One week they quoted me work on car $450 so I returned 2 weeks later and was quoted $1900! They just did inspection the prior week and now I need all new brakes, rotors, calibers, pads and front wheel bearing! How did my car pass inspection if had bad brakes and they just gave me new inspection sticker! Beware!!!

They are lazy and don t care about giving good service anymore. I took my car there a year ago for an oil leak. They couldn t find it and didn t fix it. It was a cracked oil filter case, which is a common problem for my engine. It ended up leaking all over the place all weekend. I had to take it somewhere else. This year, I took it there to get the rear rotors replaced. They insisted they were fine and that it was the front rotors, which I told them had been done less than a year before. Well the rear rotors were replaced elsewhere and the problem is fixed, so they were wrong. They charged me $100 to remove my breathalyzer for their very wrong diagnostic and not doing the job I asked them to. I went here for years. I will never be back.

I have a 2022 Mitshibishi Outlander. I took my truck there on Aug 7th for an inspection. The morning of Aug 8th I noticed my exterior trim piece was missing. It was not brought to them in that condition. I called them immediately. I told the mechanic that the trim to the left bottom door was missing. He stated "No we wouldn't have been back their anyways for a car inspection." They were polite but I won't be returning.

See bottom for summaryWill rip you off. Brought my car in because of frontal suspension noises (snapping, clunking, etc) intermittently over bumps and during slow tight turns.First Visit: Couldnt figure it out since the noise wasnt happening when they were driving it.Second Visit: I drove the mechanic around in the car and made the noise happen, he believed it was the front passenger side strut, but needed to lift it and disassemble to confirm, later that day they called and told me that the front passenger strut was collapsing. And new ones would be 1000+ to replace.Third Visit: They installed the new struts and the car STILL made all the noises IMMEDIATELY upon driving. I showed the mechanic again and he said it might be the control arms.At that point I decided to take it to the dealer and see what they say. They couldnt pin point the problem due to the noise not happening when they drive it around, BUT retorqued all the bolts to spec just in case and it has been running fine ever since!!! AND the dealer did it for free!!! It has been over a month now and no problems!!!Summary:Claimed issue was struts in suspension. ($1000+ job) Then claimed they needed to look at the control arms when replacing the struts didnt work. Took car to dealer for second opinion and all they did was retorque the bolts to spec for free and has been running perfectly ever since. They are complete ripoffs!

Professional, courteous and punctual!! After being recommended to use Paul's Auto service by locals, including an Advanced Auto store, we took their earliest appointment. The staff informed me of their findings throughout the day and their best way to navigate my request with a rear door handle. The door has worked great, as well as the AC repair, Power-Steering and Electrical fix for interior lights. The cost for all that was done was extremely fair and they finished my car the very next day, EARLIER than I expected. I appreciate hard-working, honest teams like this and would recommend them to everyone.Services: Electrical repair, Steering & suspension replacement, Air conditioning, Auto maintenance, Oil change

This was one of the best experience of getting my vehicle state inspection. From the easy set up appointment, to waiting comfortably in their waiting area. Which was clean, and offered free good coffee! Also I loved the honor system for soda/snacks. (A slot you put your money in). In a world of distrust, it was nice to see such. Such nice and welcoming people work at Paul's. My first time there, but def will be my preferred shop for my auto needs. Thanks for the courteous, professional service; with the nice dose of friendliness!

I have gone to Paul s Auto since the 80 s! They have always been kind & honest with me & have given me quick appointments!I deeply miss Nick. He was a delight every year to talk to, while he was doing my State Inspections. I had Noah this year & he did a great job. He is a breath of fresh air. I always like how clean they kept their mechanics bays. Very impressive. Back in the day, I remember Paul s wife scrubbing the cement floors.

Worst service ever. I was told to come in at 8am!!!! To get my alignment done. I get there and 2 hours go by and everyone s just sitting around not doing anything! Pure laziness & then dude upfront told me it ll be done in one hour after 2 hours go by. Time is money. Wasted time and terrible service. I will never refer this place to anyone. Save your time and money! But it is $75 a alignment you definitely get what you pay for !Service: Wheel alignment

Thank you! Thank you! I would like to thank Mr.Paul and his staff for conducting my vehicle inspection on November 10th on my Dodge Magnum. My work schedule is very hectic, which had prevented me from getting a vehicle inspection sooner. They were able to get me in and inspect my vehicle the following business day. I also love the secured drop off box which allows you to drop off your keys. And also the envelope is very professional and detailed oriented. I feel that this establishment has integrity and will not try to gouge you financially. The staff is very well groomed and uniforms are very clean along with the presentation of the establishment.Thank you again.

