appt for a front end alignment. When I dropped it off I asked if I could pick it up at noon and I was told we'll call you. I have to make life arrangements just like they do so I make appts. At 12:30 it hadn't been looked at and I informed them I needed my car at 2...5 hrs after my appt.At 2 my car hadn't been looked at yet. If one of them came to see me for an appt and I was running behind an hour I would give them the courtesy of a call to let them know so they could schedule their life how it works best. Then they want to know if I want to R/S. What for? To wait again and waste .Not going that road again even if they do good work.a day without getting it worked on? No thank youA call would have been responsible and appreciated.

So I took my vehicle here for diagnostic work. I had a check engine light that was repeatedly coming on and we had replaced several parts trying to rectify it. However the light would return with a new code. I contacted them about the issue and explained all of the different codes that had been scanned and asked if they could identify what was wrong with the vehicle. My intention was to have them both diagnose and repair.I was told that they would preform a diagnostic on the vehicle to identify the problem. I took the vehicle in and happily waited to see what work would need to be performed.When I spoke with Brendan he explained that the machine showed 3 different codes. I asked what they needed to do and he said he wasn't sure but if I wanted a "deeper dive" done they would continue to look at it and charge me the hourly rate. After some discussion, I was put on the phone with the mechanic.He explained that the they had only ran the scan on the machine and had not checked any of the issues. When asked what he thought would fix the problem he suggested a "full tune up". Since I had already replaced the spark plugs myself what would the tune up entail. He said he was not sure. I asked him if that would fix the issue he said that he did not know.So long story short I paid $100 for information I had already gotten free from the parts store. I could have bought my own scan tool on Amazon for cheaper. They performed no diagnostic work whatso ever and could not even recommend what repairs they could make to fix the issue. I am very happy with the work I had done on my vehicle. They will tell you like it is with No B.S. and that's something I look for in a business a company, I was told straight up what the vehicle needed shown what the issues were it took a little extra time to get it right but when it left the shop it was right. And now I don't have to worry about it. I would recommend this business very very highly. Integrity is hard to find these days, so when I find a business that operates with integrity I like to let people know.

If it passed it passed i recently bought this vehicle 3 days ago; yet there s several issues marked passed on the cars state inspection not only including both front cv axels being less than 60 miles from going completely, front struts are bad as well and I got all this looked over by another state inspector with 40+ years experience working on both semis and regular every day cars who said this is all the way in the black passed the grey. I was told to call the state police by interstate muffler to see that they was right that it wouldn t fail and the trooper told me I needed to either file a suit with interstate muffler for passing a faulty car or working something out with them to fix this. So far no one s made an effort to work this out.

Had an appointment for a brand new exhaust system. They said they would finish that day when I made the appointment.... over 1 week later I they finished it. They left the Ignition on and ran my battery down. The welds were horrible. I am rebuilding the truck for my dad. I wish I could post pictures. They cross threaded the bolt for the O2 sensor. They ask me to bring it back to put a new bong in it. Instead they just re threaded it when they said theybwould replace it. Hopefully it won't blow out when I was returning it they had to other customers complaining g about the work they did... I would definitely use the one in Staunton instead. I paid over $500 in labor and got a substandard job.Service: Exhaust

They were trying to charge me $60 to dismount a tire telling me it would take them half an hour to do so for only one tire I used to work at a tire shop and would dismount and mount new tires in about half a hour and they want me to wait half a hour for one tire to get dismounted and still pay them $60 it s ridiculous

When our "check engine" light came on as the vehicle was being driven back from Williamsburg, I didn't hesitate to take it to Interstate Mufflers. They "did us right" the previous year with major repairs that cost HALF as much as what Subaru was going to charge. After we picked up the car, it appeared the vehicle was still misfiring and the "check engine" light was still coming on. After spending almost $500 for a tune up I was shocked that we were still experiencing the same problem. When I brought the care back in, Steve mentioned it could be another problem that wasn't found in the diagnostic testing. He was very knowledgeable in explaining what was done, how it was done and why Ignition Coil was not diagnosed. He scheduled the work right away without charge! During these 2 days, he inquired about the Timing belt. After I researched, I realized my vehicle was way overdue to replace it and it was purely by the grace of GOD that my car kept running! They were able to give me a great price on the Timing belt AND get it in right away. Interstate Muffler is professional, reasonably priced and trustworthy.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

My husband went to this place because it was recommended to go to get a new tyrod put in and they ended up charging us for the part and labor but didn t even do anything! My husband only found out because he was going to change the brakes less than a few weeks later and noticed the tyrod was still all rusted up!! He went in today calmly explaining everything and they told him he aligned something and messed something up. They are refusing to do the work they originally are paid for. Do not trust them! Do not bring your car to them. They are not trustworthy people

Went in there for an estimate for a muffler and tailpipe replacement and got an estimate for almost $700. After realizing that we weren't going to get work done for that price, they dropped the price 2 times before I realized that they're just trying to rip people off. So I just fixed it myself for less than $50. They were sweet and nice, but most people don't have that money just sitting around to spend on something other than a mortgage payment.

