First want to say. I've been meaning to put this review up for few weeks. This shop is very trust worthy. I took my F150 to them to get a better look at my issue. I was pretty sure what it was and even told them I wanted it replaced regardless. Some may get mad some may not at this. But they refused to to any parts on without being able to see what was going on first. Had a random oil cooler housing gasket intermittently dripping oil. They went as far as diy testing it. Took few to find. When it finally started to leak in their shop they called and Honored their quoted price. This is a Very nice MOM AND POPS SHOP. Just if TMC auto sees this review Thank you for the great service

It is very rare to find a mechanic with integrity and that takes pleasure in a job well done. I recently had my brake system overhauled after a shyster in New York City did nebulous repairs on my CRV. TMC took care of my car and now I am confident that I can brake adequately in any circumstances. Note: My car is a 2005 CRV with over 281K miles, which I m confident will keep on running much longer, thanks to TMC. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly to family and friends!

CUSTOM WELD JOBSwent in a year ago to get a Bung welded onto my down pipe for my car so that I can install an air/Fuel sensor and now, a year later, it s still attached cleanly and strong.Today I went in to fix my exhaust pipe on my bike sticking out too much, spoke with the welder and explained what I wanted and 50 Minutes Later had a finished product meeting all my expectations.

I had installed a hitch receiver on my 2018 Subaru. The muffler was making contact with the receiver and making an awful noise while driving. I brought it to several other shops, but no one wanted to touch the job as if they could only install pre-fabricated pipes and cannot do custom work on exhaust.I took my car to TMC, where my company van gets worked on, they assessed the issue and concluded that removing a small section of length will produce my desired results. They were RIGHT. No more exhaust contact with my receiver.THANK YOU!!Service: Exhaust

This is a family run business, and I have been going here for almost 20 years. Good work and good service, and they don't do any repairs that don't need to be done. I live almost 45 minutes away, one way, but it's worth the drive for me. Always check with them, especially if you need an inspection, because they are such a good repair shop that they are very very busy. Highly recommend them

Very helpful shop. ANY work I can't do or don't have time to do TMC takes good care of me, my vehicle, and they don't take advantage of any situations. Prices are comparable if not better than most shops around. Fred behind the counter is respectable, honest, and very knowledgeable when it comes to automotive. James the tech who worked on my vehicle is good at what he does and he respects your property. I had a rotate and balance with an alignment but I have very nice rims that did not get a single scratch. Hard to find shops like this. I will return and I recommend this place for any automotive need or exhaust work (great welders).

Took my vehicle there for their $89.00 diagnostic test with the understanding that with that they would most likely have it all fixed. Then they tell me my total would be $538!!!! When I asked for an explanation of the cost they told me multiple answers and then wouldn't even guarantee that would fix the problem. When I told them not to do it they then tried to charge me $250 for the $89 diagnostic test and an oil change! Then after multiple phone calls and request to speak to the owner they finally dropped the price to a normal price and told me to never bring my car back to them. Very professional....

Dropped off car at 8 a.m. and was called at 11:30 to pick up. They did a wonderful job putting in my muffler and new tailpipes. They even checked out a rattling noise that turned out to be a loose flange. They tightened it up for me after expressing I didn't like hearing this noise. They were so very polite, I will be bring my business here again.

The service was awesome. Repaired my truck as promised and lower than quoted. That is always nice. Maybe on the pricey side but it was worth it to not have hassles like so many places today. Thank you MTV! Go there if you value quality work and service.

I took my truck in for exhaust work. Gene was going to be the one to do it because he was an antique car truck enthusiast. He was not there. I checked for 4 days to see if he was there. I don't know where he went or what happened to him. So on a chance that he might show up I decided to go ahead and take my truck in. They pull my truck in and whip out flashlights examining it as if it's something they had never seen before-ever. Two guys with a flashlight and a third guy with a cigarette. I just had a bad feeling. I had my three-year-old daughter with me. I had a feeling that they were going to take forever to do it and they kept giving me that look that I am not supposed to cross the line and look at my truck while it is on the lift. I took it to another shop and they didn't mind. I understand it has something to do with the insurance. This was my experience.

Awesome service !!! They helped me with a custom project of some pipe bending. The craftsmanship was top notch as well as being done in a timely manner. Very reasonably priced. Ownership of this manner is almost non existent anymore !!!

Privately owned Kenny T and his crew are honest and reliable. If you take your vehicles anywhere else for anything from inspections to brakes or any other work you are making a mistake. Simply the best in all of Hampton Roads. Period.

Kenny and his crew are great! The problem was diagnosed quickly and correctly. Our car was ready earlier than expected, and NOOOOO additional "surprises" when we picked it up! Glad we found this place! Will be back (not too soon hopefully!)

We have been using The Muffler Center (TMC Auto) to service our vehicles since 1985 and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. This is a family-run business that operates with honesty and integrity and they are the only company we recommend to family and friends.

Dropped of truck for inspection and told front desk also needed brakes before inspection. Now I dropped of Wednesday night for appointment first thing in mourning. I called to check status at noon, and said just got off lift and needed new brakes they had to order and car wouldnt be ready for maybe 2 days. This after already made appointment telling them wanted new brakes. So after raising hell, they miraculously got parts and began fixing. So called back at 430 and was told they stopped with two brakes left for closing duties and car wouldnt be ready til next day. This is unacceptable for someone with appointment and had promise to finish same day then got pushed back for some reason. Been going for years and havent hadnt nothing but issues past couple. Will be looking elsewhere for auto service.

The guy that does the exhaust work really did a great job. The other technicians seemed to all be busy and working hard too. If you need some custom exhaust made or just a general repair, go see these guys.

Over Charged us by $700 and then we found out that the discrepancy was misdiagnosed. Instead of changing the spark plugs, the Catalyst Converter was changed. The Vehicle broke down in another state and we had to drive to another NAPA garage, which cost another $300 to repair. We ended up trading the vehicle through a local dealer in Virginia Beach. We've been with them for 5 years and noticed their service lacked quality and honesty. See ya!

I have done my car inspection here. Same day in 10 15 minutes. I will come back for oil and brake change to this place. They were very nice and fast.

Needed two tires mounted for a rolling chassis. They took me in without appointment and got them done. No up-sales, no hidden agenda. Even helped me load them! Thanks a million TMC! I will be returning to get the other two done along with some custom exhaust work in the future.

They don t warranty parts that they install. They talk a good game but when another shop points out their mistakes they won t refund you. Their prices are high as hell. Don t go there. USN retiredService: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Was there today needed a flex pipe to pass inspection Last week my taxi falled inspection because of a excust leak went to a muffler shop they told 500 to replace went to another Auto shop they ordered a part for it that still hasn't come in yet 1 week later so I went today to TMC auto they 200 plus they already had the part in stock the workers and mangermet we're awesome I was in and out 2 hours very happy I went here will definitely be going back there in the future

They all about money all I needed was one front tired they tired to charge me 300 some sum odd dollars for extra stuff i didnt even need smh. I will never go back a ripoff.