I ve been using Paul s Auto for about 2 years for inspections and basic maintenance like brake pads etc. I m a female and definitely have felt talked down to regarding any questions I have. My recent issue was I dropped my car off after calling to schedule an appointment for my specific request of brake change, oil change, and then inspection the british guy said drop it off thursday morning and it ll be ready end of day. Come Friday someone calls me saying my car failed inspection and listed what needs to be fixed including brakes. I asked what was completed he said I ve only been able to do oil change and if you want the rest the car won t be ready til end of day Monday. My first question is WHY do an inspection first if I m telling you I need new brakes etc. Second, why did you have my car for 2 days and only do an oil change and inspection? Waste of my time and had absolutely no regard for inconveniencing me. I have work to get to. I said give me my car right now and I have gone elsewhere and got fantastic service.

They are scamming like everyone else. They tell you a price, then once you leave your vehicle, they call with a higher price. Especially with the older crowd. They priced my father then called and said itd be another 500 for the same thing as they agreed on. They are crooked just like the rest of themService: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I made an appointment for a state inspection for 1015am today, Mar 31. I was in and out in less than an hour. The mechanic who inspected my car was very informative about my brakes which will need to be replaced soon. In and out quickly, honest, and up front. I will definitely be using Paul's Auto for future needs.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Paul's Auto Service proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they truly care about their customers and not just making a quick buck. I've had to take my car to at least 3 different auto shops to find out what was causing it issues and Paul's Auto Service was the only place that didn't try to take advantage of me just because I was a single woman with no knowledge of cars. They were honest in telling me what the problems were and that my car was not worth fixing. They work fast, are very economically priced and above all else they are HONEST. I'm so grateful I found this place. Would recommend it to anyone who is looking for good service with an honest attitude!

I stopped by last week to get my car inspected and unfortunately they had a long waiting list to be seen. I got in Tuesday afternoon and dropped my '95 Subaru off and waited in their nice waiting room. Nick inspected my car and let me just say... I was so impressed with how kind and transparent he was throughout the process. He made sure I was comfortable in the waiting room and that I understood everything that needed to be done to my car. Thank you, Nick!

Somewhat disappointed. Took my F150 there on the recommendation of a friend and then the reviews. It was idling rough, hesitating on acceleration and shuddering. They called me and said it was a transmission problem and they do not do transmissions. I took it to a transmission shop, and they replaced 2 coils and spark plugs. Fixed the problem. I am disappointed they could not diagnose the problem. Paid $55 for the diagnostic.

Nick was the gentleman who performed my auto inspection and he was incredibly kind and helpful. The lady in the office was also very kind and answered all of my questions. I was so glad I came in. I had to wait over an hour, but that was fine because other locations couldn't get to my car until Monday. I will be back :)

I've been going to them for over a year now for state inspections and oil changes, along with a few extra services. For the simple services, they are usually done within a day. For my more extensive problems, they've communicated fully what the problem is and what my options are without pressuring to make a sale. If you are local, I would recommend them.

I didn't catch the name of the sweet, older gentlemen who took care of my car (unfortunate because we had some funny conversations!) but this was the best auto experience I've ever had. As a female, sadly, auto body shops try to take advantage of your lack of knowledge (ex: Carmasters in Norfolk was a disaster; and I do have SOME working knowledge). This place did none of that funny business. It was wonderful, and I certainly won't be taking my car anywhere else for routine work or if something goes wrong!

I got in to a fender bender and needed my bumper replaced. Since I was paying out of my pocket for it they gave me estimates using both new or used parts, which saved me money and the used part they got looked good. They were very professional and stayed with the price given as the estimate since there was no further damage found. I would highly recommend them.

Let me start by saying that there was nothing wrong with my car when I brought it in- I just needed a tune-up/some new spark plugs, etc. Seven days later, my start engine light was on and the battery was dead. I was told that it was the throttle body and battery cable. In good faith, I paid an additional $400 for this. Three days later, you guessed it, my car wouldn't start again. This time, I had had to pay an additional $580 for a new starter and battery. At the very LEAST, I should have been compensated the towing fee since, clearly, the throttle was a very expensive misdiagnosis, but no. To say that all confidence and trust was lost is an understatement.

I was recently involved in an auto accident (not my fault) and Paul's did an excellent job repairing my truck. It is as good as new. Additionally, they do all of our fleet services, and have them done in a timely manner, and they're prices are comparable to other service centers. We really like Paul's!
