I've never had a bad experience here. Tracy at the front desk is such a pleasure to deal with and the techs are honest people. I recommend to anyone.

Some of the friendliest people you could work with. During the last leg of a 12-hour road trip, my fiance and I got a flat tire. With a few hundred miles to go and a spare tire that's only suitable for fifty miles or so, I started calling tire shops nearby while she called hotels. Every shop within 50 miles was either booked up or would be closed by the time we could make it. With the holiday so close, the hotels were not looking like an option, either. Luckily one of the shops recommended Tom Frost and we are so glad they did because the folks there said that if we made it to them by 4:30, they could check the tire and patch it, if possible. We got there at 4:28 and while it was unfortunately not repairable, they went through every single option to try and get us back on the road to spend Christmas with our grandparents. The staff at Tom Frost were so friendly and helpful, I almost thought that they would offer to let us stay the night at their home if we couldn't get the tire that we needed. Fortunately, they happened to have a used tire in stock that fit the unusual sized rims that we happened to have and set we made it safely. Thank you, Tom Frost Firestone!

Tom Frost Firestone is the best. We have been loyal customers for over twenty years. I trust them to take care of my vehicles ranging from scheduled maintenance to repairs to sophisticated diagnostics. They have always made sure I was completely satisfied with their work. It's not a coincidence that my cars run smoothly for 15+ years. Try them once, you too will be a customer for years to come.Five years after posting this review and I'm glad to say they're still five star!

I recently came here for a vibration concern at higher speeds when driving my 1992 Toyota Celsior that I had imported for a daily commute vehicle. I had purchased four brand new tires elsewhere in January prior to this. Not only were the staff here able to resolve my issue but they were able to educate me on tires and wear as well as presenting me with the most beautiful alignment sheet I've seen in my entire life. Scott has very gifted hands, Dave and Tracy will treat you like family and inform you of all costs prior to services performed and ensure your satisfaction. I live 30 minutes away and will bring all of my tire concerns here. I'm very particular about my cars as they aremostly Lexus vehicles and I'm sold on this place. Truly an amazing experience.

We have been going to Tom Frost for over 24 years. They have always been professional and honest and their quality is great. They are excellent communicators regarding issues with your vehicle or when it can be expected to be done. We recommend them highly.

I have been a customer of Tom Frost Firestone for decades. Always receive great service, great prices and a welcome and a smile from the staff here. I just recently had my breaks replaced. The pad was defective, but not apparent till they had a few miles on them. I took my truck back and it was corrected at no charge. Thanks!!

My wife and I were traveling when our rear tire started leaking air faster and faster, gave them a call and they were very helpful and even nice enough to adjust their lunch to get us back on the road!

Have been going to Tom Frost Firestone since 1988. Have never had a disappointing experience. Staff always helpful and I appreciate their guidance when buying new tires. Throughout the years I have never had a negative experience. I Like doing business with a hometown business that gives quality service and products.

Is it possible to give negative stars? First let me say I can blame myself for not doing my homework prior to calling this place, lesson learned. I had a temp plug in a rear tire, called on 10:30 am on Saturday asking if they had time today to place a patch. The man who answered the phone complained that they were busy earlier but now they are not so bring it in. Within 10-15 mins I arrived. Within a few minutes he came out to say they cannot patch the tire that I have 3 options, new tires, used tire or to put my spare tire back on. I replied that I am not here to buy tires. This is when his arrogance showed. He was condescending and rude stating that is my only options. I asked that he put my tire back on and I would go elsewhere. He again repeated the 3 options. I told him fine, put the spare on and I will go elsewhere. He never said why they couldn't patch the tire. When the tech pulled my car out I asked why they couldn't patch and he stated the hole was too big. I asked for my keys, he then bolted for the door. So I entered the store again and asked for my keys and the person behind the counter, Dave? said there will be a charge. I asked for what? He said that I need to be a better consumer and quit expecting everything for free and if I don't pay he will call the police. I was shocked that he would start out with threatening to call the police when I never said I was not paying, I simply questioned why he would charge for not performing the service I requested. First I never asked for a free service, second he did not perform a service. I then asked him to call the police, which he then refused to do so. He then stated that I came in at the last minute on a Saturday, I was there at 10:45am and they close at 12pm, and he also said it was ok to come in. I am in the service industry and I understand it took time for them to remove my tire, however the service I requested was not performed and he did not disclose there would be a charge to put on my spare tire. I would have been perfectly fine paying a small fee however with his rude demeanor thinking he could bully me into purchasing tires, is what caused the issue. I guess he has the mentality of a woman walking into his store he can bully into a larger purchase and throws a temper tantrum when he doesn't get over on someone. Our conversation did become extremely heated to the point that I finally gave him my card to run the payment so I could get out of there. I admit that were choice words, not my finest moment, it was almost as though he enjoyed arguing. I had to keep repeating to do his job and run my card so I could leave. As he wanted to stand there shaking my card continuing to argue. After he ran my card he refused to provide a receipt for my payment, only said that I am no longer wanted as a customer and threw my card across the counter. I was not provided a service ticket or any record of the transaction. I can honestly say that I have never experienced such a dishonest person in the service industry. Today, I took the tire to another local service station, they said there is no reason the tire could not be patched since the hole was small and it is on a rear tire. It was fixed and I was out the door. This person has smeared the Firestone name!

