Frank is a great guy and SUPER knowledgeable.I highly recommend him!!!My 91 Vanagon struggled with cooling issues for years. I went to several mechanics and spend lots of $$$ and none got it right. Frank in minutes showed me how to fix the cooling problem. He's taught a ton about my Van and has been a great resource for parts. So refreshing to meet a mechanic who cares, knows their stuff and trustworthy.

Frank and Orrin are great guys! I was traveling through VA on the way the Chicago when the coil pack on my car failed. Without an appointment, they helped me diagnose the problem late on a Saturday afternoon and helped me find the part as well.

I have dealt with Frank on a few occasions with my Westy. He's always been fair and straight up with me. He can be a bit forward and may need a teensy bit of work on customer service, but he is VERY knowledgeable on VW's despite what other have said. I have always had great service with him and will continue to go back.

Absolutely loved going here and dealing with Frank. I live in NYC and found a seller in Norfolk selling a Bay Window Bus, we arranged to meet at the Bughouse to have it looked over when I went down there. Frank was completely accommodating and he really knows his stuff. The storefront is stocked with tons of cool parts and accessories for aircooled VDubs, he was able to sell me a whole bunch of OE maintenance items on the spot rather than me ordering them online. Frank even helped us load the bus onto the trailer and get it all strapped down, really the nicest guy. Absolutely would recommend anyone in the area go to Frank, I'll most definitely be back whenever I'm down in the area!

Layed back bug service. I enjoyed talking with Frank. He wouldn't have been around this long if he had a bad reputation. I like these guys. Fair and honest. They know vintage VW's. The hours are not typical and that works to your favor. Ibwiyod say I'll be back, but hopefully not, but I gotta bug so I'm sure I will. And when I'm back I know they will take care of me and my 1970 convertible.

Great place for vintage VW repairs and parts. Very knowledgeable. They are very helpful providing tips about your VW since most older cars are in different stages of wear and tear. Don't try to overcharge or recommend unnecessary repairs ... Mindset of if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it!

I have been very pleased with my service at the bug house. I have a 2004 Jetta that I keep in immaculate running condition (thanks to the bug house). Over the years they have done oil changes, fixed a fuel leak, changed a timing belt, replaced seat belts that my dog chewed, and other jobs related to deciphering what the check engine light is trying to tell me. They always tell me exactly what the problem is, and always normally gives me two options on how to deal with it. They even show me on/in the car what the problem might be. He really knows his stuff about Volkswagens. If you want to keep your car in pristine shape, get the most miles out of it, and not get robbed by a mechanic just trying to make a buck, I highly recommend the bughouse.

We were visiting VA Beach on vacation.stopped to get some parts for my 74 super beetle.he had all the parts I needed on hand.the price was great and Frank was a super nice guy very helpful.

They fixed everything that needs to be fix and will work on the stubborn parts longer if needed and willing to help find any parts you need if he doesn't have them.
