He was very speedy with his work! My car was only in the shop for under 24 hours and I needed parts replaced. They gave a good price on the replacements and my car has been running great ever since! I highly recommend bringing your car to them for any issues you may have!!!

Brought my classic Chevy Blazer here to get a tune up. Upon driving it home, the engine was misfiring and after a side of the road diagnosis - I noticed that a new spark plug was not turned into the port tight. Subsequently, I then found a rag that a mechanic left in the bay which had gotten sucked into the radiator fan. Upon my mentioning both of these issues to the owner of the shop, he told me that this was strange because "it ran fine when I took it to the bank earlier this morning."Attention to detail with a rebuilt classic is pretty important and I'm grateful that I narrowly dodged the amount of damage that could have been done while the owner was joy riding my truck around town with a with a misfiring engine a rag sucked into the radiator. I will no longer be doing business here.

Total vehicle overhaul needed and Autoworks helped us work with our warranty company and repaired our severely damaged engine and all side effects. They communicated with us throughout the process, they took care of us so well, and over the years they have become our trusted reliable repair and general maintenance go-to. Finally found a shop I can trust! I've lived in Virginia for almost 2 years after coming from a small town in upstate NY. Where I used to live there were small shops all over not trying to pull anything over on me or sell a company gimmick. I liked those shops because I trusted what they told me. I've found in Virginia that there are many different big auto repair shops to choose from and I have had issues with all of them. I was recommended to this shop by a co-worker who has been using them for years. I was a little skeptical at first because the decor kind of look liked what every Nascar fan pictured when they went to heaven. . But this is a great shop. I was told by another shop that my car needed almost a thousand dollars worth of work to pass my inspection. I brought my car here and they not only told me all I needed was a lightbulb for my license plate but they took the time to explain to me all the other problems that I could have eventually (wear and tear with breaks and tires and such). I felt like for once I was being told the truth and I appreciated being talked to like a person and not like a moneybag. They are also very quick with doing inspections. I will go back to them with all of my issues and recommend them to all of my friends.

This place is a complete scam. Took car in for inspection they told me Defroster broken. NOT ask me to pay cash only red flag but first time with reheated sticker and paid. Took car somewhere else and they said car fine. Have notified state insp people. Don t take car there a complete ripoff and already told a few others who now used to go there

Absolute worse place to get your car done ever! They have no respect for the customers. They over charge and there dishonest! Do not take your car here! It will be a terrible mistake! There rude and disrespectful also.

Whatever you do DO NOT take your car here to be worked on EVER! I bought a van from Autoworks that had been serviced by Mitch for years. Everything seemed to look good on it. Drove well. He was adamant for me not to drive it far or for long because it didn't have gas in it and the tags were expired on it. I had it checked out and everything seemed to be ok. I bought the car and started to drive it home and immediately the check engine light came on and the heat wouldn't work. Brought it back to Mitch. He said he pulled the code. And that he zip tied the blend door open. Pay attention to the zip ties. Because that seems to be a reoccurring theme for Mitch. So, van recently started leaking power steering fluid like crazy. Less than 2 months after buying it. My friend finds it's the rack and pinion leaking. Well, when he took it off he realized that where there should've been metal clamps holding the different pipes/tubes together there was.......you guessed it! ZIP TIES!! It appears that Mitch's answer for every car repair is ZIP TIES! Now I'm worried how much of the rest of my van is being held together with zip ties at this point and how safe it's actually going to be to drive.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Dave, I believe is name said he was going to help me get my car fixed. He never responded to me after trying to hit on me. I m 23 and he s like 55. When I declined him , he never messaged back. Disgusting and unprofessional. The lady that s up from was really nice though. She even gave me a cross keychain which was sweet. But the guy is weird and unprofessional.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I took my car to this service to diagnostic my A/C because this was not working properly. They checked it out and charged me for $174.90 for that and said that AC condenser/KIT needs to be replaced. And they gave me an estimate for about 1800$. I decided to fix it at other shop. I bought all parts. Other shop replaced these parts but my AC still wasn t working. Other shop did diagnostic (100$) again and found a temperature sensor(cost is 50$ and labor 100$) was not working. I called to the first shop to get my money back for a not qualified job. They are still refusing to do a refund saying that there was some leaking, they just vacuumed and recharged a refrigerant, they don t have a computer for a such diagnostic. But nothing of these was saying me before I put my car to them and picked it up. These guys can do just oil change, pump your tire and state inspection. For more difficult job I suggest everyone to look for somebody else.

