I went in to get an annual inspection and regular oil change. The oil change was $95 I felt they took advantage of me, the normal price for an oil change is 45-55 anywhere else. They were nice and looked up other prices for me. They had coffee and the waiting area was comfortable. They told me 1800 to replace motor on electric seats, looked that price up when I got home and should be less than 1000 including labor.

I get state my inspection here every year and they ALWAYS take care of me. If maintenance is needed to pass, they never price gouge and are always helpful. I definitely recommend.

What an awesome experience! Danny was the manager of barbers him and his crew were prepared for business.Very straight forward and accommodating in a TIMELY orderly fashion when I was found in a jam!Conveniently located , reasonably priced and speedy work!!Couldn t have asked for anything better from Barbers! Much appreciated Danny and Crew!

Choose another shop!! I went for an oil change and inspection and was failed and told I needed several other items, among them a pretty expensive quote for brake pads and they recommended rotors as well. It seemed fishy so I took my car out and come to find out I have 2 years left on these pads and thus definitely don't need rotors, either. Stop trying to scam women!Eta--I don't mind failing an inspection when my car needs stuff that's how I have 200k on it, because I spend what I need to. What I do mind is being told I need rotors when my brake pads aren't even all the way worn down, so regardless if I was told an amt of time or a measurement of how much pad was left, you failed me for items I didn't even need. That's not how you get repeat business. There's plenty of real work out here and I live close by and would have probably frequented your shop had I not been lied to blatantly. That's the only point, so don't try to invalidate the reality of what happened to me at my visit to this shop. Others deserve to know, and i'm not the only review like this, which says a lot..Service: Oil change

Here's the deal... No one likes to have to get an emergency repair done ... no one! But, if you build a relationship with your service center & the staff then you will not feel like you have been taken advantage of. Nope! What happens is regular maintenance, find out what needs to be done, & make a plan.Well, that's the way it is for my husband and I. The relationship, trust, & faith that they have your best interest at heart.Barber's Tire & Auto (See Casey, Danny & the Team)

Terrible, failed our inspection, wrote up 1000 invoice to pass breaks rotors etc..told them fail it brought to Jim's auto 2 on lynhaven didn't need breaks or rotors. 500 dollars less our car back on rd..after Casey responded to my review I sent proof to her..everyone on here w bad review is lying according to Casey, she never responded to my call she comes on here to save face..they ain't going to last long..just go thru the responses of Casey to the ppl w something to say about their practices it tells u everything..STAY AWAY

I have been bringing all of the vehicles to Barber's for many years. Casey and team are very professional and have always provided an honest assessment of necessary vs recommended repairs and maintenance. I appreciate having a trustworthy auto shop to care for my vehicles. And the coupon card they offer is a real deal! Highly recommend Barber's for all car care needs.

Long story short would not recommend. Took my car here 3 times over a 6 week period for the same issue. Spent over $3000 ($2000 of that being labor) and still having the same problems. Wish they would have done a complete diagnostic to begin with so I could have made the choice to put that 3,000 towards a new vehicle instead. Now I have a vehicle that has the same problem it had to begin with and needs thousands of dollars more work for a complete head job or new motor and cant afford to pay for repairs and also out that $3000 I could have put towards a down payment if they only would have giving me the complete information to begin with. Staff was very friendly including Danny who works in the front and was extremely helpful but definitely wouldn't recommend them for mechanical work. (Only getting 2 stars because of Danny being so friendly and helpful)

Trustworthy auto mechanic shop that provides excellent service and reasonable $ rates. I've been a customer since 95 and highly recommend them. In the past we had 5 drivers, 8 vehicles, and multiple military deployments and it was comforting to be able to trust their integrity and ability to differentiate immediate needs versus things that could wait.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I would ve given 0 stars if allowed. I brought my car in for an inspection. They wanted to charge me $668 to replace bulbs and said I needed to replace the rear brake pad and rotor(which was a complete lie)! Luckily, my father is very knowledgeable and replaced the bulbs, but knew there wasn t anything wrong with the brakes. We took it somewhere else and passed. They were just trying to take my money.

