I really like the emission and inspection services here. The mechanic and the receptionist are attentive to the needs of their customers, and the prices for the offered services are reasonable, which can be hard to find in the DMV area. Inspection has a quick turnaround time of 25-30 minutes, but they are really thorough with the services. They even helped fix my broken glove board. Also, definitely take advantage of the vacuum service from here.

I have nothing to say but positive things about those running the operation at this Shell. They're friendly and quick with inspections, oil changes, etc. But what impressed me the most was the honesty and integrity of the employees. My engine light came on and the supervisor (I believe his name was Alex) informed me it could be a repair of $1000+, but then suggested buying a $35 part first to see if it would fix the issue, which it did! They easily could've tried to money grab, but instead truly put the customer first.

I routinely use this shop for my car and motorcycle inspections. They are quick, easy, and never try to up-sell you. If your car needs something to pass or they find something unsafe, they will let you know and have mechanics who can do the work on premises; but they never use it to oversell work... just honest assessments with your safety in mind.

This is the only Auto Shop I will go to in Vienna. My boy Alex is so nice and helpful when it comes to any issue with your car. The Shell location is one of my favorites because of the level of technical skill exhibited by the guys at the workshop.This location is also good with coupons aside quality of service.

Came in with a nail in my tire after the garage had closed but Hassim was still there and was able to stay late to assist. Was extremely polite and professional and really helped me out. All around great service and would recommend Hassim to anyone looking for repairs.

Mr. Hassim s knowledge and service focus is rarely found today. Therefore, I give a 5 Star rating to James Madison Shell and Mr. Hassim. I came here for a front light bulb change in my car and the shop charged me $70 for a bulb change, charged $45 for labor and it took the mechanic no time and this is extremely pricey compared to the market value of said service. I have been screwed over twice for inspections about 7 years back claiming I needed $600 in repairs when I just took it to another shop and it passed with flying colors. It s clear this place is scamming people and you can tell there is an insane amount of fake 5 star reviews. They have the most expensive gas in Vienna by .30 and that should tell you everything you need to know, they are money and profit driven and are openly scamming people

I get my car service here all the time, but tonight shop was closed I just landed at Dulles airport & my car battery was disconnected I connected it and I didn t connect it all the way tight. I drove here with loose terminals. I found Hasim here and he got up and help me without any hesitation. Very pricey. Was told my car had to have synthetic oil bc of the year. Not sure if true but was already here with an appointment. Called a place down the street equally wellrated and was quoted <$30 for same service. My mistake for just going with it because I was here.Wish I had done better checking before letting them start.Service: Oil change

recommend Hassim and Chahel Automotive here at James Madison Shell. My car broke down tonight. I happened to pull over there when the warning lights came on and when I turned off the car, it would not restart. Hassim asked if I needed help. He helped me add engine oil, checked the transmission fluid, tried charging my battery. He even called Advanced Autoparts to arrange for me to go there for a new battery, but then we realized the charge wasn t holding, so instead of doing that, I was able to leave my car there to be serviced. AND he provided a loaner car. I was so grateful Hassim and Chahel Automotive were right there when I needed them and that I wasn t on the side of the road instead. I was safely back home within a reasonable amount of time. Hassim was helpful, calm, and friendly. Breaking down is no fun, but he made the experience much less frustrating. Thank you so very much. recommend.

I grew up in Vienna, VA and I remember when James Madison Shell was the mechanics you could trust your car with. Frank at the front desk would always take care of you. 3-6 years back, my dad was ripped off by the safety emissions inspector and I decided to stop going here. My parents car had a flat tire and I decided to give this place another try and possibly confront any crooks. To my surprise, they really took care of me. I found out that a lot of people were ripped off by this safety inspector and they had fired the individual. James Madison is under new management and this management understands that businesses in Vienna will only be successful when they maintain values such as respect, trust and service in our small town of Vienna, VA. Ask for Haseen if you run into any issues, he knows what service is truly about!Service: Tires

Hassim fixed a punctured tire on a Sunday when all other places were closed. He was courteous, fast, and personable. We really appreciate that he was able to do this and keep our car on the road.Furthermore, he suggested we go to the Sunoco also owned by the same group for safety and emissions inspection. Another helpful tip, avoiding long waits on a weekday.Thanks Hassim

Man!! I tell Haseem is the best, I literally had a tire issue and had no idea what I was going to do being that it was late at night but he took his time and took care of me!! Yeayy to Chahel!! They are awesome take all your car issues to them and the treatment is pure gold!!