I have been coming here for 17 years and there is no other shop I trust. I only trust Lee and as a female, this is extremely important when it comes to working on your car. I know that if Lee says I need something done to my car that he is not going to add all kinds of extras onto the price. I highly recommend this location especially for women. In the past I always felt very intimidated when I needed my car inspected or worked on because I am not very knowledgeable about anything that has to do with cars. However after coming here I have been very happy the past 5 years. Very kind and honest people and they do a good job explaining what needs to be done to someone who knows nothing about cars. I always appreciate their service.

Great services and excellent customer serviceGot 2 vehicles inspected today and it was the fastest service I've ever had. The inspector was very knowledgeable about what he was doing and even gave additional suggestions. His services exceeded our expectations. My husband and I will definitely be returning. There aren't many places you can get PERFECT customers service from the time you walk in til the time you leave. I'm definitely a proud customer.RATING DEFINITELY MORE THAN 5 STAR

I cannot thank you enough for helping me out today. I was driving my SUV and all of the sudden received a message on my dash telling me to add air to my tire immediately. I looked and the pressure was at 22 psi so I pulled into the nearest gas station to add air and their air machine was out of service. I could here the hissing of the air coming from my tire. I saw Autoworks across the street so I drove in and asked if they could help me with my tire. The very nice man (I didn't get his name) said his mechanics were at lunch, but he would take a quick look to see if he could just add air. Unfortunately, that was not the case and he said he would take care of it for me. He put it up on the rack and fixed the hole in the tire and sent me on my way. I could see they were busy, and he went above and beyond for me. Thanks again, I really appreciate your help!Service: Tires

Excellent service.Friendly and engaging.They take the time to explain things and treat you fair and make you feel like your having a deeper personal experience rather than just business.Mitch did the work and I believe others helped complete the task in a timely manner it's good to hear about teamwork to execute a job rather than excuses when a deadline is missed.I will continue to recommend them to all my family and friends.

I was in a jam. Out of town visitor at AAU Indoor Track and Field Championships and my CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM warning came on. Honda dealer confirmed my suspicions that my alternator was done. Dealer did not have parts on hand. However, Lee and Stephanie at Autoworks Automotive were gracious enough to install an alternator and VVT solenoid on a Saturday, which is a typically a light work day. I was able to get my wife and kids back home to DMV area.

Been there a few times for an inspection/for some work. Owner was very honest about what my car needed, and told me what I could fix myself so that the bill wouldn't be so high. I took his advice, and then took it back for a re-inspection/for the rest of the work. They ended up doing that for free since they said they had a simple fix for it. Ended up paying probably $60 total in inspection fees and parts, compared to the hundreds other shops would have tried to charge. Would recommend!Service: Tires

Picked up and dropped off a U-Haul here with a friend when the website wasn t working, we went inside to figure things out. Lee helped us out cracked jokes the whole time! He brightened our morning and was SO accommodating and helpful. Whether it s for renting another U-Haul or for a car repair, I ll definitely be back!

There is a lot to be said for the local auto repair shop, just to point out a few, this place is awesome, personal, professional, experienced, dedicated, honest, knowledgeable, trustworthy, and friendly. Starting with Jennifer at the desk, who is obviously much more than someone who answers the phones and greets customers to Mitch in the shop who knows his way around an engine and isn't afraid to take the time to show the customer details that will help with the maintenance of their vehicle . The owner Lee is friendly and takes great pride in the work of his shop and his employees. It's great to find a place that gives you piece of mind when you need service on your vehicle. Thank you for all that you do everyday in serving the community.My ford truck and I thank you.

GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Went in to make an appointment to get a wheel bearing replaced and a tire rotation. When I arrived they told me they could get it in same day and have it fixed by the end of the work day. They do great work and don't try to rip you off with "extra" work that "needs" to be done with your vehicle. As long as I am in Virginia I will continue to use this business for all my vehicle repairs and inspections. Thank you again!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Lee has put together a great team. I have known him professionally since 2004 and have had a couple vehicles repaired at his shop. Never have I had to complain. If your car needs a service, use AUTOWORKS with confidence.I would recommend that Lee find a bigger shop because my last visit his lot was full, which can only mean the word of his unique shop is getting out.Thanks once again for great pricing, work, and atmosphere.Joe K

I usually wait a bit until I write a review for auto shops...to make sure everything fixed is as advertised.I got my state inspection done on a Monday and had my brakes/rotors replaced that Friday. I like that it is close to my office and I can drop my Vehicle off and walk to work. They also have good communication as far as updates if anything may arise while they are inspecting/working on your vehicle. 4/5 stars ONLY due to price, while not out of the ballpark it is higher than I have seen. (I do realize that the awesome location I commented on may cause them to demand the higher prices.)