I purchased quality tires for my car. I called up, made an appointment, explained them what I was intersted in and my price range. I was able to use a coupon from previous work completed on my vehicle. Great communication with me as to what was happening!

I made an appointment. Brought my car by and dropped it off. I suppose because I wasn't there waiting for it to be repaired l got pushed to the end of the line. Called to see what the bill was going to be only to find out that they hadn't even pulled it into the garage yet. I've had other issues before I was hoping it was simply a fluke the last time. They used to be top notch, they've been slipping for the past few years.

I approached Interstate Mufflers asking them to look over an exhaust leak in my vehicle. I was expecting to have to replace several expensive exhaust components such as the manifolds or catalytic converter. They gave the system an overview and found that they could simply cut out a bad section of pipe and weld in a new section. I was impressed with the weld quality and with the turnaround time of the repair. This ended up costing much less that what I was expecting. I feel this company will be honest with their customers and only push for repairs as they see absolutely necessary.

I should not have brought my truck back here. The last time I had to take it back because the breaks were stuck. The fixed that but the break light was stuck on after the first time I used the emergency brake. And the check engine light was on. This time I had to take it back because the break light was stuck on after the the first time I used the break light. And I think I was seriously over charged for the work. NEVER USE THIS SHOP!

Got me in quickly for an appt to fix exhaust so I could pass state inspection. Good price for parta to replace muffler on my 2002 Jetta. Great price for labor. Fast and efficient service. Thorough and professional. Provided clear and economical estimates for the required work, as well as other repairs I might need down the line. Professional and friendly staff....great place. As the Terminator says, "I'll be back". Thanks guys!

They used to be fantastic, now, not so much. They put brakes on my Subaru that squeak more now than when they were bad. My husband took his car in for inspection with the instruction of, if it passes inspection do an oil change, but if it doesn't, don't bother until I decide if I'm repairing it...they failed it and still did the oil change....and charged him for it! We are currently checking out other garages.

Maybe you need something more than a typical auto repair shop? Perhaps a place with that certain je ne sais quoi? An auto repair partner with whom you can create a beautiful, deep, and emotionally connected relationship? Where the mechanics respect and value you personally. You are, after all, more than a lonely customer with worn out ball joints and badly cupped tires. We're not getting any younger here. Who doesn't want, need even, a technician to hold your hand before surgery. Or bring flowers for no reason at all? Anyway, that's not these guys.They did, however, recently fixed my emergency brake cable. It works just fine. I just need more from life.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Battery, Oil change

Since June 2017, I noticed my car would overheat almost everytime I drove it; the guage would shoot up past hot and then shoot down quickly. I took it to Interstate, who decided that I needed to replace my thermostat, water pump, and timing belt. It cost me $1,000. Car still overheated. I took it back four or five more times, each time requesting that they please replace my thermostat (per my father and grandfather's suggestion), which has a warranty on it (mind you it is a very cheap part $8-$15.00). Each time interstate declined to replace it, and wanted to replace other items in my car (hoses/radiator, etc), some that are not even related to the overheating (ELD, brakes, alignment, spark plugs). Since June I have spent aprox $4,000 at interstate for my overheating issue, never getting resolved. I took it to a different mechanic last week, turns out the thermostat Interstate installed in my vehicle was installed INCORRECTLY. The housing sealant that they put around the part leaked into the thermostat, thus causing the sticking and the "overheating". My overheating issue was fixed in a matter of minutes and it cost me $10.00. Never coming here again. I feel that they took advantage of me (being a young lady who knows nothing about cars) and was after $$$.

I went in to talk to Dustin about putting a exhaust on my Subaru WRX. He was very knowledgeable. If you need a place to take your vehicle I highly suggest these guys. I will definitely return for all my exhaust needs.

Amazing, I finally found a shop that will change the oil and filter in my car and not come away with a huge bill. They actually did what I asked with no extra charges. I'll be back again and again.

They will not do any custom work nor will they allow you to bring in any purchased outside of them headers or cats. The prices are outrageous and they guy I spoke over the phone with was very unfriendly

Called to get price cheack on muffler said i had to bring it in so they can look at it. I drove from raphine just so they couls tell me to come back in 2 hrs for a price check. I wont go back to either location