All I expect from an auto repair shop is for them to be honest and fair. I received that and more at Barber's. They are also respectful and courteous. They give straightforward diagnostics, and they are very good at predicting how soon they will have my car ready. The lobby has comfortable chairs, a nice television to keep customers engaged, and complimentary chips, nabs, and soft drinks. Lastly, their bathroom is actually clean. How often are the bathrooms on the side of a service station actually clean? Almost never. I highly recommend this auto shop.

The mechanics are very polite and professional. I came in for a State Inspection. When the inspection was done I was told I needed 5 bulbs (I supplied one of the bulbs) to pass. I gave the okay to proceed. When checking out the cost for the bulbs installed came to $59.80 which I thought was very expensive. After doing some research I could have had them put in for less than half that price. In retrospect, I should have asked the price before proceeding.

Just had my inspection done and one of my brake lights were out. They changed it for free. The staff was very polite and the waiting room was comfortable. Will definitely have more of my business.

They are a great shop. I've never had any work done on my vehicle but I've had a state inspection performed. The owner is very honest I would bring my car to them if I couldn't fix it myself.

I'm travel from out of town and I stopped in because of a flat tire. Mercury the Service Advisor greeted me warmly and plugged my tire with in minutes. For $20 I was on my way with a smile!I consider Barber's to be a trust worthy business. Give them a try .... I did and I left happy.

I brought my car in for state inspection after having it completely serviced at BMW dealer and they came up with a list of problems and failed the state inspection. I asked the mechanics to show me the problems and they tried but couldn t ... one of the things has just been replaced within the past year. They were telling me that my car was going to be undriveable soon and I need to take action now. Worst service ever.

I took my car in for repair on my heater and AC and was charged $2500+ in 2/14 only to find that they had put the wrong part on my car and the hose to the AC was leaning against another part that melted the hose an eventually caused a leak of the refrigerant and therefore the AC only worked for 2 summers. Had the right part been used my AC would still be working. Went back to them 2 times only to be told they only cover their work for 2 yrs. That would be fine had they used the right part and the AC lasted more than 8 months. I will not go back to this company!

I initially posted this to the Holland road location by mistake, reposting it to this location and deleting the other one as I have no experience with the Holland road location. I personally wouldn t go to any location after this visit however.I went in for an iinspection and was rejected due to a worn control arm bushing. I asked to see it, I did look at it and it had normal wear for a rubber bushing, but not enough for a safety issue. The vehicle in question is a 2009 Toyota RAV4 and I keep it up with everything it needs. My wife and kids are always in this car, so safety is a priority for me, but wasting money on replacing parts I don't need isn't. They also recommended atf flush, which is not recommended by the Toyota owners manuals for these transmissions. Recommended spark plugs, even though I have already done this myself. This car is in great condition with no handling issues or uneven tire wear or steering problems. I advised the person to reject it, I'll go somewhere else, which I did and was approved 90 minutes later. I work on cars myself, these guys are trying to create business for themselves for issues that don't exist. They will nitpick your car for padding their own wallets. Not recommended.In response to the previous reply, I stand by my review that there is normal wear on these bushings regarding age and mileage. Yes, any shop can reject anything for their interpretation of what is incorrect according to state inspection procedures. I could have appealed it , but it wasn t worth any more of my time. I simply took it somewhere else and it passed an hour later. I don t think any of the employees were rude at all, they all seemed professional, but there are many other places that won t look for minor technicalities to reject your car.

They were only supposed to change a water pump instead they change the water pump and through a rod so they said we needed a new engine. Got the new engine a month later they put it in and guess what it s worst then before. My mother s Kia is now gone they won t fix what the replace they say it our fault. Don t go there they got us for 2500$ this is sad and we are taking them to court because that s my mothers only car and they made it worse then before. This is sad and unbelievable unprofessional. All they care about is money and they took advantage of my mother.