I have been going to this Shell for inspections and minor issues for several years, at least 10, and have been very pleased with their service. Recently, instead of going to my dealership per usual, I took my 2010 Ford Fusion hybrid to them for my 140,000 mile service. While my knowledge of mechanical issues is quite limited, I can tell that these mechanics really know their trade and my car is running beautifully. In addition, they gave me a choice of a loaner or a ride to and from my home while they were working on my car ... a wonderful option. Everyone on the staff is very personable and it is a pleasure to do business with them.

I got my inspection done here today and they were so nice, at least the man who did my inspection. He was funny and kind the woman who worked on the shell side was also really sweet. It was also very quick and convenient as I work across the street

Hassim was the best! I had a flat tire and it was all fixed and I was on my way in 15 minutes. Fast, inexpensive for Vienna, and professional. 6 out of 5 stars.

Hassim at the James Madison Shell went above and beyond to provide me great service. I drove in on a Sunday after 12 PM and Hassim was working as a cashier. I asked if anyone was here that could help plug a tire, and he said, service was closed, but even though he was working as a cashier, he could do the work for me. He balanced his cashier responsibilities with being very methodical about reviewing my tire for a leak. He found it, repaired it, reviewing his work and then reviewed the pressure of all my tires to make the same. Incredibly friendly and went the extra mile on a Sunday to help me. I will return to this station for work in the future given my positive experience with James Madison Shell and Hassim.Service: General repairs

I rolled in after service hours had closed on a Sunday with a tire puncture in my vehicle. While most businesses would have simply declined the repair outside of service hours, Hassim jumped into action, put a plug in and had me back on the road in undet 15 minutes. Super fast and friendly service - will be back for routine maintenance thanks to Hassim s excellent service.Service: Tires

On Sunday, I got a screw in the rear tire that Hassim was able to fix on the spot..... No need to wait until Monday for a repair appointment. His willingness help is greatly appreciated and the reason why I use James Madison Shell for annual inspections and emissions tests. They are local and the service hours go beyond 9-5, M-F. I enjoy coming to this location as I am always kindly greeted by Swe and Dan. I needed an oil change last minute and they were able to fit me in the same week. I recommend to call ahead to make an appointment because they can get very busy! I also find that their prices are great for oil changes and very reasonable for other services! After every service, a technician will go over in detail what was done during the service and any suggested services that may be needed. Customer service is always on point and I will continue to come here for all my auto service needs!

I have gone to James Madison Shell for the past 14 years and their service has always been excellent. They have been willing to work me into their schedule when emergencies arise. Their service has always been timely and thorough. Lastly, they have always taken the time to explain in detail every procedure they have performed on my car.

Hassim was a lifesaver. I pulled up with a flat tire and even though the shop was closed he ran to the back and yanked out a huge nail from my tire and plugged it right away. Super helpful and kind. Above and beyond!Service: TiresService: Tires

My radiator hose blew while I was sitting in heavy traffic on Hunter Mill, a block from Chain Bridge Rd. I managed to get off the road quickly. I noticed that my overflow bottle was also disconnected. It appears my previous service center repairs were faulty. A Good Samaritan stopped, reconnected both, and refilled my antifreeze. He recommended I have it checked by a mechanic, just to be sure.I visited the closest service station, but all of the mechanics had left for the day (4:57pm). I was told to go to James Madison Shell. Luckily, they had a mechanic who works after 5pm. Andre checked my hoses, topped off the antifreeze, allowed my car to run for a while, and rechecked everything for leaks. I was there at least 20 minutes, and was charged nothing! Knowing little to nothing about cars, he could have told me anything, and charged me whatever. Thank you Andre for being honest, and helping out a driver in distress, all for nothing in return. I found 2 Good Samaritan's that day!
