I recently visited the Courthouse Automotive repair shop for a diagnostic check for my SUV's check engine light. I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. The team there did an exceptional job at diagnosing and fixing the issue. The cost was reasonable, and the technicians were knowledgeable. What stood out most, however, was their trustworthiness. Not every day you come across a service team that you feel genuinely has your best interests at heart. I highly recommend this repair shop to anyone needing vehicle maintenance or repairs. Their combination of expertise, customer service, and fair pricing is a rare find in the industry.

I've trusted Courthouse Auto with my suv for years and have consistently found them to do honest work for competitive prices. Awesome shop with an awesome staff/mechanics. Totally honest shop!! I have been taking my vehicles here exclusively for a while now. I've been going to Courthouse Automotive for over ten years. I've always been skeptical of car repair shops but this place is the most honest shop I've ever been to. They tell you exactly what is wrong with your car and the costs. As a woman, sometimes you think they are not listening to you, but Courthouse makes me feel heard. They are quick, reliable, and have fair prices and guarantee their work. They are on the other side of town from me but I will always make the drive just to make sure THEY are the ones working on my car.Highly recommend!!!

Normally, I m super skeptical when going to a new automotive shop, but I am so grateful I took the chance! Have had nothing but great experiences whether over the phone or at the shop.Courthouse Auto allows you to drop your vehicle off the at night with a key drop box to be worked on the next day or as soon as they are available. I utilized this service for my state inspection, and they had my vehicle checked and completed within 2 hours of opening.

Shawn, the owner of Courthouse Auto, is fantastic. I brought my car into his shop in September 2022 and he truly went above and beyond for me. He is honest and obviously cares about his business. David, his tech (aka "Skinny Santa") is also wonderful. It is such a relief knowing there is a fair, upstanding auto repair shop just around the corner from my work. Would recommend 100%. I was extremely happy with the service. I found them very trustworthy and helpful. I needed emergency service performed while out of town and with limited time. They got me back on the road and the cost was more than reasonable - I highly recommend them !!

Brought my car here after another local place tried to upsell me on work after they failed my car during a state inspection. Dan and the team at Courthouse Auto checked the alleged defect, tightened one bolt, and completed the state inspection for $20. Compare this to a $400+ estimate at the other place. Honesty and integrity in action. Courthouse will get my business going forward for sure.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My wife and I were visiting family and had to deal with repairing a flat tire. My brother suggested Courthouse Automotive. Wes was able to fit my needs into his already busy schedule. Plugged my flat tire, and repaired my travel trailer tire at the same time. Reasonably priced. I am more than happy with the service I received. I now have a trustworthy repair shop in Va Beach and will absolutely call on them again if I am in need of auto repairs.

Great folks, great service...Did me a solid by inspecting my 2017 Jeep JKU in a pinch. I ve also had them do work on all my past older cars... breaks/ oil changes/ alignments.If you re in the Courthouse area, i highly recommend them!Services: Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

Shawn and the guys have taken great care of ever since I first stepped into the garage in 2007! Especially when my 1995 limited edition toyota celica needed a whole new engine and more!!! I have used Courthouse Automotive since we moved to VB (~1.5 years). They have always been attentive with service and fair. Recently I took in a flat tire (screw) and they fixed it on the spot at no cost (Merry Christmas!).

Courthouse Automotive has always been very courteous, sometimes they're really busy and my needs will wait to the very next day. I have absolutely no complaints.I'd like to say thank you,Anthony JA few months ago I walked in looking for a1157 12 bulb, hoping to give them a little more business the reply I got was very I tasteful. The answer I got was we don t stock these things go to Walmart and find what you need with a bit of an attitude. How would I know they don t stock a popular 12 volt bulb. I guess I ll have to find another place to go in the future.I d like to add, I don t know who this person is but. Whoever takes care of the front desk is horrible.

Every time I have had to bring my cars in the service was great and efficient. Whether making an appointment, or needing to drop off due to emergency the team gets on the job and my car is ready same day.I highly recommend Courthouse Automotive.

I found this place from word of mouth. I have driven past this place for so many years and thought what a cool old building in the Courthouse complex. I was switching out my struts and needed the springs compressed and the new strut reassembled. They told me to bring the old struts and the new parts into the shop early and they would take of it. I bought them in early, got a fair price and they were finished in 45 minutes.All as promised

I drive a 2003 BMW 325i. I have not had any significant problems with the car and have owned it for 4 years. I brought it into Courthouse to get the A/C charged, inspection added, and oil changed. They fixed these items and then went to pick me up to bring me the car. The car wouldn t start. They sent Vinny over to pick me up in a different car. Vinny indicated that they were hoping that it was just low on fuel, but that this likely wasn t the case as there was still 1/8 of the tank full. I spoke with Vinny of the seemingly obvious relationship between the work they did on my car and the fact that it is now broken. He indicated that of course they would fix it at no extra charge because it is obvious that the work they did impacted the car. Again, here is the sequence of events:1. Car runs fine for years.2. Bring car into get serviced at Courthouse Automotive.3. Car doesn t work when they are done servicing the car.4. Courthouse staff maintains that the work they did to the car had nothing to do with the car now not working.Courthouse Automotive s inability to see how they negatively impacted my car is baffling to me. I was trying to explain this to them, but they just refused to see it. It is like having your washer and dryer working fine. You call an appliance repairman to have them serviced. He comes in and services the washer and dryer. You then try to use them and they don t work. You call the guy and say hey, it looks like you broke my washer and dryer and he says nope, the work I did didn t have anything to do with them now being broken. My car has been running well for years, I bring it into get routine maintenance done, and now it isn t working. Be careful. They may do maintenance on your car and you ll end up spending an additional $650.00 just to get your car back.

Had my AC diagnosed for repairs $1400. Then called me back and said it was going to be at least $4000. I understand that they thought it was the right way to repair the problem. The issue came iwhen I decided to decline the repairs and pick up the vehicle. I paid the $150 to diagnose the problem. When I took it to the dealership for an estimate they said bolts were left off the compressor and ac lines were never put back on. I had to pay extra to the dealership just so they could put it back together to properly test it.

When Shawn, the owner, was running the shop I had utmost confidence in reliable, reasonably priced, repairs. Since then, it s always an up sell. In for a battery, phone call repairs are complete, hour later needs and alternator.Another instance need brake pads, proceed with repairs , now you need both calipers and rotors. Repair complete. However, rotors warped after 6000 miles.I DONT TRUST THEM !! Not even sure the replaced the rotors or verified run out prior to installing.

My daughter was having a squealing from the rear brakes on her 2014 Ford Escape. Went to Courthouse on the recommendation of her boyfriends parents. Original repair estimate for one new caliper, new rotors and pads and a fluid flush was $750ish. Yikes! Dad(me) called and talked to the tech. He said if the caliper wasn't sticking she could just get pads. I told him to just do the pads. Just the pads were done and the repair bill was still $278. Pads at any parts store are $50 max. she was charged 87.99. A diagnostic fee of $50 plus a hour and a half of labor worth $130. I feel that she was over-charged by $100. Why? Because my local shop bill for this same job in the Pittsburgh, Pa area would have been half that price. Sean, the owner, stood by this repair charge. My advice to prospective clients, "Know the price of the parts being replaced and question the need for every item being replaced"