We have always had a great experience with Tom Frost Firestone. We have had tires replaced, state inspections, and several other repairs over the years on our three cars. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable.

Service is great and so are the people. Bought new tires and had my car inspected. Got a very comprehensive and honest inspection, which was greatly appreciated. Four stars out of five for the long but worthwhile wait.

Worst place ever. It first starts with me calling to make an appointment for an oil change and a lifetime alignment (which I paid over $200 for a year ago at another location and was told I could take it to any firestone). I was told since they're not corporate they couldn't honor my alignment package so I decided to go ahead and do the oil change since my change oil light was on. Well when I went to pick it up I had oil dripping down my passenger side quarter panel and scratches to match. I went inside and told the gentleman at the counter about it so he grabbed a mechanic to come out to look at it. They pulled it into the bay and 5 minutes later called my husband and I into the bay to come look at it and had decided the scratches were not on them because the mechanic was not wearing a belt and he ALWAYS has his shirt pulled out, so obviously they were not going to omit fault. I got $5 off my bill and they got a very unhappy customer who will never return.

Was ready to step into this place but to my shock there were two men standing guard outside, especially to point fingers at and direct pedestrians to walk on the sidewalk and not pass through their parking lot. Each one of them. Nope, no one even parked there. I don t want to indicate much but it looked motivated by something else.Guess they did not have much work indoors.

During a state re-inspection the mechanic discovered that a brake repair by anther garage (while I was in Pennsylvania) was done incorrectly, showed me the problem, and put it all back together as it should have been. Prompt, professional, and friendly service. They saved me.

I've been going to Tom Frost Firestone since I moved to the area seven years ago. They are very honest which is important for a mechanic. They do good work and treat their customers with courtesy.

I had a blowout on my way to work yesterday. Between Gainesville and Culpeper, they were the only tire shop that had my size tire. I dropped my rim off at lunch and they were done in no time. The friendly staff outshined my bad morning!

Brought a car in for new tires and all I got was a headache. Dont you think you should advise a customer there brakes are bad. You spent more time trying to get more expensive work out of me. I was advised by another previous customer not to use this location and I should have listened.

I am not a mechanic but try my best to perform basic maintenance on my '06 Frontier (and before that my '95 Toyota P/U). I used to take my Toyota to another shop in town for all my major repairs/services with no complaints. However, one day I decided to try out Tom Frost because apparently my Grandfather, a retired Air Force A-1 / KC-97 pilot, swore by them. After my first invoice I immediately realized that their labor rates were far less expensive than the other shop, without sacrificing customer service or competent mechanics.Later on, the head gaskets on my Toyota blew - a truck which I've had since I learned to drive (I am now 27). It had 187,000 miles and had recently replaced the radiator, the entire brake system, and front suspension - I was convinced that if I invested the money to get a new gasket, the truck could last another 100,000 miles - I just didn't want to let my truck die, it meant too much to me. Suffice to say, I was ready to drop the $1400 quoted by Firestone. Before I could make that decision official, Dave (the owner), took me aside and explained that there was significant risk to replacing the gaskets. As he explained, the other components within the engine still had 187,000 miles on them and chances are they would not be able to handle the increase in compression (brought on by a new gasket). Perhaps the truck would last another 100,000, or maybe it would last 100 miles before breaking down. It was a scenario that he had dealt with many times in the years he'd been in the business.I was in awe. Here is a man trying to run a business - in a rough economy - who was more interested in saving me money rather than making himself, his business, easy money off of a kid who knows very little about mechanics. I gratefully listened to his words of warning and decided to sell the Toyota before buying an '06 Frontier (which I am extremely pleased with). While I miss my old truck, I do not have any doubts about my ultimate decision because I trusted Dave's years of experience...and his honesty. In the end, his mechanics are people and people can make mistakes - but there is no shop in town that can claim anything different. The other post was great in that when mistakes are made, Dave does what he can to rectify the situation in a rational way.So the important question is where can one get the best service for the best price. The answer is simple: Tom Frost Firestone.

Terrible experience- they charged us $100 just to diagnose our car repair needs and then came back with a very long list of repairs for a 1998 truck! We had the truck towed to Chick's for a second opinion and they only came up with one thing to repair immediately, and didn't charge us $100 to do the diagnosis! We have also had instances where Tom Frost was supposed to rotate our tires and they didn't- we know because my husband marks the tires with chalk- he doesn't trust anyone! Stay AWAY!
